That was amazing good work :)

spice135 2017-08-01 16:59

Nice idea and nice execution... enjoyed myself :)

Great sense of humor and challenge! I'm still not quite sure what replying on FL accomplished, but I had a lot of fun anyway.

antaresvaldemar 2017-08-01 17:04

This was pretty entertaining, the popups and messages were really funny!

kristian-dixon 2017-08-01 17:05

I quite like the idea behind this. The popups felt a little too frequent and the hit boxes for the input sometimes felt a little off but with a bit more polish and maybe having the number of popups increase over time this could probably improve it. I had a similar idea of having the amount of stuff draining the battery faster but I never got it implemented in time. Good work :)

naminuz 2017-08-01 17:05

Very funny, well done ^^

hgcummings 2017-08-01 17:13

Haha! This is infuriating but entertaining. Great use of classic forum spam and hollywood movier hacker stereotypes. Audio and graphics are simple but effective too.

matoux42 2017-08-01 17:15

Very fun game !

In facts, all of that wouldn't have happened if this hacker had used Linux instead of Windows :smirk:

prabhjot 2017-08-01 17:17

it was a nice idea and the game as a whole felt good, it got quite boring after playing for only a short while. Maybe seeing the progress your making as you complete it would make it less boring but over all it was quite good.

Wow, stressing but fun! I don't recomend putting your studio logo in those pop ups, people are gona hate it! Just kidding. Nice work, and a really well theme adaptation. In my opinion you got the idea and exploted in a really nice way. Great work!

tyler-miller 2017-08-01 17:32

Not going to lie, I lol-ed plenty during this! Popups were annoying (intentional I know) but I liked the game mechanics and the idea behind it. Great job you all!

rapter 2017-08-01 17:33

AMAZING GAME !!! 5/5

binaryspark 2017-08-01 17:33

Interesting. It has some dry satirical humor, which I quite like. The sound effects helped in making things more interesting; the Avast notification had me chuckling. Some points of improvement: I personally think that the popups appear too frequently, and the keyboard mashing sequence is flawed in that once you find one or two keys that are safe, you can just spam those. Or even hold the key down, that works too! Overall, well done.

thomz12 2017-08-01 17:38

Great game! Very funny content and the game looks pretty good. Gets quite stressful to keep closing all the popups, as intended. The humor in them made up for that. Good job! :)

boxfort 2017-08-01 17:39

Took me 3 tries to finally complete it, this game is absolutely glorious i love it. I was laughing my ass off at it constantly, especially when my wifi went down and i when i got it back i was greeted by about 20 messages from my girlfriend hahaha, love the mechanics, love the humor, really really good job!

mspawa 2017-08-01 17:39

I really enjoyed (and was annoyed) by the game. Maybe the first panel instructions must be shorter. But it was really fun to play, I felt like traveling back to the early 2000 when everybody wanted to make their own websites with all the MIDIs, GIFs and PopUps xD

sgt3v 2017-08-01 17:42

It was really fun and stressful :D A real projection of computer usage of today. Those ads made me lol.

codey 2017-08-01 17:47

Really really funny and a really great idea! theese popups are awesomme! I also like the pseudonyms for the applications. I still didn't find out the password, but I will keep on trying! :D

reggnos 2017-08-01 17:56

I had a blast playing it, laughed half of the time playing through. Interesting concept with the laptop battery. Love the backgrounds btw.

samuli-salonen 2017-08-01 17:56

Haha! how do you come up with stuff like this it's hilarious.

brendan-engelman 2017-08-01 17:58

Super funny and fun game. The doge wallpaper is pretty dope, and the operating system felt realistic, if satirical. Good job!

alexanderteah 2017-08-01 18:08

There's so much content! I loved it! I find it hilarious how many viruses this guy has, great humour on this one! :D

crazyrems 2017-08-01 18:16

Wow, that's a great game. There's a lot of good ideas here and there. I loved closing the dumb ads, they were so annoying  I managed to finish it after a dozen of tries.

gamepopper 2017-08-01 18:59

Fun and frustrating game. Those popups and messages from your mom are annoying as hell!

jake-cope 2017-08-01 19:20

I couldn't hear one more "Avost needs an update", had to quit. Amazing what you did in 72 hours.

neowhoru 2017-08-03 10:44

I really love hacker games. This one is one of the best and funniest.

Really amazing game - love it.

ramkey 2017-08-04 15:45

A definite 5 star! Good luck in winning the jam :)

bombjack 2017-08-05 09:53

very original concept. still very hard with all those popups

klianc09 2017-08-05 16:44

All those subtle (and not so subtle) jokes are really incredible. The pop-ups, instant messages and forums where people write all possible crap, except the thing you search for, gave me a chuckle. They so perfectly parody the frustrations of real-life, that it's almost uncanny. But this is my problem with this game. It emulates the frustration of working on something under time pressure in the internet age too well, that the gameplay is simply that: frustrating. Therefore not a game I enjoy playing, but I appreciate and am impressed by every other aspect of it.

 Fun

 Everything else

diptoman 2017-08-06 08:55

Probably the best thing I've played this LD so far. Sure, I didn't enjoy the pop-ups, they were way too frequent. But that didn't stop me from appreciating it - so much content you got there, with the humor to back it up! Awesome stuff, had me smiling all the way.

jima 2017-08-08 12:56

I just lost my shit when my grandma texted me. This is the exact reason why I always keep my skype at "do not disturb" mode. Really great sense of humor, my favourite popup is "Top 10 anime fights". Different wallpapers are a great touch too. Interpretation of theme is one of the best I've seen for now.

eremiell 2017-08-10 14:59

May we possibly get a native Linux64 binary please?

steing 2017-08-10 16:11

@eremiell : Done ! :)

yuigoto 2017-08-18 06:59

Nicely done! The game's really fun and all the references to internet culture, the popups, the messages incoming at just the "right" time and the music, they all fit so well, it's great! The fact that the locks and passwords keep changing and everything happening while you're hacking gives a lot of tension and set an amazing mood for the game!

Really, great use of the concept, nice execution! Good job!
