LD50 — Delay the inevitable

A duck on ice by jk5000 2022-04-08T20:15:58Z

Found the "sad" duck story to be very entertaining great job, gave me a good laugh!

PLOUF! by mlho7 2022-04-08T21:59:05Z

Very interesting graphics! Also I found it funny how the whole reason your flooding is because of a seagull.

Graveyard Path by JOrbits 2022-04-03T23:04:15Z

I really enjoyed this game! The 8 BIT sounds and music fit the ascetic perfectly!

One inevitable thing by Rs11s21n 2022-04-04T15:12:39Z

I had alot of fun with this game! I got up past difficulty 33 with over 12000 points then got bored. I really like how the cats try to sabotage you. One thing I would add is the ability to see your best score.

Secret Mission: Datastorm by Sentmoraap 2022-04-10T00:10:55Z

The game always paused about 15 seconds in so never got to really play.

The Mark of Time by DKMK100 2022-04-04T15:21:19Z

This was a neat concept but needs some work. It would had been nice if the player and enemies were animated at least to some extent. But I really enjoyed the title theme you made for the game! The achievements were a nice touch to the game as well. Overall nice work!

Hummingbird by Madbarron 2022-04-17T16:48:29Z

I liked the graphics, and the change in the song as you die I thought was good.

Trash Simulator 3000 by Esben Jensen 2022-04-08T21:49:18Z

The controls didn't feel very smooth and I wasn't really sure how this fit the theme. Good game idea though!

Shot Clock by Nathan Wiles 2022-04-04T14:46:51Z

This is a fun game, though I wish that you had bgm and more polish on the graphics. Whenever I scored it didn't really feel very exciting. In the future maybe add cool particles or something when scored. Neat concept though!

Immune System "Engineer" - Can you Delay the Inevitable Skin Breach? by Aarimous 2022-04-04T03:04:01Z

Good little game. It was satisfying to add the shapes together. However it felt a bit repetitive after awhile.

SURVIVE! by Ben Sanby 2022-04-08T21:55:40Z

Making a survival game fits the theme and I liked the idea you were trying to go for! Took a while to understand the controls and I wish there were better graphics. Also the file was really big in the future I would recommend that you ether make it a web.gl or compress your file further.

Smoldering Life by Pirate-Rob 2022-04-08T20:11:13Z

Gave off really spooky vibes, nice job. However the character felt a little to slow and there was no clear indication when you hit an enemy (such as screen shake or health bar).

Avoid the Drown by NeneChico 2022-04-08T20:19:21Z

Would had been nice if there was an player sprite, good idea just needs some more polish.

Procrastination Simulator by dot_dev 2022-04-04T14:55:03Z

I really enjoyed this game. I think it's funny how you are trying to cause procrastination instead of stop it, and the music is good as well. I got a D- as my score!

Wally's Jump by Legofan0807 2022-04-08T20:26:50Z

Really good for only 72 hours! I liked how the environment changes as you go higher and higher and the shop with the weird filters was a good addition as well!

Tick Tick by J4cko16 2022-04-04T15:03:15Z

@mrscythe It is rhythm based to an extent. When I was making the song I timed it so the song changes right when my triggers hit to make the gameplay faster. I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Twilight Souls by Yword 2022-10-16T16:50:44Z

By far the best game i've played in this jam so far! Everything thing about it is super fun, it's hard to believe this was made in just 3 days!

Oton by unpronounceable 2022-10-04T04:25:36Z

Nice concept but the graphics need improving. Also maybe add controls in order to move diagonally through the air as well?

Crazy Ball by Lawrence 2022-10-03T02:41:24Z

It's just a standard game concept with the jam theme included. It would had been nice if you included more original features into the game so it wouldn't seem so much like the original. I liked how you had a leaderboard though.

Baseball Kid & The Nightmare Dimension by Untitled Studios 2022-10-03T02:34:25Z

I never beat the game but I enjoyed what I got to play, I found the intro cutscene to be quite funny!

ETERNARC by Talops 2022-10-13T04:47:14Z

Took me awhile to learn but good job on making this in just two days!

CyberBeat by Abdonatioera 2022-10-04T02:19:46Z

Fun game, I just don't understand how it goes with the theme?

Curse Mountain by rpgfaker 2022-10-04T04:22:49Z

Interesting idea though it could have been expanded upon. Some ideas to make the game better is... First I would maybe make a harder route that only the golem could take for any of the challenges so you don't just have to sit there waiting for the transformation. Second the climbing mechanic felt really slow so maybe either add some sort of wall hop or make the speed faster.

Neural Dodge by Foursay 2022-10-04T02:31:31Z

I am so glad to see a rhythm game added to the mix! Great job and creative way to add in the theme!

Hampter Quest by not-tomo 2022-10-04T02:27:03Z

This was a cute little game! It really reminded me of a game called "Wario Ware" idk if you have heard of it or not. But the hampter loading screen was amazing and I wanted to see more of Hampter!

In the Basket by J4cko16 2022-10-17T23:33:09Z

@talops I wasn't expecting anyone to get higher than 300 due to the difficulty scaling I coded in. I never intended the player to use both AD and Arrow keys though I do the exact same while playing for myself. Congrats on your score, you were about 30 away from beating my high score! I wish I could had added more for the background but I was already on such a time crunch. I will be sure to add better graphics soon!

Toilet Run by IngeniousPhoenix 2022-10-08T23:13:38Z

It was an alright game, The mechanic that causes you to grow is nice but annoying at the same time. I like how you have to be bigger or smaller depending on what you are trying to accomplish, but I've found myself in plenty of cases having to wait 6 or so seconds to grow to a certain size to finish the level which got a bit frustrating at times. It would also had been nice if the title and level select had more time put into it. Good start, nice job on finishing the jam!

Encoded War by KokkakNiphon 2022-10-16T16:56:23Z

Interesting game, The encoding with the letters is interesting, however I would recommend giving the player the ability to type on the keyboard but make the encryption codes longer to counter act that.

Feed the Deep by Matt Green 2022-10-03T02:38:06Z

I had a hard time playing the game since the UI was way to small. Since you're using Unity you must have forgotten to switch the UI out of "pixels per unit".

LD53 — Delivery

Package Panic by Porcus_Pie 2023-05-01T03:17:53Z

Overall a very good game. I liked the dialogue sound for the tutorial character. If I were to make any changes I would add a full screen button for HTML and make the time for the delivery trucks shorter.

Cow Delivery by RenardGames 2023-05-16T03:41:11Z

RIP Cow

The Mailman by Castitatis 2023-05-01T03:29:27Z

Very nice graphics and love that it is a beat'em up game. A few things I would take note of however are...

1. You can advance into new waves without killing the last ones plus save the girl without even fighting a single enemy

2. It was annoying everytime I die having to go through the title screen and controls, story and such. So maybe have the retry button start you from the start of the gameplay?

Frantic Folding by J4cko16 2023-05-01T03:20:17Z

@triangle-point When I had friends of mine playtest they pointed the same thing out to me. I noticed this problem while working on the game but never saw it as an issue due to me being slow at spamming keys, so it made no difference in the challenge for me lol

Frantic Folding by J4cko16 2023-05-01T20:55:07Z

@tasakasama did you full screen the game or only play it as the browser shows it without full screen? The UI shouldn’t be like that as long as you click the full screen button in the bottom right of the embedded file

Frantic Folding by J4cko16 2023-05-02T15:07:32Z

@candlesan You even beat my high score, congrats! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Frantic Folding by J4cko16 2023-05-19T20:47:09Z

@mushgunax the highest I allowed is 36, but if anyone can get past 32 I would be surprised lol

Mt. Deliverest by QwillaK 2023-05-01T03:32:55Z

Very nice graphics however your "authors" and "instruction" buttons don't actually do anything so I had to figure everything out on my own. Also it is way to precise when it comes to placing a hand on a rock.

LD57 — Depths

Speed Dating by kalgynirae 2025-04-09T04:15:14Z

I found the outfits and dialogue to be very charming and it was nice to memorize the dialogue. I did both of the dating worms but then the other ones never unlocked :(

Mutant Ocean by boaheck-artgent 2025-04-08T16:36:41Z

This a very well polished game! The art, music, gameplay loop, etc. is amazing! My ONLY complaint has to be then when I fail even one of my operations it resets all of my money and upgrades... I worked hard to upgrade my stats so it just sucks losing that and puts more pressure than needed on the operations. Other than that fantastic job!

Align The Sea by CursedEmbassy 2025-04-10T18:17:05Z

This game kind of feels like a hit and a miss. It seems very apparent what you spent most of your time on compared to what you didn't. The beginning cutscene with the panels was completely stunning and blew me away but that same style doesn't continue into the rest of the game. The walk animation is very choppy. Plus the art in the ocean section totally drops your unique style for rushed pixel art. If you spent far more time on the art of the gameplay and not the cutscene this game would be far better. It is a very interesting gimmick and the whole farting mechanic is funny. Collecting trash to build shelter or a lamp is an interesting idea! I bet your team is incredible when given the time to make something, but with jams you need to prioritize somethings before others.

Dig in, Gus! by bigwhiteshogun 2025-04-08T06:04:17Z

I think this game is very impressive. Everything feels very smooth and polished, and your music is great! The main thing that surprised me was the very involved player movement script. The wall bouncing and grapple hook and the animations are very detailed. The only thing that comes to mind is to fit the theme a little better and for a more interesting gameplay feel, you could go even deeper and the sprites and blocks change the further down you go!

Abysm by APG 2025-04-07T04:26:13Z

I think the idea of stopping tenacles is interesting. I like the player it is very silly!

Dig Down by Rustywolf 2025-04-07T19:24:28Z

I really really enjoy this game, The gameplay loop is very addicting! The game juice on mining blocks is also very well done, no criticism, good job!

Piton by Bea 2025-04-15T20:47:39Z

I have no clue what I was suppose to do, I think the graphics are really cool yet the rope visually can cut off and such which is odd. I pretty much just spammed S after awhile and my player was just completely off screen without the camera following me. Also I noticed that at the start there is a solid run animation but when I am not running the run animation still happens and not an idle. I think alot of these issues I stated are due to a lack of time and it would be cool to see what your vision is when given more time!

Drill Down, Dog! by Mavvy 2025-04-07T04:00:24Z

I think the concept fits the jam theme very well. The game is great but just very simple. I would be very cool to see more kinds of obstacles besides the little green fellas and the mines. I also think the store is redundant at the moment due to the overpriced health, I never can buy it and there is nothing besides that in the store. A speed update or new drill would had been cool in the shop!

Frantic Focus by krummja 2025-04-07T19:38:09Z

I like how the game fits the theme of the jam. It was very fun juggling between the different depths of the level while platforming. It would had been very nice to have the level automatically restart when I fall of the edge. I got kind of annoyed pressing R every single time I died. I think you did a good job on level design though!

Can Go Deeper by Trabasura 2025-04-07T04:12:27Z

I have never seen a game like this and I think it's very creative. I think the talking face is also really funny. My only minor complaint is that the "battles" as I call them take a little to long, if I got to choose the speed or make them faster that would be neat!

Saving Turtle Rainn by Ilinx 2025-04-07T04:31:49Z

I really like this concept it is super creative. The use of timing and being careful about spamming space is really fun!

Wizardry Catacombs by J4cko16 2025-04-08T18:53:38Z

@frib the combat is a bit lack luster I agree, the random room generation took so much of my time that I couldn't emphasize the combat as much as I would had liked... I thought the ending I made was clever but I removed myself from humor because that's really the only funny moment in the game and I figured not everyone would see it. I am for sure going to expand this project further, do you have any particular combat ideas that would be good to implement?

Wizardry Catacombs by J4cko16 2025-04-09T15:12:55Z

@quasilyte thank you so much for your feedback. I agree with a lot of the things you said with the boxes and such but I don’t agree when it comes to the floors. Have you ever played Pokémon mystery dungeon? If not I suggest you give it a look! The floors aren’t individual levels but part of a single level. I wanted to represent the feeling of climbing down deeper and deeper. My generation is very similar to mystery dungeon mainly because it is one of my favorite series :) thank you for your feedback and perspective however, a lot of people absolutely love this kind of generation especially in mystery dungeon so it’s interesting to hear the other side of it.

Wizardry Catacombs by J4cko16 2025-04-12T23:56:09Z

@henk I believe it doesn't matter how I give access to the code as long as it is possible to obtain it. I have seen quite a few top 50 games in the past also charge a dollar or two for their source code, there was never an issue. In the past I did provide everything for free but this time I just feel really attached to the scripts I created

EDIT: The source code is now free... The games I were referencing that were charging were entered as "jam" games not compo, sorry for my misunderstanding

Knocking On Hell's Door by Frib 2025-04-08T19:02:59Z

Making a 3D game in the course of the 48 hours is kind of insane! I really like how I can have a weapon on both of my hands, it allows for some great weapon building. The visual effects for the weapons and the sound design were also quite impressive. I have a few minor things that I would recommend. It can sometimes feel a little unclear where my bullets will land and most of the time it feels kind of like dumb luck, also you really only have one enemy as far as I know, so as I kept going it started to feel stale and a little repetitive. A variety in locations and enemies and more clarity on weapon firing would make this game even better! (I also really liked how as I fall the camera slows down, I tried to make some interesting trick shoots on the enemies)

The Haunted Depths by ljg 2025-04-07T04:05:54Z

The idea of the game is unique, however it can feel a bit bland. I think the game could really benefit to more "juice" like cool effects when I hit the buttons and such. It is also kind of irritating having to go through the little coffee monologue and intro each time I start over.

Funnel Knight by Kaspjej 2025-04-08T16:47:50Z

Screenshot 2025-04-08 104506.png Great polish and very good for just 72 hours! The controls feel very fluid. I have two complaints however. First of all, I found it a little irritating that when I died I had to restart that whole beginning segment with all of the dialogue and such, restarting at the start of the area where I fell would be a much better choice imo. Secondly, in this screenshot I uploaded I got stuck here. This jump isn't possible and if it is it's frame perfect, I can't seem to make it...

Forge Rush by Laurynas 2025-04-09T19:21:46Z

A game with great potential but the crafting is so advanced I had no idea how to even make a hood. Graphics are amazing however. Everything seems so involved which is amazing but at the cost of not knowing what to do. With jams sometimes simple is better. Also I don't see how this fits the theme "depths" unless the insane amount of complexity has "depth" or something, but that is such a grey area. Finally, your thumbnail is obviously AI generated which may drive people away from your game, which is strange that you took that route since your game has good art, it shouldn't be much trouble. I always think you should try to make your own thumbnails for projects, that's just me...

DigDig by Overlix 2025-04-09T04:31:26Z

Very impressive for just 3 days, the graphics are insane. I could go on and on about how good this game is but other people seemed to have already done so, so I will just give a little bit of "advice" or an idea if you want to keep going with this. I love the little first area but I wish there was more terrain to explore. This reminds me alot of minecraft and in minecraft as you dig sometimes you can find little caves, it would be so cool to encounter little caves as I dig and perhaps have zombies and such to whack with my pickaxe!

Drifting Granny by the-cellist 2025-04-09T19:08:43Z

The game is very silly but feels really hard to control. The anchor physics are great but sometimes the anchor would stop going down randomly or something. Interesting concept, if you had slightly better anchor controls it would be better!

The Hole by dstoc 2025-04-07T04:19:40Z

I really like this game! I found it to be really fun! I got a little addicted. My only thought while playing is that it would had been cool to progressively change the environment as I golfed further and further underground?? That could add a sense of progression. The music is simple but a bop btw

Egg Rescue: Detective by jetaimais 2025-04-07T19:33:42Z

I don't quite see how this game fully fits the theme. Yes the camera has a "depth" to it but it seems really like silver lining. The game is still very good and the graphics are down right incredible. I struggled to find the eggs but overall very impressive!

LD59 — Signal

The Descent Of Johnny Baseball by Jajo 2026-05-03T16:51:44Z

I think the style and take of a guy named Johnny Baseball is very funny! I also really enjoyed the dialogue at the beginning. I didn't really understand the gameplay so perhaps in a post jam release a tutorial would be nice. Tho interesting concept

Fillmore's Island by Jeremy Ryan 2026-04-20T04:46:21Z

I really like this game! Great art style and a very creative mechanic! The level design was very nice to. I like how drones can go over the rocks but can't go in water areas/bridges while I can. It is a little annoying to have to move my drone while walking, maybe a follow mechanic would had been nice? Also I can fling the drone out of range sometimes and can't get it back unless I walk REALLY far then press R which caused frustration. I did manage to do a few things that I assume weren't intended. The main thing I noticed is if you are in a barricaded area and you go far away, press 'r' while holding a item like a key then it will bring that key to you even if unintended and I used this strat along with driving my drone out of bounds to "cheese" segments.

Sheep Trials by digital bacon 2026-04-23T19:54:25Z

a very interesting concept, to me though it felt hard to figure out how to use the commands espically since they are WASD at first I kinda just spammed thinking I could walk. (also I think someone else also said this, but you can beat most if not all levels by just using W)

It's a good concept with good mechanics but the level design could use some innovation and work.

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-24T22:04:13Z

The game move's and controls somewhat weird. The movement of the camera is done through moving my mouse, however my mouse keeps going across the screen as is visable? Also the camera rotating locks after a certain point on my end. Though this could just be a glitch with the web build. The character also can move freely while in the air without any like air pull, it doesn't feel as if i'm airborn with jumping and your game doesn't really focus on jumps meaning it may have been better to scrap it entirely to make other features better!

Negitives aside, the mechanics you made with the metal detector and how far I am from something in the ground are really nice. The shop is also a very good addition and the objective UI makes it clear what you would like me to accomplish! I think refilling my battery is a bit expensive and if i'm unlucky can result in soft locks. (perhaps battery packs around the map could solve that)

Either way, it is very impressive that you made a 3D game in just 2 days with cool outline shaders I may add, in godot engine none the less!

Salvager by J4cko16 2026-04-20T05:37:56Z

@austinmerrick I have never heard of that game lol, but i've already been told by a few people that it is like that. I'll check it out

Call 4 Help! by ThatFirey 2026-04-25T03:53:07Z

Holy crap this game is amazing! The fact that this was made in 3 days???? I really like the audio and voice acting and the whole vibe of everything. The mini games are also a good time. The only things were that even with the audio I was pretty confused on what to do for a minute and just clicked on random things. It wasn't very clear that I had to look for a signal (tho if the audio did tell me then I just didn't hear) which regardless a little more guidence would had been nice?! I kinda just got lucky and found a signal at first by clicking randomly. Tho once I understood the game it was a good time!

The Hive of Queen Bee-Atrice by Domenixius 2026-04-20T05:36:07Z

I thought the tileset was nice and the tune was simple but fit well. Though the premise of the game just didn't feel "fun". Unless I understood the game wrong a lot of it I just protect the queen or bring nectar or something then watch for birds and hide. All of these gimmicks in themselves are really cool! It's just they aren't applied in a way that gives for a "game" like experience. And as far as I know there isn't really any purpose to me doing this (unless i'm wrong) like can I win or what sense of "achievement" do I get?

Either way mechanics are still well made! Especially the hiding from birds, tho a little more warning would be appreciated. Sometimes I kinda just got ambushed lol.

Bag of Beholding by Jawdan 2026-04-23T20:03:29Z

A very nice art style and I love your audio! The inventory system is also extremely nice along with the game UI. But I am pretty sure I broke your combat system. Right clicking deletes items and I don't understand why but I can swap to the enemies inventories? When I do I can right click on ALL of the enemies inventory slots and basically make them unable to attack and then clear all of my items but the knife then spam it.

I also don't know how I feel about items being randomly used also, it may had been a better apporch imo to make players "stuck" with lots of items perhaps give them a few deletes they can use on yourself or the enemies but just not as many as I want like rn. Then use the items you are forced to hold on to in a clever way. The items themselves are neat.

BounSynth by CptNero 2026-04-21T18:59:16Z

A very unique take on the theme! Having the music control the gameplay is really neat. It is also really cool that each instrument controls a different aspect of the level, tho just controlling a bunch of platforms is kind of basic, it would had been neat to see other interactable items too!

My main complaint though has to be the UI, I really like the look and the graphics make it really seem like some sort of audio mixer but the UI slider component in general is very jank to be blunt. There were lots of times where I knew exactly what to do but the mouse movements required to move the circular slider where I wanted made it fairly difficult. Even if it would had looked worse, perhaps horizontal sliders would had been better, or just making the circular sliders buttons that change it's "state". This would be a very fun game if UI accessibility wasn't an issue!

DRAW!!! by Alpharius_003 2026-04-23T19:42:52Z

I really like this, it is a really interesting take on the theme to "look for a singal" in body language!

Fading Light by mister_king 2026-04-20T03:15:15Z

Very intuitive, simple instructions that allowed me to get the hang of everything quite easily. The use of black "dark" sprite I found to be very creative and I had no bugs while playing beating the game on my first attempt. My only "complaint" is that the game felt a tad boring after a minute since it's just the same thing of shine my light and spam click. However, simple concepts like that are to be expected with only 2 days. Nice job

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-22T17:23:48Z

A very nicely designed game, I love the voice acting lol. I see the vision and I think this game and it's idea are creative and have potential. But I think in a game design perspective it falls under the dev is alot better at the game than the player, like everything to the dev will feel 10x easier than to a new player. What I mean by this is it is already hard enough to match the beat with the drums, that alone can prove to be a challenge. On top of having to match it I also have to do a series of correct inputs that are stringed to 5 long and with keys on the keybaord I don't have muscle memorized right off the bat????

This may had worked if weaker elements were like 2 or 3 keys, but 5 even for a basic spell is insane. On top of that q, w, e, r are such odd keys. For something like this it may have been far easier if you did something like WASD or Arrow keys, there are 4 drums so that would work perfectly! It does feel very nice when I hit the string of 5 it just doesn't feel too beginner friendly.

Overall, this has potential to be a great game but the design of just throwing me in, and everything I mentioned is holding the game back. This could really be fleshed into a great game if taken the proper steps!
