It's an interesting concept, but like most text based adventures of old gets a bit tiring. There seems to be a bit much back and forth. Still, it looks really interesting, and is certainly an interesting concept!

That goat is the greatest thing I have ever seen! While it was a bit tedious going back and forth between scenes it was fun and original. Great game!
Really good concept, easy to play, nice graphics and solid animations! Good job!
I really liked the game. The way it told the story was really amusing it's jut a bit sad that you have drawn some screen and some not. It would be interesting to see every place drawn. Also you it's sometimes hard to time when to click space. But all in all I liked your game. I also didn't finish it because I have no idea how to search her in the clouds. I even planted a tree but I can't climb on it.
Really cool concept! When I realized I had to jump back on the text to get the apple, my mind was blown. Reading about the world and its characters was fun.
I definitely would play more, but I had some issues: the text was hard to read (maybe add shadows?), and I filled the bucket with water for the soldier but it kept saying I had no water :(
Nice job!
Really fun game. Never seen before such nicely fitted combination of a platformer and text adventure game. The goat is just awesome :)
Good game! I love it! Good job!
I would love to play an extended version of it. Good Job. Feel Free to drop a review at our game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/boomball
Good game, very interesting concept !
One of the few games that really nailed the theme. I love that you can jump on text and interact with words. This is an amazing mechanic. The visuals are a little goofy, but it matches the story. Great job, Rated high on innovation!
I really like the idea of the game. One thing that I think could be improved is the portal system, it would be nice if you could use a portal when you stand on top of the text, instead of inside it. That is especially useful in cases where the portal is on the bottom line, such as in the apple tree scene.
Awesome entry! Spend a while trying to find how to reach the clouds xD
Liked very much the mechanics of having the text as a narration driver and path picker. Even though next time please don't make it red, my eyes are bleeding xDDD
The game is very complete and nice to play anyway for being a jam, and not an "arcade like" game like most of the games presented.
Also, It was awesome that the princess is the princess from the fat princess game, awesome game if you ask me xDD
Well done, Thank you very much for this good time you gave me ^^
A real treat this one. I can imagine the game is not for everyone but I could of sat here playing something like this for hours. A super take on a text adventure with a little myst thrown in, really superb. I can only imagine what a super polished, super graphical version with ambiant SFX (such as waves crashing on the sea screen) and gentle music would be like. Also infinitely expandable game, you could keep releasing new books as DLC. ooo.
I would also like to vote for being able to enter a portal from above it - my literal only gripe is having to fall through the text hammering space to make sure I get in. I laughed when I reached the princess. I had, I think unintentionally, managed to pick up the feces again and still had it when I reached her. So I threw it at her.
Nice! I really liked the story and it felt great, when i finally found out, how to solve the puzzle. The ending really made me laugh! I liked the concept of using the menu as a tutorial. Changing the color of the portals, when you are near enough to use them and increasing that distance would have made them a lot more intuitive from the beginning.
Really smart hybrid. Think it could suit an educational game very well!
Really interesting concept. Nice take on the theme. With some improvements, mainly in graphics, this could be a really successful game. Good job!
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional
