LD39 — Running out of Power

SPACEJAMMED by Ava Skoog 2017-08-08T12:38:49Z

As someone, who is not used to solving puzzles, I looked at this game and thought that it was quite hard. I tried to solve it for like two minutes and then just closed browser tab - I was just afraid that it is hard. Then I read a comment about how cool the effect at the end is and I wanted to saw it really bad :). So I openned the game one more time, spent about 15 minutes or so and completed it. The effect was really good indeed. And the game actually looked harder than it really was. I think it is a bad thing, because there are people like me, who just will be scared of hard game.

The game has really beautiful graphics and animations. I love those rocket boots. Besides difficulty, I found only one thing I would like to improve: far objects are a bit hard to see. For far cells it is not obvious which cell is occupied by which element and some elements are hard to recognize. It would be much better, if camera moved forward a bit, when your character is flying over the far cells.

Geralt's secret powersource by Sublustris 2017-08-01T19:47:37Z

Haha, this was actually fun! Graphics are solid, music is fitting game mood very well and silly sounds make this fun mood of the game even better. There is slight issue with hitboxes, but once I understood it, game became pretty easy.

Highway to the Nearest Gas Station by ping78 2017-08-05T08:47:28Z

Well, it's a nice game, but it gets boring quite fast. I understand that you had limited time and considering it, this game actually is not bad. What you could do to make it more fun is add some other mechanics, like your car is breaking and you need to find tools to fix it. Or just make road to gas station a bit shorter. First half of the road I had fun, then the game becomes repetitive. If the road would be twice shorter, the game will be better. I liked how you were able to add main menu and even settings to the game. Hidden gas canisters under the crates are a good touch too. And I just love crashing into piles of crates with the car :)

Punchey! (VR ONLY) by shadowbrain 2017-08-01T15:39:26Z

Nice minimalistic graphics!

133MHz by ouichesdoctor 2017-08-02T20:16:25Z

Awesome idea and execution. There are some confusing elements, but you can figure them out quite fast. The one that got me too much to figure - you have to type number in percents in taskset command, not number of mhz.

Power Plant Assault by Demonac 2017-08-02T20:34:46Z

You should totally include your video in description https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFDXUZBbvdQ

Breaker Breaker! by FlyingMeta 2017-08-01T19:36:15Z

Music is really cool, graphics are simple, but overall style is awesome. Gameplay become a bit repetitive after you master the controls, but I had some fun playing it. After I reached end of the level, though, music has changed but nothing happened. I believe you just haven't got enough time to add some kind of ending. Anyway, great game!

The Hackerman by Steing 2017-08-08T12:56:15Z

I just lost my shit when my grandma texted me. This is the exact reason why I always keep my skype at "do not disturb" mode. Really great sense of humor, my favourite popup is "Top 10 anime fights". Different wallpapers are a great touch too. Interpretation of theme is one of the best I've seen for now.

Robot Head by Resat İnci 2017-08-01T19:23:27Z

Awesome graphics and sound design! Controls are a bit too unresponsive, i think character has too much inertia, but you can master it after some time. Health indicators directly at enemies sprites is a nice touch. This game is actually pretty difficult. Not because of enemies, but because of platforms placement and controls. Anyway, I enjoyed it, nice game!

Robot Head by Resat İnci 2017-08-01T19:23:28Z

Actually, screens shows that later in the game you have some kind of robot legs, but never got past platforms directly after beginning. This controls are difficult.

Power Sphere by Sergey Nelga 2017-08-02T19:58:20Z

Visually this game is really cool looking, I liked it a lot. What about gameplay - this game seems like solid concept but at this stage it is not really enjoyable. Everything happens too slow, camera movement is really weird and gives you a feeling of dizziness. I think you should disable camera roll, it would feel much more natural without is.

CoolCoalGame by Gris 2017-08-01T15:46:56Z

I love how you got this tutorial and small story at the beginning. I want to add that it would be nice to have currency symbol near money counter. I was looking for it for like 5 minutes

arena.sim by Rionisse 2017-08-02T10:42:16Z

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Yes, @sauski, the enemy is easy to trick, but this is the desired behaviour. Our task as developers was to make our game fun to play, not to make it impossible hard. It requires managable enemies, not invincible ones. Actually, first versions of the AI would chase you with inhuman speed and just push you out of the arena :) It was impressive, but not fun to play. We had very limited time, which we used to tweek the AI as good as we can. Current settings works quite good for variety of players, it is possible even for unskilled players to score some points, and skilled players can still try to get as much points as they can. For example, one member of our team hardly gets 3 kills, when another member has highscore of around 21 kills.

arena.sim by Rionisse 2017-08-03T08:32:06Z

@modalmodule yes looks like some kind of unity webgl bug. What is your browser and operating system?

Power Surge by Some Nerd 2017-08-01T19:12:57Z

I liked that cutscene at the beginning, chuckled once or twice. Nice idea with thief enemies. I think you should place less enemies and flying fireballs. Too much is happening on the screen.

Wayside : A world awaits you by TheCodeFactory 2017-08-08T11:09:14Z

Awesome game. It is simple but actually looks finished and polished. Graphics are simple but very stylish. I could easily see myself playing it on my phone. The only thing I would improve is physics. It looks like you decrease horizontal speed over time. It is not how objects in real life usually behave, so it is a bit confusing at first. If you made horizontal speed constant, I think this game would be a little bit more enjoyable. Overall: this is really good game. Simple but addictive.

And I just love procedural bushes placement

Torch Boy by FloBar 2017-08-02T07:55:57Z

This game is quite hard but after you finish it you have sweet feeling of victory, it was very fun. I loved super responsive controls and cute graphic. Great game!

Bright Plateau by fmdkdd 2017-08-08T13:43:22Z

Really fun game. Easily the best game I've player at this LD. It was perfect from the beginning, but when night levels kicked in, my jaw just dropped. Very interesting approach on graphics. Looks like you are using 3d graphics and adding pixel shader on top of it. If this is the case, I wonder how it looks without shader. Maybe it would be looking cooler as minimalistic 3d lowpoly game. It totally looks like finished game. Congrats, awesome entry!

VamBot by ModalModule 2017-08-02T20:05:02Z

Well, as already been mentioned, you can't turn left, which is annoying. Also at some point robots started to disappear after I kill them and I was unable to drain their energy. I believe this happens, whed dead robot fly out of the screen bounds. Overall, it is totally playable, slashing other robots is fun, sounds are simple, but slashing sound fits so well

VamBot by ModalModule 2017-08-02T20:43:39Z

@modalmodule that actually sounds reasonable. I think I was really close to the right edge of the screen and all robots exploded off screen, so I didn't notice explosion animation. Anyway, even with this minimalistic graphics this game plays like a solid beat 'em up.

VamBot by ModalModule 2017-08-02T21:31:39Z

@modalmodule no, I believe there is no such feature, which is quite disappointing. I just keep list of games I rated and I check last of them time to time :)

LD42 — Running out of space

Bullet Farmer by CMLSC 2018-08-15T18:08:33Z

Nice graphics and audio! But I think that you should have made aiming with a mouse. I had some fun at the beginning but I got bored fast and session time is a bit long.

Reasonable Claustrophobia by SkullPixel 2018-08-15T18:30:18Z

Wow I really enjoyed playing your game! It is very polished, plays like a fully finished game! Good job!

Passengers Tetris by Gao Ming 2018-08-14T05:23:38Z

Wow! This is a completely finished and polished game! All those sound effects and animations are on point. Graphics are really cool and the music does it's job. I really enjoyed playing it.

The only problem I had is that match-check was not triggered at every turn. And at first I thought that I got some kind of a bug, because I had matches and they did not disappear.

Mindblocked by diptoman 2018-08-15T19:05:25Z

Really nice game! I can totally imagine myself playing this game on my mobile phone! Good job!

Running from ⭐⭐Space⭐⭐ by sobakaduka 2018-08-17T05:05:57Z

Well, visuals are really cool and polished, I enjoyed them a lot. Gameplay is fun, but I found it really tricky to to stop on islands top side. One or two times I was already on the island and then my guy just kind of slide from it. Молодцы, очень достойно! Привет из россии.

Rainforest by SimoGecko 2018-08-15T18:22:10Z

Visuals are on point! It was fun

Space Escape! by budadude 2018-08-14T05:09:35Z

Man! This is really cool little game!

The only problem I had is the second fuse was really hard to find. And oxygen timer only made it worse. I died when I collected the fuse and had to start over, it seemed like unnecessary complication. The game is quite short, but I enjoyed it. The visuals are really simple, but they do their work. A really enjoyed music, it is great.

And this location reminded me of half-life: https://i.gyazo.com/27c2afb1b57a65ad36a46b7c39519823.png

High Castle by Wheffle 2018-08-14T04:50:13Z

This is pretty cool game! Overall it looks completed, you even have a story at the beginning and some events like "a lot of enemies are coming" and "the island is destroying". I really enjoyed playing it. The only thing I would like to add is some kind of more interactive tutorial, because it was a bit confusing at the beginning. But it is to much to ask in a 48 hours game! Really solid entry!

Dirty Duty by grahhhhhhhhh 2018-08-17T08:52:15Z

You wanted a honest review and I will leave one. @nam-nguyen already told you about gameplay flaws, so I would like to concentrate on graphics.

It is clear that you wanted to create pixelart graphics, but had not much experience in it. It is totally okay and you would create awesome art if you practice a lot. It seems like you enjoyed drawing assets for you game and this is what really important.

I'll give you some general advices of how you can simply improve your art quality:

* If you are going with pixelart graphics, scale all your art 2 or 3 times larger. Just draw every object 2 times smaller and then scale it. Pixelart often looks better this way. Here is an example:

001.png

* All your straight lines has to be, well, perfectly straight. Pixel art is about precision and it is actually realy easy to draw perfect lines. It is small thing, but it really makes your art look more professional:

002.png

* Try not to use black for all lines. It works nice for outer edges, but for inner edges you often would not want to go for a solid black color. In this shelf it would be a lot better to use dark blue color or even a light shade of blue, as I used here:

003.png

* And the last advice is about your patterns. It is cool that you filled floor and walls with some kind of patterns. But I think they are really dense, I would make both floor and wall tiles at least two times bigger. And wall tiles are too prominent, maybe colors should be turned down a bit like this:

004.png

I believe that with enough practice you can achieve a lot in pixelart, my first works looked similar to your ones. And this is my last work, for example:

1.png

Do not stop making games and good luck in next projects!

Sorry if I had mistakes, English is my second language.

High Factory by Jima 2018-08-14T08:51:59Z

Wow, nicely done, guys! I was a little afraid that conveyors would be hard to figure out, but now I see that I was wrong and you are absolutely killing it!

@rustycrow @cameronpenner extra thanks for screenshots! It is really cool to see what other people can create in your game!

High Factory by Jima 2018-08-15T09:35:58Z

Thanks for feedback guys!

@toboggan I didn't design this game to be slow and boring, quite opossite, actually. Gathering resources with your bare hands is quite slow, sure, but you can craft stone tools in first two minutes of playing. Then next slow process is creating iron ingots, but you can place 2 furnaces and it become quite fast. In the next 10-15 minutes you can automate iron creation completelly. It may be considered as a lot of time in contrast with other games which can be fully completed in 10 minutes, but hey, normal games are a lot longer then this.

After watching some streamers play my game I can agree with you that gameplay can be a bit boring for some people, who are not used to games of this genre. This is because my game lacks a tutorial and some players go slow and boring way - just collecting everything by hand. It is much more fun if you create automatic iron production on third island. With this iron supply you can then craft more machinery to automate all resources collection.

That is the reason I have written a challenge list in the game description, the game should be fun if you try to complete it. Of course the game is boring if you just create a lot of ingots without automation, just placing ore and coal into furnace manually and unlock all islands.

High Factory by Jima 2018-08-18T06:08:07Z

@grahhhhhhhhh Thanks man, your feedback is actually really helpful!

Yeah, you are right, furnace has no indication of what is inside and it is really inconvenient.

Falling of the island was made at the last moment, at first you were falling infinitely, which is really bad. So I added a quick workaround.

Manual resource gathering is boring, I agree, I should have focused more on automation. I think I should have made auto miner an really early craft and add an inventory to it. So you just place it at the beginning of the game and then just collect what it gathered.

High Factory by Jima 2018-08-20T07:38:01Z

Thanks guys!

@icxon huge thanks for a video, it is really cool to see other people play your game a correct way! Especially when your game is as confusing as this one. I see that you had some problems with autominer but you absolutelly nailed it! Unfortunatelly a had no time to properly playtest my game and to add more hints and improve tutorial, I literally haven't played my game properly before I published it.

@velvetlobster that actually was my goal, I was trying to made a game which can be played for at least one hour, that is why I went with a sandbox genre. And I am more than happy with the result!

High Factory by Jima 2018-08-30T10:57:51Z

@saurabh @ultrabi Wow, you two are killing it! Huge thanks for doing challenges and posting screenshots! I am really glad that you enjoyed my game

Overflow by antoined73 2018-08-15T18:15:25Z

Really cool game! I enjoyed visuals and sound, good job!

Night Shift by TomekS 2018-08-17T04:54:02Z

Really cool entry! Models are nice and I absolutely loved how you made main menu with blurred warehouse in the background with passing forklifts, it looks really cool! The gameplay is fun. I only wish that you somehow show all start and end points at the beginning of the level, so the level could be played more strategically from the beginning.

Fun fact: dead bodies are not cleared when you restart, so this happened when I got afk for a couple of minutes: 001.png

Cluster by Ignacio Zamorano 2018-08-17T07:49:24Z

That is the most graphically polished game I've seen in ludum dare! Those character design, animation, logo and creepy dude in the background are awesome, just jaw dropping visual quality. The music is really cool too.

But the gameplay is a bit confusing. My first thought was that I lose space when files touch my character (he is a hard drive after all). So my first instinct was to punch files away from me. I punched some files inside folder and they happen to dissappear just as they were inside, so I thought that the goal was to place files inside folders.

After reading description one more time I've found a sentence where it is stated that I have to defend folders, but it would be much more clear if you have this fact in picture tutorial form, since you have all other information in pictures. They attracted my attention and I completelly missed text about folders.

Really cool entry overall, exceptional job!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck In Paris by CocaPasteque 2020-10-10T15:02:44Z

Your visuals are on point! Great game overall, but controlls feel a bit odd.

4Loops by Decipator 2020-10-10T16:26:56Z

You managed to cramp a lot of gameplay into jam game, it is very impressive! I really liked this game, but some of your zoomed camera's near clip plane are too far.

Stuck in a drum loop by rodobodolfo 2020-10-10T15:25:44Z

Nice concept! The game gets hard really fast, but the idea is really neat. I guess, if you make gaps in the beat bigger, it would be much better.

BLOBIUS by chaoclypse 2020-10-06T09:42:51Z

Graphics and audio are on point! Very cool death shader. You actually polished the game really well and it leaves nice overall impression. Really cool game, especially for compo!

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-10T15:42:03Z

Thats just my personal favourite from this jam! You took a really simple idea without ton of features and polished it to perfection! That's exactly what jam games should be! Also music and camera movement reminds me of the game Thrumper, I wonder if it was intentional.

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-10T15:58:55Z

@r3l0ad1 Well, you nailed it then :)

Emile's Journey by qui 2020-10-10T13:33:55Z

Really nice graphics and sound! It creates very good mood for this game. At first I was not sure what I need to do, I even thought that light staying on after changing scenes is a bug. But overall - very good game!

Red Snow: The Thirteen Dwarves by undefinist 2020-10-06T19:57:11Z

Liked it a lot! As others said, it is very easy to go to the left or to the right at the beginning. At first I went right and up, and met nothing untill the game said that I won. It was confusing and for the second I thought that this is it. Fortunatelly I read comments here and tried one more time, the actual game is really fun! I think you should create another build with walls at the beginning. Rules allow to fix game breaking bugs after jam end and I think this is it.

Defuse in under 5 by Darylsteak 2020-10-06T09:49:55Z

Wow, very nice! Art, music and sounds are all solid, the game is very polished, I really enjoyed it! But, you have very long seconds, my friend

Purifier by Extrone 2020-10-10T15:52:21Z

Nice game! Realy liked neat graphics and you even managed to add menu with settings! Good job, liked it a lot

Hyper Racer by X_Pilot 2020-10-06T20:10:22Z

Thats a 5 stars in graphics if you ask me! This looks amazing! And your music is really good for guys, who are not musicians. There is one track with very loud low frequences though

Time Loop by _Kassjak_ 2020-10-10T15:56:43Z

Very neat graphics and audio! Your style is on point. Really liked jump mechanics, it just feels good. The only problem - projectiles are a bit hard to spot. Maybe you should have added white outline to them. Overall really solid entry!

Time Wizards by Sininenblue 2020-10-10T13:44:15Z

Nice graphics, controlls and game mechanics are very good too. But the level with 2 archers is very difficult for me

AUTOLOOP by Kpedatte 2020-10-10T15:31:04Z

Very cool visual style, but gameplay needed polishing. Controlls feel weird, especially hodling up arrow and down arrow at the same time. Maybe it will be better to add autorun and just restart level at the collision, because stopping feels very weird. Overall I liked this game a lot, especially visual style. Good job!

Cellar's Nocturne by Dane Tesla 2020-10-10T15:14:42Z

That game is awesome! Photos, art and music are all on point! I enjoyed it very much! Very scary though :( Looks like you are not rating other games and your game is not receiving attention it can. You should rate other people's games and leave feedback and then your game will be shown to more people.

Boris the Bear Hunter by ForgeronStudio 2020-10-10T15:22:46Z

Very fun game, I liked it a lot! Мне понравилось, привет из Москвы

The Ages Among Worlds by Victor Vk 2020-10-06T06:38:58Z

Hey! Nice models for 16 hours! Especially considereing you also created some code in this time. I see you made really nice picture for your post, but the game itself looks a bit worse. Here is my screenshot: screen1.png I just wanted to give your some really simple tips to improve your graphics in a copple of minutes: * Add some ambient lighting to make shadows on trees less black * Decrease main light intensity (grass and rocks are far too bright) * Add post processing (google Post Processing Stack v2). Add some ambient occlusion and fog, it will make picture a lot pretier! * Make lava material emissive and add Bloom postprocessing

Models and movement are very good for a first time! Next time think about what to shoot and you have a solid game

Dental Recviem | That's Always Happening by Usenrame 2020-10-10T13:38:29Z

This is 5/5 theme rating from me! I especially liked how the guy walked through glass at the beginning

INSIDE THE LOOP by aerloth 2020-10-06T19:43:58Z

Just wow! Very cool idea, awesome graphics style and sound design is on point too! Controls and camera are a bit confusing, I often didn't knew what button to press for character to go where I wanted them to go. But overall I really liked the idea and aestetics!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Fish Master by Pheonise 2018-04-23T12:29:44Z

Music is extra cool. Really silly mix of genres, you got me hooked (he-he). Very funny concept, liked it a lot.

Astral Fantasy by PowerSpark 2018-04-23T12:40:35Z

This genre mix is suprisingly good. This game has really nice graphics and sound effects are on point. The physics is pretty good and this game actually plays good. I enjoyed it. One thing that I did't liked is that camera do not follow you character. At first I thought that game bugged when I leaved the screen space.

Zig-Pong by BathPirate 2018-05-11T13:44:23Z

Really neat game, simple but addictive! And I also liked your visual style.

P.S. I can't stop. I got to 1:12 and I will probably play it for another hour...

Dance Duel Cowboy! by Quaternius 2018-04-23T05:13:14Z

Absolutelly brilliant graphics, animation and music! Controls feel a little bit strange in second level but I think it's because it has smaller time margin for each button press. d64038e60a41fcd5631fa2d0d8241246.png 087b7b63f07d2d44d39bf396218f9ed0.png

Bunny Derps by mintarcade 2018-04-24T19:44:34Z

Nice one! I made an fps-farm too so I immediately clicked your game when I saw screenshots. I liked visual style but the game is very confusing at first. I was running in circles and was wondering why my gun is not working.

Btw, collecting apples gave me carrots, was it intended? :D

Jump N' Shoot Man Ludum Dare 41 by jessefreeman 2018-04-25T19:48:32Z

If I understood correctly, you are the author of this 8-bit engine in which you made your game. If that's the case, it is extra cool and I am very impressed. The visuals in your game are very nice, I liked it a lot. But actual gameplay feels a little bit boring and as another people mentioned, your player dies on edges.

BREAK // HELL by Incredible Ape 2018-05-01T14:08:46Z

Really nice game! Visuals and music are cool, but the best thing in this game is concept. That is incredibly awesome idea that you are dodging your own bullets, I loved it!

Delve by riordan 2018-04-24T19:05:12Z

Well, at first, you have really cool graphics and nice controls.

And now for the bad part. This game is really confusing at first. I almost gave up but then I reread your description and decided to give it another chance. You should have added some kind of small tutorial to the game. After some time I thought that I understood how to play it but then player dies of unknown cause (all stats were at least at 20).

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-23T19:47:23Z

@gonutz I added x86 executable to itch.io page try it now

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-24T04:31:48Z

@ben-pearson It is pure joy to watch other people play you game, thanks for playing! Yeah, the game turned out more boring than I wanted it to. It was intended to have a lot of manual interaction in the beginning but later in game it should be more automated. I just hadn't enough time to implement all content I planned, so I tried to made some kind of progression with things I got. Actually, behind second unlockable fence there was another type of plant, which is much easier to deal with.

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-24T09:32:37Z

@Steffo Thanks for you feedback! Yeah some part of inspiration came from Slime Rancher, but I played it several months ago and I do not remember fruit shapes, so this is coinsidence actually. Thanks for the idea, is is quite reasonable. I had some plans for enemies, I just didn't had enough time. As it turns out, your resources are very limited when you are trying to make a polished game in just two days by one person.

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-25T04:36:28Z

@mic-matrix91 Thanks! I had some ideas for item magnet or something similar, but i had no time to implement it.

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-04-27T07:31:12Z

@saoi-games thanks for playing! Yes you are right, I have some things to improve. Originally I wanted to make some kind of magnet to pick up all items around you but I had no time left for this. I wish I made this feature because a lot of people are getting bored in the very beginning and are not progressing far enough to see all features in my game... For example, you missed another plant type and another gun that were placed in later locations.

Farm of Duty by Jima 2018-05-10T11:29:37Z

@Satanos Thanks for playing and posting link to the video! It is always really cool to see other people play your game. I watched this video with automatically generated subtitles that were translated to English and I believe I understood almost everything. You are right, the game turned out quite tedious but it looks like you played a game for a while and I appreciate it!

@firesplash-entertainment Yeah that is insane that we came up with almost the same ideas! You are right, we both had some issues but I believe we also got a lot of experience so our next games will be a lot better. Thanks for playing!

Play To Survive by Ajay.2002 2018-04-23T05:36:26Z

Wow! You have done a lot of work! And considering that all three of you are 15 year old, that's awesome result.

There are two things I don't actually liked: controls and lack of sound effects. Controls feel really weird. You should have made player always walk to the top of the screen when W is pressed and so on. Relative controls feel weird in this type of game. And as for sounds, try using one of free packs next time and you game would be much more enjoyable.

Now for the good part: The games looks really good, graphics are simple but overall style is on point. Music is cool, it is not very annoying and feels good. Mood is absolutely fantastic. I can clearly see myself playing game like this when it is finished.

Well, the visuals are really good, but I had some problems playing your game. All enemies move very unpredictable and your own movement is pretty slow, so it is frustratingly hard to shoot things (at least at start). I didn't understand how towers are placed, sometimes they move when I plant a new watermelon and sometimes the do not move. It is very confusing. And I don't exactly understand which genres you mixed. Overall it is a really good start, but it requires some work to make it more enjoyable.

A Fistful of Shrooms by gdort 2018-04-23T12:14:42Z

Whole style is really cool, music is absolutelly fantastic. Gameplay is pretty good, but lack of manual reload is frustrating. I had to empty my gun between the waves to reload it.

Beet Running by BlackAtlas 2018-04-23T12:23:49Z

Overall graphics is very nice. You have very good plant animations and those dust effects. I've made a farming game this jam too and it's a shame I didn't came up with similar dance-like animation for plants.

Sound effects are really good, game actually feel scary. I can't shout much in my office so I was not able to finish the game but I liked it. You have really cool shader on environment, this combination of shadows + chromatic aberration and something else. I really liked visuals.

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-05-01T14:04:36Z

Man! That's a fantastic game! It looks like finished product, I am not even joking. Like seriously, add more levels, make first levels a bit shorter and sell it through steam. Absolutely stunning level of production, I was not ready for this. Definitely most fun game I played this jam!

Cooking Fantasy VI by Loowees 2018-04-25T19:34:00Z

Well, I don't like time pressing games that much, because of how stressing they are. But I appreciated all effort you put in this game. Visuals are awesome and it looks like you implemented actually quite a lot, take for example all that actions with respective icons for each food. And all those crazy orders like "Seasoned boiled butter" are hilarious!

Dancemazing by MariosManiatis 2018-04-24T04:41:33Z

I actually liked graphics a lot, it has some Witness vibes and this is amazing. But I think you should have made some kind of darker environment for the horror game. Perhaps same location but at night would be truly terrifying!

Date Night Fight Night by Ivars Bergs 2018-05-01T13:48:30Z

That's absolutely hilarious :D! It is a bit hard to play multiplayer games solo, but I can see how fun this game will be with actual two players. Man I love audio effects and how silly that blood looks when you poke each other with fork. Amazing work.

Hit the Green! by Azathothep 2018-05-01T14:29:59Z

The physics feel a bit weird, it feels like each shot applies random force to the ball. Sometimes it travel like one foot away and sometimes it just flies across half of the map. And after ball lands it sometimes stops immediately without rolling which looks wrong. The game is pretty fun actually and it would be really good if not those physics bugs. Graphics are okay and the music is good, I definitely enjoyed it.

Unojo temple by Korteh 2018-05-01T13:31:43Z

Nice game! Visuals are super awesome. Gameplay gets a bit boring after a while, perhaps you should have made boss less powerful so the game would be shorter. This game totally lacks some tutorial or tips though. I completely forgot that I read about jumping in game description and I was wondering why I am dying from that red line that I can not evade. Later, when I remembered about jumping I spent 5 more minutes not knowing that you have to kill boss. But overall it is a pretty fun game, certainly an impressive one for such small time!

Rainy Day by WFMG 2018-04-24T05:22:41Z

This explosion looks more like my dude shot himself after loosing.

@bitjester-media said that the controls are lagging but they are actually not. The ball just moves only when you move you mouse, much like in Super Hot. You should put this bit in the description as it is very confusing at first. This controls are a bit strange but you get used to it pretty quickly. This game is quite hard, but I enjoyed it. And the ending is quite peaceful. I don't know about "Passive" genre, it feels just like labyrinth game for me too. But overall this is a solid entry, nice work!

And there is one frustrating bug: when the ball is near the edge and you move your mouse really fast, it falls through the board and you lose.

Rainy Day by WFMG 2018-04-24T07:27:53Z

@WFMG try to enable continuous collision detection for the ball, maybe it will fix if falling through the board.

Rainy Day by WFMG 2018-04-24T12:06:06Z

@WFMG Yeah you can post bugfixes if you decide that this bug is critical to your game. And I think it is, because I lost two times because of it and had frustrating experience.

Flower Hero by Curt 2018-04-24T18:12:26Z

Visuals are super cool, I loved those flower animations. Ingame music tracks are okay, but menu music is extra cool! The mood of this game is absolutely fantastic. But I found gameplay not so good. I was always frustrated because i haven't got correct cards and my performance was bound to random generator

BIRKANOID by MateCziner 2018-04-24T18:19:42Z

I loved this visual style and animations are really cool. It's a shame it don't have sound effects.

Corn Wars LD (Farming-Shooter) by Firesplash Entertainment 2018-04-28T13:30:45Z

Wow! I have not played your game yet but is looks very similar to my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/farm-of-duty

A journey of the block by TomekS 2018-04-23T20:38:58Z

Wow! That graphics! That animation! That LEAVES ANIMATION! I absolutely loved it! The only problem I see is that it is frustrating to wait for matching colors at all this block spawners. At first haven't noticed that color must match. I tried to attach blocks of wrong color and for a moment I thought that the game is broken because blocks were not attaching.

Farm in 60 seconds by ProfessorRekyl 2018-04-25T05:06:51Z

Ha ha nice game! A loved the fact that you made trees physical objects. I spent a lot of time in second level just running into trees, haystacks and cows. And I enjoyed it!

Crazy Race by Joton Ferreira 2018-04-23T20:21:15Z

Well, that is really interesting mix of genres. I did enjoyed it in first minutes, but it gets repetitive pretty quickly.

And I find it a bit unfair that your opponents can pass through obstacles.

Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough by Lost Dutchman Software 2018-04-24T04:59:40Z

Really silly combination and the music makes it! But as for gameplay, I got bored pretty quickly. The map is huge. I played it for like 5 minutes and didn't make it near the hole. I even don't know where the hole is, my ball just rolled down to the map edge and I didn't know what to do. It would be MUCH better if you made a sequence of smaller levels. And you should definetelly fix flying cactuses.

Dog Petter by Raphiell 2018-04-24T05:08:15Z

Ha-ha I loved it! Bark sounds are on point and fetch actually fetches you cards! I have seen you posts during weekend and you graphics evolved from shherical beast to this beautiful good boy pretty nicely! Good game!

Him & I by Aaronacus 2018-04-24T19:30:03Z

Well I don't know what to say...

The art is really cool, I liked it a lot.

The game is quite short and there is not much you can do in it so this is a minus. I also don't understand which two genres you were mixing, for me it looks like some kind of adventure game. And the most strange thing for me is the fact that you created a game about clearly unhappy couple where a man is a murderer and called it a "game about gender violence" which, I guess, means that men are bad. I tried to enjoy your game, I really did, but I just din't know how to react to this message. I think better description would be "game about domestic violence".

text adventure platformer by Rs11s21n 2018-04-23T05:00:10Z

Really nice stylized graphics. Of course the "game" is not finished. The only thing you can do is move. But still I like that you published it, with each try you become better game developer. Hope you will make finished game next time. Удачи!

Infinite Checkers by blake.s 2018-04-25T05:17:44Z

Really cool idea! I actually enjoyed your game and played it multiple times just to get better score.

And for some improvements: 1. Controls are a bit strange, i would prefer using left and right arrow keys to move. 2. Sometimes spinning checker spawns on top of normal one. 3. You should have painted normal checker to some kind of green color and spinning one to red color to make it clear that you should not pick up spinning ones. Player figures it out pretty fast, but with this colors it would be less confusing in first run.

Gardening Sim 2019 by shp 2018-04-23T20:14:13Z

Visuals are awesome and sounds are pretty good. I really liked this old games vibe like first silent hill or something similar. And the fact that you made it with quake engine is pretty neat.

But to the most constructive part. Shooting controls are not very convenient. You get used to them in first 5 minutes but it is still a bit frustrating. Levels at some point became really big and pretty empty and it is a bit boring to run all the way back to collect a pistol or medkit.

I actually completed half of the game when I realized that I have multiple inventory slots! To this point I was only using the first one. I think you should write something about slots in description.
