:x: : very laggy on my laptop , i can't even pass the first wave XD :white_check_mark: : i like the particle effect and the lightning

samlecreator 2019-04-30 09:37

Controls really well! Loving the aesthetic too. I don't see how it reflects the theme at all though.

extrone 2019-04-30 10:30

@juba You can reduce the graphics quality in the game settings to increase performance . Glad you liked it

extrone 2019-04-30 10:31

@samlecreator Since the theme is Life is currency, I used it as a currency to upgrade your Blade and Gun. Upgrading your weapons costs your life. Thanks for playing

camcam 2019-04-30 11:09

Very cool game !

raivk 2019-04-30 13:08

The neon sword is really really... REALLY strong ! But it makes the game fun ^^ compared to the gun that has a.. well.. looooong charge time ! Other than that, the visuals are stylish with that neon look, the destruction is cool ! To add more polish, some screenshakes could help, more sounds on action, and the hitbox of the ennemies could be enhanced ;) (or the clutter made from exploding the cubes should not stop the bullets), as sometimes, hits doesn't seem to register. You got a pretty nice little game, congrats ! Those are just some advices, take it as you want :)

extrone 2019-04-30 14:18

@raivk Thanks for the detailed feedback, really appreciate that

a-coltzz 2019-04-30 16:59

Very cool game with lighted effects really enjoyed the movement great job guys. If you have time check out my game too :v:

mateusboga 2019-04-30 17:48

Dat graphics tho. Nice game, I like the destruction physics, it's those details like that that make a game fun :) Great work.

extrone 2019-04-30 18:10

@mateusboga Thank you :grin:

extrone 2019-04-30 18:11

@a-coltzz Thanks, will check yours out for sure

honest-dan 2019-05-01 07:41

Thanks for letting me play this on stream! I enjoyed the graphics quality, though did mention that it doesn't all fit together in terms of visual style. The sabre was too strong that it made me not want to use my gun! Maybe adding a cooldown on it would have helped? Good job!

extrone 2019-05-01 08:12

@honest-dan Thanks for playing it , and giving valuable feedback :grinning:

castrolol 2019-05-02 07:16

@castrolol Thanks, Thank you for playing it

carlsonandpeeters 2019-05-02 08:33

Nice job! Environment visuals are top notch; would've loved to see a similar stylistic design on the characters. Once I upgraded my weapons it was a ton of fun, albeit a little repetitive. An endless survival round might be fun too. Great stuff, and thanks for tuning into the stream!

extrone 2019-05-02 09:46

@carlsonandpeeters Thanks for playing it and giving amazing feedback, Was a lot of fun watching you play it

b33thr33 2019-05-02 16:23

Really nice 80s-Neon-Style Visuals and Fun Game. Hit-Feedback could be a little better but I really enjoyed it ;)

extrone 2019-05-02 16:24

@kylazaur It was fun seeing you play it. Thanks for playing it, Thanks for the amazing feedback, So glad you had fun playing it

extrone 2019-05-02 16:31

@b33thr33 Glad you liked it, hit feedback like screenshake and sfx were there but I didn't have time balance the intensity of it, so it was too subtle to notice. Thanks for the feedback

kimily 2019-05-07 06:38

The settings menu was extremely impressive XD My favorite noise of the entire game was the click-y sound when you press the buttons in the menu. I really like the gun, although sometimes it seems like I should've been able to hit them when it didn't hit them. There's some strange visual artifacts on the enemies around certain bits. I wish I felt stronger because no matter how much I upgraded my gun it never really felt like I had a strong. It felt like I was just shooting a peashooter or something.(the amt of damage it did was weak) I gotta say though, how you spawn in this game surrounded by a bunch of people and obstacles (so you're trapped) felt pretty unfair. I actually died because I spawned and got stuck in the middle surrounded by people and there were blocks in the way of my escape route rip XD

snowschu 2019-05-10 07:54

This was pretty fun! Once I got the hang of the controls (shooting was a bit difficult to figure out) and upgrading, I felt pretty OP, but in a good way. Visually, it was really pretty.

I also want to thank you for the settings you put in. Not many game jam games get the time to put those in. I have a lower end, old computer, so those were a real game saver for me. Much appreciation.

Thanks for hanging out on the stream, as well! Here's the [link to the steram](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/422835552?t=02h38m05s). Your game should start around [02:38:05].

tommyflower 2019-05-10 14:49

A dangerous disco party! Loved the graphics and the music! I always appreciate a good menu with controls settings and everything, and I found the indicators of health status to be really clear. Good job!

extrone 2019-05-11 07:19

@snowschu I am glad you liked it and had fun, and I am so happy that the Settings menu helped you. I knew someone would need that

acearcher 2019-05-18 21:27

I really liked the neon aesthetics! It was pretty fun. It would have been nice to have a little better enemy AI, however. Most levels, either I was immediately swarmed from all sides and killed, or I just ended up walking backwards with a line of enemies following that I could take out pretty easily. I also think the prices on the upgrades were maybe a bit high, and a level select screen where you could replay certain waves - or having the waves generated algorithmically so they're infinite - would add a reason to keep coming back. It functions really well as a concept demo, I'd love to see you return to it and build it out a bit more!

coda-highland 2019-05-20 00:49

That was pretty fun and the graphics were great, but I think AceArcher has a really good point. The kiting strategy worked for me, too.

You might want to make sure you can't kill yourself with upgrades, by the way. I died because I had exactly the right amount of health to afford an upgrade and didn't notice.

corny 2019-05-21 17:35

The game looks very, very good. The gameplay is painfully simple, though. The bots just crowding up in one spot and running after you coupled with the fully automated pistol makes the gameplay boil down to kiting, since you can easily outrun them and they have no ranged attacks. Having the player be able to repeat the wave and farm health also weakens the challenge tenfold. Overall it's a good concept, it's got good graphics and fitting music, but it's set back by way too little challenge.
