Lol, reminds me of the mouth level in the old ren and stimpy game, love it
Awesome! Feels really juicy and I love the feel. If you decide to continue work on it, it would be a refreshing 4-player fighting game.
GREAT! this is awesome! i really like different combo style action type games and this did it justice. i love the music and all of the sounds. and the way the enemies fly away when you hit em with a good uppercut. it really felt like i was beating the shit out of them ha. and i swear the sound when you do the down+z or up+x attack is JUST like the flying knee attack from double dragon II on NES. you got some good game feel going. i would have liked it if the player could take damage from enemies. being invincible takes a bit away from combat. and enemies spawned endlessly so eventually the screen is just full of them. but those 2 things are completely acceptable this being a game jam and all. really great job, this game reminded me of all the old NES action games i love so much.
Funny game idea. I love that the main character is using a toothbrush to fight. The art is really nice and the music fits the game. The z and x keys were a little bit far away for me, but I am using QWERTZ keyboard, maybe using y as an additional key for z would help?
Overall, I like the game. Keep it up!
-According to theme the game is awesome - artwork is very good
Cool Concept. I really like the art and the sounds. Also the effects are great, good sense of weight to it. My biggest issues are that I essentially lost the first game before I figured out what the controls were. I wasn't expecting znes controls. Also, the controls feel very difficult. It is hard to hit where I want to, and often I hit the attack button and don't swing, cooldown or something. Still, it's a fun game and with some polish to the controls and a bigger move set it could be quite fun.
Great lil game, would have loved to see some levels/progression beyond just a score attack. That being said i can see where you choose to spend your time, you have an impressive array of moves and the final product is testament to your time management. In my opinion you made all the right choices here, great work.
I had the same problems with the QWERTZ keyboard. The artwork is funny and fitting and I like the concept. Nice game.
A game in a mouth like mine. I just can say great theme use.
Good job on art and gameplay.
Maybe monsters should attack only healthy teeth to avoid cheating by protect only one zone.
Awesome take on the theme, visually stunning. Core mechanics work very well, audio and visual feedback make the fighting satisfying. Progression (decaying teeth? :D) would have rounded it even more. I'll also sign up for QWERTZ support. :P
In hindsight I would add QWERTZ support, but I feel updating my game post-jam would be cheating. Sorry.
I like those fluid mechanics! But is it just me or are those controls a bit weird? I got used to it quickly though.
its really satisfying to knock away the monsters! After i figured out the different attacks it was great, loved the art as well! I think the monsters should focus more on the healthy teeth since i was able to just defend one tooth and do pretty well.
Really nice artwork and animations, with some satisfying combat. The enemies did bug out a little bit sometimes (falling through the floor and hovering in the air).
The combos were a nice touch and the moves all felt different enough. I think perhaps health bars would have been a good idea so we can see which moves do the most damage, but then again it might make the screen a bit cluttered. Anyway, great job :)
Has a Battle Toads feeling in it, very nice! Though I sucked in the game because I hate combo-driven gameplay (except maybe Magicka)
Epic. I love it. Amount of attacks is perfect and it's playing like highest-quality beat 'em up.
Movement is a little too "smooth"? I feel like skating a little bit. I have some problems with controls feedback.
I agree it's got that battletoads feel, I was almost expecting the third combo hit to be an oversized toothbrush slap
great stuff
Had just the right amount of responsiveness for a game like this. It was a nice touch to let the player try out all the different combos before starting the game, although it might have been nice if the game had a ramping difficulty, allowing the player to try the combos on live enemies without much risk.
Overall very high up on the list of submissions this time around
Character animation is great! Also his concept is very original - such a brutal guy with toothbrush. The lack of the third kick in combo was unexpected every single time, but still it was great to kick some monsters. Also it's sad that the hero doesn't take damage - because of that the game have cheap way to win - just stay at one place and press UP + X But still it was fun. Really reminds something from 16bit era because of controlls.
Very nice style you've got going on. Graphics are simple, but consistent and the audio is well done. My biggest issue is with the controls of the game as they are very unforgiving. The plaque (plaques?) have a very short period before they rot the teeth and some (the jumping ones in particular) are rather evasive on top of that. Combined with the long cooldowns on most of the combos, this makes for a particularly challenging experience. My suggestion would be to perhaps tone down the cooldowns and increase the period of time before the plaque rots the teeth, possibly ramping up later in the game (for a more gentle learning curve).
Very fun mini game! I really liked the audio and the graphics. I had a fun time playing (even though I wasn't very good)
Very funny! I loved it.
Neat concept for the small world. The game was nice but I felt like the controls could be tightened up a little bit, having even a little movement control while attacking would be nice. The music and audio felt like it fit well.
Overall I had fun playing, nice game!
I like the way you fit the theme! I had a lot of fun playing it

Great polish, would have loved levels or bosses.
@anim-ace, nice game! I had fun playing it!
Fun little arcade game! Impressed with the smoothness of gameplay. Top notch stuff!
Awesome moves, combos and music!
Great work, man!
took a while to figure out controls (like more people said) turns out they were in the bottom left of the screen the whole time
Fun little interactions, but feels a little unforgiving at times for some reason. Maybe it's because the hits and button presses feel a little disconnected, I don't know.
It was a lot of fun to play and the music was spot on!
It's that I'm at work rating games, otherwise I would've played more.
I think it's worth polishing up, you already have the combos and interactions down. Only thing left is "game feel".
Hahaha really liked the theme, and the combats feel nice too.
HAHA, it's really interesting. I really enjoy the "retro" style and the idea. The sounds are really good!!
Nice game, had a nice complete feel to it. Would appreciate if you could play my game (I need some ratings).

Great job.
Really good funny game. The only thing it just reminded me that I have to see the dentist. :scream_cat:
That was a really fluid beat-em-up! Graphics and sound were great. The controls worked well, and I didn't have any trouble controlling the character.
Overall it's a really hectic beat-em-up, and I had a blast playing it. Keep up the good work!
A mouth's a small world of bacteria. Nice game.
yeeeees I am totally getting Ren & Stimpy feels and I LOVEIT! haha this game is great, polished and complete, you should definitely be proud! No complaints, A++.
