Very relaxing! The controls feel really smooth. Good Job!

moandor 2020-04-21 11:13

Beautiful experience, the controls are really smooth and the work done with the music is impressive, great job ! :)

chromaphase 2020-04-21 11:14

nice art work and atmosphere, very smooth.

spidamoo 2020-04-21 13:37

One of them zen games... I love the art style. The one thing I love the most is how the bird's body moves according to its movement.

The only thing is the game seems to want you to actually beat it which is really unclear how to do. This is frustrating. I think this is the kind of game where "beating" it should not be there or at least should not be the focus.

arzi 2020-04-21 16:34

So pretty and meditative! Wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be doing after the beginning though :D

sleeping-panda-games 2020-04-21 21:29

Very poetic! Music is relaxing. You play, and understand what you have to do along your progression. Having sounds changing along makes the game magic as you wish to just.. Go away listening to this melodic song. Thank you for this peaceful journey! <3

mrhassansan 2020-04-22 14:52

Ahh, fantastic job, all! Really love how you dug into the music notation aesthetic. Can I ask how you all implemented the dynamic audio? For speed's sake, our team used the native functions in Unity, but that did lead to some unintended wonkiness

louis-denizet 2020-04-22 15:11

Thanks a lot for playing the game and giving feedbacks =)

@mrhassansan for the music we had layered music to launch to launch each part at different moments!

daichifob 2020-04-22 23:47

What a beautiful game. I like that when you hit the wall you don't go crashing down but just get turned away in a gentle u-turn.

thedouche 2020-04-23 19:38

This was amazing the animations and everything was so smooth, as a musician my self i really liked how you used pauses different clefs, etc! Keep it up!

Loved it!

marco-le-van 2020-04-23 19:39

What a beautiful experience, everything was so relaxing and peaceful, amazing! Great job!

james-7777 2020-04-23 19:49

Beautiful graphics and music, loved the relaxing atmosphere too. I was struggling a bit to figure out where to go after I found two of the birds though.

caeonosphere 2020-04-23 19:56

Like other folks, I liked the controls, the graphics, and the sounds... but was a little disappointed to discover that it's ultimately all about going through damage zones and having to retrace your steps if you fail. It's a straightforward and punishing end to a beautiful means! Would definitely play another take on this.

skyppy 2020-04-23 19:57

Sounds, musics and arts fit just so well together. Controls are smooth, the way of the bird come back when you go out of bounds is sooo smooth and well done. Animations and the feel of speed with left click are very nice. Really good job, you guys can be proud of your work !

kyakune 2020-04-23 20:01

Very relaxing. The musics are on very adequacy with what's happening on the screen and the evolution of powers. My little problem is for the 3rd power. I lost it the first time because the passage for the 4th power is so long and birds don't support it. I had to start all over again, but I knew the way and I finished quickly enough. Congrats, it's a very beautiful game ;)

coolestdoggie 2020-04-23 20:28

Great game with a good idea. Beautiful bird but not enough convenient cortrol and by the end of the game it's become a little bit boring. I like the twists of the bird.

penguinbob 2020-04-23 21:51

Love how good the graphics, and how well polished the game is! The game is relaxing, and intuitive! One of my favorite games of all the game jam that I have played! Great job! Keep it up!

ekilibr 2020-04-23 22:35

Thanks a lot everyone for all your feedbacks and kind words!

@coolestdoggie could you precise what was creating that lack of convenience in your experience?

bulent-altinay 2020-04-25 18:55

Awesome game! I got nothing more to say... 5 :stars:

scott-steffes 2020-04-26 12:16

The flying controls felt very nice, and the artstyle was really tasteful. Having more of an indication of how much longer the songbirds can survive would probable improve the gameplay. Not being able to see the layout of the map made it hard to predict where you could safely go without running out of gems.

gregoire-d 2020-04-26 12:57

Very nice game feel and sound design ! the wobbling sides of the game screen was a nice touch also !

laura-del-pino 2020-04-26 16:08

Hi!!!Very nice game!! I love the aestetic and the music notation theme <3 I would like some in-game tutorial that hints you where to go next or that introduces to the narrative, but overall it a GREAT entry :D Congrats!

brotherbyto 2020-04-27 00:35

The graphics are amazing. Yet I still don't know what I'm supposed to do.

ekilibr 2020-04-27 07:57

Hello @brotherbyto => have you seend the intro tutorials showing-up? When you start the game, follow the Arrow next to the Bird and reach the first Big Note. Seek for the 4 of them that are hidden in the world and bring them back all together to the place you started in ;)

celia14 2020-04-28 00:31

Beautiful! The birds swooping looked lovely and was really enjoyable to play. It was hard for me to find where to go next, but I was motivated to find all the little birds and hear the full melody. Very well done and polished game.

aurel300 2020-04-28 18:14

Pretty! I liked how the individual parts of the music worked pretty well on their own. Maybe the bass a little bit less, but that one clearly wasn't meant to be picked up first given the rest minefield ^^ I felt the turning radius of the bird was perhaps a bit too large, so I ended up flying into walls more often than I wanted to. This is more of an issue since the map had a lot of narrow corridors. (I think I would have like the first power, velocity, more if it made me turn faster.) Speaking of the map, I see that the aesthetic was kept very minimalist, but perhaps there could be some subtle ways to make parts of the map feel unique? As it is it was easy to lose track of my position in the world. After picking up the first songbird, I returned to the clef, where I expected to be able to drop the bird off, I didn't immediately realise that I have to return with all four. Anyway, very nice entry overall, quite relaxing.

ekilibr 2020-04-29 16:54

@aurel300 thanks a lot for the complete feedback!

Regarding the turn radius, having it shorter when you accelerate would make the bird harder to control.

I totally agree with you regarding level design and level art elements, that's the part we had the less time remaining to iterate on, unfortunately... So that's why it is less detailed and varied than we expected.

convg 2020-04-30 08:18

Really like the pace of this game, and it sets the tone well. I like the simple graphics, they look really nice. Sometimes it's annoying when you randomly get forced to circle into one of those trap things. Overall, nice work!

cheesepencil 2020-04-30 22:16

I couldn't figure out how to get through the passages with multiple "rest" sections without losing all my birds... when I made it to the other side, it was just the velocity bird again, and then when I tried to leave the section with all the "rest" sections then the velocity bird died too.

Otherwise it was nice to look at and listen to!

ekilibr 2020-04-30 22:51

@cheesepencil Get the first three birds, then activate the shield to go through dark zones! ;)

arowx 2020-05-01 13:31

Amazing flow in this game, great work. Could you make it look more visually appealing with some color?

turritom 2020-05-03 11:41

very nice game and smooth gameplay. really good to relax.

theaidency 2020-05-04 07:03

Just woah. Thanks for rating my game!

rongo-matane 2020-05-04 16:02

Wow, the bird animation is so smooth and satysfying, you made flying so relaxing and beautiful. The soundscape is great, tonally plays together so well with the flying and art, very well rounded. The power ups motivated to push through the game and i finished it. I was very thankful for me not dying on hitting a wall and for the last indicator pointing me to the end :) Great job!

rik-thunder 2020-05-06 12:52

I can see this being in an app store : o Really like the mood. Even though I'm terrible at collecting these notes. I'm also not sure what collecting them does for me or whether im doing it right.

elio 2020-05-06 15:28

Great experience the game is awesome, i love the graphics and the level, great job :D

iak 2020-05-07 10:39

Hey, thanks for posting the game for my stream!

This game is really pretty, have great audio, and just feels really polished overall. It's fun to play as well, in a soothing kinda way, at least once I figured out what to do.

On the stream I didn't get around to finishing it, so I revisited it later and made a video of that ;)

One the best ld46 game I've played! I loved everything, the mood, sounds, graphics, movement etc! Once I figured out that I have to collect all the birds at once it was fun. Once i got to the second bird, attraction, it put a smile on my face. Its a good idea/twist to have. Really well implemented, simply loved it :)

lazzydev72 2020-05-08 15:36

Here is my Playthrough of the Game

https://youtu.be/7bcYTSzSVRk

I really liked it a lot, thanks for the sugesstion!

neontropics 2020-05-11 23:41

The sound, graphics and general design of this is great! The added juice and polish really makes it feel good to play.

For some minor feedback, for a jam game you get a bit too frustrated when you lose the song-birds.

tekses 2020-05-12 11:48

Such a beautiful game! I loved the idea and calming music and style. The controlls were a bit unprecise for my taste but maybe it was because of my browsers performance. Great job

gameovermexico 2020-05-12 12:30

I loved the graphics and the gameplay and what was a little frustrating was having 2 little birds and losing one, which is great to see that you did it with construct 3, I think I will switch to that platform to see how it works, very good job!

thomas-bringer 2020-05-12 12:40

Great game! The graphics looked wonderful! A very relaxing experience with nice audio, art, and animations. Gameplay was simple and nice. Really polished. Congrats! :)

tarnes 2020-05-12 12:49
