Really interesting entry! Love the concept of planting and harvesting letters to spell commands. Took a little bit to get the hang of what was expected but definitely enjoyed it. Great work!

Really interesting entry! Love the concept of planting and harvesting letters to spell commands. Took a little bit to get the hang of what was expected but definitely enjoyed it. Great work!
i like it, it's got like an incremental/clicker vibe while also having a little bit of strats of how to get the next letter. The other commands were clear but the shears one took a bit to figure out: i came back to it later when i literally had no more moves left to get the letter O and trial and errored it alphabetically. Other than that, it was honestly a good solid game.
Well well done! This is very cool and interesting game concept. I enjoyed playing. Thanks for this game.
My favorite game so far. Very fresh twist on the clicker genre. Liked the puzzly nature of shear mechanic, and the console tips were great. The only minus is the lack of SFX (hope you will add it in the future) :fire: :fire: :fire:
Very interesting take on the theme ! I love minimalistic games and this one is definitely one of them. Well done ! (I played with and without the sound on. This is way better with ! ;) )
I liked this game, I felt compelled to complete it because it was so simple. Be interested to see this game expanded but have no suggestions on how to do so.
what an absolutely original idea! I've never seen something like that before, so just for that, big congrats! it was not easy first, and the UI is a bit rough (but none of that is a problem to me anyway). Really, it's a breathtaking concept, really well executed!
I got really sucked into this one. Great concept and a lot of fun to play
really smart and original, I loved the text highlighting showing what letters were missing from the commands :D
This game was super fun to play and I have not seen anything like this. There was one bug when you sold a letter there was a chance you would get the money but keep the letter, this happened three times in a row to me. Apart from that I wish to congratulate you on making an awesome game!
Engaged all the way thru the end! I like that there's no explanation for the special abilities you can spell, it was really rewarding to figure out the puzzle of this game. The sound effects were appropriate and kept things juicy, and it felt great to finally buy the N! Perfect little game, well done
Such a fantastic idea, and extremely well-executed! The gameplay was original and undeniably engaging. It might have taken a bit of thought to see the true path to the goal, but for a puzzle game, that's hardly a bad thing. I can see that you had a vision and managed to make exactly what you set out to make. Congrats!
Really fun puzzle game with a lot of really interesting ideas! Nice work, I was compelled to play to the end! Hiding a lot of the buy options behind "Upgrade" was a fantastic way to keep players from feeling overwhelmed at the start. Really smart idea!
A+ for innovation! i love seeing people make creative text based games, buying harvesting and selling the very letters you use for commands is such a wonderful idea, especially for the theme.
i think the delay for seeding is a bit too long tho, i want to play this game fast!
@apollowales, thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure if the described bug with letters exists as a bug of inventory. Actually our inventory UI can be misleading, because it can show only 4 letters (but in fact you can have more)
I didn't want it to end :) Genius idea! I love the absolutely bulletproof execution of a smart concept in such a clean and minimalist design. The shears are a very fun idea, and I love the steadily expanding, logical requirements for more valuable letters. Excellent job on the game design, from start to finish!

What, this is so creative! I love this! There was so much more depth to this than I expected going in. It's really cool how much you managed to accomplish in the end and I like that by the end you end up collecting every letter, very satisfying. The shears was a cool idea too, requiring some lateral thinking. Great work all around.
Wow, that was fantastic!!! *Really* really innovative idea, I didn't understand everything until about 10 minutes in, but I ended up getting into the groove of the game and actually finished it! It was *LONG*, but I don't really think I can say that's a bad thing -- The art is simple and honestly does it's job just as well as any other style could, along with the new sound effects adding *just enough*, without actually requiring much work to implement!
My takeaway from this is, I have nothing negative to say about this game, it's really really well made and anything I would try to add to it is either unnessesary or harmful to the simplicity of the game; great job, keep it up!
Cool idea! Really liked this game, very innovative twist on the theme.
Proof that constraints only increase creativity. Great job!
What an innovative idea! LOVE the original and clever mechanics. I didn't want it to end, one of the best I've seen so far.
I can only say what others before. Excellent idea!
Hey! Unfortunattely I just can't rate the game, as I didnt sumbmit mine this time. Great idea! Very old school game design, and I really really like the game overall. Sounds are not so authenthic though, but still, great submission! Thank you!
Ok I planned half an hour to play several games. Instead I played this. 2023-01-19 18_47_17-CharacteRiser _ ldjam.com _ Ludum Dare game jam — Mozilla Firefox.png
If this would be a demo to a paid full game I'd buy it.
