LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

People/Power by SecondDimension 2018-12-05T12:30:44Z

This is a fun idea and beautiful graphics, however for me it feels like it's too difficult to actually do anything in the game. Better controls and more predictable behaviour would help.

Path of (dis)abilities by yuriaicruz 2018-12-03T22:39:23Z

The concept is nice, however it feels like there is not much I influence as player. I might not get the idea though :) As people mentioned, a better tutorial is crucial to get better experience.

Journey To The Promise Land by royur 2018-12-03T22:13:12Z

The link does not seem to work :(

Vincent's Sacrifice by Honest Dan 2018-12-10T23:30:48Z

This one is quite impressively polished for a jam game :) However I have to say in my understanding the idea behind this last twist is quite opposite of the jam theme: here you'd be better off without making sacrifices, both plot- and gameplay-wise.

Together We Clear by Kciwsolb 2018-12-16T14:30:06Z

This is a very nice refreshing take on the good old Snake concept :)

Making Ends Meet by agwblack 2018-12-03T22:24:50Z

This game definitely creates an atmosphere by very simple means. Feels kinda raw though.

Dark Villagers by AwiX 2018-12-05T13:04:04Z

It has a very nice look and feel. One thing that is missing is some kind of in-game explanation, like a tutorial or hints on things you select.

Dungeon of Friendship by captainweeaboo 2018-12-05T12:02:45Z

This is a very solid game that has everything it needs despite the simplicity. Great work and great take on the theme!

End of mankind by jijaweb 2018-12-05T13:09:25Z

I did not understand why did I die =/

Creepy-Crawlies by KaunisPoika 2018-12-05T13:20:39Z

This is a very nicely done game, the gameplay is simple yet balanced and fully-fledged. Too bad I don't have middle mouse button :(

LD44 — Your life is currency

Ghostly Tricks by Nelson William 2019-04-30T19:04:38Z

This is a very interesting mechanic, it forces you to bend your mind to think what can you do to beat a level, makes it a solid promising base for a puzzle game, like Portal and such :) Everything looks polished and works well together.

Life of a Hoarder by spidamoo 2019-04-30T18:40:54Z

@dooda right I had a whole bunch of ideas like you could also plunder caravans and that would change how likely they are to take this route next time, and that they can start a war instead of just trading with each other and then you could play your part in that as well and so on... However I had time to implement only one basic mechanic :)

The Price of a Palace by TPZombie 2019-04-30T16:21:57Z

Maybe it's too simple in the sense that there is no way you can make a mistake and it's super obvious how to beat it but I love how it completely fulfills the one idea that it has. The same can be said about graphics: it's super simple but it's perfect in it's simplicity :)

LD45 — Start with nothing

Nothing to Say by celia14 2019-10-09T21:24:34Z

I think this is the best game on this LD I've played. The mechanic is so simple and powerful and gives a refreshing twist on the old "visual novel" genre, and it uses the theme perfectly, and the art if great and it has deep cute mood, so basically checks all the boxes for me!

Gardenia by Teslov 2019-10-08T09:36:03Z

I don't understand what do I do to get food in this game (help does not scroll). But also I can't loose no matter if food goes below zero :) So I end up just clicking around and looking at the crops grow.

Deer Game by kantieno 2019-10-08T09:44:47Z

I love the graphics but I think the two parts of the game are kind of detached from each other? I mean the calm walk through the woods feels very nice but the boss fight I don't think it really adds much to the game overall :)

TRIGGORE by Lumpy 2019-10-09T19:56:53Z

This is a really nice piece, maybe too challenging I'd say. The theme is not so strong in this one I'd say :)

Ragtag Rescue by Tim Ruswick 2019-10-09T20:37:22Z

The game looks really polished!

Confined Space by spidamoo 2019-10-09T22:04:08Z

hey @luckyfeathers, thanks for your feedback, it's really deep :)

I actually started off with that but then I realised that if I don't add some drag the rocket would be indefinetely randomly bouncing around the level and often "accidentally" complete levels because of that. So I gave up some realism for the sake of playability.

A Quiet Dream by thevinter 2019-10-08T09:56:27Z

I love the atmospheric graphics and especially music. I kind of missed the point (or what am I supposed to do) at first, then I walked into the town, then the game crashed when I tried to enter a door :)

The Seven by Torami 2019-10-08T09:19:30Z

I think you should've made it easier :) Sometimes I get a platform where the color apparently is not what it seems to be.

LEGS by moechen 2019-10-09T20:11:03Z

I love the art style. On the improvement side, one thing that immediately struck me is how enemies/dangerous object are not visually distinct so I would not know what would kill me.

Nothing in Room by Colsk 2019-10-08T14:34:13Z

erm... yes it is confusing :)

LD46 — Keep it alive

Più, a bird song by Ekilibr 2020-04-21T13:37:22Z

One of them zen games... I love the art style. The one thing I love the most is how the bird's body moves according to its movement.

The only thing is the game seems to want you to actually beat it which is really unclear how to do. This is frustrating. I think this is the kind of game where "beating" it should not be there or at least should not be the focus.

ʞɐdʇomʞɐ by aviktorov 2020-05-05T09:08:41Z

That is taking Twitch-API games to a new level!

Interstellar Connection by celia14 2020-04-21T09:39:46Z

Hey there, very nice piece! I love the minimalistic art and how the simple gameplay is complimented by a touching story line.

Feed King or Die Starving by jefvel 2020-04-21T13:25:30Z

This game is weird but enjoyable. I have no idea how to play and what I need to do and what I can do and what is going on on the screen but I had some fun :)

hoarde. by Geryon Games 2020-04-21T13:27:58Z

Neon is always good. Simple gameplay is always good. Enemies killing you while being outside the screen border is always bad :)

Whacktory by sndsgood 2020-04-21T13:45:58Z

That's a nice take. One thing that caught my eye (possible improvement I guess?) is that as more factories appear the health bar depletes and the planet gradually turns but these two thing do not seem to be in sync which to seemed to be logical.
