Great little puzzle game... would like to be able to pick up and move bugs after i have placed them, would negate the need of a "reset" button. I just have one question, why are we putting the bugs under the foot? Seems a little macabre... poor bugs.
Oh wow, we had such a similar idea when we did or brain storming early on. Glad we didnt pursue it, you would have put us to shame. Seeing some of your solutions to problems we had in our early design phase was very educational. Nice job!
There is potential here for something realy fun. You just need to communicate your goals better to the player and increase the kind of random events. I enjoyed the rogue like structure of the events, but not being able to upgrade or buy more workers when i needed became frustrating... just felt like i was running out the clock until i could get another worker. Giving the player the option to always buy/upgrade would make the resource management more meaningful. Right now you have to wait for a random event to make any decisions, as a result it feel arbitrary what you choice to do. That being said i played all the way through to the end, something satisfying about wanting to see what happens next... even if there are relatively few events. Good job on the game play!
NIce start. I feel you with timings on these Dares. Thats why scope is so so important... You should be proud of what you managed to accomplish. With some time this coulD be a fun little game. You do need a menu or a restart button as i managed to get stuck under a tree and didnt explode.
Interesting mechanic and a bizarre mood (in a good way). You do need to work on your input and feedback loop, wasnt very clear when i ate or got hurt. Also your controls are very floaty and jumping earlier on results in you almost floating off. With alittle extra time and polish this could be a real gem. Keep up the good work.
Great little experience. Scoped well, but would have have liked to see more... was just getting into the story and atmosphere and it was over.
Great little game! The tutorial is a great feature as well has having fresh inviting graphics. Enjoyed my time with it, though i found myself not moving and just blocking with the shield.
A solid little game! Good concept, good execution, solid work!
Fun little game, the wind up on the cake is a little long for my personal taste and hurts the pacing of the game for me and the controls feel a little stiff for lack of a better term. Graphics are beautiful and fun! With such beautiful art and mood/sense of place i kinda wanted the game play to be a little point and click adventure, i wanted to explore and interact with he world.
This is a great prototype. You should defiently spend some more time on it. Add some "juice"! Screen shake/ partical effects and a thumbing soundtrack! Great work for a COMPO entry!
Feels very random, is there anyway you could telegraph or hint the enemies movement to add some skill to the game?
Really great job for your first ludum, almost feels like a board game.
The basic concept/gameplay is there, but i think you need to polish and to rework the UI. Its often easy to not budget time for stuff like that in a comp, but it can make the world of difference in the end. Overall nice effort and you should be proud of yourself!
Great little experience, almost meditative. Amazing polish and scoping, you guys should be very proud of what you have made here! Nice job!
Great first game guys, keep pushing yourself and you could go far!
ps. wouldnt mind a little more control over my character, maybe the ability to swtich directions once per platform? Just a thought as i find i might not be abe to take a shot before being killed.
Gorgeous Graphics. Was missing some of the juice and polish in the game play that is present in the visuals. Maybe on your next ludum you can focus on gameplay as you clearly can make beautiful games already.
Nice little game, some variations in the mini games would be nice and perhaps a ramping difficulty too. You set such a great mood.
Thanks Zeriver! you can actually scroll up and down the twitter feed if that helps.
Thanks Anim_Ace, that is a known "feature". We will deploy a new build to fix that. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you to each and everyone one of you for giving us the feedback you have. It's nice to know the humour we wanted to project was well received.
There is a fresh build waiting for quality assurance that will address "bombing the USA bug". As soon as that is uploaded to itch, we will comment here.
Why do you all want to bomb the USA?
Thanks for the feedback Kodi, your not wrong about the Carmen San Diego reference, was one of the touch points we talked about. Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks Gris Timer is an interesting idea, could be combined with Kodiqi's idea of multiple cities to create a "survival" mode.
Thanks for your in depth critique Caryoscelus. Glad we inspired some food for thought. For a little context, we are not American, wonder if that changes some of your thoughts. We satired the perception of America and how the current president embodies all the negative stereotypes that have persisted about America since the Bush administration.

Oops
Great lil game, would have loved to see some levels/progression beyond just a score attack. That being said i can see where you choose to spend your time, you have an impressive array of moves and the final product is testament to your time management. In my opinion you made all the right choices here, great work.
Great little game! Very clever idea using the globe as an endless runner level, as the globe gets smaller it naturally ramps up the pace of the game... beautiful art too! Would like to have seen some randomness in the globes breaking apart though. Overall great game.
