LD46 — Keep it alive

Manual Breathing by legavroche 2020-04-21T03:14:03Z

I feel this game. I either forget to breathe or breathe too much when I'm gaming. You guys captured it well :D. Learning to coordinate and plan your breathing with the platforming is a fun challenge. Great graphics!

Love the particles' personalities. A very charming game! and AWESOME MUSIC

Root Mania by Cristi Mihai 2020-04-23T00:19:38Z

It was both impactful and very amusing to see the fruits of my labour immediately demolished. The futility! Those foolish humans! I thought it was a great interpretation of the theme. Great graphics, too.

Cataracta's eco-friendly adventure by Ponzis 2020-04-21T02:59:08Z

The music and the pixel art give me a nice relaxing vibe. I like being a humble roomba exploring the spaceship.

Survive: eat or be eaten by jondkoon 2020-04-23T00:47:25Z

It's cool how all the other entities are trying to eat each other as well, it made it feel like a race. Man, I can't get past level 1! I'm feeling a bit frustrated that I keep dying when I think I'm eating something smaller than me. Nice game, nonetheless!

Capybaba by matthewi 2020-04-21T02:49:02Z

I really like how the thing you gotta keep alive is the thing attack with! Cool music, too. I got stuck at the part where there's a big gap -- is it possible to make it across? I liked the level design, it makes me feel like there must be a way across, but that I just haven't figured it out. Also, I noticed that it's possible to stick to a wall by moving into it, which makes it possible to scale walls with wall-jumping alone.

LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Adventure by Violetta 2021-10-17T06:10:42Z

I like the idea of having an unreliable partner that you have to work around!

My favorite part was using the destructible terrain to create cover for myself.

Realignment by Mediflect 2021-10-17T06:38:41Z

I enjoyed the mood and I loved the sounds! The simple tuning tasks made me feel like a repair bot, and turning the hums from dissonant to consonant made me feel like I was somehow righting a large and inscrutable system (Wow, how am I doing that? I guess I'm a really good repair bot :D). I also enjoyed the little things in the corridors (e.g. the body).

I didn't like the AI, though. I thought it needed to learn some empathy. Like, I didn't want to be called Perry! It can't just name me! It should have tried to figure out how to listen to me and ask me if I liked my name. Though I couldn't speak, maybe I could have moved in a certain way to communicate. So I shut it down :P

LD53 — Delivery

Packages by Tod Semple 2023-05-17T20:48:15Z

I enjoyed the wholesomeness of this game. It lifted my spirits a bit!

Doggo Delivery by Quobbel 2023-05-17T20:37:37Z

Nice and chill

LD54 — Limited Space

Ghosts by gamebuilder 2023-10-17T06:11:28Z

The atmosphere is great! I was honestly unsettled when I noticed the screen blacking out.

I didn't notice the map on my playthrough and only checked it out after reading the other comments, but those pentagrams would have added to the mood.

Save the Tinyverse by azokal 2023-10-17T06:51:19Z

I love the risk and reward of killing the fungus close to your universe so that you can collect it more easily! I felt tense near the end as my life dropped close to zero, but got some sweet relief when I powered up enough. Amazing balance!

Super Smush TV by FuzzyDunlop 2023-10-05T21:51:34Z

The dashing and sword knockback work so well with the deadly arena! It's cool how if you can tell how the arena is going to shift, you can dash up to an enemy and knock them into the closing walls -- well, at least in principle, since I'm not good enough to pull it off most of the time, haha

Art - Official Intelligence (an AI fever dream) by Ben Parisi 2023-10-17T06:36:08Z

Thanks for performing this experiment, your "postmortem" was especially interesting.

Too Many Carrots in the Kitchen by Bill Marcy 2023-10-06T03:26:30Z

I'm thriving in NYC making and eating ice cream (and) salad. Ice cream salad is so fortifying and invigorating that I haven't felt the need to sleep or socialize, I even sold my bed for a bit of extra cash.

More seriously, I was surprised by the mood this simple game gave me. Though my character was content and had a spacious apartment, he was spending all his time retracing his steps between the freezer and countertop crammed near the window (for max efficiency), furiously making salad and ice cream, all just to pay rent and subsist. And when I forgot to feed him enough ice cream to sustain his mood he lost hope and moved to Portland. Feels too real, man.

Infinite Square Well by orangeoceans 2023-10-06T04:25:50Z

Loved the characters! The music really helped me feel like I had traveled to different worlds
