Really pretty game!
Love the idea, love the control. Not clear how to win, and why I lose :)
@oznarox you loose when food drops to zero and win when population reaches 50
Very good game, I really enjoyed.
I didn't understand why I won. But nice and well executed concept.
Interesting gameplay! Would like to it to have any kind of sound, at least i didn't had any while playing.
A cool, contained puzzle! Would be nice if there was some way to edit the deck, but for 48 hours this had a lot in it! 50 population was easy once you understood how income worked.
Solid game! Wish there were more options for cards, would love to see this explaned after the jam!
I love this kind of realxing and funny games, it will be better with some audio!
really good concept but very easy to win. maybe be better if there were some sorts of enimies that would steal recources and pose more of a challange. over all a nice game.
Very nice looking game. And satisfying to build the island!
Its always difficult to say something when the game is good. So I would love not to write this comments, cause this game is amazing! The only thing that i didn't like is that the game had to end cause I would play it forever!
Super fun! I really enjoyed this - the art, the gameplay, the feel. You nailed it!
Love it, my only complain that considering the theme being 'Limited Space' it doesn't feel as limited as I would expected. You get more than enough land to place stuff on it. But honestly, great implementation of an idea, it works well.
This was super delightful, a quick and charming game
@lorddaniel yeah, balance problems with gold, inflation on the island is way too high)
The initial coziness of this left me unprepared: things starting to explode in very pleasing ways. A fun little sim setup you have here, which I'm sure you're already thinking about all the cool directions this game could be taken. Good work on the last 10% polish, the game is smooth and was a joy to sit and just play with.
I like your game, funny, interesting use of theme, good graphics...
If you develop more deep this game can be really interesting after the jam, now it's easy and need more balance (In my opinion, of course) I win at my first play!

Well done! Take your candy :candy:
That was cute as heck, loved the clean pixel art. Some pixel art seems to be a bit blurry. Could be a nice minimal builder with some more balancing and polishing.
Liked the art style(need to adjust your filtering settings) fun little game, could see this being a bigger thing with more content and challenges good job
The random picking of buildings is a good idea ! Nice tabletop feeling
However I got bad luck and never picked a house, so I got stuck during a lot of turns
the economy system is basic but rich enough to make the 50 people objective fun to play. Well done !
Really fun game, very chill. I loved the pixelart designs. It'd be lovely if it had some sounds or music. :) Great entry!
Nice game, well executed maybe missing a bit of challenge! Congrats!
I really liked the trailer.
that was nice and fun! I wish there was an endless mode, I was enjoying myself :)
Fun game. Would be nice if you had that trailer music in there as well. The assets are nice!
This is a great little game, amazing for the theme too! It's so satisfying and simple and just great! I cna't wait for you to add sounds and music, and maybe even multiplayer?? Great entry!
Love the game, I would have loved to be able to continue building after the victory screen
Nice and polished game, it's very satisfying to build up your tiny island . It's very relaxing, almost like a puzzle experience, altough I expected a bit more challenge. Basically, every move I do is benefitial in some case, I was never close to losing or making big bets. It really fits the theme :)
Fun game, it feels extremely polished! I think my only point of feedback is that I'd prefer if the chance to get a house card was slightly higher or if there was another card that gave workers, as I found those to be the limiting resource and once I hit 99 gold and food I would just end turn until drawing another house.
Loved it! Very cute graphics, and who doesn't love a sandbox :) I think it is a bit too easy, but it is a very pleasant experience throughout.
Loved the game, very peaceful and enjoyed the mechanic of using cards to build my island.
there was a similar turkish game, forgot the name :D Cool game, polished and enjoyable.
Loved the concept, it played very well, cool gfx but ... i won without any sort of effort/thought ? There should be more punishing consequence for placing things a bit randomly. Anyway congrats ! There is definitely a great game to be made out of this :)
Nice concept, beaten it with a chessboard pattern of houses and fields and some offshore piers Would've loved to have more types of building, but other then that - a very solid game, good job!!
Very relaxing. Graphics are nice and I think you did a good job adding 'juice' to the game. I also like how the island cards add a bit of strategy.
Great entry! The visuals are great, and the gameplay is easily understood. Well done.
Super polished game, esp from a solo dev! Really enjoyed the puzzle aspects of it :)
Very good concept! Honestly, a bit unclear what to do at the start but after a while I got the hang of it! It would be cool to see how you could further design interesting mechanics and have meaningful decisions to make
Very cool little island building game. Music and sfx would have been great, but understandable since it's such little time. Overall really good job!
Great game! I like the aesthetic and the cards feeling. I miss some music and sfx, and maybe some balance to make it a little more difficult, but the result is awesome. Changing few things I can imagine it as a physical board game ^^. Congrats!
This is a really cool entry and just the kind of game I would play more of, the content level is just right for the jam but would love to see this worked on more and developer into a bigger game.
A very nice idea, though mines genuinely seem a bit unnecessary and it would be great to see more buildings out there. Nevertheless, great job!
very well done, easy going simple rules. wishing for more :D
Looks nice, plays well, very relaying. Unfortunately no sound effects. A bit too easy. Good job.
really cool game. Well done!
its very rare to see a card based game in this jam at-least for me so far. Overall the concept is really straight forward and well executed. well done.
so great!!like this game so much,, wish there is more content of this game,,great at details and no bug,
Fun. It would be nice if it had some background music. I was playing this CC0 8bit song in the background while playing. Don't know if would fit your game.
https://opengameart.org/content/8bitmusic
Very nice game! It would benefit heavily from some track playing in the background.
Good strategy game! It fits the theme but it allows player to expand the space which in turn control the space could use. I ought to try this game again sometime.
I won, but I don't know why. The game is fun, I liked clicking on cards and building stuff. I don't think there's much of a challenge in it, or it's just me.
short and sweet game, I like it
Thanks for letting me play this! Excellent job!
Here's the VOD on YouTube to watch the gameplay, just skip to your chapter on the video! https://youtu.be/-eCnQ8GAhN8
Very awesome game! I how the mechanics of each card ended up working together, this felt like a very complete and polished game!
Really solid game! Very simple but fun to play, it's not too difficult but satisfying to setup, pretty impressive for a 3 day jam!
Lovely building game. The difficulty was pretty easy, which should be ok generally. Maybe it was missing some sort of a twist to make things more interesting? Also, I learned of the win and lose conditions from the comments. This should have been provided in-game, in my opinion.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my playthrough. Good job!
We had an idea for building an island-like building game and it's nice to see someone realise that. Game is pretty fun actually! I only wish it had audio/music. Could definitely see potential in balancing the game if you guys end up doing a post-jam.
Nice game with cute graphics.
Very nice! And kinda addictive. I liked the varying shapes of islands you can add, and generally the gameplay just has a nice feel to it. If I were to suggest any improvements, it would probably be to add a bit of challenge to the game, because it seemed rather easy to me. Plus till the end I had no idea what that second resource is about - neither what it represents, nor how I get more of it. I think I got more through houses somehow, but didn't really understand the pattern behind it. And finally, explain in the game the win/loss conditions. Still, great game, would love to see a post jam version of this!
I'm a huge sucker for any card-based game with a unique twist, so this is right up my ally! I think this has potential to be a fantastic little "idle-type-game-thingy". I'd love to see some polish stuff like small people moving around, animations to the buildings and environment and of course some sound! but I'd be surprised if these are not all things you thought of already  such is the nature of game jam time crunch!
Loved the buildable things as cards idea and that you had to drag them onto the island to activate them. Gives the player a little something to fiddle with. I didn't find the game that challenging but that didn't matter too much as I was having enough fun just building my little island!
Cool little building game. I got a few bad draws at first that prevented me from doing anything. But then when you have some "good" draws, the game seems a bit too easy. But apart from the inconsistent difficulty, it's a nice and well produced entry, I could definitely see it expanded with more mechanics.
Really enjoyed it and played through a few times! I didn't understand the food mechanic and how fields and houses work, didn't feel like food was coming in like I expected. I'd also like to hover over placed buildings to see what their effects are. And I'd like to be able to remove buildings.
You are up unto something here! Didn't figure out if I could indeed kill people - you lose when they all die, right? but they have food and shelter and don't! Maybe I didn't play for a long time? Anyway, nice game!
I really enjoyed the tile placement optimization! In the end i had like 120 gold. Reminds me a bit of Forager! Well done!
Easy and relaxing. Would have been better with some sounds and a relaxing music. Good job!
One of my favourite entries this jam, bravo! Plays very smoothly, the mechanics are clear, intuitive and fun. I wish I could have built my island more! I'll check out the post-jam version soon - I hope it adds more levels and challenges.
I found the drag-and-drop mechanic with the cards a bit pointless and annoying (why not just click or say, right/dbl click to cast), but this is my only complaint.
This was pretty fun to play! I wish there was some harder difficulty levels as it felt a little too easy to me to win on the first play through, but that is just a matter of tuning more I think. Definitely can see lots of ways you could expand this into a game that would be very popular if released. Great work!
Didn't read the description and was caught a bit off guard when I won lol. Great little game, would love to see some kind of endless mode for it
Pretty solid and polished game. I especially liked the sound effects and the ambient sound. Great work on that!
I love everything about this game. Even though it's just a jam it's still one of the best building games with card mechanic for me :D
A delightful little game-as I mentioned on the stream my only suggestion would be clarity on what raises pop count.
Levely Game, it's really funny to play and really simple to understand. The sound design is very satisfying !!
Love the style and art of the game. In my opinion, the loop is a bit lacking. The end turn function is a bit weird for me as you are playing alone. Each turn I got cards, witch I just used until I couldn't anymore. Then you click end turn and can play more cards.
I think indicators on the cards if you can play it would have been really nice (even like a border would have sufficed). For me finding which icon I was missing was annoying since you have to look up in the left corner and reference this with stuff at the bottom of the screen. Maybe the resources can be moved to the bottom too?
I found the mines confusing, it said neighbor, but what counts as a neighbor? Is it the 4 tiles, or the 8? This could have used some clarity.
I do really like the sound effects, graphics, and the overall feel and control of the game. Very nicely made within this time frame. The cards work flawlessly, which is a great feat in and of itself. Good Work!
No loose ends, no rough corners. The game presentation is impeccable, and the game itself is a genre mix I have only dreamt of coming up with myself! Loved it a lot.
This was so much fun. I think I'm going to have to go back and play the post jam version. I just clicked on it long enough to see there has been a lot of work already. Would love to see this fully developed.
This was nice! It felt a bit too easy to me, it seemed like I knew exactly what to do just from reading the cards' descriptions. Maybe the resources flowing in and out should be less static and predictable? I feel like this type of game can benefit a lot from harsh random events that kill 3/4 of your population for example, or where all your gold is stolen, to keep the players on their toes. It's definitely an interesting concept and I'd like to see more from it.
Very cool ! I love management games ! the wheat fields <3 <3
Everything is so good! It is absolutely necessary to continue it, I will follow you ! <3 can't wait to see what you do !
Too impressed by the proposed formula! (Me who loves Dice Kingdom)
做的好!让我看到了游戏的创新。很难想象这样的好游戏是在如此短的时间内被创造出来的。
I had a lot of fun with the jam version, but I was lacking a real challenge and won the first play-through - I'm looking forward to see more!
I didn't need to use the `mine` card's, but I like the challenge of the `island` cards being different sizes and not having the ability to rotate.

That was a lot of fun! I liked how minimalist the game was and how, despite the limited and simple content the jam version had, it forced you to manage your space with all the little adjacency rules. Incredibly addictive and has a lot of potential, well done!
Man, this game was a lot of fun, really enjoyed it! I love the pixel arts, they was drawn on a small canvas but did look really distinctive and stand out. The sound effects are really satisfying too, and controls are simple to follow as well. But in the Jam version, I was mistaking the worker icon for the gold icon, which confused me why I couldn't play a card even if I had enough gold, I'd like to suggest some sort of indicators on the cards about which resources you have enough and which don't.
Adding range indicators on cards like the Mine and Pier would be a good thing to consider in my opinion, because I didn't quite understand meaning of the "neighbor" in the Mine Card, or "surrounding water" in the Pier Card, what counts as neighbor or surrounding? Are they referring to 4 tiles adjacent to them, or do they count diagonal tiles as well?
Overall, this is a really nice entry with a lot of polishing, very suitable with the current theme, you did a great job on this one! I would definitely check out the Post-jam version later on, cheers!
Really solid game. I enjoyed both the jam and post-jam version, they play just differently enough that I liked both and would love to see both developed further. I especially like how quickly you can play the post-jam version - if you have a good streak going then you can constantly play cards as you're earning them and I love that I'm able to do that as the new cards pop up, it really makes me feel like the dev respects the player's time. Great work!
@vary Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate that you gave the post-jam version a chance!
This was a great little game. The art was great and I enjoyed the music. The controls were simple and easy to pick up too. I wish the cards were less random, I didn't get a house for over 10 rounds and almost lost on my first go for no reason. A little hover over on the stats and what they all do would help clear up confusion on what each icon is. But overall, this was a charming game and I would play again!
@mr-bluecap Thank you for your feedback. You can try the post-jam version, I tried to make it less RNG based.
What a cozy tiny game here, absolutely love it. I didn't play post-jam version, but even jam one is pretty well-balanced and requires some brain to play through. Well done!
Nice little game, very polished, cute graphics. But as others said, the card distribution is too random and there could be more variation over the time. Anyway, this is really a good basis for a larger game. I could also imagine it could be more interesting if the island could not be extended or if there is only a limited set of island cards that are known up front so that the player has to plan how to best use the limited space.
Amazing cute little game perfect for a short jam. I played both jam and post-jam version. Too easy for me, I wish there was more but it is jam game after all :D
Jam version feels like a tutorial to learn the basis of the game and post-jam version adds a good complexity and new mechanics to the game. Loved both.
Nice relaxing athmosphere and good sfx! Well done!

It's cute and pretty! It's a nice idea for the theme. It feels great to play. The jam version is a bit straight forward. It likes the new ideas in the Post Jam version, tho it's still lacking a bit of depth imo. Thanks for the game!
This is a really good entry! The presentation is very good, I like the pixel art and choice of autio a lot. It is fun to create optimal patterns of buildings. Great entry, One of those games where my only complaint is that I want more of it!
Really cool game, your cards are very attractively and they look great. The game is very interesting. Very solid in the idle games type. good job!
i always wanted to make a card game.. this one was really cool
I was a little frustrated when the house didn't come to me for a really long time... about 10 laps. then I couldn't build anything and just ended one turn after another losing cards.
I still won in the end and it was nice
This game is fun as hell. Love the simple art style, the card mechanics feel good, and it's very pleasing to build up your island. The pre-jam version is super easy, but that's something you can iron out in the time to come. This game loop is satisfying and addictive, you really should do more with this
POST JAM THOUGHTS: I actually don't like this one as much at the moment. I don't like how mines and sawmills are useless once they get built (?) I also really don't like how the houses and fields only synergies with themselves, instead of incentivizing you to place structures next to one another. Overall, the decision making in the post jam seemed less compelling so far. I like the addition of obstacles on the islands. Some of the island cards should come with obstacles preinstalled. Some of the buildings should be different shapes. You should check out the boardgames TINY TOWNS. I think It might really inspire you, as its about building on a grid, and has different buildings with adjacency effects that are all super interesting.
Definitely going to be keeping my eye on this one. Super fun.
@pen-island-games thank you for the detailed feedback. absolutely agree with all your points, but haven't come up with an interesting solution yet. will check tiny towns, thank you for the reference.
Great little town builder! Very polished. All the sounds and interactions felt really good. I liked the straight forward goal and how all the cards interacted with each other. The island building was also really neat, I like how it was different segments that could be arrange creatively instead of whole tiles. It would be interesting to see this taken further with multiple levels with maybe prepositioned obstacles and environmental effectors, maybe a light progressive story as you go through the stages or even an endless mode, more building types and some kind of tech-tree system. Minor things that could be improved, maybe some kind of highlighting to help indicator the benefits of each building as you're dragging it around before you place it. Anyway, enough scope creeping, great job!
I like the idea of combining card game and town building, it works really well. Had fun playing it!
A really fun city-building game! I liked how the island placement synergized with the different building types (e.g. using long skinny pieces for the piers), although by the end it felt like there was kind of an optimal strategy (criss-crossing houses/fields, diagonally spaced mines, and piers extending from the edges). The pixel art was really well-drawn, and the ambient ocean sounds made the experience feel very tranquil. Great work!
Wow this is so much fun! Awesome game! Totally would buy it if there is more maps, cards and maybe enemies or so! Than i could play that game for hours! Very great job!
This was absolutely fantastic, great entry!
The spritework and 'feel' of this are really impressive over such a short time.
Really beautiful pixel art!
