I like the style and music and everything. It's a fun idea that I feel like deserves to be elaborated on. Unfortunately I'm either just bad or the game is really hard. After less than a minute I die no matter what I do. Perhaps reduce the speed at which problems occur?

Anyway, overall I liked it so not bad :)

Nice game!

kamekai 2020-04-21 12:35

I agree with @battlecat that it's balanced a little too hard early game. Perhaps a difficulty curve that increases as time goes on would be an effective way to onboard players to the rhythm of the game. On that note, playing into the rhythm by paving the way for predictable input sequences could help a lot. Over all, fun concept and great atmosphere!

theaidency 2020-04-21 12:46

@kamekai @battlecat Thanks for your inputs! I'll see what I can do since the problem detector is a random roll between 0 and 1 per worker. Thanks again!

spawnie 2020-04-21 14:56

Hey ! very fun idea and cute visual. the difficulty seems tuned crazy hard as problems seem to be piling very fast.

greendinogames 2020-04-22 09:26

Fun idea for a game. I agree with the others that it's a little bit hard because multiple numbers increase at the same time. But idea is original and the music fits very well :) Good job!

theaidency 2020-04-23 09:08

@greendinogames @spawnie @kamekai @battlecat Updated the game to have better difficulty balance. It'd be awesome if y'all could try it!

mrabnox 2020-04-23 09:23

Cool game, keep it up! Is there a way to win? Perhaps if you would do different levels it could be a cool thing to see

battlecat 2020-04-23 10:38

~~@theaidency I think it's bugged :( After a few seconds I was Game Over. After restarting all problems stayed at 0, and then after ~20 seconds I was Game Over.~~

Nevermind, just like in real life you have to remember to drink water

battlecat 2020-04-23 10:42

Ah yes, now I feel like it flows more like a game. Now my mind isn't like "what the hell is going on?" and instead it's "how do I do this so I can keep things in check?" :smile_cat:

theaidency 2020-04-23 12:59

@mrabnox I might consider that but for now it's endless as it ramps up over time. @battlecat Thanks for the re-review!

extrone 2020-04-23 13:42

theaidency 2020-04-23 13:53

@extrone Thanks for the review!

marie-launhardt 2020-04-24 11:51

I enjoyed playing the game. The graphics and sound are perfect. However, the game is a little too difficult, because the problems arise too quickly, but that didn't stop me from trying again and again. Good job

sarasm 2020-04-24 11:54

Cool game, really difficult as well. Those guys are annoying! Congratulations

whitefox 2020-05-03 13:37

The idea is cool, but I think that the game needs balancing. It gets really crazy, really fast . The music was fun and fitting to the theme of the game. Also it was nice to have the sound effects to alert you of issues you need to help your coworkers.

bkmld 2020-05-03 14:30

This is fun. It takes a bit of time to get the movement right. Difficulty could increase a little more slowly. Maybe even discretely, so that management decides to replace employees with ones that are less competent each round.

bredian 2020-05-03 15:00

The idea itself is fun, but it has its problems with difficulty curve, as mentioned above. These noobs are stacking to many problems at once. You either ran out of resources, or you go to refill them, boosting the avalanche of problems. It doesn't feel like you failed because of your mismanagement, it feels like you failed because all these problems could not be solved in the first place. After some rebalancement it might become more skill based, which is good.

ekilibr 2020-05-03 15:20

Feels like a real-life bad company simulation (as hard as it can get :'))

Feedbacks on difficulty have already been mentionned, so I' ll just go for the overall. Idea is nice, and everything fits together! Well done on creating a game!

pee-thief 2020-05-03 15:50

Nice game. Great audio and visuals

cheesepencil 2020-05-03 17:34

I thought it was pretty well executed, I liked that the "things happened" based on steps taken instead of based on absolute passage of time. In that way, it was kind of like a board game, where I would have a moment to calculate my next steps. Can I help Annette with her broken calculator before my kidneys fail from dehydration? Or can her problems pile up while I drink and take a fresh air break.

The RNG is interesting too, on my second playthrough, I went directly to the water tank and drank 50 times before someone ran into a problem!

projectaroid 2020-05-03 19:46

Interesting concept. I had to read the instructions to figure out the gameplay but after that it was easy to understand. Cool gameplay loop that gets challenging fast. The art style works well with the audio. Nice work.

sandra-martinez 2020-05-04 15:29

A pretty quick paced game. Pretty challenging :) One of the rare games I actually enjoy playing because it's so hard. Love it, really!
