Really a strange combination of themes: it needs Lamborghini tractors :-)
Nice take on the theme :) Audio not for my taste, a little to "Metallica" sounding. Overall, good submission!
I'm on OSX, the controls stop working a few seconds after starting the game. I can still click the UI buttons and end the day, but I can't use my tractor or move in the race.
Nice combination of farming and Racing, good work.
I played this for probably too long >.> I think you might need to rebalance some of the numbers. Once I got into sugar cane, the game was all over. I was hoping that the racing portion of the game would be more fleshed out and feed back to the growing part of the game. You can entirely play the game without doing the racing portion, it seems like. Just bet nothing and lose and corner the market with plants instead.
Ha, very clever game and neat execution. I like how you have to do the planting manually and you have to think how to use your tractor efficiently so you don't fall behind too much in the racing but also get enough profit from your crops. I like the minimalistic graphics and bit music, the only thing that is somehow annoying is that the tutorial is just wall of text, it would be much more approachable with in-game tutorial, but still it's not that big of complaint since the text is pretty short anyway. So in general pretty cool game, very good concept and fun to play.
@Ripter I'm sorry to hear about that, I haven't had that happen to me. Are you sure that you didn't run out of gas for the tractor?
@Aerosavior I don't know? Do I have to do something special when the game starts to get the tractor to work? I just walked over to it and tried to use it.
@Ripter No, the tractor should work right off the bat. Sorry you're having issues :/
Definitely an interesting game, I certainly had fun figuring out the most efficient way to mow the field and plant/harvest stuff. Like @incobalt, I found I could just ignore the race and not use any fuel that way (maybe make it automatically race so you use fuel whether you want to or not - it's not like the race involves any skill from the player). Other than that, about the only thing I would have done is buttons to buy/sell/fuel like 10 of something at once so I don't have to click nearly so many times). But other than those fairly minor things, I had fun!
Day 1 - I'm anxious to move my tractor too far on the field because I'll spend too much fuel. Day 10 - I bet and easily win $10000.
Great game, totally enjoyed it. Few things that I wish to be in it: better balance, as the game gets too easy quick enough; victory condition; and some additional information about your enemies, because sometimes you start a race without any idea about your chances to win - and having any thoughts on that would make the betting process much more interesting. Great mix of genres, great take on the theme, thank you for your entry!
This is oddly fun and addictive, but after a week I got filthy rich and the life became boring. I liked the background music and overall style. One of the best games I've played so far.
Very neat overall but would have been nice if there was more point to having different crops instead of sugar cane just being simply the best crop with no real reason to plant anything else. I would have probably tried to realistic add soil NPK levels with each nutrient each changing some stuff like growth time, produce quality and quantity.
Also having to click stuff in the end day screen 1 by 1 gets tedious.
Interesting concept and idea. It kinda reminds me in a very far way with Stardew valley, because you plant your stuff and end the day if you know what I mean :P Keep it up! :)
I've been thinking about investing money in some area for a month now, and I came up with a genius idea, thanks to my son. He was playing a game called underground tractors, and I decided to buy up compact tractors and start selling them. I was helped in this by https://www.machinerydealer.co.uk/compact-tractors-for-sale/. We now have a good selection of Farmtrac compact tractors for sale locally; there is no better place to find your new compact tractor in our county. Suppose you are looking for a reliable and versatile compact tractor. In that case, I believe the Farmtrac tractor will more than meet your requirements and expectations.
