Really cool
Very creative take on the theme! At first i thought it was funny that someone had made a game about literally doing homework.for that reason i thought it would be boring, but it ended up being a very relaxing and entertaining time :D
@hasty glad you enjoyed it! I was also dreading the fact my game was going to turn people away because it's about "completing your homework", but I'm happy to hear you had a good time!
10/10 felt like doing actual homework
Thanks for letting me play this on stream, it was awesome! This was basically me in college, and my brain felt tired from playing this! Please make this into a larger thing!
Here's the VOD with Timestamps so you can click to your game! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NVsG7UOyfw
This game fits perfectly with the theme limited space. Great excecution on that part! Art style was consistent. Somethimes the text was a bit hard to read. I wasn't able to complete the game because the idea of doing homework just doesn't sound so fun to me.
The idea of searching information in various docs remind me of a Zachtronic game, where you had to read "zines" to find ways to hack things.
But you drove the concept to another dimension, with this limited-space table. A really good way to exploit the theme ! It's terribly frustrating to put some papers on the keyboard, knowing that you will have to move them just after. I love it !
I thought the dates on the papers would have been useful, to know how to reorder them. But not that much. Each paper looks quite independant to the others. That would have been fun to be obliged to reorder them to recompose a crucial information of the lessons.
Next version with texts and question generated by ChatGPT ! (Or not...)
@recher hehehe! The keyboard space was intended and I'm glad to see my gameplay vision was realized! Also, about the dates, I ordered them to be in the same order as the book, a bit like if it was teacher covering each chapter over a few classes, but I guess I should have made it more clear by giving an explicit title to each note.
Thanks for playing!
Thanks for making me work in a game. Honestly though, nice idea, funny stuff
