Really cool mechanic! Nice and intuitive, really well done!
As it stands it's a little too easy for me, but it's still a lot fun. You could increase the difficulty by having the enemies spawn a little more spread out. At the moment you can kill most of the enemies with one wall as they spawn. Also, the wand moving the wall is a bit overpowered. Making it simply remove the wall should be enough. Difficuly could also be increased by having the wand have a much longer recharge time. The sound design could also use some work, especially the wand - it's a little too high pitched, and could use some punch.
Otherwise the game looks really nice. Limited palette pixel art is the way to go in gamejams, and you really pulled it off. There's a lot of potential here, I hope your game does well. Good luck!

Well done! very nice concept :)
Pushing walls away is a little too easy. I did not know about being able to do that and could adavance to wave 5, and gaving to irrevocable sacrifice space for each attack felt really fitting the theme. It may be too much, but making reclaiming space harder could make game more interesting imho.
It took me a while to understand how to play. After that it became a fun game but a bit short.
Oooooh. I wrote a comment first, not understanding that the right click could be used clicking anywhere. I assumed it also required pressing the orbs. I also assumed the only way of killing enemies would be with the left click. With those assumptions the game was very hard, now it's quite easy.
Kinda liked the difficulty more before I understood how to control it as it produced a lot more stressful scenarios where I got stuck in small areas :P Really fun concept though! And well executed still!

Very clever use of the theme! Definitely took a little while to figure out how to last more than a few enemies but once I figured it out it was pretty strategic. I also liked the enemy movement during attacks.
Really like the graphics(especially player character)! Kind of wished that enemies couldn't go through walls. Also when it says "click the orbs to attack" my first thought was click the orb(s) coming toward me and when I had to right click instead to make anything happen I thought that was the correct action for a bit.

Cool game! I didn't realize I could move for a while, but that was mostly my own fault.

Nice and "compact" game. Took some time to understand the controls. Little tutorial before the game starts would have helped.
Overall I don't think I could play it for long but it's a decent idea, I think it could also do with clearer in game instructions in some way.
really liked this idea, super fun concept and the gameplay flows really well. the controls are super easy to pick up and play. Would like to see some more twists on the forumla as the game goes on, maybe some powerups or new enemy interactions to keep the game fresh during longer playthroughs. Loved the way you interpreted the theme its a super creative implementation

A really fun and creative idea! At first it wasn't clear how to control the walls, but after I found out I had to click the icons, it was fun!
Took a while to understand but provded to be a really good and minimalistic game. There was also alot of potential for expanding with additional development time. Great work!
At first i found the concept very clumsy but after trying like 10 times it was super cool to draw a pillar and smash it toward the enemies. Its interesting how fast it becomes natural and fluid. Well executed and nice concept!

@qayndecim I planned to add multiple enemy types (multi-segment worms, shooters, more bosses etc.) and also a whole bigger map where you would use your power to create paths to different rooms.
If it weren't for other things that I had to do this weekend, I think I could do these things at least to some extent.

Oh damn, this is very complicated, but too fun when you clap a ton of monsters in one sweep At first I was trying to survive without using the gun (I couldn't find the input for it).. it was not very good runs ;D

Pretty cool game, but definitely small. I like the concept but i feel like the gameplay could be optimized better (easier controls for walls, more feedback, etc)
This is an awesome concept and a mechanic that I haven't really come across before in a game. An excellent treatment of the theme, too! I love the minimalist art style - it's really well done. The game has a good level of challenge to it. Baiting enemies into position and then thwomping them with a wall is super satisfying. Really, impressive that you put this together in just 24 hours.
If you had the time, it would have been nice to have some music, I guess, but it is a great game even without it.
Well done!

Very fun game, very intuitive to play, very genius concept! Well done. The graphics and audio matched perfectly and brought me back to oldschool gaming eras (floppy games haha). I literally can't think of anything else to say, work of art right here. Congrats!
really good idea and execution. I loved it. this can be a awesome full game. You can add the feature to jump between spaces. One of my favorites so far. great job.

It took me a bit to really understand what was happening. I really like the idea behind the game mechanics!

Impressive for a 24 hour entry!
It takes skill to create something in 3 days but in 1? This game was very well scoped and executed for that time frame and I played multiple rounds to see if I can win without damage
Super interesting using the level as a weapon, would like to see this built out further. Felt like I lost a lot of ground quickly when playing, so I'm wondering if that's something that could be improved on. A great concept for the jam and keeps it well on point with the theme. Was simple to understand and felt good to play. Great work!

Fun idea! This is the first game I've seen in LD54 where you can use the walls to deal damage, and it fits the theme really well. Nice work on the art, UI, and sound effects. Would love to see more of this one if you decide to expand it after the jam!

Nice game ! It liked the concept it was fairly original, also the classic feel to the game is really nice, graphics are simple but they work well. It was a really cool project you put up ! :)
Amazing idea here, once I got the hang of the controls I felt like a bad ass defeating wave after wave of critters.
Hey! this was a nice little game. With a simple art style and controls, I felt you did a great job of creating a full experience with very few elements. I really liked the way you worked in the theme with the central mechanic and the balancing factors it placed on the gameplay.
Of course, more polish around animations and visual feedback for hurt states on enemies would go a long way, but I think the tweened animations and BFXR sounds carried the game a fair distance. You should be really proud, especially for just 24 hours!
Good job!
Man, it took me a second to learn everything I needed to (what damages you, how to delete walls, etc.), but after that I really had a great time with it. I wish there were some kind of music on top of your sound effects -- even something you didn't compose -- but other than that I have little to no problems with it. It's definitely a little simple, but I barely managed something fun in 3 days, and the fact you came out with something enjoyable in a third of the time is really really impressive to me.
Sometimes the enemy detection on the walls can be a little strange, but that easily could've been born of my own misunderstanding, haha. As Adam said above me, all this is really missing is more visual/auditory polish, and you'll be in great shape! I enjoyed my time with this one, see you next jam! :beers:
