Seriously amazing! Such a unique idea. The controls feel a bit tricky and gravity seems to fluctuate when running up certain types of walls. But other than that, it's absolutely fantastic!

Really well done on this one! It's super-atmospheric and pretty to boot! Unfortunately I got stuck a little bit into the game, but I loved what I did get to play! Incredible work for a game jam!
Hey guys thanks a lot for your comments ! Itβs so rewarding to know that somewhere in the planet someone is playing your little jam game !
@halfboltgames I go try your game it looks super interesting! @tad where did you get stuck ? Would be cool to know :-)
Thanks !
Just wow! Very cool idea, awesome graphics style and sound design is on point too! Controls and camera are a bit confusing, I often didn't knew what button to press for character to go where I wanted them to go. But overall I really liked the idea and aestetics!
Genuinely incredible. The game was tough and disorienting but not in an overwhelming way (in fact I thought it was quite positive). The puzzles were finicky in places and I did feel like I wrestled with the controls a little, but for a jam game with these mechanics honestly I couldn't fault them. The audio deserves special mention, I loved the way you played with stereo and the music was tonally excellent. Outstanding.
Very cool! Great idea executed well. Nice visual aesthetic, and the sound design is really good, too. I definitely feel the Inside vibes, especially when that big door moves out of the way to let you out of the dark cylinder. And using the sound as a cue for the timed rotation part is just good design. There was an impressive amount of content, too. I like the hinged flaps that act as one-way entries -- it's a great little solution to a level design problem that feels very natural, given the physics. With the game as polished as it is, any extra feedback I have is bound to be nitpicky.
I think the first stage might be too open as a starting level -- that one seems like it's the easiest to get lost in, especially when you don't yet have a grasp of what's going on. In my opinion, the more linear levels are a better place to get acquainted with the game mechanic. And then the big level feels like it has potential as a big navigational puzzle when the player is more comfortable.
It's not immediately obvious what the light orbs are about -- it's clear that walking into them does something, but maybe a stronger visual connection to the door could hammer home the idea that you need to find and collect them all.
I did find that the timed platforming in the "library" section was a little tough, due to the character sliding off of the platforms after the rotation. In particular, it happened near the end of the section, when the player was upside down -- and because of the perspective, it was tough to intuitively move the character back onto the platform before they fell off.
Overall, really good. One of the best I've seen yet. Great job!
It seems to look like a flashback to Interstellar, it's a little bit scary to find yourself in such a situation, that's why it is very interesting to try it. love arts and music and of course the whole idea, wow! great job, guys!
Love the mood and aesthetic, the visuals and especially the audio being synched with the levels really elevated those aspects. However, I can't help but mention that the controls feel unnatural and clunky at times, especially when navigating anything other than a box. I do see how designing a good movement system for this kind of space would be difficult though.
Good job overall.
The mood, audio design, and aesthetic are really great! I struggled a bit with the controls and timing for the puzzles. It was nice to be able to skip levels if I got really stuck or frustrated.
Awesome idea and execution, the game is really trippie and the great sound and level design just adds to it. Very cool game
Great premise and perfect interpretation for the theme, I loved it! I was really impressed with the level design, and even more so with the fact that some levels featured different mechanics the subverted expectations. Greatly enjoyed it, even during the parts where I got stuck π
The controls felt kinda weird sometimes, but that didn't stop me from enjoying your game :)
Great game! I played it to the end. The graphics are great, and I really liked the puzzles! It took me a while to figure out the extremely simple solution that was right before my eyes on what I think was the second, maybe first level? Anyways, yeah, really liked them! They were challenging, and very creative! The audio was also pretty awesome. Overall, great game. Well done!
Love this! Really well executed. I particularly liked the sections where carefully timing the jumps with the rotation was required. I had some difficulty getting used to A/D being clockwise/counterclockwise instead of moving me left/right relative to my camera, but the design of the game pretty much meant that I never had to quickly figure it out until I was more used to it. It looked and sounded awesome, and the game was well designed. Great work.
Very good ambient game. The camera movement is surprising at first, but then make sense when we have to move in lot of different directions (just minor problem : sometimes, the view is a bit shifted). Congratulatioon for the audio work. The sound is very fantastic and add layers to this unreal universe. I like the fact that we cannot die and we have to manage our path in this upside down loop, but it's very hard to move and go on a ground. I was stuck in the part where there's the ping-pong ball sound. Perhaps with some improvement on how the physic is working (with the gravity) it would be more clear. I Couldn't finish the game, but I saw enough to say it's a very good entry.
I got stuck (in a loop, he-he) pretty quickly, but I loved it overall! Great concept, great graphics and physics!
This is really cool! The aesthetic is beautiful, for sure the best looking game I have played this jam. The whole gravity changing thing is incredibly hard to get right, and to be honest, felt a little strange at times. Saying that, you got it very very close to perfect, and I really enjoyed the game. Great job!
This was cool and reminded me of the purple coin levels from Mario galaxy. I would have liked something to collect or other marker to help me figure out where to go since once I got to the larger room as I got stuck and was unsure how to progress. The animations and IK were really nice and over all it felt good although perhaps could have benefited a bit from a hidden layer of collision meshes to smooth out some of the sharper corners and areas the character interacted weirdly. Over all a really good entry though
This is, incredible. One of the best jam games I've played so far, really :o
The concept, the gravity is stuck in a loop or going in circle, is really cool, really nice creative use of the theme here.
The game is so polished, this is really impressive, such physics are not easy to make in such a short time, really well done! I'm also impressed by the animations, they are really smooth, transition well and are well aware of the game's shifting grounds for the legs, congrats for this!
I like how it starts without a menu and the infos are written in the game's space!
I did not witness collisions problems or bugs, really great, and I love the game's graphics style, really clean and professionnal, definitely works with the Inside vibe you talked about, congrats!
I enjoyed it a lot, the audio is great, the mood is incredible one of my favourites!
Great Game, I like how you implemented the theme.
Impressive! Really cool mood, the art really get me, and the puzzles and scenes are very interesting. Well done!
Hi, congratulations for your game! Is is very well made and it is certainly challenging. It is disorienting, but this is the intention. I would improve the handholding and include a tutorial for the post-jam version. Best regards!
Man, what a great game! Loved the atmosphere and the physics. Definitely a game worth working on in the future! Loved the joints ant the behavior of the lamps. Though some levels were quite difficult (I have to confess, I did use the "skip level"-button :hear_no_evil: The end-screen really was a awesome piece of art on it's own, really great job of every team member!
This is great idea! The controls sometimes confused me, not sure why though. During the first or second level a bookcase was obstructing my view, but I zoomed out and managed to get to the end. I loved the last bookcase level, it was pretty hard, but tapped the true potential of this concept! Maybe the controls confusion was caused by the camera position, or maybe the controls just bugged out. Have you thought about fixing camera to player or to gravity or have you tried that?
Awesome game, great artstyle, subtle moody audio direction, very interesting concept with great potential! Congratulations!
I love that concept! The camera movement made me a little sick tho lol, I really liked the mood and how you put the levels together in such an eerie way! Movement felt quite responsive although it would be nice to have the controls change to better suit the orientation of the camera.
Such a cool and unique concept and take on the theme! The music and graphics were stellar and I love the atmosphere so much!
super trippy and a never ending falling ping pong sound 10 outta 10, nice job!
Amazing, 5/5. Beautiful graphics, simple controls, original idea, nice transitions between levels, etc!
Wonderful job! Really reminded me of "Inside" in terms of gameplay and mood, and that's a good thing! Audio was fantastic and the idea was well utilized in multiple levels. The ping pong ball was definitely the highlight xD I was a big fan of all the physics props, doors and lights you had to show the gravity movement. The game was a bit disorientating at times and it made the character a little unpredictable, but that's nothing some checkpoints can't soften. Good job!
Love this! Felt ambitious yet simple - and tasteful, spot-on sound design too. As a minor thing I also appreciated the 'quality' settings. Great work, going to look for more of your stuff!
The best game I played in this jam!
That was really good! The audio did a really good job of setting the mood, and it feels so satisfying to jump off one platform and land perfectly on the other at a different 90-degrees angle. Felt much less satisfying to fumble the platform and go falling down into the edge-of-level cylinder, but oh well :P
There's some very clever level design in here as well - on the level with the four discrete gravity-directions, it turns out there are a lot more sneaky ways to get back on the main path than I first thought. All in all - thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Quite challenging! Really nice entry
The abstract/dreamy/psychedelic vibe (the dancing lamps, the swinging doors, and of course, the rotating tunnel) made me enjoy this atmospheric *more* than with the original game "Inside". At least, with "Inside The Loop", the tone is set from the start, and it's very cool : it's a psychedelic trip, so no concrete story is needed/wanted.
The music is more than good: your atmospheric soundscape is almost perfect ; maybe some subtle footstep sounds would have added to the feeling of isolation?
On the gameplay side: this game suffers from "accidental hardness", as it's very hard to tell where the character feet are located depth-wise, especially when you're in the middle of a jump. This is a direct and non-surprising consequence of the orientation of the camera (especially when it's located so far behind!), but it could certainly be worked around, maybe by adding an artificial "shadow" decal below the character?
Anyway, thanks for making this game, this is some great work!
Nice surreal atmosphere and audio!.Player control it is sometimes a little bit unstable. I love the intro menu idea and of course it fits the theme! 3D art is attractive and well done... Congrats!l.png
Great game! So glad that I had the time to play it before results. I love the music, the art style and the atmosphere! Overall, just great
Well done. Impressive work - especially on the aesthetic. This is one of those projects which want to give us some gameplay more focused on the contemplation than puzzles. Controls are a little bit too weird, but I assume that it's because of gravity modification. Sometimes I don't know what I am supposed to do in order to progress. However, it's a clever game with a pretty quiet mood. It ran correctly as a WebGL portage - with some lags but it's not really frustrating. I guess that you could improve it with more features, but at this stage, what you did in less than 72 hours, it's just impressive. Thank you ++
What an awesome idea! I agree with an earlier comment that the controls are a little hard and some sort of shadow decal would help me land more of the jumps, but the design of the levels was very clever - particularly liked the way you broke the cylinder into segments and had the "scoop" to pick the character back up onto the platforms
This is a great idea with really good execution. This is definitely one of the more polished entries, and I had fun with it. The only criticism I have is that the character controller was awkward and made the game more difficult than it maybe should've been. Switching directions causes the player to move slightly forwards/backwards as they turn around, which is a bit disorienting in a game where the direction you're moving is constantly changing. Plus, it's not always clear which direction the player is going to walk when you press A or D.
Overall though, excellent work!
I thought it's a very interesting concept that fits the theme well, excellent work! I didn't manage to get to the very end, but I think I got quite close. Liked the pingpong ball sfx idea as well. Very beautiful aesthetics!
Amazing game ! The graphics, the audio, the concept, everything is on point ! The controls could have been more intuitive, but it works already pretty well :)
Holy... The sound design is so great. The game is almost perfect. Only the movement feels kinda wonky, since walking up walls and changing position feels like the character is struggling
This was an awesome game. Really innovative take on the theme and a nice mechanic. Good job easing the play into the wierd world too. Controls were beautifully awkward and the mood very nice. I think the low poly graphics could have used a bit more polish, but overall this was a great entry. Well done!
I really enjoyed it although I never quite managed to understand my controls. If I wait, I can stand on the ceiling but if I go sideways I fall down.
I'm guessing the disorientation is intentional, and for that I shall say you succeeded!
Really interesting and well made game!
That was so much fun. Game looks beautiful, so trippy as well. I really enjoyed it all, well done
This is incredibly cool. Sounds great, looks fantastic, and the mechanic and the whole atmosphere is amazing. Just wish it were easier to control! π Very nice work!
