Nice litte game. The music is catchy and makes the game way more fun. The game seemed impossible at first, but i recovered from 4*4, which felt great!
Nice Puzzle Game! The moment i understood how to solve level 3 was really good - i really liked that idea! The music was a bit too creepy for my taste and I would have loved to have a bit more space, espacially in the earlier levels (it's definetly ok to have space as a constraint in level 4, but in level 2 i was still figuring out the mechanics) It also took me a while to understand that belts cannot cross. Highlighting pieces that prevent the placement of new pieces could make this more clear.
Nice game, i really enjoyed the silhouette graphics combined with the customizable background. I was very confused the first time i played because i accidentally built all of the buildings on the same place and clicking once did multiple things.
Nice! I was very impressed by the amount of different items and enemies you were able to put into the game! The inventory system and the reward animation was also very cool Some improvements to the core system, like effects when shooting, hitting an enemy or being hit (screenshake, particles, sound effects) as well as a better movement system and knockback could improve the gameplay a lot and make this a really good game!
I really liked the idea of having to assemble your body and the story as well as the minigames were fun. The graphics, humor and minigames reminded me of Undertale. I was really impressed by the amount of high-quality pixel art in the house but the minigames looked a bit lackluster in comparison. The stairs minigame was a bit hard but i eventually "mastered" it by constantly mashing all arrow keys :)
I loved the story, with cool backgrounds, characters and music - you definitely nailed Humor, Mood and Audio in my opinion. The gameplay was neat - it just sometimes felt a bit random and having a checkpoint at every planet as well as no visible death count didn't encourage me to get better, but just made me try over and over until I made it by luck.
Nice game! I swear the distances between doors felt longer and longer every time i restarted. This would usually be annoying, but here it just adds to the mood. I also quite enjoyed the pixel art as well as the music.
Fun little puzzle game. Some (minecart) sound effects as well as music and maybe particles could have improved the game feel a lot.
Great Job! You really nailed the Mood! I was a bit frustrated after the eleventh question, but I was even more curious to see, how many more questions there were. At around thirty I said to myself: Ok, if there are still more questions after 42, i quit :D The room-realted questions were the best - i wish there would have been more like this: E.g. making the lights flicker after the "Are you afraid of the dark?" Question.
Very interesting game! I had a lot of fun digging into the story. The time limit each day helped to show the urgency and made me try to type as fast as I can. Sadly I was unable to find anything new after a few tries very similar to what @bmacintosh described.
Some ideas for improvement: - It would be nice to always show the commands that can be used or add a way to exit the help menu and return to the previous page: I wanted to pick up an item, was unsure what command to use, typed help, then knew the command but was unsure what the items name was. - Auto completion for the text would have been super nice! - Maybe some type of hint system where you could get a hint on what to investigate when you are completely stuck would help to make it less frustrating after not progressing for a while.
Overall a very nice entry, good job.
Cool game. I now know, that i should never become a Taxi Driver. I had at least 3 car accidents and injured persons per day. The phone was a really cool idea, but sometimes a bit buggy.
Nice writing and graphics. Audio would have been great to further improve the mood. Having some more of the chess rules apply to make the gameplay more interesting. But it might not have fitted the narrative very well, i guess. All in all the parts, that you put the most effort in were extremely high quality for a game jam. Solid entry
I never had that much fun playing a LudumDare game!
The metal theme created a really nice mood and matched the fast gameplay and the graphic style extremely well. Defensive gameplay is rewarded the most, however - this does not fit the game very well in my opinion. Could be improved by e.g. giving the player a melee weapon, which also heals him, when killing an enemy successfully. Overall more weapons would improve the game a lot.
In total: Awesome foundation with a really good mood. Given some more polishing, local multiplayer and more content, this game could be a nice party game I would enjoy playing with friends.
Funny little game with cute graphics. By spamming shoot and walking straight up and then right to the exit, I was able to survive to Day 26 or something. I am still a little confused about how the day system works, however. Making the game turn based (Zombies only move, when you move) and giving the player a reason not to spam shoot, could improve the game a lot, in my opinion.
Also (for the 41c version too): Increase bullet size by at least factor 10: Unrealistic but infinitely more fun :)
Nice entry. The story was great and created a nice setting for the innovative idea. We spent quite some time trying to find a third "out of the box solution" ending. We had loads of innovative ideas and eventually even looked into the sourcecode, to see if there was one. - would have been the icing on the cake.
I took me quite some time to figure out, that I had to point at thing using the little arrow. In the menu, I thought that the arrow was meant to tell me to drag the card upwards. But after I figured that out, I enjoyed the menu and the game :) After two rounds, the game became rather easy. Making the game faster as you progress, would make it way better, imo.
Nice! I really liked the story and it felt great, when i finally found out, how to solve the puzzle. The ending really made me laugh! I liked the concept of using the menu as a tutorial. Changing the color of the portals, when you are near enough to use them and increasing that distance would have made them a lot more intuitive from the beginning.
