A fun game! It's kind of like a logic game - the challenge is finding the quickest way to get to all the enemies on time.

Great game! It took me a while to figure out how to properly throw the starfish, but once I did, I really enjoyed it! I managed to make it to the island!
Thanks everyone on the feedback!
Looking at the game in retrospect, @eerongal and @rinkuji right about the camera issue. I guess this is the kind of thing that happens when you've been developing a game for so long with no testers, you just get used to the "extreme" stuff with nobody to point it out.
The game resembling a Flash game is semi-intentional: I intend for my personal style to be a kind of modernized Flash look (though in this case, I failed on the "modernized" part).
The trick to getting past the enemies is to position yourself when the timer runs out where they spawn in a position where they can't get you as easily. I know it's not the best system, it's just one of those "first time" things.
@Rezioz The sensitive camera is a common criticism I've received, so it's something I'll try to avoid on future projects. The way you're supposed to get past enemies is to position yourself so they spawn in a place where they don't get in the way when the timer runs out.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
@shrillwhip I'll keep your feedback in mind when making future games! As for a face reveal, the alien was cobbled together really quickly so I haven't really decided what their face will look like, but maybe in a future game I'll create an alien character based on them :)
@aderpychickenstudios Thanks! Coyote time is something I'll consider for future games!
@ubershmekel Sorry about the hitbox issue, I'll take that into consideration the next time I code projectiles in a game.
@wouter52 If you're still interested in trying to complete it, a tip is to position yourself when the timer reaches 0 so that enemies spawn in a place that's not too intrusive.
Such a funny game!
I like how it takes something mundane - like working a 9 to 5 job - and adds RPG mechanics to it. A very unique take on the genre!
Great game! I'd say it implements the theme quite well, despite the description saying it "barely" does.
It makes me go bananas with how good it is!
Great game! I was amazed by how detailed the opening cinematic was, and the gameplay as fun too!
Great art! I can tell a lot of effort went into it!
I love the level design! It was fun to explore!
I loved it! The graphics are simple but they have a "retro" charm to them. My only complaint is the fact the game explains it works every 10 seconds instead of just the first time. That's the only part I would change.
Fun game! Very unique take on the theme!
This gets 5 stars in Mood. It blends together perfectly!
Best game ever!
I loved it! I played all the way through to the last level! There's just one thing though: I don't know if this is a bug or not, but when you lose one LARK, it blocks the others from falling, making it a bit too easy, especially on the last level where you can never lose more tha none. Apart from that, great game! When I'm done rating games, I might even play some more and try to win without losing a single LARK.
Great game, and a very unique way of implementing combat!
Great game! The graphics and audio mix well together, and the gameplay is fun too. This isn't about the game itself, but I think this post should have a screenshot or two. Some people might be dissuaded from trying out the game if they don't know what to expect.
This game seems to be all over Twitch. Props for great marketing! The game is good too of course, I love the audio in particular.
Of all the games I've tried today, this has the best mood of them all. The combination of art and music is perfect, especially for a Compo game with greater restrictions. The gameplay is fun too!
Great game! I would never have guessed this was someone's first Ludum Dare!
A unique take on survival games!
A simple but fun memory game, but as others have pointed out, 10 seconds is a bit long. This game might have worked better with a different theme.
A really creative use of the theme! It's a fun challenge of measuring distance in your head!
Great game! Only thing I would suggest doing differently is that falling off should automatically kill you instead of having to wait until the timer runs out.
Simple but fun! The only difference is I would have had moving be based on clicking rather than the W key. Other than that, great game!
A very fun game! It was a little unclear how to craft tracks at first, but once I found out, I really enjoyed it!
Fun game! I like how it starts off easy but gets more difficult. Also, good to see a fellow Unreal Engine user!
Great game, and the shop system was a nice addition! The graphics are also very polished for a Game Jam game!
It's a fun game, despite being a simple platformer. It shows that a game doesn't need to be of a rarely used genre to be good!
Fun game! Although it wasn't clear at first where I was supposed to place the flowers. I thought the blue things were just random obstacles. Maybe you should update the instructions to make it clearer.
I love the 8-bit retro vibe!
Really interesting take on the theme! It was a bit confusing at first, but once I understood what to do, it was fun.
Just so you know, the HTML5 version of the game is set to private. I can still play through the downloadable version, and I'll post feedback on it once I've played it a bit.
I played the game for a bit. It's pretty good, and a really creative take on the theme! I did notice one bug: if you select a building then select another, both of them get stuck to the cursor. Right clicking fixes it though.
Very interesting take on the theme. Instead of your space being limited in-game, you have to deal with the limited space of your own hands.
Good job on the dark and scary vibe!
@dhavavamba Koyote Time was supposed to help with the jumps, but it must not have been enough. The claws are for defeating the slimes that appear in the later levels.
@brainles etertainment I'll see if I can get Mac/Linux builds out, but since I don't have anything to test them on, I'll just be tossing them into the wild and hoping it works out.
@brainles-etertainment Sorry, cross-compiling to Mac isn't possible from Windows :( it may be possible to cross-compile to Linux, but that would require extra work which is beyond the scope of a Game Jam game.
Great game! Although the art style is simple, it's executed in a really stylistic way!
Great game that's not only fun, it also allows you to be creative with island designs!
Really fun game! I played it twice and as of this comment, have the high score!
My *only* complaint is that the player character doesn't stand out compared to the employees, and sometimes when I enter a new level, I don't realise where I am right away. Apart from that, I had a lot of fun!
A really fun puzzle game! However, there's a bit of a clash of styles between the game and the text screens. The text screens would look better if they were more retro to match the game itself. Other than that, it was great!
A really fun and creative idea! At first it wasn't clear how to control the walls, but after I found out I had to click the icons, it was fun!
Great game, and congratulations on succeessfully making your own engine!
A very humurous take on the theme!

Simple but fun! We can all relate to the struggle of having to save inventory space in a game like Minecraft.
Very interesting game! I would suggest making the birds move faster though, as I spent a lot of the game waiting for them to respond to the mouse cursor.
Great game! I had no trouble running the game like others have, although there was an odd glitch where the window took up more space on the screen than was available at 1920x1080 resolution. That was easy to fix by maximizing though.
Interesting game, and a very unique way to make it!
Really addicting game! I kept playing because I was determined to be the last robot standing. I eventually was, in 24 turns!
Great game despite the lack of graphics. It reminds me of the types of games that can bundled with operating systems back in the day.
It looks like you uploaded the source code instead of the game. You should fix this ASAP as not everyone knows how to just compile, so this could effect your ratings.
Fun game! Although the graphics are simple, they don't clash with each other and it works well as an art style. Good job!
A fun and challenging game! My only suggestion would be to have the score start going up a bit earlier, because at first I kept getting a score of 0 and thought there was some other mechanic I was supposed to use.
I love the cutscene graphics, they're very well polished for a Game Jam game! The graphics of the actual game are pretty good too!
Great game! I like how the difficulty builds up gradually, instead of just starting off really hard.
A great game and a fun challenge! It would be better if it automatically went onto the next level when you completed one, but that's a minor complaint since you can easily change it yourself.
Simple but fun!
