This is a fun idea and beautiful graphics, however for me it feels like it's too difficult to actually do anything in the game. Better controls and more predictable behaviour would help.

The concept is nice, however it feels like there is not much I influence as player. I might not get the idea though :) As people mentioned, a better tutorial is crucial to get better experience.
The link does not seem to work :(
This one is quite impressively polished for a jam game :) However I have to say in my understanding the idea behind this last twist is quite opposite of the jam theme: here you'd be better off without making sacrifices, both plot- and gameplay-wise.
This is a very nice refreshing take on the good old Snake concept :)
This game definitely creates an atmosphere by very simple means. Feels kinda raw though.
It has a very nice look and feel. One thing that is missing is some kind of in-game explanation, like a tutorial or hints on things you select.
This is a very solid game that has everything it needs despite the simplicity. Great work and great take on the theme!
I did not understand why did I die =/
This is a very nicely done game, the gameplay is simple yet balanced and fully-fledged. Too bad I don't have middle mouse button :(
This is a very interesting mechanic, it forces you to bend your mind to think what can you do to beat a level, makes it a solid promising base for a puzzle game, like Portal and such :) Everything looks polished and works well together.
@dooda right I had a whole bunch of ideas like you could also plunder caravans and that would change how likely they are to take this route next time, and that they can start a war instead of just trading with each other and then you could play your part in that as well and so on... However I had time to implement only one basic mechanic :)
Maybe it's too simple in the sense that there is no way you can make a mistake and it's super obvious how to beat it but I love how it completely fulfills the one idea that it has. The same can be said about graphics: it's super simple but it's perfect in it's simplicity :)
I think this is the best game on this LD I've played. The mechanic is so simple and powerful and gives a refreshing twist on the old "visual novel" genre, and it uses the theme perfectly, and the art if great and it has deep cute mood, so basically checks all the boxes for me!
The game looks really polished!
hey @luckyfeathers, thanks for your feedback, it's really deep :)
I actually started off with that but then I realised that if I don't add some drag the rocket would be indefinetely randomly bouncing around the level and often "accidentally" complete levels because of that. So I gave up some realism for the sake of playability.
I love the atmospheric graphics and especially music. I kind of missed the point (or what am I supposed to do) at first, then I walked into the town, then the game crashed when I tried to enter a door :)
erm... yes it is confusing :)
One of them zen games... I love the art style. The one thing I love the most is how the bird's body moves according to its movement.
The only thing is the game seems to want you to actually beat it which is really unclear how to do. This is frustrating. I think this is the kind of game where "beating" it should not be there or at least should not be the focus.
Hey there, very nice piece! I love the minimalistic art and how the simple gameplay is complimented by a touching story line.
This game is weird but enjoyable. I have no idea how to play and what I need to do and what I can do and what is going on on the screen but I had some fun :)
Neon is always good. Simple gameplay is always good. Enemies killing you while being outside the screen border is always bad :)
