I loved it. Thank you!!! I will play it more to the end!
It was a really enjoyable platformer. The levels you have to go through backwards was a really nice twist. I encountered some collision bugs but nothing too frustrating.
The core mechanic is pretty interesting:) And maybe the sound of fireball guns is too loud
Wooow! It's awesome! It really has the mood of great old games!
Nice! Eerie feeling and well designed levels!
T_T i knew this was comiiiiiiiing... That ENDING!! T_T i knew it but i still went through hell of last 2 levels! T_T i cant remember how many times i died cos of hitting a spike with a 1px collision T_T
This is a pretty good game. The concept of losing more health as you go is also a very nice touch. I also like how you end up going backwards in the end.
I really like retro style games like yours. Great job!
Really cool atmosphere and polish. Great game!
That was a fun platformer. Some nice mechanics in there. I really liked the storyline you built around it.
Maybe reduced the inertia on the player but else it's a really nice concept and execution! (I hate the sound of the level restarting after death though x.x)
This might well be my favourite game of the whole jam, it plays so smoothly! Little details such as the player momentum, bounce physics and ability to play the levels backwards, it's all so cleverly done! Also, top marks for using Pico-8 (I did too!). Well done!
that's one of the best games i've played so far. really well designed.
love the way you've doubled the amount of levels by reusing the same ones. love the way you've increased the difficulty by taking out health. love the art and sounds and jokes. love the jerk devil.
well done :v:
This was a lot of fun! The climb up felt really clever, I really wanted to give you props for designing each level such that the space felt completely different if you were climbing up, compared to climbing down - That must not have been easy!
Fun game the graphics and sound are nice and the level backward at the end is a great idea.
Very cool, good graphics, gameplay, audio, nice use of theme and interesting story. Also really clever level design, I was confused at first why there is so much jump pads but when you go back it makes sense.
Excellent level design! Only a few things were slightly frustrating: the camera that does not go low enough to see some traps, and the general slippery feel. But once used to it, it’s really all right. The story itself fits well with the theme and the overall design, you really got inspired here.
I'm just awful at platformers, but overall a really fun game. Solid entry and I really liked having to go backward through the level again. Though I didn't get through it. Lol
Awesome platformer! I managed to finish - it was pretty challenging (but fair).
Challenging but correctly balanced, it's rare on gamejams, congrats! Very pleasant game, it plays very well.
Big thumb up for the graphics, they are very great :)
I agree with what others said about the level design: it's really cool that you were able to build the levels such that they each felt different when going down vs. up. Reducing the hearts was a good way to scale the difficulty as the game went on and the mechanics were learned. Nicely done!
The rhythm of the animation was great
Too little to late life, the feeling is very difficult
I hope I can adjust the camera, let me have my view of need
Really great game! I love its retro graphics, music and SFX. Good and challenging gameplay!
I really love what people can do with PICO-8. It still impresses me when i see new games with unique ideas on this engine.
Everything felt very smooth and the game flowed really well. I do think that the game could benefit from reducing how fast the movement is slightly.
Nice job!
