This game is Awesome, it's so much fun to play. The mechanics and the idea of the game is really creative.

This game is Awesome, it's so much fun to play. The mechanics and the idea of the game is really creative.
Everyone's saying the jump is weird, so I am not repeating that,:grin: The pixel art is top notch, I like the audio, it was a really cool experience. I really like it.
This is the craziest game in LD-42, love it. Some random bugs here and there sometimes, but it doesn't really affects the game, Overall, I really like it
@nam-nguyen Thanks for the great feedback man, really appreciate that, I made this game while there was only 20 hours left for the jam since my first game wouldn't package because of a plugin I used ( my bad I should have checked ). That's why I couldn't add any more it :sweat_smile:
@edgelord Sorry man, I didn't had the time to make it available for other platforms.
@edgelord unfortunately no, The whole project files are messed up right now, it keeps crashing.
@yohann-geoffroy thanks, yeah the camera is a bit too shaky and the whole camera system is weird. I will make it good in the next LD :sweat_smile: ( I messed up the project files of this game )
@edgelord I am really sorry man, I can't even open the project, it just crashes :(
@edgelord It's not that great of game to try it out in a VM :sweat_smile:
@djibess Thanks for the feedback :smiley:. I tried my best to reduce the size but I couldn't compress it more :( but hey thanks for playing, And yes I am gonna check your game out :smile:. Oh and I am gonna crush it in the next LD.
@edgelord Thanks
@mza Thanks for the feedback :smiley:, The camera issue, I tried to fix it but was a failure, hopefully I can tackle it in the next One :sweat_smile:
@dragongino Thansk for the feedback, Actually my first intention was to make it endless, but couldn’t because of time constraints. I am really happy that you liked it 😀
@hugo-kieffer Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it :smile:
This game is put together really well, it's highly polished, the effects are really amazing. The environment really has life to it with the grass interaction. well, explained tutorials, nice abilities. the only thing i wish wasn't there was the delay when you use the Terra-former. Other than that it was a great experience.
Nice Gravity effect, nice explosion effects, nice firing sounds, Nice Music, A little hard, but I am sure it can be easy as you play more. I really like it, Good Job.
Overall a really good and fun game, Good job Also I was able to buy an upgrade worth 9 health even though I only had 6 Health.
@camcam I think it was the weapon range, I had 6 health, the upgrade costed 9. but the button was active unlike the other two buttons which were faded. After purchasing the update my health became 0 and was not able to move. Hope that helps :smile:
That was a lot fun to play, the animations were really cool :smile: Good Job
That was definitely a super fun game, really well polished, too polished for a game jam :sweat_smile: I am just salty :grin:. The only thing I would suggest is to make the mouse cursor/pointer a bit clear/different than the environment, it was hard to keep track of it. Other than that this is the best game I played this LD so far :slight_smile:
A really nice concept implemented really well for a game jam. Good job :slight_smile:
Never seen a game like this before, great job on the tutorial and animations and stuff. - The controls was a bit weird but enjoyable - also, when all the crows died nothing happend, you could just simply restart the game to keep people playing instead of closing the game.
Overall good job :smile:
@ursagames, No problem that you played it without me in the stream, because you did everything I wanted you to do with the game. I am so happy that you took your time to upgrade both weapons to max :grin:. Thanks for playing it and giving awesome feedback :smile:
it's a really cool concept but really hard to attack the enemy since, - you can't cancel your attack - you can't change your attack direction
That was a fun,ny game :joy:
That was a really fun and challenging game, it was a complete and polished package, good job :smile: Also loved the sound effects and the screen shakes and stuff
@artyom-volkov Thanks for the feedback, there was supposed to be a tutorial at the start to introduce you to the upgrades, but had to cut that down because of time constraints :sweat_smile:. Glad you liked the game :smile:
Thanks for the feedback @adamcyounis . Happy to hear you like it :smile:. The gameplay is lacking because I focused more on the UI, and kinda spend 2 days on it :sweat_smile:. I don't have any plans to continue development right now, have so many other projects to take care of :tired_face: :sweat_smile:
@j0ye Thanks, Glad to hear you loved it :smiley:
Really nice game, loved the sound effects and graphics, a bit hard at the start though :sweat_smile:
That was a fun, different and confusing at start game. By confusing I mean, I knew that I had to drag the specific dices shown on the door to open the door (start the game). but it was not working. Later I figured out, I had to drag it a bit above the door to start the game. So that was a bit frustrating to figure out :sweat_smile: . But after the game started it was really fun to play. It got nice art style and the game feels grounded with a good gameplay loop. Overall it was a nice game :smile:.
Yay, another unreal game, always happy to see more games made in UE4. Also, I see you forgot to turn off the debug for the sphere trace used for the pickup :grin:.
It was a really well made game. The in-game tutorial was really nice. love the level design and the shooting thingies. Sounds FX would've made it so much better, but hey it's a compo game, who's got time for sound FX.
Just a Tip if you don't mind :
The movement was good, but jump felt a little floaty. By default Unreal's gravity is set to real world gravity, but it's not that great for arcade style games like these. Doubling the gravity would help the jump feel more controllable and snappy, but this will reduce the jump height, so you would have to double that too. player Gravity and MaxJumpHeight can be adjusted in the Character Movement component in the player pawn if you used that. I have gravity set to 3 times the default value in my game.
Overall it was a really fun and well made game, Great Job :smile:
That was a really cool game. needs some balancing because it was really hard :sweat_smile:. Thanks for sharing the game's link.
@mikydev Thanks :smile:
@artyom-volkov Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I was not too sure on which direction I wanted to go with the UI/UX. Which made it a weird mix of stuff. And yes the level is pretty bland. And that also affects the AI. The AI has the ability to search for and find you, but because of the level design it's not represented very well.
Thanks again for playing and for providing feedback :smile:
@murrzipan Thanks, Glad you liked it :smile:. Yeah it has lot of potential.
@brenan Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it :smiley:
@despdair I'm not sure why the link is not working. Is this the link you used : https://extrone.itch.io/power-slime-shootout
@erebus Thanks for the amazing feedback :smile:
@krassenstein Thank you for playing it, glad you like it :smile: . Also thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna add that in the post jam version (If I can :sweat_smile: ).
@fedora haha :smiley:, glad you liked it. I would say with how hard it is, 10th is really good lol.The exit button thing was just for fun :smile:
@jake-marks Thanks for playing it on the stream and thanks for the awesome feedback :smile:
@convg I'm really glad you enjoyed it, Thanks for playing :smile:
@banzi Thanks for playing :smiley:. Yeah, I made the enemies too accurate, should've made them miss more shots. Glad you loved the UI, it was fully made during the Jam. The music on the table was a last minute decision, really happy it paid off. Thanks again for playing and for the feedback :smile:.
@robowarrior1982 Thanks for playing and for the feedback :smile:. Yeah the gameplay was a bit repetitive. I was planning to focus on gameplay but got sidetracked into making the UI :sweat_smile:
@amazura :smile: Thanks. Really glad you loved the graphics :smiley:.
The leaderboard is supposed to show the top 20 scores, but The scroll box was inside an overlay panel and for some reason that disabled the scrolling. I only noticed that today :sweat_smile:.
Thanks for playing it :smile:
@room606 Thanks :smile:. Yeah the enemies were dumb and accurate :sweat_smile:. No, they don't try to collect batteries.
Multiplayer is an unfamiliar territory to me, but I would like to get into it soon. It would be really fun in this game. The leaderbaord is inside a scroll box, so it's supposed to scroll down. But I think I messed that up somewhere.
Thanks for playing it and for giving feedback :smile:
@fatsheep Thanks for playing it on stream :smile:
@23edsa Glad you like it, Thanks for playing it on stream :smile:
@jacksendary Thanks :smiley:
@ausstein Wait, did you actually get 975 :astonished:. I was seriously not expecting that :smile:
@convg @ausstein I didn't even expect anyone to keep playing my game after the initial play-through :sweat_smile:
Congratulations @ausstein for getting the top rank.
and Congratulations @convg for getting the seconds place.
and here is the leaderboard with the updated UI Annotation 2020-05-09 190233.png
@convg @ausstein I'm planning to make it a full game, but sadly it's not gonna be a thing anytime soon because of other projects. I already made many improvements to the current level like adding more cover and adjusting enemy spawn location. Gonna add more maps and power-ups soon, kinda have a power-up system already setup from some other projects. Multiplayer would be really cool too.
Also improved the AI a lot. @ausstein you can no longer stay in that corner and keep shooting them, they'll come searching for you :grin:. but they are not as accurate as before when you're far to medium range.
@convg yeah that's a really cool movement trick, you can also use it to propel yourself up to get on top of the things in the level.
Will post here when the update arrives.
And thanks for the feedback and support :smile:
Thanks. Really glad y'all liked it :smile: @velvetlobster @sandra-martinez
@gameovermexico Thanks, glad you loved it :smile:
@lazzydev72 Thanks :smile:
@lazzydev72 Wait, did you play the game?
@lazzydev72 @gameovermexico What names did y'all use in the game? I just want to check your scores
@jk5000 Yeah, the enemies are pretty unbalanced, I made them too accurate :sweat_smile:.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback :smile:
@fabula-rasa Hey, you're 14/36 in the leaderboard. You're not bad at the game :smile:.
I think that bug is caused because sometimes they spawn inside the cardboard boxes, but new enemies won't spawn unless you eliminate the one inside the box. I am implementing an new spawn system, hopefully this should be fixed :sweat_smile:
Picking up batteries is where I messed up communicating to the player. Here's how it works :
You can aim at the battery (from a moderate distance) and when the charge level of the battery pops up, you need to press E, it's helpful when your charge is low and you don't have batteries nearby. But I failed at communicating this to the player. Simply adding the Key (used to pickup the batteries) to the charge level popup would've made it clear how to pick them up.
Thanks for playing it and for the feedback, really glad you loved the little details and the effects :smile:
@nurk Thanks, glad you loved it :smile:
That was a really cool game. A bit hard but I really liked, love the art style and sounds. Thanks for sharing the game's link with me.
This was really well made game. Really had fun playing it. I wish there was more waves so I could upgrade my gun to it's max. Really enjoyed playing it, Thanks for sharing the game's link.
haha, that was a really cool and fun game. Thanks for sharig it with me over [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/power-slime-shootout/gimme-the-links-to-your-game)
That was really cool game. The only thing was that the resolution was really weird. Thanks for sharing the link with me over [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/power-slime-shootout/gimme-the-links-to-your-game)
Thanks for sharing the link for the game, it was really fun to play. But I wish I had more control over the battle, but I guess this is how most god games is. It was really cool overall.
Really calm and cool game, also glad to see another UE4 Game :smile:
Hey, That was a cool little game. Also looks like I'm bad at coding and I can't count :joy:. Thanks for sharing the link with me :smile:
@aviv871 Thanks :smile: .Yeah the cut in the music is awkward (I forgot to turn it on while paused :sweat_smile: ).
The reason I didn't opt-out of audio is because it's both music and sound effects. And I made all the sound effects. I wish it was separate because I don't know how to make music.
- @enad96 Thanks :smile:. There's some physics bugs that's causing that. Sorry about that :sweat_smile:
- @oune Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it :smile: . Sometimes the enemies get pushed out of the map because of some physics issues.
- @sava-tsurkanu Thanks :smile:. Sorry about that, Physics bugs :sweat_smile:
- @justcamh Thanks for playing it on stream, really enjoyed watching it :smile:. And thanks for the feedback.
- @jima Thanks :smile: Glad you likes it. I love making UI :sweat_smile:
- @jitspoe Thanks :smile:. I agree with you on that. I made the environment first and then decided on the gameplay, which made it kinda out of place. Yeah, making the movement more 2D will definitely help. About the upgrades, I'm not sure why that happened, there was a bug where if you restarted, your upgrades wouldn't get reset, but I fixed that. but seems like it's still happening. I will have another look at it. Which might also be the reason that you couldn't get to the Boss Battle (Wave 10). Thanks for all the valuable feedback :smile:
And Finally, I fixed most of these bugs. But can't upload that as a bug fix since I also added some other stuff. I will be uploading a Post Jam version soon with all the feedback that y'all have been giving. Again thanks for playing and for all the feedback :smile: -
- @dani-tufeld Thanks, Glad you loved it :smile:. I'm also not sure how the theme is connected :sweat_smile:. All upgrades completing before the final wave is bug, caused by accidentally double clicking the upgrade button. I will fix that in the post jam version. Thanks for bringing it to my attention :smile:
- @tricky-fat-cat Thanks :smile:
- @gamepopper Thanks :smile:. Yeah, it would be really nice to play it with a gamepad. I will add it and an option to restore your position in the post jam version. Thanks for the feedback :smile:
- @coleslaughter haha thanks :smile: and thanks for playing it on stream, I really enjoyed watching you guys play it :smiley:
That was one of the best games I played so far. Really like the concept of racing against yourself as ghosts. It's really well polished and looks amazing. Music is really nice too. Managed to get to Lap 14 :smile: Screenshot 2020-10-06 162109.png
That was an interesting concept. fun to play and great looking art and nice music and effects. Only thing that was a bit confusing was the direction that the frogs goes when I released. Since the lily pad is spinning I expect the frog to go in the direction of the spin, but it goes in the direction the frog was facing. I guess it was done so since you can grab on to any part of the leaf and it would make it difficult to launch in the spin direction. So, it's not that bad, just something that I noticed that was a little confusing. Other than that it was really fun to play.
Oooh, that was really fun to play. Love the art and the sound effects and the whole aesthetic of the game. There's a lot of attention to detail stuff, which was really cool. Great Game :smile:
That was a cool and different game, really enjoyed playing it. Good job :smile:
@ossuboi Thank you :smile:
@milan8890 haha, Thanks :sunglasses:
@greyvan Thanks :smile:, yeah collectable powerups would make it more dynamic, already had the pickup mechanics implemented but didn't have time to implement spawning them :sweat_smile:.
I do a single line trace to check if the player is out of the level, I should probably do more than on line trace. Thanks for the bug report, and for the feedback :smile:
@lpghatguy Yeah powerups would make it a lot more interesting. Thanks for playing and for the feedback :smile:
@yahay Thanks :smile: It's probably because it's too reflective, I'll look into that. Thanks for the feedback :smiley:
Am I using too much emoji? I think I'm using too much emoji :sweat_smile:
@manlymanton Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :smile:, yeah I should definitely disable the jump :joy:
@andidebob Thanks, glad you loved it :smile:. And thanks for the feedback I'll add it in the post jam version. I should probably delay the start or add a countdown at the start to fix that.
@nerzal Thanks for playing it, It was really fun watching you play it on stream. And thanks for the really detailed feedback. I'm already working on the post jam version, adding all the feedback. Really glad you loved it :smile:
@jupiter-hadley Thanks for playing and including it in the video, it was really fun to watch :smile:
@kuviman Game was not ez lol, you were too good :joy: Thanks for playing :smile:
@badabooom63 Thanks, I didn't have time to actually make it endless :sweat_smile:. Really happy to know you both enjoyed it, Thanks for playing :smile:
@adrianejro Thanks :smile:. Really glad to know you enjoyed it. Yeah, adding more skins is something I wanna do, hopefully I get around to doing it :sweat_smile:. Thanks for playing and for the feedback.
That was a really well designed game. Even though it's frustrating at times, not because of the game, but my low intelligence :sweat_smile:, It was really fun to connect the different pieces together. Good job.
>**Fun and very crisp game, you definitely put care in the polish of everything. The gameplay is great to; definitely my favorite of all the games I’ve played so far. Excellent job! :100:**
That's exactly what I have to say about this game. Your gameplay is definitely better than mine though :joy:. Will be playing again later in harder modes.
What a beautiful game man, The 2 most epic games mixed into one masterpiece. Really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed your game, It was highly challenging yet possible. Each level was the right amount difficulty in my opinion ( don't know what's going on with the last level ), had some fun figuring out the way forward. Overall it was a great game and I had fun playing it.
@Jason-Kennedy Didn't realize that. I am gonna find it :mag:.
The game is not bad for a game jam. Good job.
Really enjoyed the game, Great work.
This game was a lot of fun, great art, music and soundFX.I Really like the game-play. Don't know why most people are saying it's impossible to complete, I just completed the game after playing it 3 times. You just need to kill the plants, dodge the projectiles and keep moving forward. Really enjoyed it, Great game. There some little bugs here and there, like sometimes the hand will place the exploding type plant on top of the gnome and it immediately explodes but can't see what hit us and feels like the gnome just died for no reason.
LevelComplete.png
Nice Game, hard to play.
@MZA @Bhavin @WesClaudino Thanks for the feedback guys, really appreciate that. :smiley: Also I am happy that you guys like my game.
@mahalis I am glad that you liked the game :video_game:, Thanks for the feedback, I understand your concerns with the controls, it really needs a bit more adjustment. Also this is the first time ever I created my own music, so I guess it's good for a first timer, I am happy that you liked it :smile:
@RobinbyZhou **Thanks** :smiley:.
@JeffChen **Thanks** :smile:
@Hello.Coder Thanks for the feedback, You made it past the impossible level :astonished:. It was there so that no one gets to the unfinished level :sweat_smile:. This is the first time I am Making Music, Glad that you liked it :smiley:. I didn't really care about the theme very much, I just wanted to get a good game out there.
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate that.
@detectiveLosos Thanks for giving some in-depth feedback of my game :slight_smile: I really appreciate that. I am going to update the game soon, so your feedback really helps. I agree with you that the music is not quit fitting for the style of the game. Also the levels are a bit messed up as You said. I will fix it in the next update. Thanks again for this valuable feedback :smiley:.
@LemonBalmGames Glad that you liked the game :smiley:. I was also not sure how the game is related to the theme. But after getting some feedback, the game also feels like a rage game so it's a platformer + Rage Game, since the controls and the levels are hard. Thanks for giving the feedback really appreciate that.
If anyone want me to play your games, please leave a link to your game in the comments.
@La-mecanique-du-plastique Thanks for playing and rating my game :smiley:. not sure what's the cause of the lag, it ran fine for everyone. I agree with you on the controls, it's wonky. But I guess since the controls make it more hard and it's kind of a rage game, it's appropriate ? maybe. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, really appreciate that :smiley:.
@goat-toaster-games Thanks :smile:
@Gregor Thanks for playing. I am :smiley: happy to hear you liked the game, How did you beat the impossible level ? did you found the secret way or just the normal way ?
@Wassim Thanks for playing. Yeah the controls should be a bit more accurate. Thanks for giving me feedback :smiley:
@MinikinKay Thanks for playing, I am really happy that you enjoyed the game :smile:
@Nannah Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback, I will improve on the UI next time :smile:, Once again thanks for the feedback it really helps.
@n00b I am happy that you enjoyed it :smile:
@notpresident35 I used it with an iPhone app called blocs wave, where you can mix pre-made beats to create music. I used the premade beats in the app to create the music.
@mintarcade thanks man :smile:
I like the game it was fun, the graphics was really cool. The game was getting laggy after sometime. I think it's because the game gets real fast, and if didn't destroy all those rocks it's been kept in the level I guess, that might be the problem which is causing the lag, I am not sure, anyway, keeping that aside the game was really fun to play and I enjoyed it.
Nice combination of farming and Racing, good work.
A great game to have some fun. It was really fun to shoot around as a Bear. Jumping across the water is a bit hard though.
I Really like the concept and music of the game, it's a little hard to play since we can't know the angle the ball is being thrown. Other than that a cool game.
Dude, this game was a hell lot of fun. Really well done. I am serious, it's a really great game with some awesome tricky questions to answer.
A really cool Idea.
A well matching game for the theme. It was really fun to match the tiles while also doing tower defense.
