Chores Simulator!!!! by DragonFyZex 2017-12-06T06:03:51Z
Loved that you definitely had to put the wash in and wait for it like in real life. Maybe a little bit of polish would go a long way here. Overall, nice job!

Pretty fun game. I do wish there was another mechanic that increased the replayability of the game, because as soon as you figure out how to get dat coin, you've completed the game and it just becomes a high-score game.
Great job!
The game is a nice take on the RTS / lemmings genre. It did feel a little bit out of my hands when it came to eliminating enemies due to them never missing.
Well done!
I feel bad, it's hard to give feedback when you get so stuck at the beginning because you can't figure out the purple particle sections. I went through one to get a key and couldn't get back out.
Overall, fun game!
Oh god, haha i thought i had to eliminate all the blocks because they always stuck to my ship. Jeez, my bad dude. That's what I get for playing the game first thing in the morning on stream. Haha. :P
Also, i didnt know the stickyness of yourself moved to the blocks as well, i just thought you were magnetic.
The concept is pretty genuine, stopping forest fires via cutting off the main contact spot. I like it.
The game does feel rushed however, it was kind of hard to figure out where the infection is, and sometimes the roots didn't cut until i drew circles on them like i was the kid in "The Ring".
The 3D modeling was all super adorable and congruent. I really liked the concept of having to move every character in the band individually.
It would have been really neat to be able to drag select all the characters to move them but sometimes they would get distracted and wander off, and you would have to correct them.
Well done!
The globe is super pretty. It took me 3 or 4 planes in to figure out that i had to click the note and then pick my location spots and then activate the route. Aside from that, it was pretty interesting. Well done!
Fun game man! I like your take on the debt theme (Similar in a way to mine but yours is more RPG and mine is more real-life). I had a blast playing it until i was "hopelessly in debt" and was making less than the cost of the interest. Haha.
Nice job!
The clicker aspect of the game was super interesting. I liked being able to place my own turret when purchasing. I thought the defense was pretty one-dimensional until the upgrade screen hit me like a truck after losing. Well done there, that's quite a good amount of replayability you have in this!
Well, i wasn't expecting the end as I have a young daughter myself. You've literally made me not want to play this game ever again in a good way. Too real, the thought of ever losing her is unfathomable. That being said, the audio, mood, graphics are all on point! Loved this!
Well done!
Wow, this game. It was so much fun trying to decipher a new language after not "being part of the civilization". The little outtake bits and seeing the live actor having a great time behind the mask really sold the quality of the game.
Well done!
Very cool game and a nice take on the "Collectible Card Game" genre. I liked that you created a brand new card game to play that requires you to lose. The only complaint on my part is the walls of text throughout the game. It's kind of hard to follow when there was so much.
Great job!!
The game feels really nice and the controls are tight. I can see myself playing it to completion. The game felt like it was missing something but I cant put my finger on it.
Well done!
Awesome soundtrack! The theme was spot on and I loved the debuffs on the weapons. The crossbow was super broken!
I think you could expand on this and make it a full roguelike. The character and enemy sprites didnt really fit the background but can be improved.
Nice job!
@nardandas Good idea, i opted out from the audio category, thanks! :)
@oskardevelopment Currently, there's an Actor as well for higher pay but on a 30 day pay cycle. All of the events are completely random too. A speed button may make its way in in future updates. We're planning on taking this further into a full project. Thanks for the feedback!
@dawik9000 We're planning on adding a multitude of ways to make money, just as you would in real life. Thanks for the feedback! Can't wait to play your game on stream!
@machrom @potti @pedro-miranda I currently locked the game to 1920x1080, im working on a fix for the anchors for the UI now so that this issue gets resolved for screens with lower resolution. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! <3
Just wanted to update everyone here but Life and Debt has released on Steam and has so many more features / additions / upgrades.
Check it out here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/799840
This was so adorable! I'm a sucker for good platforming. The keyboard controls felt a little too tight but the controller was mm mmmm good. Finished in 7:31. The amount of time you had between checkpoints felt perfect. Hope you continue this!
Nice job man. I ended up spamming wind turbines in order to stay above 100% energy. I would recommend adding a random element like weather that affects the current game.
Well done!
The whole speed dating means card choice system meets UNO was a really interesting concept. I really liked the music and how everything had a wolf theme. It just felt really clean. Sometimes, the RNG was too harsh where there was no way to comeback from the point you were at.
Great job guys!
I love the possession mechanic, it is not used that often in games so when you find a game with it, it's actually really nice to see how it interacts.
Well done man, can't wait to see how you flesh this out!
I love puzzle games like this! Well done, hopefully you continue this and we get to play an updated version with more levels! This was great!
That was super fun. I love playing top down dungeon games.
When I figured out you could just circle and strafe the enemies, it became kind of one-dimensional but awesome nonetheless! The battle axe's special effect at the end was a nice touch!
Dude, this game had laughing from the start. I loved it (used to go watch the Nathan's Hot Dogs competitions). I can't really think of anything that would make this better. Good stuff! The combination of using wasd to mini game with your left hand while spamming arrow keys was so rewarding.
I liked the cohesiveness of the graphics. The story was a nice touch, it went from 0 to 2,147,483,647 almost instantly, just like a detective game should. I do think it sheds light on split personalities but could be refined to better show a light into why his split personalities were affecting him.
Man, this brings back those times when I used to only spam Crazy Taxi in arcades. Thanks for that. I do think you could possibly slow down the speed slightly when you have more trailers so show that your weight has increased.
Nice job!
Game is a really neat take on the clicker genre. I do wish that you could upgrade your clicking damage or upgrading the robot instead spawned more robots to help.
Excellent job, loved the art!
This game was really adorable. It saddens me that all of those children won't get their gifts this year. Hopefully some homeless person will have a nice christmas. :P
I would reduce the volume on start for the music because i almost blew out my ear drums and woke up my child. Haha.
Well done bud!
The voice overs were so good! I actually found a spot in the living room that didnt let any kids near me and i proceeded to win.
This take on the theme was a really nice and fresh version of it. Well done!
Cool game! I really liked the turn based system for movement, the game felt really smooth. The perspective change was pretty neat for the first couple times until i accidentally clicked a door and i wasnt expecting the change. It can be pretty jarring to move back and forth over and over from top down and 3rd person OTS.
Great job!
Dude, these graphics are gorgeous. I love the limited color palette you chose on the scenery. Unfortunately, I'm not super into animal crossing style games, however, from an outside unbiased perspective, I thought it was really well executed!
The game did have that Diablo feel which I love so much. I really liked that you could zoom with the controller to better navigate your surroundings.
The music was really loud on start and I really would have liked a HP bar for the enemies. Hope you take this game further!
I thought this game was pretty neat! The only thing I noticed when I was playing was that I didn't care much for the debuffs/buffs on the top left because i just kept spam clicking all of my planets and throwing them at the objectives.
It would have been nice to see the buff/debuff appear on the empty part of the screen and then fade out. Other than that, I found this game pretty fun and i hope you continue to work on it!
Great job!
I really liked the balance you had to create between Health and Mana, however, when i needed mana, i just had to sit there and wait for the AI to smack me. It kinds of stops the momentum of the game.
The Q is totally OP and super fun to use, died after like 2 rounds each time. Can't wait to see the improvements on ths game!
The game was pretty fun I mean, who doesn't like shooting mustaches with mustaches while being a block with a mustache!
My only recommendation for the game is to make the hitbox for your projectile a little taller, it was frustrating to narrowly miss mustaches when there were so many.
Great job!
Nice job bud! The graphics could use a little polish but they fit the overall idea well. It felt like old times on Newgrounds when i used to play called "Learn to Fly". The nostalgia alone made me all giddy.
I did notice that there is no hard limit on the horizontal speed and was moving at insane velocities and then God slapped me. GG. :)
This game was neat. Loved the Lovecraftian feel of the game. I liked that as you discover riddles and logs, you start to go more and more insane.
Very cool!
Lilly! Tell Nat that her art was so cool for this. You don't see many games that exist where all of the art is hand-drawn and scanned in. I really liked the gritty aspect of that.
The mechanic of picking up each spider was pretty humorous to me, it felt like i was asking each of them their name. :)
Hey there! This game brought back so many fond memories of Newgrounds games i played back in the day. I do think the music is a tad loud when you start up and I had to almost turn it off before starting the game.
I do think that even though the sprites could use some work, if you added some kind of mechanic that elevated the core gameplay from just "another basket catching game" to something innovative and new, it would be awesome!
Well done!
The hitboxes for the needles were enormous, couldn't get through parts of the level when i totally thought i dodged the needle. Also, i do recommend allowing wasd for movement in the future too, its kind of odd to use the arrow keys for a game sometimes.
Great job!
Steve was just always so hungry! I kept killing purple dudes and it never pleased him. 10/10 would feed Steve more bear meat.
Everything felt so clean, maybe one or two more frames in the attack animation or a shadow for the character would really help with immersion.
Awesome job!
Interesting take on the theme. I liked how you had to constantly clean up vomit from people who came to your house after a long night of partying and then chose your house to vomit in instead of their on. Also, you damn fast at cleanin up.
Nice job!
This is pretty cool! I do think that the people need a better detection system, because multiple times, a guy further away would turn to me but his friend 3 inches from me wouldn't.
With some polish and refinement, this thing could really go places!
I really enjoyed the mechanic of being able to jump on and ride the ads. Really interesting take on the theme!
I liked how comical everything was but I didn't know that I needed 100k points to not have an "empty" wallet. I guess if that was made clear, i made go and grind again!
This was pretty cool man! I did like the jump and shoot mechanics you added in but did not explain that i had a double jump so it wasn't clear that i could jump over that first higher ledge.
I still finished it and it felt like a game you could continue, the only thing was that i did not notice any difference from increasing enemy damage so i killed everything like a madman. Nice job!
Definitely an interesting use of the theme. I did like the facial expression on the character, but i do feel that the jump lasted too long in the air, so it was a bit too hard to land on the platform. Also, got stuck on the platform's edge quite a few times. Nice job!
Really nice variation on tetris. I loved how you could rotate any piece any direction at any time.
The large level, i just brought as much stuff as possible into the scoring area and didnt bother lining anything up. Nice job!
Really well made! In the web player i did have some issues with multiple buttons being pressed at the time and they wouldn't respond.
Aside from that, really great job!
This game has a interesting take on controls. Twin stick shooters typically used WASD and Mouse, but you only allow the player to attack in 8 directions. That aside, interesting concept, i did feel that the camera was too close based on the enemies' bullet speeds. Also, I'm not too sure what the fire power multi did.
Great job!
What a nice take on the theme and puzzle games in general. A 2D game where you sacrifice Pikmin and use them as ways to traverse areas for puzzles? What can really go wrong there.
Excellent game James! I ended up finishing it after stream and spent a good chunk of time getting through everything.
You rock bud!
I really love what people can do with PICO-8. It still impresses me when i see new games with unique ideas on this engine.
Everything felt very smooth and the game flowed really well. I do think that the game could benefit from reducing how fast the movement is slightly.
Nice job!
I really loved the platforming where you couldn't fix your mistakes. It really felt like the choices you made mattered. Excellent game and super fun!
This was pretty darn awesome. You nailed the theme and the mood. It really had you feeling like the choice mattered. Excellent job!
Hey there! Neat game man!
I absolutely love Horde-based games so you got me hooked there. I do wish that there was either a way to upgrade the blood ball shot.
Hey there! Neat game man!
I absolutely love Horde-based games so you got me hooked there. I do wish that there was either a way to upgrade the blood ball shot. I really think this game could benefit by reducing the earlier levels killcount requirements.
The teleport idea was really fun and innovative though!
This was a super neat idea! It could really make for some complicated and difficult puzzles down the line!
Definitely an interesting and neat little game. Would love to see a few more levels and maybe a few ways to introduce mechanics.
A timer was in the plans but I got stuck with some other issue that took up most of my Sunday. I will for sure be adding a timer in the future!
Thanks for playing! :)
Happy you liked it and I agree, the training time for some of the troops takes too long. Thanks!
@gamesplusjames Thanks so much man! Happy you enjoyed it!
@lillybyte Hey thanks! Yeah, didnt nearly have enough time to make a super smart AI but it's nice to feel powerful.
@luckyfeathers Hey thanks man! Happy you enjoyed it! I would have loved to add those features too! The cheating AI aint a bad idea. :)
@xeke-death Thanks! It reminds me of a game i used to play on newgrounds.
@tjakka5 Whoa! That's super mighty nice of you to say for the feedback! Happy you enjoyed it.
This was a great variant on the clicker game! Excellent job! The music was awesome and the game was super addictive.
Cool game! I didn't get to the shop, the slimes were super difficult and I liked that you gave the player multiple choices.
Wow, this game totally rocked! The audio was on point, the graphics were well made, and the gameflow was real good.
Guys, this game was awesome! I had so much fun growing tables and running at carrots. Would love to see this one expanded!
Very cool game! Really appreciate some hand-drawn art due to there not really being that much of it anymore. Lasted 258 years. Well done!
Now, this is a mobile game that I could see myself playing in the bathroom for way too long, ahaha.
I love puzzle games and adding in wind elements, trajectories, and velocity takes the cake!
Well done!
@paulhocker Thanks! Yeah, it's meant to be a casual experience. Hints wouldnt have been a bad idea!
@borodaolen I think the reason behind the life increasing no matter what is that Tamo just really likes food. It currently gives only 25% of the full value of the food if it isnt what he wants.
@topbraj Ayy thanks man. Happy you had fun, death to kiwi gods!
@helmisetsuna I also really think a minimap would be super useful in this game! Thanks for playing!
@1punnyguy44 Happy you liked it! We got every into the game that we wanted except for animated grass.
@mrtroy Praise be to Tamo for he is worth it.
The game felt nice and relaxing and the eyes that were on you all the time made me feel uneasy.
The only issue I had was the pacing, the text at the "true ending" went way too slow and I wished I was able to click through it to read at my own speed.
Nice job!
Man, this was great! Had a ton of fun playing this and really loved the ship movement mechanics!
Super cool idea!
A waypoint system or a minimap would have really sold me on the concept. Great job!
This was a cool take on the theme. For some reason, when I became a father, I'm unable to see the message "Baby: blahblah has died" without thinking of my own kids and getting queasy. Haha.
Great game though! Definitely close to how it feels with multiple kids, would be nice to have a way to craft diapers, although you're in space with zero communication to the outside world.
Awesome job! I loved the third person controller. It felt really natural.
The only thing I think needs to be adjusted is the options menu, it's really overwhelming with the colors and maybe having it as part of the phone as applications on the screen would be really a nice way to feel like it's included in the environment.
Well done!
Pretty awesome! Loved smacking the ever living crap out of everything. Playing baby keep away is also a great pastime.
Man, this game was so cool! I really loved the extreme micromanaging that existed in this. I can now say that my hands have now bent in ways that I've never seen them bend before!
Excellent job!
Gameplay: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/600125139?t=00h23m47s
Man this was pretty great! I loved the drift that cars had when turning. There was just enough to keep my mind occupied and it felt necessary to try to save every single person who had a little bruise. :)
Excellent job!
Great job on this game! The art is so well done and I love the concept!
I did have an issue where after i selected a turret, i was committed to placing it. I attempted to pick a different turret and it ended up placing the turret instead in a bad spot.
So much fun! Well done!
This was pretty great. I loved stealing the bugs' love and smashing them into bug juice for my grandmother. 10/10 would give grandma bug juice again.
Hey there! Loved this concept. I do wish that the game had a quick restart. The dialog after the balloon popped was way too long between runs and I really wanted to just keep trying to beat my highscore. Did get the balloon to pop on the fan which was a nice addition.
Man this game could get really addicting real fast! Imagine if this was a mobile game and you could tilt your phone to dodge the fire. Maybe adding a way to gain coins for dodges and unlock new fish would be really neat!
Excellent job!
Hey, your game was great! I do think that adding a way to reduce the speed the fire's life decreases would be a nice addition. Well done!
Hey! This is a fun platformer! I do wish that the enemies did not drop their aggro after a certain time.
Well done.
Seemed pretty straight forward when i figured out that the shurikens were thrown toward the mouse. Not sure why the balloon got too slow to continue. Good job!
Really interesting take on the theme! I've love for this to be built upon and have to be able to also steer the ship. You might be able to merge the micromanaging of FTL into this and it could be a hit!
Great job!
Dude, this game feels so great. I love games that use this control system! Wonderful job!
Loved this game! Only issue is that my keyboard inputs were sometimes not picked up if I tried to move too fast to one side. (i have a very fast actuation on my keyboard)
Well done!
The game plays great. The music is perfect. The game is pretty and that water shader is fantastic! Excellent job!
@anticdope Happy you liked it, it's there, somewhere, always watching, always waiting.
@predominant Happy you enjoyed it, thanks!
@snip-man We don't even know what's down there.
@gamesplusjames Only the true adventurers achieve sky-swimming. Thanks for playing!
@doctortm Thanks man! Happy you enjoyed the game!
@xeke-death Thanks dude, I'm happy with the visibility mechanic as well.
@josephdevelops He's always watching and won't swim above 50m.
@tangiblegames All I had time for was 1 craftable object. In that way i guess it's more of a prototype. Lighting was super simple actually, smoke and mirrors.
@tomtomgome Another sky-swimmer, rejoice!
@cinderblock ;)
@g12345 Yeah, we forgot to re-check inventory for required mats after purchase, oops! Thanks for playing! We spent probably too much time on the fish system.
@holtzzy223 Ah, another sky-swimmer in our midst, thanks fopr playing!
@vixenmink Oh no! Sorry to hear that man! Hope you figured it out somehow, which platform were you playing it on?
@shakedimus Yeah its very much a prototype that ebbs on the vibes of subnautica and was definitely overscoped. Thanks for playing!
This is awesome take on Tetris! An option for changing the volume of the sound would have been nice as the music was pretty loud. Well done!
This concept is wonderful, I would love to see this turned into a full game with a huge twisting story. What a neat take on the theme and I love the puzzle aspect.
Love the feeling you get as a postman delivering the last package for his day down into the depths of hell. The atmosphere and the music are spot on. Love this game. A transition between lanes would really reduce the jitteryness. Great job!
@igor-morgun I know right? :)
@wormius Thanks man! Happy you enjoyed it!
@misterstripey Appreciated you playing it, there's a high chance we might continue developing this project.
@holtzzy223 Thanks bud!
@honest-dan Got a chance to see you play it in the VoD! Happy you enjoyed playing it!
Dude this was great! I love your play on the theme and how the words of the theme became the whole game, excellent job!
Great job! Love the animations and VO!
Couldnt get past the first orb after opening the door, some kind of collision issue.
https://gyazo.com/506f1c6fa7b5b597a8e762cda4bd3af3.gif
Well done!
Great job! Surprised this is your first game, really enjoyed it!
This was a great take on turn based dungeon crawling. I loved this and super into puzzle turnbased stuff. PICO8 is always a challenge and i love that you did procgen in it!
Thanks for letting me play this!

@nikolaself @taikinaaa Happy you liked it, thanks for playing!
@witchgf Yeah, totally agree, jams definitely feel rushed more often than not especially when you can't allocate the amount of time you want to it. Thanks for playing!
@reikan Yeah i think we made it intentionally hard, like an old arcade game.
@scolondev Everyone is having force quit issues and we think we know what the problem is, the world is procgen as you move around, so it might be generating too far out too often.
@someone Agree there, cats make every game they're in better. We exponentially reduced the spawn timer by 3% but i forgot to cap it at a low level. The screenshot is so funny.
@asfdfdfd Praise be to the motherland!
@martta Understood, thanks for the feedback! An end goal would have been good, but in the old school arcade style, its a play until you lose game, we just didnt have time for leaderboards.
@fullheartgames @tappioca - More crashes, bummer. Happy you both liked it!
@bloodfin Thanks! Yeah our collision system is a bit wonky for sure.
@hawkin Oops, did I forgot to add a height ceiling to enemies? Thanks for playing! :)
@skvader-418 Dang more crashes, also thanks for playing, happy you liked it!
@augmotic Those darn top bounds, if we keep working on this, we'll fix that!
@chase-of-bass @wobbleblocks Thanks for playing, happy you enjoyed it!!
Hey there, a buddy of yours suggested this and it was pretty darm awesome! I ended up playing your game on stream!
