graphics are great and the physics are really cool!! my driving is bad ): that bike goes too fast!
This was so cool. I loved the art, atmosphere, ambiance, music and so much more. I struggled with the controls but I'll chop that up to my cruddy Boot Camp computer. Please do more in this style; I'll be following your future games!
Absolutely beautiful graphics, and great gameplay overall. Too many cars can destroy you, which fits the theme perfectly. Very well done, I enjoyed the game very much :)
The physics in game are insane, good job, about the graphics and Post Processing i don't even need to say, it's fantastic, great work on this game.
Wow, this one is quite polished. Like the consistency of the style, sound effects are nice. Now I just need to get used to handling that bike!
This one is the best i've played so far! Everything is good! Addictive gameplay, Awesome music, super Retro wave graphics... haha i've seen some of your posts during the jam, some kind of a train evolving in a labyrinth, it has became great. My congratulations, Awesome game.
Great work! Graphics and Audio are impecable for this one. Gameplay is pretty fun but I wish there was a way to throttle/control velocity (especially when using a controller). Also the time runs out pretty quick if you get unlucky with your destinations. Overall really professional polish, great work!
Really well polished, great art style too. I replayed it more than a couple times. Might have been fun to have a few bigger open areas so not every corner pin turn.
2017-12-05 15_06_41-2017-12-05 14_54_41-Drift Punk - 画图.png This is rellay awesome, the unique aesthetics and the wonderful electronic music all very attractive and all let the whole experience fascinating. I can't stop myself to enjoy the life in the cyber-world as a resistance driver
Nice game! Reminds me a lot of Crazy Taxi and I love being on leaderboards! Might have to try higher scores later.
What an intro!
Presentation on another level.
Music pumping. (Although mine didn't play until my second life).
Great world design. Traffic worked great.
Third person camera done without a hitch
Would say that the hover bike sound effect was a bit repetitive, could use some gearing, but that's a nitpick.
AND LEADERBOARDS!
Will be recommending this! :)
Playing it was lots of fun! Theres some weird bug tho, sometimes when you lose one of your trailers before fully filling it you dont get any destination but also cant pick up any more people
We just pushed an update fixing some bugs :)
@lamossus that bug should be fixed now. Thanks for playing and for reporting us the problem :)
Very fun and challenging, loved Crazy Taxi and this concept is similar but different. The graphics and audio are really cool, retrowave FTW.
As a fan of Crazy Taxi, this game made my nostalgia meter break. I just can't believe that this can made during a jam, it is so great and the city is huge. In addition, I like the idea a lot. Awesome work.
Holy heck the production value on this is insane, I can hardly believe this was made by one person in 72 hours.
Polished all the way through, love the graphics, presentation, but uhhhh, not quite optimised enough... I went to the lowest resolution, lowest detail and it still lagged enough to be really annoying. I might not have the best machine but one shouldn't need one to play a game like this.
The controls feel a bit too sensitive? Or just not tight enough. Turns are too tight and there's not enough fine control to manoeuvre satisfactorily.
The health system is a mystery - sometimes I crash once and game over. Sometimes I crash a couple times and nothing. Sometimes I head-on crash and nothing. The health meter is hard to read. The difficult controls combined with this unforgiving and mysterious health system means it's quite difficult to build up speed and feel awesome.
The vehicle doesn't handle with enough nuance to feel really interesting. I think that's a big issue. Drifting and driving over stuff and trying things knowing the controls allowed you to was a big part of crazy taxi!
@tuism like you said the game has a high production value and that can't come without needing a somewhat powerful hardware to run it. I don't know your specs but we haven't had any problems on any of our computers but yeah, you're probably going to need a decent CPU and a dedicated GPU to run it. We didn't had time obviously to optimize it like we would do in a comercial game.
Thanks for your feedback :)
Wow, this game is great, it could be on consoles easily. I'm not a fan of racing games, but this one is fun and I loved the atmosphere.
My god ! This game is absolutely amazing! You make a great job ! I don't know what to say more.
WTF??? You did a f***ing Taxi Driver in 3 days! xDDD Take all my money and give me more!!!
I'm sorry but I'll have to give a 5/5 to most ratings. This is awesome! How the hell did you achieve such level of polishness, beauty and solid gameplay in such a small amount of time?
The game is fun, graphics are aesthetic, music is catchy, sound effects fit with everything else, I'm truly stunned by this. Fantastic job, keep it up!
Incredible aesthetic. I feel like the difficulty spikes at around 3 trailers and then starts getting easier, but that's a minor issue.
Currently trying to break top 20 cause this game is so addictively entertaining! I love the art style and the controls, albeit a bit touchy, feel really good! The concept is also really fresh and original, given the theme, and I think overall, you did such a fantastic job :D
A couple notes:
-The waypoint navigation arrow feels a bit sudden, so I'm constantly missing turns and going the long way
-It would be nice if the dropoff zones didn't only detect the leading car, so we could kinda fishtail one of the back cars into it and keep going. I believe this change would help the pacing a lot if you plan on developing the game further
-I ran into a really pretty bug where I fell through the map and got to see this whole purple space with green streaks of light in the background lol. I think I might be able to repro if you want, but it's honestly fairly hard to put into words:
DriftPunkBug.png
I love this game though, 10/10!
Edit: I especially loved that bug because purple & green is my favorite color combination! <3 Oh, and don't mind my girlfriend there in the screen-cap reading Goblet of Fire :P I hope she doesn't mind lol
Edit2: Just ran into another moment where I was sitting right in front of the dropoff zone and the nav arrow was pointing the opposite direction, but I didn't have time to screen cap it :P Another note would be to enable an option to restart (hitting the back/select button on controller or esc on keyboard), that way you wouldn't need to give us a pause menu — which would be super exploitable in a game like this!
Edit3: Last one I promise! Just noticed that a lot of cars keep randomly disappearing! This actually worked in my favor, but I doubt this was intended as a feature ;)
Edit4: I lied :p Just broke into Top 10! (#9) Having so many cars felt like both a dream and a nightmare haha! Might've done better had I not stopped to take a screenie
DriftPunkFun.png DriftPunkScore.png
I have plenty more LD games on my playlist, but so far, this one takes the cake for me! I can't wait to come back to it; definitely a gem on my hard drive I will cherish for years to come!
Edit5: Now that I think of it, I felt super relieved every time a car would disappear in front of me, so maybe keeping it would be fine and a good way to keep the game optimized and from getting too tense to the point it isn't fun. This game seems like it was inspired by Crazy Taxi and I could feel the waves of nostalgia rush over me while playing it. Again, fantastic job! K bye now.
@hiyek thank you for the long and great feedback. We're so happy you've enjoyed that much our little game :D
- Waypoint Arrow: We made a lot of changes to the arrow during the weekend and it could get some more fine tuning. As you said there are some moments in which it doesn't look at the right point or in which it doesn't anticipate enough. - Fell through the map: We also noticed this a couple of times but we didn't have the time to properly recheck all the city colliders and fix it. At least you enjoyed the bug! :D - Cars dissappearing: This is actually a feature/bug. We put a system to delete cars behind buildings if you are going to turn over that building (so you don't find the car just in front of you while turning and resulting in an instant death). The problem is that the system is not working reliably always, so there are some moments in which visible cars are deleted and not only hidden cars.
Congratulations on your top 10 score!

I really love the cyberpunk style! The graphics are perfect!
Really fun and polished!!
I loved the concept of "future crazy taxi"
The controls seemed quite a bit sharp at the start but you get used to them quickly.
Congrats :)
fvcking cool!!!Superb picture and sound! ! !
Im gonna skip the "your game is amazing because" part, because its obvious where its good at ^^
Feedback: Making the camera hard is good since it gives you vision and allows you to move fastly and precise, but it hurts the eyes a little when its that hard. Maybe the angle could be a bit turned upwards idk. Probably it should follow a bit, but almost like it does. (Cameras are hard to get right and never appreciated ^^) Also I wasnt sure what I got time for, and where I lost time and how much. So making a decision is hard, since I dont know what the outcome will be.
Your game was really fun to play, but how did one get 900+ passenger :hushed:
Awesome graphics, great job 👌
Up'd my rating a bit cause there's something about this game that keeps me coming back for more! I suppose it's trying to raise my ranking a bit more and being astounded by the fact that the top score is 911 O.o
I truly believe this game would do well on Steam :3
wow. like a tron style! I love it! congratulation! Nice art! Can I follow it also on indiexpo? Do you have also a page there? This looks great! I looked for the games that used the #LDJAM but I don't find yours. So good luck!! I will hope to make a video about it!
Great game! The style and mood is great, but the most important thing. It is very enjoyable. The controls are a bit difficult to dominate but I think that is an addition so you have to improve and you get more points every time you play. Lovely entry :D
this was so much fun! driving around and the art style is beaut! :D nice work!
I really LOVE that cyberpunk/new retrowave vibe!
Wow! How? A game of this quality in that amount of time? Are you wizards? I'd happily pay money to play this game. The most fun I've had playing entries yet!
Nice Wilhelm scream, btw ;)
Felt good making the top 20 btw!
Really polished game, nice job.
Really good Game, Greatly Polished. Though The Bike Goes Quite Fast
beautiful game
I feel like we don't even need to talk about how good the game is, clearly awesome. The one thing that spoiled the fun for me a bit was the current difficulty curve. I adjusted to the fact that i need to be more careful with a long tail, which also encapsultes the theme very well. In my first runs, i always lost the tail to the pylons, scoring around 20. Then i had a perfect run, felt relatively fast and did not crash - time was up at 12 people transported. This was due to my long tail - i had to gather so many people, time was running out although it felt like i was doing great. Maybe this is intended this way, but then it goes a bit against my player intuition, that i have to willfully crash to keep my tail short enough, to be able to also deliver guys without 30s time left. A really great entry :)
I think I hit a glitch ;)

Very nice graphics and sounds, awesome that you have leaderboards! That's trully impresive!
I found controls rather hard and responsivnes is not so great - that is something that is affecting gameplay quite a lot and not in positive way.
Still, I for once had a lot of fun and the execution of the game is superb for the time frame!
Damn. This is an awesome game for just a few days of work. Kudos to you, Crema!
Nice. Crazy Taxi immediately popped into my head when i watched the video...I loved that game and will try yours tonight and give it some votes. Looks very nice though.
Really nice, difficult as hell, stunning visuals and a nice soundtrack. The pickup and drop of mechanics reminiscent of crazy taxi are a nice throwback as well.
Overall very enjoyable with nothing major to complain about.
Nice game and mood. I love the ciber punk style.
awesome game! good job
Man, this brings back those times when I used to only spam Crazy Taxi in arcades. Thanks for that. I do think you could possibly slow down the speed slightly when you have more trailers so show that your weight has increased.
Nice job!
Vaya juegazo os habéis vuelto a marcar para una ludum tíos! :) Seriously, this is probably the most polished game I've tried on this LDJam. Visuals, controls, atmosphere and gameplay are just spot on. Pure simple arcade fun. Enhorabuena Cremas!!!
Really impressive for a 3 days work, be it in terms of gameplay or artistic direction. And the traffic...! It's a solid entry, with a nice match to the theme, and its own personality. Loved it, congrats to the team!
graphics, sound, and general atmosphere are incredible. Would polish controls a bit more, maybe add sensitivity for keyboard users. Well done!
Best graphics of this LD ! Seriously the graphics are so cool, from the welcome screen to the game over screen
Audio is also pretty good and...did you really make an online ladderboard ? damn XD
But something spoil the game. Maybe because i'm a bad driver but i found this very not contralable even at the very begin.
It looks amazing, sounds really good but steers a bit snappy. Having sensitive controls is fine, but this bike is off the charts! Apart from that a very solid entry! Well done!
Neon and music create an awesome atmosphere. You are cool.
P.S. 10 stars out of 5 for the Wilhelm scream.
The art style is beautiful, loved the graphics and music
Lo habéis vuelto a hacer...
This is a highly visually appealing, atmospheric joy. Unfortunately, it's super difficult to play on a keyboard, and it's a game I wanted to be able to play more.
Beautiful! Would be awesome if you could see your rank in the leaderboard as well, even if you're not in the top 20 :D
Those graphics ! Oh god. Beautiful, the controls are really responsive on a controller, less on the keyboard. Very polished ! Congrats !
Beautiful game, very well polished, my only complaints are the controls, they don't feel very responsive.
Great game, remind me of crazy taxi. I love the cyberpunk feel of the city. I think that it could be improoved with more ramps & jumps
This is hands down in the top 3 games I've played from this jam. Fantastic job! You could put in some more levels etc. and just throw it on Steam with this kind of polish to it.
You did this in such a short time? Holy smokes this is incredible! The driving feels smooth and fast, the mechanics fit the theme perfect and the music is a joy to listen to. Overall a complete package.
Great work!
This game is really good. I am really bad. XD Tried a few times but could only deliver 2 people to ther destination. Was never good at driving games but loved Crazy Taxi. The Daft Punk touch is very welcome. Great work. ^-^
This is an amazing feat for a weekend jam. Very good job.
The graphics are great. Music was a good accompaniment for the game style. I enjoyed the concept, but was terrible at being successful with the driving. :-)
I don't think I "Made a Difference" but I enjoyed trying! Fantastic work.
The graphics and audio are so well done and I love the style that you went for. It's so unique and it just stands out from the crowd. The gameplay however I felt was slightly touchy at times. Whilst the game itself was really quite well thought out, and I loved the idea of an ever-increasing trailer, I found that when played on keyboard, it was way too jerky and sensitive. One touch could cause my trailer to act like a snake having a seizure. I unfortunately don't have a controller, so it might be better with a joystick, but I did find difficulty with this. As I said though, it was really polished and well designed, and it will definitely stick in my mind. It's the lovechild of crazy-taxi and vaporwave
PERFECT GAME ! 5 stars !
The game is really good and it fits to the theme. The graphics and the music are cool
Oh man, it's a cyberpunk Crazy Taxi! Very nicely done. I love the music and sound design too. Awesome entry.
Great game, I replayed it quite a bit not necessarily because of the high score board, but because it was addictive just to see how big of a train you can get. I loved how skillbased it was, and if you were good enough you could get super far (though I didn't really).
the tetris houses are cool. Steering is a little bit to sensitive for mee
Super solid entry, I've been playing it for a while. Congrats on doing such an amazing job! :-) Some more notes about it:
- Art direction and music were superb.
- Hooray for crazy taxi-like games.
- Thought it was pretty polished, didn't find any major bugs.
- The waypoint thing is always problematic in driving games. One smart solution (that Crazy Taxi already did) is show you a picture of the place you're supposed to go (hotel, restaurant, church, etc). After a few games you pretty much know the city layout, so knowing the place where I need to know is even more useful than an arrow that tell me when to turn.
- The game was a bit laggy on my laptop, but that's probably because it's already a bit old.
- Controls didn't feel really tight for me, maybe the bike should be heavier.
- I was impressed with how charming the city felt for a jam game, I was expecting something more generic.
Very pretty, but also very hard. First I tried to play with my controller (since the keys were mapped) and that was just pure impossible. I swapped to keyboard and my best score was 6. So for us not so cool drifters, it would be nice if the game started out simpler. Otherwise I really liked the game loop, the idea and how well it was made. If there had been a warning for each second left when less than 10 seconds remained would also have been both fun and useful. Finally, there's no way to exit the game from within the game. In general though. A very good game.
Awesome entry! Love the interpretation of the theme, the graphics, the environment, and how polished it is, really great!
That's what I needed synthwave version of Crazy taxi the music is so good as well as neon graphics
Check it out! https://youtu.be/PDwxMhiDG-s
Very very solid game. Superb art direction, the city is rich and the traffic made it feel alive. A great clone of crazy taxi but with a twist. The controls are a bit subpar and it drags from the experience as the bike is really fast and difficult to control. With some polish on the controls and the directional arrow it could be a great game on its own. Great job!
Wow! Everything in this game is great. It's amazing that you guys were able to do this in 3 days. The bike was a bit hard to control, but other than that it's one of the best games i've seen in this ludum dare. Congratulations :)
raphics are great and the physics are really cool!
I'm amazed. You've got one of the most solid entries I've seen on this edition. You've pretty much nailed everything, from gameplay (so addictive!) to the visual and aural feedback. The theme connection was smart, and the city had quite an organic layout and felt really lively for a jam game.
My two bits of feedback (nothing particularly big): First, I noticed that the destination arrow on an elevated road would sink into the road. Second, I got the impression that collisions against smallish items (a traffic cone, for instance) would feel disproportionately strong compared to cars or buildings.
Congratulations! ¡Felicidades, vaya juegazo!
Wow, the art and music in this game are amazingly cohesive and well polished. I'm even more impressed by how large and alive the city feels. I couldn't really get the hang of the controls, personally - the bike just seemed to turn too much, and I couldn't get the fine control I needed to precisely avoid obstacles. Maybe I should try it with a controller tomorrow... Anyway, really well put together, definitely one of the best I've played this jam!
WOW, nice submission! Incredible graphics in particular. The controls were a bit hard to get used to at first but I had a lot of fun!
Just to maybe add to your data, I played the game with a Logitech F310 controller (with the X mode) and it worked well on the windows build.
You nailed the theme and having loved Crazy Taxi and taxi missions in GTA, I was really interested in playing this game and it was indeed a fun game. My best score is 6 with some passengers "flying away" during the course.
The controls were correct. Not being able to slow down made some turns a bit awkward at times.^^ Maybe an F-Zero-like drift / slide button. The graphics are really nice and well polished, a kind of "If megaman was a taxi driver in Tron" vibe. As for the music & sounds, the synth/retrowave music goes well with the game and I really liked the Wilhelm Scream, I'll never be bored by this trope.
The liveliness of your city coupled to the level design gives a really impressive game experience, especially for a game made in 72H. I would love a game like this with different modes to choose from, this one, a one-passenger mode but not a lot of time to join the destination, etc..
That's the kind of games I show to people when they ask me why I don't even consider it possible to be high in the Ludum Dare ladder.^^
Anyway, great job!
One of the best entries. Love the art style. The game is extremely polished
I'm so bad in your game, but cool that you built in a score board! the sound really sets you in a good mood and graphics and controls are supporting it. great game
Awesome, I would call it Snake 3000 but its more than that :D Love the Cyberpunk feeling and the game mechanics. Stunning entry!
Aesthetics, animations, colors, textures, sound, and mood all work together and are really well done. I seem to have a problem where the movement of the car is way too sensitive and since the camera moves with it there's no delay making me feel dizzy. Perhaps I need to play with a controller since the keyboard is too sensitive. Still, pretty fun
Nice graphics, cool game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_cfsd64xFk
Love the bright colors! Nice audio too. Would love to see more!
