looks great!
Great use of the theme! Liked how the difficulty came from how fast I could control the airports.
At first I was wondering How were you going to raise difficulty and match the theme. Not only you did that but the game graphic and performance is very nice! Congrats!
Still, love that night/day globe effect! I couldn't figure out after having few airports to manage. Where to see what the current flight plans were for the planes. Also, what were my upgrades doing? It's really beautiful to just sit there and watch all the planes fly around the globe. It felt very aline. Great work! An excellent achievement in the time given!
Thanks for the feedback guys!
@draperdanman - as for the upgrades, they allow you to up the amount of stops in a flight plan. By default, you only have two and with the upgrades you get 3 and 5 stops. You upgrade the planes by the circled up arrow button, and edit/view the flight plan with the edit button, next to the respective plane. I'm really really sorry, we should have communicated this better to the players - this was a major oversight on our side. :(
Nice graphic .. performance consuming ...
Well done !
In the first game, I was lost, didn't know what to do. The controls could be more straightforward. Anyway, I enjoyed it, since I love Mini Metro and it would be great to have something like mini metro with aeroplanes. Good idea!
This looks and feels really really great. I only wish the globe could adjust spin speed based on mouse speed because scrolling all the way to Australia from UK takes forever. Is there a way to fast forward this transition in game already? Also, not sure if this is a bug, but after 3 runs I suddenly cannot apply upgrades and add nodes to flight plans without deleting the plan first. Great game, definitely keeping it! :)
The globe is super pretty. It took me 3 or 4 planes in to figure out that i had to click the note and then pick my location spots and then activate the route. Aside from that, it was pretty interesting. Well done!
Just finished playing your game and the graphics is stunning. It is true that it took me a little time to figure out what to do and where to click, but all in all, really good idea that fits the theme! :)
Congratulations on this game! It's really a peaceful game that calmed me. The feel is great. The visual identity is cool, I really liked the day/night look of the globe and its control was satisfying, good job. I couldn't figure out what my upgrade were doing tho, and also congrats on the "!" button that focuses on the airport, really useful feature
Amazing model you built here. everything about the day and night to the actual globe itself is well designed!
I'm not sure if removing the tutorials was the way to go. I did figure it out eventually, but I think tutorials are inevitably the best solution, especially when you're trying something different than your general platformer.
Good job nonetheless, I enjoyed playing it!
First thing I noticed is that the game looks fantastic. However I was very confused when trying to figure it out at first. I know you tried to make something that didn't need a tutorial, but it would have helped a lot. After I figured it out it was fun and I liked the game, it was very creative.
This game looks absolutely beautiful! I like how the camera rotates around the globe too! Feels very good to control. Great job!
This was pretty fantastic. The scoreboard got me into a heated rivalry with my far more talented friend and I am now pretty steamed that he did better than me.
I will rate the game down 0.5 stars out of pure indignation.
On the other hand, it's certainly the most enjoyable strategy game I've played so far on LD.
Unexpected take on the theme. Good job!
Neat little game. As others have said, the visuals are fantastic. I also find the gameplay pretty fun, it's cool trying to find efficient routes. I wish there was a little more feedback on how you're doing, though. The first few games I played, before I understood how the game worked, I didn't know I was failing until I'd failed.
I found using the mouse pretty awkward. I expected a click and drag interface, as in I'd click on a point of the earth and drag it to the center and then I'd be looking down at it. Instead it had that messy panning system.
This was pretty cool! A bit difficult to figure out, but by the end I was having fun and having my planes zip around the world.
Enjoyed it! Reminiscent of Mini Metro. Wasn't sure if certain passengers had certain destinations or what; wasn't clear why some ports were apparently suffering more congestion.
Not sure where the problem lies, but the globe doesn't show up on ElementaryOS; the background is just a gray area. I'm using the latest stable nvidia drivers (387) and haven't had any graphical issues with other games.
This game looks absolutely amazing and was really cool. While it took me a bit to learn the mechanics I really enjoyed the game.
Hey I actually made it to the top! https://www.dropbox.com/s/h8wvbp114mjn8sf/AirPressure.PNG?dl=0
Interesting game. Pretty nice visuals except for a little blurry Earth texture when zooming in. Music is somewhere in the middle between relaxing and somewhat even epic.
As for the gameplay at first for some reason I thought that planes with zero level arent actually available. And the funny thing is that the first time I reached the higher score than the second and third time despite me finally realizing that all the planes are under my control. Whether or not you are going to have a pretty easy or hellish run is highly dependent on rng. One time I got all my airports grouped up nicely in one place, the other right of the bat I got airports all over the globe. The difficulty ramps up too fast for my taste. One moment everything is ok, but seconds later you got a dozen of new planes, even more airports and the existing ones are all red and the people there are rioting! As for me I would prefer it better if it was more of a slowpaced puzzle and planing game.
All points considered it is a fun little game with a nice incentive of getting a highscore (which I got, yay!).
A very nice looking game, but while the stars spinning around with respect to earth was realistic, it gave me motion sickness.
The game looks really great! I read the instructions of the game but still struggled with why i suddenly couldn't plan new tracks anymore. Overal it looks great!
totally different from anything else i have seen so far. good job
great job, i wasn't expecting to see something like that..the idea is really cool, the graphics too... nice!
Pretty well done. I would recommend adding some way to alert the player to new airports opening up. I didn't realise there was a new one half aroound the globe until it was too late. Otherwise, great work.
I couldn't figure out how to play it, and would have appreciated a tutorial :(
But it looks awesome. Graphics are really well done.
Nice game you have here. SUPER WELL DONE!
Come check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
I managed to score 120 I think, more than that, I died. I had planes going between airports but they were turning yellow and red anyway, did I forget to do something?
I love the Moon and stars and the render overall :) The UI is also OK for such a game.
At first I was really, really confused. After a game or so, it made so much more sense. A little bit of tutorial would have been helpful, though it wouldn't need a full one, as a lot of it is definitely intuitive. Overall, though, very enjoyable game. Looks good, fun to play, good difficulty increase.
Cool earth-scape, gives a nice playing ground. Some explanation ingame would have been good as to what the colors mean, what we are doing (transporting people, cargo, pingpongballs?), and why.
Did have to figure how to charter planes, an single overlay with description of what is what at the beginning of the game would have been nice.
Sorry, i didn't understand how to play, and why you loose. However it is really good looking and concepts beneath seems to be interresting.
Your game looks great! Its very well done :-D Good job
