LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

ASTERION by conk 2018-12-03T22:15:15Z

an interesting entry.

the theme feels forced, because nowhere other than at the title screen, which i doubt a lot of people read.

but the gameplay is solid. feels good. - even though i've got confused by diagonal walls, i thought i can ricochet from them and like keep moving in a different direction. would be cool. but you would need a way to stop then mid way. - i also've got a bit frustrated because my movement speed while in charge wasn't much higher compared to those green peasants. so i've got into a situation where i kept charging for a bunch of those for a while. - also wasd movement doesn't make a lot of sense, since i pretty much always move by charging. there should be a penalty for using charge too much or remove the wasd movement at all

the art is also great. as well as the music.

great entry overall :v:

Down Below by NicMagnier 2018-12-03T22:46:42Z

that's one of the best games i've played so far. really well designed.

love the way you've doubled the amount of levels by reusing the same ones. love the way you've increased the difficulty by taking out health. love the art and sounds and jokes. love the jerk devil.

well done :v:

Monster Creator by Arcus 2018-12-03T21:50:34Z

well, i haven't managed to make a single monster. after going too far to collect more body parts i've got frustrated because of the slow movement speed. haven't figured out how the inventory works either.

music sounds good though.

too bad, could have been an interesting turn on the theme with monsters.

Making Ends Meet by agwblack 2018-12-03T22:28:19Z

i guess taking that mortgage wasn't such a good idea lol enjoyed the kind of dry humor on the game over )) fits the theme pretty well. :v:

_had some problems with text size (i saw just a blank page). got it fixed by reloading the page, several times.._

How to feed your dragon by Evgeniya Zapolnova 2018-12-03T21:58:37Z

that's an interesting entry. i've enjoyed figuring out the ways to spend stuff on the rolling thing. there's some kind of humor to it too i like which is supported by art.

a bit of a progression curve would make the game better i think. so you don't stress out at the beginning not knowing what to do. although there's something about that, if you know that you don't loose by not picking up coins :v:

Shooting Chickens by PxLucasF 2018-12-03T22:04:58Z

fits the theme really well. poor chickens

definitely needs a penalty for shooting when there's no dog. but other than that, i've quite enjoyed. with a bit more progression, would make a good mobile time killer for me. :v:

LD46 — Keep it alive

Holy Plague by Adrien Dittrick 2020-04-22T10:22:17Z

That's a quite nice game. Gameplay is smooth, has pretty graphics and sound effects. Fits the theme very well. The only thing I would tweak is to show the objective immediately because it wasn't obvious to me that you can shoot clouds on the 2nd day (but I also don't read text). Overall it's a solid entry. Good job.

Pirabbit by TimeTravelHamster 2020-04-22T10:38:22Z

That's a cute little game. I do enjoy these kind of bite sized games. Really well done. Graphics are great!

LD55 — Summoning

Cook From Hell by KirLosev 2024-04-18T06:10:07Z

Thanks @ungarblapp! The music is original by @statt

Hades' Haunted Corn Maze by Deruitda 2024-04-18T03:15:31Z

Huh it's a great idea for the theme to combine with tower defense. I'm geniuenly impressed! I've found myself just stacking a lot of ghosts at the end of the level but in a jam those strats are hard to id

Summoning Shift by Quinnster 2024-04-18T03:03:52Z

The game loop is solid: trying to strategize your movement and upgrades in the limited time is fun. The music and art also fit the implementation really well! Kudos!

Frame Wizards by AlezJL 2024-04-17T09:32:39Z

That's a neat puzzler! I've found it interesting trying to find explanations for going further. Having some kind of hint of goal would make it more clear as I found myself in some cases putting things randomly and then understanding what has happened. But yeah, good approach to the theme! Well done. I also liked that you've made different music for each stage

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Critter Switcher by torcado 2024-10-08T09:41:22Z

The game looks amazing. It's soooo polished for a gamejam game. I'm impressed!

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T04:58:43Z

Hi @imberny

Thanks for checking out the game!

Interesting.. You should be able to type values in here (see picture) with a keyboard. Could you elaborate what kind of issue do you have please?

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T05:02:05Z

Hey @mithoskuu Thanks a lot!

Yeah. A tutorial is a must I agree. I will add a text one on the page. My 2 am brain forgot to mention that the killer pixel is the one that has the most defects. You would need to check suspicious pixels by metrics against the Tech Specs you got in the begining and the pixel that has the most defects is the killer.

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T08:39:21Z

Hi @martta

Yeah, I can relate to the state of the mind after the jam  It's quite a blocker for a many puzzle games on the jam

Thanks for checking out though! Glad to hear it reminded you of such amazing games :v:

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T08:42:32Z

Omg, @prunus-padis, we actually didn't think of making it so that you need to fix all the broken pixels! That would indeed be a lot easier to explain and communicate

Thanks for the suggestion! Good thinking :handshake:

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T08:46:32Z

Hey @bumble, can you keep a secret? Tsss.. We only found the killer pixel once ourselves before publishing the game

But it's 100% possible to find it. A bit clunky and sometime values could appear like they are defective by being too close to the normal ones.

I'm not surprised that people have troubles staying profitable in the game

Thanks for the quality feedback!

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T08:48:40Z

Yeah @julester we were thinking it would be great to add upgrades to those modules/tools. For the scanner you could upgrade the speed and size of the area. But there's never enough time, right?

A bit faster in the jam build would be more comfy that's for sure though

Pixel Repair Agency by KirLosev 2024-10-08T09:05:44Z

Hey @stmatn I totally agree with you. We even had an info button on every module but had to rm them due to time. Gotta 100% have a proper tutorial and bring info back if we ever will push this game further.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Hope to see you jamming again next time :v:

Squirrel puncher by eerongal 2024-10-08T09:54:41Z

Well that was nuts!

Very fun game, Northstar upgrade is my favorite and made me laugh

Good times! Thanks a lot

Tiny meat boys by Byzilio 2024-10-08T07:01:41Z

Hi fellow jammer! I quite enjoyed your entry. It has a clever core mechanic and fits the theme perfectly. My mind quickly got filled with a suspicion that the designed could be explored quite a lot. Which is amazing for a puzzle game!

Right now I've found that I often could brute force passing levels by pressing right arrow and jumping. This got me bored after a few levels. But I think it could be improved with a bit of balancing when a game doesn't give you too many meat balls so you can be reckless, or by rewarding you with getting more meat to the finish line. I like the last option more, personally

Very nice entry  Good luck in your endeavours!

Cullbot 56 by GaryS 2024-10-08T08:28:14Z

For some reason the game got me chuckling to myself  It's something about the combination of a robot going on a mission head first, the sound of running over blobs and then shooting them. Made a moment of my life more cheerful. Thanks!

The only criticism I've got is that you don't really need a reason to not spend a lot of time collecting the creeters and then wait while holding the shoot button.

I could see it be a lot more exciting if I had a countdown timer to finish a level in. This simple change would make the whole game much more exciting. To me at least. Combined with interesting levels, maybe with elevated areas, it would force you to think strategically on how to best approach a level.

And then have a moment when you shoot enemies across the screen to clutch the countdown and would feel exciting if you manage to do so!

Maybe even limit the inventory space so you can't carry a lot of creeters at the same time. It would add to the game. I think.

I don't know what your conditions and experience are. But just something to consider as a feedback. The game made me have some fun and I love it for that!

PLEASE, GNOMORE by CyTheRabbit 2024-10-08T10:00:33Z

Sometime we all can relate to those gnomes

Made me chuckle when the group is walking all good and a bunch of them separates to mess up with a mushroom  So funny!

AntToTopia by Max0n4ik 2024-10-08T07:27:52Z

Didn't expect such a 3D game in a game jam web build. What a timeline we live in!

And yeah, just like for other folks, mouse not being locked prevents from fully explore the game. And judging by screenshots, there's a lot to explore!

Here's a little snippet of code I use to lock the cursor in Unity: ```csharp private void Update() { if (Cursor.lockState != CursorLockMode.Locked && Input.GetButton("Fire1") && !EventSystem.current.IsPointerOverGameObject()) { Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked; }

if (Cursor.lockState == CursorLockMode.Locked && Input.GetButton("Cancel")) { Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.None; }

if (Cursor.lockState == CursorLockMode.Locked) { var mouseInputX = Input.GetAxis("Mouse X"); var mouseInputY = Input.GetAxis("Mouse Y"); // get other input } ```

Thanks for participating! And wish you to make more games and see you in the next Ludum Dare :v: Good luck!

Nectarmancer by shamotte 2024-10-08T09:03:06Z

Hello fellow jammer!

That's a clever use of the theme! I like bees and how you made the cycle of life of a bee into a game like this. Controls are great, graphics are pleasant and consistent.

Very nice entry!

The only thing I didn't really understand is why my beehive got damaged over time after a wasp got to it.. But that's a minor thing.

Good luck in the future and I hope to see you jamming again!

MonkePok by LetsSnack 2024-10-08T07:57:28Z

Hah I got surprised by how well the idea fits the theme and allows for a quite a deep gameplay. I can see myself spending quite some time trying to optimize creatures!

Great job

The game is very polished for such a short period of time. And you have tutorials and stuff!

It really got me into the mad scientist mood. Got me thinking of Inspector Gadget cartoon

I wish the fights were more exciting though. Something you might consider if you decide to shape it up into a full product. It would make the game so much better for me personally. But for the jam, it's impressive what you managed to achieve! Kudos!

Follow ME! by OldToadPower 2024-10-08T09:37:15Z

Oh boi Very clever game and it fits the theme really well! I love how the game looks like and it plays great.

At first I was confused they don't follow commands but then I got into character and pretented they were clueless soldiers

Great entry!

LD57 — Depths

Gleaming Depths by Kurakurture 2025-04-16T14:59:03Z

I'm very impressed by graphics quality and the novel mechanic! The game feels punchy and satisfying to play. The can had troubles understanding the number is the remaining length of the rope (I thought it was how deep you were) and the way dice work as I didn't get that you need to roll a sum above the health of a fish. But then I got it and it went smoothly. I wish there were more upgrades. And it felt a bit too easy and the lack of the neccessity to get back to the surface made the gameplay loop vague to me. If I were to have a on oxygen tank that I need to re-supply and upgrade - that would help a lot. As an example. But overall a very good entry!

Europan Expedition by Liam 2025-04-16T14:29:03Z

I like the cosmic setting very much! The mood in the game is quite strong overall. Took me a moment to understand what stations do but after that the game loop felt and played really well and coherent. Keep up the good job!

Depths Sickness by Nilan 2025-04-16T14:09:08Z

Hi! The game is very interesting. After the first look I've expected gameplay to be something like Feed the Deep, but I didn't expect the turn based mechanic and was surprised how well it worked. It made me feel more like a strategy game which is quite an novel for such underwater setting in my opinion. Hexagonal map is also made the decisions more interesting and moment-to-moment gameplay more fun.

LD58 — Collector

Duck Hunters by KirLosev 2025-10-07T13:31:51Z

@infernalwolf08 hey thanks a lot! it's not meant that you get more ammo aside from one given at the start of the game. the intention was to get as many shots as possible with ammo that you have. thanks for checking out the game and taking a moment to give the feedback!

Duck Hunters by KirLosev 2025-10-07T13:33:20Z

@seven-z that's actually an impressive hiscore! usually we end up just shooting ducks and the forget to collect them
