I got QWOP vibes, super fun and addicting. Nice work!

I got QWOP vibes, super fun and addicting. Nice work!
Really reminds me of some of the games by Bennett Foddy. Pretty fun, and silly.
controllers not as tight as I expected but loved the concept!
I really was Like "How does that... OOh !! I HAVE TO INHALE AND EXHALE !!!" I smiled and laugh u.u GG !
I really like the look of the character, that was fun. Super clever to make an endless runner and to make the player keep the runner alive by BREATHING! I think the concept was fun enough but the controls need a bit of work, I felt like I was fighting the game a bit. I think with some more time and polish this could be addicting. Good job!
This game is absolutely hilarious! Great work! the bar I think is a little bit clunky but other than that I love the terrain generation and concept. Relatively simple gameplay, but difficult enough to keep engaging at a perfect level. I really like this!
I enjoyed this a bit. Started with a screen that wasn't wide enough and it kept scrolling back and forth, but even with that going on initially, it was pretty fun.
Its fun but I feel like the breath mechanic should be a tad more punishing
Really fun game ! The controls are kinda hard to grasp at first, but it gets amusing pretty quickly I was also surprised by the diversity of obstacles, the game really goes beyond manual respiration. Also, kudos for the really fun graphics !
Strengths : - Quirky gameplay - Diverse level design - Fun sprites
Possible improvements : - Design the beginning so that the core mechanic is easier to grasp
All in all, great job !
OOf! I got 112.554. A very fun game. It took a little while to get up to speed with the controls, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.
What a funny concept! Would like to see the breathing mechanic fleshed out a little more.
IT was a fun run but controls seem a bit clunky and hard to understand the optimal strategy to inhale/exhale :) Good luck ;)
Cool game.
I feel this game. I either forget to breathe or breathe too much when I'm gaming. You guys captured it well :D. Learning to coordinate and plan your breathing with the platforming is a fun challenge. Great graphics!
Really fun and silly, great work! I loved the 2d art on the 3d environment.
Interesting concept and funny character.... the jump mechanics felt a little clunky but then again I'm not very good at infinite runner games ;)
Absolutely cutest lil guy
This was a delight. I really had to force myself to think about input in a different way.
Wow, I never thought about how bad I am at multitasking until I had to platform and breathe at the same time. Cool concept!
Interesting concept of manually controlling things that we do subconsciously is innovative. It brings new levels of depth even into the simplest genres. Fun experience.
I started manually breathing in real life after playing this. Pretty funny concept having to manually control his breathing to move properly with the terrain. I felt like sometimes the terrain gen caused too wide a gap but I think I just wasn't breathing correctly to make a big enough jump.
@snowl: Thanks! We hoped that would happen :D
this was a great idea, as many have already said, and i love the inspiration! not many comments about the music - i think it fits the fun, silly mood of the game, but it would be cool to add layers as you survive for longer.
This game is silly. Great game!! The game is keeping me attracted to it and wanting to play it more. Good Luck!!
Fun and quirky! I feel like the art didn't really fit together, but the gameplay was solid and the concept was pretty amusing. Good job!
Whacky concept, a lot of fun, although I couldn't quite figure out whether I was actually doing it right and what effect the breathing had on my movement. Sometimes, it was quite hard to look ahead, I ended up inadvertently jumping into pits a few times. In general, could use some polishing for the controls and graphics, although the marshmellow itself looked quite cool!
I needed some time to figure out how the inhale and exhale really work but overall it is a fun game and quite addicting. The mechanics could be improved, like the controls and jumping.
I have been playing games for the past hour and this one was the most fun so far! Good job
Funny game! I like the silly mechanic, however I am now manually breathing. Fun mechanic, but I wish there were more specific times you were supposed to breathe. Nice work!
I feel your pain with the unreal webplayer, props just for that. Funny concept, I wish there was more drama with the tiles disappearing behind you.
Really funny idea :D.
Great Job!
It was a really cool idea. I feel like the white rocks could have been higher or something to make it more clear to the player that they have to jump on them.
All in all, fun, cute game. :)
Weird but interesting concept! Reminds me of QWOP, which also has a quite weird but fun mechanic.
Well done!
Cool game. That's a really unique concept. A little bit more instruction would be nice, but overall really fun when you get the hang of it. Good submission!
Really cool concept! Loved that you have to focus on two things at the same time. Overall very fun game! Great job
The mechanics of breathing during running is great!
I started manual breathing myself too. Also, it reminds me of Cave Chaos.
Cool game :D Seems like something to play over and over again. Character is cute!
Thanks for providing a web-build and source code :)
I love the concept and the character art is awesome! I found it challenging and adorable
Really cute and good challenging gameplay.
That's fun! The character art is super cute and the idea of having to manually breathe is novel and interesting. Focusing on that while also trying to pay attention to the jumps was definitely challenging. It really made me appreciate the automatic breathing that I take for granted!
Definitely one of the unique games I've played. I found it a bit hard but I'm not good with gaming lol. I really like the character and especially the expressions and him changing color from not breathing in and the music adds to the mood perfectly.
One thing I noticed is that when you press the right arrow to inhale, it starts from the beginning even if it is part way filled from exhaling. I just thought it would make more sense to add the inhaled air to the exhaled air left in the lungs so it does not have to start from the beginning. Overall though, I really do like this game.
This was a neat idea. It was a nice balance of having to navigate the obstacles while also remembering "oh yeah that BREATHING thing I have to do"
Very different! I like it a lot. Can't see tons to improve other then polish.
Very interesting idea to combine both tasks (running and breathing) in one game. I guess everything has already been said. So I can just congratulate you for the good job :)
Oh my... Guys really? I understand you try to make something on the Unreal ... But why all peace of the game does not work correctly? So many bugs for one small game!
I saw your previous games and they are much better. You can not be too lazy and do better!
For the first game ever is can be great but on your level ...
Sory about critic but it is true. 😟
I love the artwork and animations so much! His facial expressions he makes are adorable! Brilliant idea to have you control his breathing to move! The sound effects and music are excellent as well. Terrific job!
@trozeman: Hi, thanks for playing! Can you please let us know what bugs you're referring to? Sorry your experience wasn't so ideal, we figure it might have to do with the webplayer somehow. What issues are you seeing? Since this was our first time building for HTML using Unreal, we'd like to know the issues that you saw so that we can hopefully resolve them in future games. Thanks!
Interesting mechanic that definitely has some potential in it. I didn't run to any noticeable bugs and the game ran well for me.
UI-wise The bar was confusing, as it started going down by itself after inhaling and not exhaling, implying that the character would be exhaling by itself, but still I was unable to inhale again even with empty bar (without exhaling in the between). So I'm left confused on what the bar actually represents?
Graphically it felt incoherent (realistic clouds and pixel tiles with the 2D character sprite and weird grass texture). I do like the character and the expressions on it, just that other part of the games should've followed the same art style (in my opinion).
I also like that you added how you came up with the idea, it adds personality and is a nice touch!
I think the concept of having to breathe is quite interesting but I can't say the breathing mechanic was actually fun or difficult. In the beginning I was confused because I thought you had to hold the arrows this made it much more difficult. Overall interesting idea but I don't know if this implementation is exactly right. There should be some circumstances where you need to breathe slower or faster or something to change it up. The graphics and audio did fit the game quit well.
Oh boy that was challenging xD It reminded me immediately of QWOP or whatever that other gam is called. I think you nailed the theme in a humorous and original way, just wish it was easier, but I guess that was the idea.
Having to manually breath is such a good anxiety trigger, made for some proper tense gameplay!
Interesting concept, but it seems the way you breath doesn't really affect your jumps as the description says.
The level of difficulty varies between runs. On the first run, I got a really high score, there were (almost) no pits. Then, on the second run, there were many pits, and little platforms with obstacles.
Very unusual. I like games that have controls for seemingly simple tasks. It was difficult for me to outrun the void, but I improved with practice. Even so, I wasn't able to get higher than 60, but then again, I'm not very good at this kind of game. A challenging and innovative game.
