I like the style and despite not being a rhythm games fan myself I had fun playing this one.

Can you include the full source, minus the Library folder, in your source download? I was curious to look at the bug but can't open the project as-is in Unity.
@zesix i cant right now but i can later
The music and visuals is really cool. The gameplay idea is simple and pretty fun. I wish there was a bit more to the gameplay, but it's okay for a jam game. Overall a well made little jam game.
@zesix I have updated the file link to include the full unity project
Whaaaa nice job, you are a great game. Very fun et beautiful
I really like the style of this game, well done.
Dang, I love the graphics. Very well done.
Is it really rythm based ? Didn't feel it quite well.
However, reming me audiosurf in the game play, and oh lord did i loose time on audiosurf back in the day. Graphism are great, could litterally spend time on this if there was more track, because the audio is so good. You did great !
Very nice vibe. Really fun gameplay and amazing polish. Good job!
very smooth gameplay combined with great graphics
Impressive how polished and complete this feels. Great job on all the areas.
Thankyou everyone for all the feedback so far! I really appreciate you checking out my game!
I think you did an amazing job. The music is good but i don't really feel it connects with the game field to call it rythembased but that is just me. The loop had a verry trippy effect i can imagine this game would work wel in VR.
Wow! This game is amazing! It feels so polished This is the only game I have seen so far that I actually find addicting
I absolutely loved this game! I love rhythm games that give you this sense of speed! This is so impressive for a compo, what a job well done. Did you make the music entirely yourself? Because that is one sick beat. I love that you added a hard mode, I need that challenge!!
147.47s. Great game all round!
@jag I made all the music in the game, I actually made one song with different sections then split them up to make the different loops for slalom, etc. , I'm glad you enjoyed it! @sven-lowry that's a great time! was it on easy or hard mode? :)
I follow your post all the time and it's realy cool to see the final game :) Realy good game feel!
Not bad, sadly I wasn't any good at it. The graphics were simple but very good. I heard no sound, not sure if this was a bug or if it just had no sound?
@simplepotential do you mean theres no music? this may be a bug on your end
THis is a compo game?? Insane!
really cool smooth and polished.
Great Graohics audio and gameplay!
Score is from hard mode. Died in second slalom
Hyperloop.png
@r3l0ad1 - Yeah, no music on my end, just some cracking sounds. I've adjusted my rating up based on others comments that the audio is good since obviously just a bug on my end :)
@simplepotential i appreciate it, sorry you didnt get to fully experience the game
Reminds me of redline rumble
Man, I absolutely loved the camera dynamics. It felt extremely cool to play and maneuver through the track. If I had to I'd say the biggest problem I had was that for a rythm game, I didn't feel the beats lining up with the blocking sections you have to cross. Still, probably the coolest feeling game I played this LD.
Nice entry! I like that you took the time to make an game Icon! It feels good, to play, a good sense of speed! Also crashing the obstacles have a really good effect. Is there more than "Slaloms"? I would probably used the dead effect more during the game in a different variant. But I like the polishness of the experience! Nice COMPO enty.I miss some sound effects when switching the lane though :)
The presentation of this game is great ! I really like the feel of it and the style. Could have a bit more than just the Slaloms but it nice nonetheless.
Nice entry! I really liked the graphics, I really like that techno - computery style in videogames! nice job!
Such cool graphics and vibe. OST is great. Well done ! I liked the death VFX !
Nice visuals and music but you should have made it so that you pass through each hole on a beat or other musical cue.
Wow! That's an engaging game! I'm not a fan of infinite runners, but this game is fun to play. Graphics, effects, pacing, and the main thing - music - are the core elements of success in this case. It's a very polished and well-crafted game. Thank you!
honestly this is my favorite so far after "spaced out" by lanalux
Cool game!
Really cool. Well done on this! : D
The gorgeous minimalist aesthetic reminds me of Thumper. Though I kind of wish there was a graphics setting, my computer couldn't handle all the post processing at a full 60 fps
Really polished entry. I used to love these kinds of games when I was a kid, the aesthetic reminds me of the old Tomy viewfinder game. I didn't really see it as a rhythm game - I can't be sure if the obstacles were passing you in time with the music, but it didn't seem like moving on the beat had any correlation with the collision. Nevertheless, loads of fun to play and really slick.
Hyperloop.png
This was on difficult - I think I managed about 140s on easy, but the faster speed was way more fun.
@niterich I was actually sort of going off of the thumper vibe! Like the small camera shake to indicate speed and the idea of just having some empty space and an infinite track ahead, Im also pretty sure I accidentally used the same percussion pack as them! I love thumper and it was one of the biggest inspirations for my game!
I played this for way too long, definitely the most fun game I have played this jam.
I was hyped when I saw you posting updates along the jams, and It's absolutly gorgeous !
the music is PERFECT the genre :)
Movement could be a little faster (reactive), or a difficulty 3 at higher speed ?
5/5 for a compo :)
Excellent interpretation of the theme, I can imagine this would be super addictive if you'd be able to load custom songs and possibly even as a VR game. The visuals complement the atmosphere of X whooshing by nicely. Well done!
I'm getting old. Managed just short of 40 seconds on the hard difficulty, but man I had fun. This felt very well polished, I loved the graphics and sound effects, especially when you die, it's really well executed! I loved the thing about the text warning you whats next, felt really good, and created anticipation, especially the first time I saw 'Slalom'. Pat on the back from here - Great job, and thanks a lot for sharing :-)
Loved the game, wasn't what I expected and I loved the shake up with the slalom break, would have loved to see more. One thing that would have made the game even better was if the music was synced up to as you're passing through those X's
I saw some gif you posted during the event, it made me think of audiosurf. And there is definitely an audiosurf vibe in this game. Making 2 levels of difficulty and variations during the gameply is a great addition.
You really could make a full game with this concept.
This is the best compo game during this event I've seen so far. Good job!
Absolutely amazing, love the audio and visuals. Standard difficulty was a bit too easy, but hard definitely posed a good challenge (score is from hard) Overall, great job! Capture.JPG
Polished, well scoped game. Some possible things you could iterate on: a clear hit-box for the player (The hitbox was very forgiving but having a visual indicator of bounds would be nice), and maybe finding a way for the obstacles to sync with the beat of the music (the screen shake when you passed a gate was so satisfying that i wanted the bass drum to hit at the same time)
Без имени-1.png INSANE! SLALOM level part are great! two slaloms = even greater. My favorite game atm
Hello fellow HYPERLOOP game :) This is awesome! A very fleshed out and polished experience. The art style may be reduced but it's executed to perfection. Visually pleasing. The soundtrack is pumping and fits the context of the game well. Controls are responsive and dashing through the loop is very satisfying, especially at 144fps.
Easy mode got boring rather fast, so I switched to hard mode. That's how it's meant to be played! I little more variation in obstacles would've been awesome. Maybe jumping over or ducking under stuff could mix the game play up a little. Congrats nonetheless. Very good entry!
@duke thanks so much! Easy mode definately gets boring, I actually originally didn't have easy mode, however I felt the game needed an entry point for people who hadn't played it before, as I find when you crunch time on a game you get used to it very easily and you forget what the experience for a user who has never played before is like. Im glad you enjoyed it.
woa..... just woaaaaaa...
nice visuals and motivating beat
138.65 is my score
verry cool game
i really enjoyed playing
i suggest you make this for android and you will have big revenue
Simple but stunning atmosphere. Great compo :star2::star2::star2::star2::star2:
wow, very well done! Super visuals and feedback from game. (At start of jam I thought about this sort of game too.) I think hard mode even more fun than easy. But the thing that annoyed is delay on switching between tracks.. Dunno if this problem only for me.
Woooow, this game is beauutiful ! The graphics are very simple, yet every aspect of it is really working ! The mood made by the music and the difficulty of hard mode is really endearing, congrats !
Nice aesthetics while keeping simplicity.
Awesome game. Honestly, this idea was perfect for a game jam - simple game that doesn't need explanation to play, fits the theme well and with scope that allows a single person to polish it within 48 hours. Little things like the death sound/vfx, the way the text blends with the level and the fact that game remembers your difficuly selection upon restart shows the author cared about the details of making games even in the restricted time we had. 5/5.
Good job!! I made 189s in my first try, so I'll suggest that the patterns come faster each time  Really cool graphics and music, and good fit to the theme
All in all I think this was a solid submission! Great graphics and a great concept! In terms of innovation, it may not be the most original, but the execution justifies it. Good work!
Really polished entry! Love the visuals and the smoothness of transitioning between lanes!
That game was fun but I have no idea how these scores are possible, my best try in hard was at around 40 seconds and I was proud of myself before coming to the comment section :p As a detail, I would say that movements should be more responsive (less transition from one lane to another) at it was a bit frustrating from time to time but this is not really a big deal as overall the game is really good with nice graphics and audio (not really my favourite genre but it fits the game quite well) and fun gameplay
Very fun, simple but engaging. The music / audio feedback really helps with the intensity and the slalom sections on hard are frantic. Just about managed 83.42 on hard... Great stuff.
EDIT: Managed to post twice... Ignore me x_x
The graphics are amazing! I love the way you displayed the timer zooming down towards you! The music suits the game very well, too.
this is a really fun, minimalistic and polished game - very good work :)
It was fun, I loved the esthetic. An idea to improve it even further would be implementing some kind of leaderboard. There are even some easy tools to do an online leaderboard with Unity like [this one](https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/network/dreamlo-com-free-instant-leaderboards-and-promocode-system-3862) (I used it once and thought it was pretty neat :) ) It was a very good entry overall in my opinion ^^
69 on hard mode first try. Never gonna play again, that will forever be my highscore.
Great work, I love sounds, controls, movement and stylish visuals. I wish I could make such visuals myself. Really strong work. Well done.
Wow! The graphics and soundtrack are really captivating! After two games that ended in quick failures, I managed to get 292.88 seconds. Well done, @r3l0ad1 !
This game has an astonishing amount of flair and polish for a compo game. But that's not to say it's all style and no substance! The gameplay is solid and engaging and fits the theme well. I'm impressed.
Great entry! Love every aspect of it. I only can wish for some more synchronized beats with the obstacles, but you know that I guess.
Here is my attempt:
https://youtu.be/Xu2dq7jfWzA
Thats just my personal favourite from this jam! You took a really simple idea without ton of features and polished it to perfection! That's exactly what jam games should be! Also music and camera movement reminds me of the game Thrumper, I wonder if it was intentional.
@jima yes, I got some inspiration from thumper as I absolutely love the feel of it.
@r3l0ad1 Well, you nailed it then :)
Ayyy, I made it to 40 seconds on hard mode (it's not that impressive when I think about it). I really like fast and crazy games, especially when they're polished, like this game :)
I would add the ability to hold the button instead of repeatedly pressing it, it was really hard to make the super sharp turns.
I didn't encounter any black square so yay, great game! :D
fun game, would make a great mobile game!
Absolutely in love with the graphics!
Could use more music (maybe a little less dark, too, but hourses for courses, I guess)
Awesome job for compo! Definitely would like to see more of it
Great game, one of my favorites of the compo for sure.
Loved the whole mood of the game. It would be extra cool if the music was in sync with the track (kind of like audiosurf), but the soundtrack is great, so it's OK :)
I really liked this game! It was pretty fun to play, and I would definitely pay for something like this. Saw it on "BuriedThings" on Twitch and just had to try it myself. Keep up the great work! The website isn't letting me attach an image, so here's a link to a screenshot with my high score of 159.36 seconds! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rU0uzu16YDIHMhfixzT949dxWBoVdSe2/view?usp=sharing
This game is so smooth! This would make a great arcade game, I liked the feel of it. Nice job!
Here's my highscore on easy:Screenshot_82.png
This was quite enjoyable! I've seen a good number of the concepts like this, the theme connection is slightly tenuous, made only by the curve of the track, but the work involved to make that happen is alone impressive. The visual effects and sound effects are all gorgeous, the filters and lighting really elevating what would at first seem like fairly simple visuals. I'd almost be tempted to see what this game was like in VR.
Gameplay-wise I think there's not too much to say. It's solid, works nice, the controls are tight. I think the game should have ramped up in difficulty as time went by (or if it did then I didn't notice) and even in hard mode I never felt like I was super challenged.
On the whole, really solid excellent little entry. Reminded me of a stripped down Thumper.
The audio is on point! Graphics are minimal, yet pleasing and fit with the intense mood. Fun to play, even if there's not much to do other than "go longer".
Having spoken to the dev on stream, this game was made by a solo 14-year old in two days. Holy hell this is impressive. Visuals are fairly minimal but not in a bad way, they're super cohesive and polished. Audio is equally great, and the gameplay is really smooth and fun.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/769405219?t=00h23m27s
Audio and visuals combine to create a very tense mood! I'd be interested in seeing the concept taken farther.
Wow it's clean! It's beautiful, simple and efficient! It's very rare to come across a jam game that is so polished! You're probably a big fan of Thumper because I find there the sensations and the atmosphere! It's catchy, the twisted road gives the feeling of being carried away in an infernal whirlwind. However I don't feel like the patterns are on the rhythm (I'm not sure, maybe they are, maybe not, you don't mention it in the description so I guess it's not the intention) when maybe it could have added even more tension. But I guess you would have had to increase the speed of the music to keep up with the rhythm and maybe it wouldn't have been elegant... I don't know (maybe you tested it and it wasn't conclusive?). Thank you for this short and intense experience! :D
Great fun game, how did you achieve this level of graphic did you use any packages in unity other than the post-processing one?
@fadrikalexander just the standard HDRP post-processing and I modified the post-processing effects a tiny bit
Hey great game! I had to reach 100s to realize I was stuck in a loop, but kept playing anyway. I really like the graphics and the camera is insane. The way it move and shakes when passing between Xs, was it Cinemachine? Also I used a combination of A and left arrow to slalom faster to the left hehehe. The mechanics are quite easy to understand and like mentioned above, the controls are very responsive. I got to 550s or so before I got a black box that filled my screen, but I'm guessing you know about that. Overall very impressive entry and would definitely play again!
Simple but *really* engaging game! Reminds me of a game (that I sadly don't remember the name of) that I used to play a lot when I was younger (nostalgia bonus gained!)
Graphics, SFX and (especially) music are executed amazingly well. Everything about this game screams polished. I also don't think the graphics need to be more complex as that might be distracting.
Sadly, it didn't run too well on my machine. But that's my fault, really, for only having integrated Intel graphics.
I missed the relation to the theme a bit, maybe there would've been more opportunities to add it to the gameplay.
But I'm starting to nitpick. You did a great job with this! Amazing entry!
Got 75.98s for hard. Still long way to go xD. Love the simple 3d game graphics and music, and also fun too on repeated plays!
Awesome game, the music is indeed super nice. And you even managed not to make it boring while looping.
no wonder you have so many rates... I'm still stuck under 20
Very interesting game, I like the visuals and the audio, pretty fitting, very fun and innovative, i only have one little problem. It would be nice if there was a quit button.
Overall, Very good and has potencial
-WitekWitek
So awesome entry! I could play this again and again. Love the almost "Tron-like" asthetics. Overall a very smooth experience with great sounds and vibe! Absolutelly love this. Great job!
@witekwitek as it says on the main menu you can press the [ESC] key to quit.
@r3l0ad1 Oh sorry, I didn't really notice that, I changed my mind. Overall, good game. Sorry
-WitekWitek
Wow! This is super polished. I can easily see this becoming a really good hypercasual mobile experience. The first person view is super exhilarating. I managed to keep going for like 88 seconds and then died. The difficulty sort of doesn't change throughout the whole experience so that is something you could look into. Maybe have power-ups which let you survive a hit, that would help the pacing by giving players a small window to relax.
But overall, Really great game, super fun!
Great game! Good job. :)
Wow that was really cool, I'm going to be playing this more on my commute! The concept is not supper innovative but it's so well done! The music is really giving it that hyped mood and the fiery effect when you hit something is super cool. When I started playing I thought it was way too hard but after a while I got the hang of it which was super satisfying. I like that there's a delay in your movement so the most important thing is that you look ahead. The way the perspective was done on the loop works really well for this. Very good entry, I really enjoyed myself!
Nice game !
