I love the soft body simulation!
Wow this is amazingly polished. I don't know what I'm doing but as long as the algae go pop I'm happy.
Really well done! A really unique concept.. The mood of the game is so calming, with the art style and music perfectly complimenting it.
Amazing visuals and great sounds the game feel is great. Really unique idea well done
Nice and polished! I like that you put rules in the game, so the player doesn't have to memorize them.
It's so satisfying that it could work without any objectives, the game is really well polished. Congratulations!
I like those SFX and art style! The background music and your game really absorbed me into peace. I'm still not very sure about the pairing mechanism since I've already got 4 green bars touching with each other, but they didn't disappear. But that's not a big deal. I think for me it's not a game to achieve a higher score but to experience a peaceful world.
Anyway, I enjoy your game a lot. It's a relaxing time playing with it. Thank you.
super cute game! love the overall vibes and colors. Sometimes is really hard to avoid some elements and i gameover quite quick lol
The game is very polished! The snapping sound when absorbing a particle. The squishiness of the bubble character. The sound effects add a nice touch too! Goodjob!
took me a little bit to understand what's going on, but eventually realized combos have to actually touch each other. cool concept and atmosphere, and pairs well with the theme.
very fun and cute
It goes well with the theme, the sounds are pleasant and fit well. Cool look. But I didn't find it very fun. But definitely original.
Somehow I really love that it keeps going after game over and you can just watch the bits pile up and pop within you. The silly goopiness and the sound effects are a lot of fun! Really excellently executed idea — not too big for a jam, not too small to be fun. Good work!
i like how i can rotate it
I like this game! Even more so since it has a casual mode. :D
I couldn't understand the point of a push during the first run, but then I read the game description and then it clicked together. Perhaps a very short in-game tutorial would make the onboarding smoother.
The music and sound effects are so good for this kind of game. The same goes for the graphics. It's one of the better looking game on the jam.
I would say that the game would hold my attention for longer if there were more things to do. Like completing the levels with some new mechanics to overcome (things to escape/enemies, things like traps, some new food combos, specific food score targets like "only green things are scored, everything else will just slow you down").
I made my friend play this.
Here is their feedback:
> It would be better to give some extra time for a good play in the non-casual mode. It's either a constant +time for every digested thing or make the player rewarded for matching the specific patterns (the same food for a combo or 1 of each for a different kind of combo). This would make the player more engaged and the highscores will be more diverse.
Before reading the description (or name), I though this was a game about cells and I was all like "oh it's a mitochondria! Why are my mitochondrias disappearing?". Reading your info helped a lot lol. But really cute game in all its simplicity! Player movement was quite satisfying
Great game! Love the calm vibes with the sound design and round shapes!
Really nice game, the graphics are amazing! I'm not sure if digestion is supposed to be random or has a set time, but sometimes it seemed like it took ages for things to digest, so it would be nice to have some kind of fading or dissolving animation to indicate what is getting digested.
this was such a calm and peaceful entry to play :) after a few runs i started to understand the game better, but i never really found myself using the rotate or bump very often. id be interested to see one of the developers play to see how optimized you can get with a play-through. either way, i really enjoyed this game, and the overall mood and tone is on point. great job!
Such a chill game! Very replayable
Love the organic graphics and physics. You really feel like a small Amoeba while playing. The UI looks really nice. I also love the sound effects and the music. Keeping track of what's in your belly, what you need and how long it takes to digest is a bit tricky. But otherwise well done!
The cute art style quickly grabs my attention! And the mechanic there is interesting and chill and I enjoy gathering these small floating shapes. I wish there could be more levels to play with!
What a relaxing game! I really love the visual style and music here, it comes together really cohesively and again feels really relaxed, despite the hectic-ness of stuff flying everywhere. Really nice work!
Super awesome I like it!
My best score is 42 in time mode, and the strategy is to only collect green and red, unless need blue and yellow to eliminate each other. Awesome game, a lot of fun, and graphics are very cute. I really enjoy it, well done!
Very soothing game and chill.
Really fun game, it feels very polished! The soft body physics works great!
Thanks for letting me play this! Excellent job!
Here's the VOD on YouTube to watch the gameplay, just skip to your chapter on the video! https://youtu.be/-eCnQ8GAhN8
nice game! =)
I like the look, feel, and sound of the game! The movement and rotation have a good physicality to them, but still feel good to control. It's also fun to try and find the right combination of particles and fiddle the amoeba to get them to touch.
Beautifully put together. The feel is really cohesive in terms of the interaction between the visuals, sound and mechanics. Definitely a vibe. Mouse movement around the amoeba could be a little janky sometimes (kind of flicked around) and I would have loved the nudge to have a little more 'oomph' to it.
My game-overs weren't always clear to me how/why I got them (even on casual mode?) so maybe a little more feedback as you're approaching a lose condition would be great. Overall, this was a killer entry - loved it.
Ok the pop sfx tickles my brain, not sure how you get rid of stuff in your stomach, but the art was done really well too!
~~Hey, I’m the host of the Ludum Dare score chasers tournament for this jam~~
~~Wanted to ask for score chasers if you were fine with me playing some gameplay of your game in the background in the waiting period / intermission. In the waiting period its going to cycle between gameplay of a bunch of different games in the background (with music from games in the jam playing as well)~~
Videos been made so wouldnt be able to include it anymore, cant delete messages on LD
the experience of playing this game was so smooth, love it!
