I like the Concept. I wish that I had longer than ten seconds to explore each level haha. The lighting worked really well with the pixel art.

Ah Got to 10, then took an arrow to knee! cool concept This reminds me of an old educational game I played as a kid called, The Mysterious Island of Dr. Brain. There was a puzzle about giving procedural commands liek this to a robot. Would love to see this turned into a super sick rouge like.
Extremely high quality for Compo. Feels like a complete professional package. Possible winner here. I had a ton of fun playing through. I hope you push it farther. With a few small tweaks. I think you could have a commercially successful product.
Nitpick feedback: Going forward, I'd change the alarm to something more relaxing. It adds an element of stress to an otherwise very relaxing vibe. It felt like it should really be a pretty sound and some animation of power flowing from the core through the colony. This game also feel like a really good fit for a "Par" mechanic, like golf. Where there is a target number of flares to win. Would love to have that kind of score displayed at the end.
Overall, I'm floored. Phenomenal work. perfect marks in all categories. Except humor, this game isn't really trying to be funny at all, so I left that one empty blank. (Maybe, opt out of Humor?)
Cool game. I like the concept. Points for ragdoll and 3d. The bike physics were a little wonky. I fell 11 times and laughed 11 times.
Poor Basil, so damn slow he gets killed every time. hahaha. I like the philosophical choose your own adventure. Nice writing. I wish there was more art like that amazing cover shot you have. :)
I found a treasure! I was a little tedious. My favorite thing here is that you managed to get a ton of trees in by using a 2d LOD at distance. I respect that optimization :D
My Granddaddy always told me that when the sun starts rumblin, I best get to hidin behind a cactus.
Beat the game. Full points for graphical style. :)
I really loved the intro, and that you did your own voice over. The music and and sfx are also on point.
I had a difficult time getting the ball to do anything consistent, but that kind of thing is to be expected with game jam games that try out new types of mechanics.
Overall good job. :)
@paroxysmal You and me both dude. ahahah I laughed super hard the first time I nailed someone with a slice.
I would love to see a video of the developer playing. I'm sure they aren't as inept as me. But I got fired from my job at a pizza place in real life. So, yeah, maybe it's me >.<
Really nice endless runner. Reminds me of Canabalt too. I'd take that nice little music track, and double the speed. :D
Five stars for audio! Really impressive work there.
Like the gameplay. I also like the aesthetic. Something about these graphics and the drum and bass. Good stuff. Only made it to world 3-2 It get's quite difficult. I love the little interlude cinematics between levels :)
Five stars in audio for that awesome track. In a world of 8 bit tunes, this really stands out.
If I could make one simple tweak: Level order should be changed to Movement Sparkle Color Change Just based on what is easiest to see.
AHAHAHA! The game I never knew I needed to play. 3rd grade me finally gets revenge on the classroom computer. Also love all the voice recorded sfx. Was laughing out loud the entire time I was playing "Nobody Survives the Quad Lazer!"
I echo what other say about it being impressive you got all these minigames polished in the time. Great work. This feels like a complete product with no rough edges.
Kind of a cool concept here. I wish block placement was much more snappy. Some sounds and vfx could have really made it pop :)
Hahaha this is my life. Great game design. I got to the final curse twice and lost. I'd have definitely left the items on the ground where you drop them. I think that would make things more interesting. But I could see this being a level in a much larger, possibly multiplayer, housework themed game. :) Super high marks overall.
I saw that post you made during the jam "This is the most cursed asset I ever made". But I didn't know which game it went to. I laughed out loud when it fell from the sky.
The whole thing definitely lulled me into a bit of a trance. I could see getting good at stacking stable patterns. But mine was a giant dumpster fire. :D
Reminds me of a game I made for Ludem Dare 49: Horse Pile https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/horse-pile
You game is much better though. :)
Capture.PNG
Haha, your programming language supports emojis! :D
Absolutely impressive Top marks for fun and innovation! Loved the design here too. Simple but understandable. I knew what I had to do (collect powerups and use them on the big red dude) with basically no instruction.
Yo we made the same game. But mine is 3d... and yours is way better :D I LOVE the music and general uwu vibe.
I had to stop. This dude inspired such a profound feeling of hatred within me. I got the key and sword. Than found a jar of something? I'll have nightmares about this. Extremely high marks for mood. :D
I love the concept. And the gem graphics are really nice! The problem is that you have unlimited ammo. So the most efficient way to play is just to click like crazy on everything. I think if you limited the number of bullets the player has, the game would be better.
Cool concept. Might be neat to make the bag dispense more money when a bullet hits it. I tried to get to 10 points a bunch of times and couldn't quite make it.
Really cute game. It's so chaotic and fast paced though. I think the difficulty curve could be slowed way down and it would be more approachable and fun.
I like the rainbow monsters. I'm with others that the game needs more feedback when things happen. But time was limited. Cool concept, and I like the partly 2d partly 3d look
Nice little game. Somehow reminds me of Bop-It. Fear the Banana Blitz!
Good stuff. I love both those games. I liked the way I got to use different weapons. I wish the red guys tried to hunt me down.
Pretty nice game. It's funny when you trip on a rock and instantly get smothered by dozens of tumbleweeds. They are absolutely ruthless. I also love that my gun fires bombs.
What a fantastic concept! Way better than the NES version! I found a bug where you can slowly move and even complete levels after you die. But maybe that's for the best, cause this game is super hard. I love it. I got stuck on level 7
I like the graphics and music here. The web GL version is not as good as the PC.
As with most jam games, this is tough as nails. I didn't get all that far. I think you might be able to get more mileage out of the whole thing by slowing it down a bit.
If I could add one thing, it would be the monster in the lake, what does it look like? You never get to see it eat the town. :)
really cleanly executed. Feels like a very complete game. I laughed the first time my stuff got switched. Made it to level 3.
I love the design here. I played until I picked the land clean of life. I wish there was more to do. The concept is great. It would be cool to rent vehicles, so I could afford to make trips to far off places to gather that loot.
There is a great game in here that has nothing to do with a ten second timer. I don't think the timer really adds anything. But I love the art, enemies, cards, etc. Got a bit of final fantasy tactics, and a bit of Slay the spire. The enemies need balancing. It was easy to get into situations when you have no relevant card, and they just chase you down and kill you. It might be nice if you had some kind of dash that moves you more than 1. Maybe that would be a good card idea.
I love circle strafing and the energy of the game. The whole things is a bit chaotic from the start. It could use a slower buildup. I had fun watching your posts while it was in development.
If I could add one thing it would be a nice fat explosion when you fire the shotgun.
I won in 8 mins. About perfect for a ludem dare game. We made similar types of games. :) All the mechanics were easy to use. Puzzles made sense. Good design. I don't know what's going on with that couch. but when i look at it, it tanks my framerate. Probably super high poly or dense textures. It make it super hard to find the key. Other than that I'd also making clicking in web gl hide the mouse, I had to go read the note to rehide it after pressing the windows key. Overall good work :)
@juhani-koskinen I wouldn't be shy about fixing it now. Seems like a reasonable post deadline edit.
Love the energy. The music is super cool for a game like this. I love bread and jazz. :) It is a bit difficult to figure out what to do at first. and the keyboard controls are a bit janky. I think they should just be rotated 45 degrees, so you walk in useful directions. Buying the bread station seemed like it made my whole situation a lot more difficult >.<
Great game :)
This game is nuts! :) I ran around, collect acorns, took them home, and hung out for a while after the timer ended. Love the graphics. Good stuff.
I like it! I like that it does not get too hard too fast. Good use of lighting. Classic timeless gameplay. Good job.
Good: Game is MFing hype. Full points for audio and mood. I love the giant explosion when you kill things.
Not good: The graphics are somehow too much for my computer. (A laptop with 3050 in it) And sometimes I spawn in a place where I immediately fall thorough the floor and die.
Ah this is brilliant. Stuff like this is why I love Ludem Dare. I'd love to know more about how you use the LLM API. What specific prompts you used.
Haha. This is why I'm not a forklift operator. Didn't quite make it. But had a good time, and definitely got better over the 16 minutes.
Really great work on this one. Most games that use lighting are brutal on the browser. This one runs great. The audio is AMAZING great work.
Oooh. The first spooky thing of the season :) Cool little game. I think I killed all the dudes in the first level. I like the lighting. But I think the graphics could be dialed back a bit. My laptop with a 3050 had a hard time running this at framerate. I appreciate that you have a keyboard mouse build.
Good punning :) You really hit ever note very well. A well rounded package. Great job.
@lathomas64 yep. Updated the description with the current stack. Want to see what can be done. Obviously this also means being extremely explicit about how I'm using it.
@juhani-koskinen Thanks :)
@weirdbitgames Thanks! Did you get any of the other endings?
@henrik-ganard Did you only get the first ending? I think based on the reviews I've been getting it's not obvious there are many
@henrik-ganard I appreciate the feedback. I'm making a few post jam edits to make it clear that you can in fact, leave the room haha.
@xlores-liang Oh my first fan theory!
@zerohalogen Yeah, it's all he cares about. haha.
@kinami Oh wow. This looks like exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip.
@lovewerk Yeah, oops. I should have made it faster. Crossed my mind during the jam. But i just kinda... didn't do it.
@mduo13 Haha. Thanks for the review. I only hear bad things about copilot from people who haven't used it. My strong rec would be to at least give it a try.
@nash Yeah, someone recommended ControlNet. And I think that would have helped a lot.
@jamesw Thanks :)
I'm glad you fixed your file. This game is fun. It is definitely NOT "easy peezy" I was not able to beat it. Last time I did ludem dare, I also made a super difficult platformer. So I understand. GREAT job on the pixel environment art.
Aw this game is fire. You really hit every note. Play for about 15 mins. Kept getting killed by the golems. Serious Dark Souls energy here. 54mbs and buttery smooth. You're a master of the craft :)
I made the leaderboard! Probably not for long. kickass game. good job. I love the retro TV screen look. I wish more retro pixel games did that. I'm super impressed with everything here.
Yo, this game is hilarious! I laughed the whole time I was playing it. Nice difficulty ramp up. Perfectly on theme. Great job.
I played this game for a long time compared to most of the other jam games. Great concept. I really wish that I was on deck where I could look at the pretty ocean, as opposed to the hull. I also wish I could upgrade the speed of my net.
This would make a great multiplayer game
I won! Fun game with some action and escape room elements. I agree with others that it would be nice if it was more optimized. But hey :) It's a game jam. Good job
That's sick. The low level tech you use gives it a super unique feel. I wish there was more game here. But it kinda stands on it's own well as a weird art project. Super eerie vibe. I like it.
I did 3/4 missions. Didn't understand how to repair the AC, I think I missed some dialogue. Cool concept, pretty similar to the game I made. I like the hand drawn environment.
