Very polished and solid game, enjoyed it! Could be better in sounds aspect, I think!

Very polished and solid game, enjoyed it! Could be better in sounds aspect, I think!
Got to 82 ants, good idea, was really relaxing after working, I liked the animations, the progressive difficulty, and the music reminded of the first LD game of yours! Cheers!
Thanks for all your kind words!
Thank you guys, the floaty jump was an artists' choice, though maybe not very good one in terms of gameplay:-)
Nice atmosphere, although I totally missed why the girl ran away scared ("GASP"), because I didn't notice anything myself (maybe there was some monster sound too quiet, so I didn't hear it?). I find the controls unconvenient for 3D game (expected forward, backward, strafe), it would be nice to see more area at once on the screen, and probably some kind of minimap would be useful, because I was completely lost after opening about 5 doors. Also the phrase "the candle is no match for me" sounds like bad English:-)
Like the music/sounds in the game!
Took me some time to realize that I can also input variable names in the fields:-) After that I beat the game, most of the levels were easy, except the diagonal double stripe one, which was a bit trickier:-) Anyway, the game is very nice!
Liked the story and atmosphere aspect, the game hanged after dog and rats:(
Like the idea and graphics, wish there was more action in the game.
Simple gameplay-wise, but very nicely done in narrative and graphics! Wish there was some music in the game.
Creative relaxing game, nice job!
Enjoyed graphics and narrative! The second level was too easy, and the 3rd was kind of tough for me (luckily finished it too after many tries). Good job anyway!
Nice style and gameplay! Reminds of Galaga and clones! For some reason after failing the boss, on restart, the bullets of the boss continue to spawn in additions to the regular ones!
The idea is great! But I constantly run out of money, probably because the indicator is separate from the others, and so I forget about it :/
Thanks for the kind feedback! Does anyone else have problems on Chrome? THe right button works as expected for me in latest Chrome without extensions on Windows:/
No, there are no other objects, but you can try different tactics!
Where is the medkit?
Hey, man! I really liked the game, great that you can find the way around with the audio effects in the dark and not only by memory! This is now my favourite game this jam so far! Keys 14/14, feeling a hero after beating the last level completely with the screen off :D
But: - the controls are not very convenient, the mouse here is odd, only keyboard suffices (we made this mistake in a couple of games); - there is a bug: if level is finished with power off, the visuals show it as "off" in the start of the next level, but it actually "on"; - you can move some turns after the trap kills you.
Elegant game, liked it! 18th level is a tough one! And the music IMHO is not the best style for a puzzle game. Also sometimes controls stop working after level restart.
I think level 4 is too fast, stuck at the very start!
Welcome back!
Enjoyed the gameplay, and visual details are amazing!
First time enemy bullets appeared as pills to me (like powerup loot dropped), and I picked them up :( Also I'd appreciate more variated music than just the drums!
Nice start, but for the most part I tried to run from the ghost and had no time to do anything else. Maybe if I had a map, I could plan something to trick her and not get come up :D
Liked the gameplay and atmosphere. Didn't notice the effect of "shock" aside from visuals. Game supports WASD, but it's inconvenient to use the keys together with Z. Robots don't hear me when I'm running, so there's no big point of not running. Also after restart from checkpoint robots are not reset, and one robot blocked me at the right-bottom checkpoint, with no way the exit the room :(
Good job anyway!
Like the graphics style, I thought when played that lighting the bulbs was decorative and didn't drain power, so the power was never enough :D
Great idea! Want more levels!
Liked the sounds and atmosphere, except the phone, he is always holding it like a Pokemon catcher. After the battery is dead, it's bright enough, so just put it in the pocket and calm down :-)
Nice music and setting! I think it should be mouse-only without the guy moving. Also I would like the ability to sell the generators, and not just remove them with a click. :-)
PS lime.ndll is for -Dnext AFAIK, so you don't need both *ndll.
Liked the idea, I think the game is too easy, as one can just hide under the topmost roof and wait (until the next topmost roof), also some sound would be great!
My ending was "I should get a real job" :-) Liked the overall game, especially the phrases appearing, they make the otherwise boring gameplay more engaging. Sounds of blocks are annoying IMHO
Nice concept! I think it's not a very good idea to make Space a restart button though :-)
For some reason I choose a picture to upload in Firefox, but nothing happens
I wonder why in this jam again someone doesn't give rating in "Audio" category. As usual, it's made all from scratch without downloading a single sample from Internet (for sound; samples for music instruments are allowed). If you think it sucks, please explain here, why :-P
It isn't technically a rogue-like, but somehow this game made me wanting to create a rogue-like someday. Played the original build for a while:
Liked: - Music - Ability to visit rooms in different order - The idea of detaching parts like armor in RPG. Would be great to see parts not only used for shooting
Didn't like: - It's unclear when the door in the once-north room opens, several times it opened after eliminating the enemies in the room, but after a second it closed - Thought the big wing was for bumping the enemies with it, and the trick worked, but I lost all the lives - The life counter says 5, but I actually have 3 lives - The blur on particle effects looks out of style
Looks very cool, but I can't understand what is the goal of level with 2 green and 2 purple circles. I tried to guess the goal, but there a lot of combinations, and none that I tried activated the exit :(
@ncannasse : oh, thank you, now this is so obvious! The thing is I didn't realize that shining circles are items, and plain ones are slots, didn't even notice the visual difference :-)
Enjoying it so far! I think it would be great to rewind by just moving backward the route without pressing Space.
Nvm, it was actually a bug I think! I can't get back with arrow keys if I got a gem near the edge, and was going from the pit. But I still can with Space.
Nice-looking funny graphics! I think the death shouldn't be one-hit in this game, also I find the music kinda unfitting the art (sorry)
Enjoyed the 5 levels, was disappointed there are no more. Fullscreen support and a couple of sounds here and there would be great as well!
Took a while to find out how to start waves!
The style is rad, but I'm having a hard time figuring out whom I control. I found that guy, but when it's many of him, I'm confused again.
Enjoyed graphics, storytelling and voiceover! Second level was too hard for me, I think the ship should have more than 1 HP!
Looks like a better version of my LD39 game :-) Liked the save-the-gate mechanic! Found a cheating tactic of staying near the edge when you collected. Also I think it would be nice to have an indicator of like Iron 1/2, Gold 6/3.
Itch says "You don't have access to this page"
Loved the music and mood! Not a fan of chromatic aberrations, but I enjoyed the dance floor visuals! I think that the indicator in the beginning should be less hidden with semi-transparency and stuff though! Don't know how I feel about the player invincibility, it takes away the boss challenge, but as the maker of several too hard LD entries I understand that it's not that bad for the game to be easy :-)
Interesting mechanic, graphics are nice, but very the game was too hardcore for me :D Only got 7 packages delivered. Had to read very carefully what is the goal, but the main problem for me was the speed: most of the time game was in the state of 3 or 4 warning! :( As for music: I think it fits mood-wise, but is harsh and short, so it annoyed me.
Liked the idea and music and dude's poses! At first I was confused because headphones don't show what to press to buy it (after a while I deduced it from neighbour items). Then I could stay in the game longer and made a lot of money in the full dark. However in the meantime the world has changed, and I've realized I was getting attacked by a lot of weird things. :'D Then I spent all the money on new protections to no avail...
Although I'm not a fan of casual games, I think it can find its audience after redoing the art and adding some more polish. :)
Liked the idea and the ending music! Pity there were no imps in the game again :(
@mrjoshuamclean Didn't mean it as co-op game, but we were aware of this possibility all the way; Bernard even suggested to advertise the game as 3-player co-op (the third person reads dialogue xD).
Nice game, would appreciate game pausing at the start of each level until I click
Nice entry, guys! I struggled at start - though all movement is by clicking too (skipped the description, sorry), but then managed to understand - failed in pink level though, can't get the proper rhythm, and have no idea what it is (animation of other dancer doesn't help)! Like the music and humour, and how in this stealth game you also can use people as cover! :D
Nice, gameplay reminds of Rush'n Attack! Cool that it's possible to skip levels, but I'd love some checkpoints or medkits!
Great graphics, the gameplay is a bit boring for me because of having to wait for icons to disappear, also the fact mouse controls both X and Y axes aiming was unexpected at first (thought that you just shoot forward independently of Y mouse position)
Not sure why you opted out graphics category?
Funny, Portal vibes! :-)
Had a little audio clash bug where I clicked the monitor before intro speech ended (also when choosing answers too fast). Also table is too shiny and is same color as floor, so they visually merge.
Would be nice to have a longer dialogue with AI. Is "game over. thanks for playing" the winning condition or there's another one? Is there any other activity available besides talking? And what does "Mode: Distance" mean?
Enjoyed the game, beat all the levels, it could be made potentionally longer, because currently it introduces a new mechanic almost every level. Graphics are cute, but controls are bit clunky for the platformer part. Liked the ending conclusion ;D Great job!
Finally got to try it a second time, liked the atmosphere overall and music, though nothing interesting happened with the crew, landing and dollars are pretty much useless in jam version at least, actions are annoying in text (I'd leave only dialogue in text). Also I observed that it's kind of real-time, but time indicator only updates when moving through action menus...
Good job, after avoiding a couple of gangs and visiting a couple of planets leaves the feel that it's an infinite game (probably it is)!
Neat little game, great visuals, indeed incompatible genres, sound is a bit loud, and the possibility to heal would be nice to see!
Funny little game, for some reason on my first run I couldn't select hamburger, only hotdog and pizza, but restarting the game fixed it
Liked the graphics, music was nice too, but a bit repetitive. The twist with fighting was fun (though kind of late in the game), but the fighting system itself was pretty easy, I realized that it's easier for me to just ignore enemies. I thought about surrendering intentionally, but the game started lagging (web version) because of enemy count :D So I lost the game shortly after that. My result was 37-138-459.
Other things annoying me were: 1) Often accidentally grabbed the wrong second item from shelves (because wrong one was next to the first item) 2) Customer indicator only shows 2 items, even if customer wants 3 - which resulted in drink items suddenly disappear from my tray (seems like actually they were requsted by customers, by not shown). It was confusing because I thought at first that enemies were beating items out of my tray :D
I like the idea of trading between shmup levels, but spending a potato each shot makes shooting kind of pointless :/
Great graphics, too bad you only get one hit point... Also sometimes it's not obvious which objects are currently on straight line.
