This is especially good for 24 hours. I love the visuals, great colors and all of the sprites look awesome and cohesive. Cool enemies too with interesting different attacks

The audio in this one is wonderful. I love the music in this so much, so nice and laid back but conveys this nice serene bottom of the sea feel. The ambient sound too really comes together with the visuals to sell the theme. Fantastic audio. One small nitpick is the loop at the end cuts off with the reverb, and should have been turned into a perfect loop. Only noticeable because it gets you so entranced

I thought the gameplay was cool. I found the button mashing to be a bit tedious, and for long distances, I think it'd be awesome if you could hold down space and auto-move, but still make it easy to tap / mash. Would be good for accessibility too

Idk what the checkpoint situation was but I got a bit further than the first anglerfish, some more frequent checkpoints would have got me sticking through further.

All in all this is solid work, especially on hitting the theme and selling the mood, especially in 24 hours. Good looking/sounding game

I really like this concept it is super creative. The use of timing and being careful about spamming space is really fun!

really pleasant background track, nice effective vibey pixel art, good job!

I saved the turtle! I didn't like the controls that much, having to buttonspam spacebar for movement was quite tedious. Other than that, pretty enjoyable! I tried to outrun the projectiles but that didn't work lol, would be nice if they collided with the environment. But that's just nitpicking. Good stuff!

Thank you for the feedback guys! Yeah I guess the mashing spacebar to move is pretty bad lmao

The sound ambiance is so good, well done, good concept and good execution. A chill game like we often need.

looks really good, very chill vibes

GG ! Toi aussi t'es le goat ! Tout est super quali et franchement en 24h good job !

Good looking game. Cozy and well put together graphics for 48 hours. Mechanics are simple but work well. There are a couple of bugs regarding projectiles still being active when you respawn, and dialogue playing each time even if the trigger is dead, but nothing game breaking

Pretty cool game! With enough polishing it could really shine, but even now its nice and enjoyable. Would be nice to be able to just hold move key to continuously move, art and sound direction is good, but of course could always be improved, which is understandable for a 48h gamejam, overall very solid submission, good job!

Lovely game you made here! The atmosphere was great and was one of the best theme mood games I've played so far.

bridgeonastick 2025-04-08 17:39

Great atmosphere and really cozy. The music was very fitting!

Nice game! I really liked how it got darker the lower you went. The atmosphere was amazing and everything added to the game, nothing unnecessary.

Very cute game! You really captured that deep sea aesthetic with the lighting and calm audio. Liked the inclusion of a narrative; saving your turtle friend was very wholesome, and I love how you incorporated some gameplay by having you melee attack the plastic to free them. The dialogue repeating every time you die and respawn got pretty repetitive though. The turn based movement was a neat concept that I could definitely see being expanded on, felt a bit like a turn based Dark Souls. The controls were a bit cumbersome, but I managed to get through it. Overall a neat little game. Nice work!

Looks lovely. The animation of all the objects is really nicely done and I also like the story of your game.

Loved it, such a great atmosphere and fantastic bite-sized game. The repeated dialogue for no longer relevant actions was a pain but not a huge issue. I think short alt-dialogue could have worked well. I did enjoy the simplicity of the movement, (maybe safe chunks could have been more auto-move). The difficulty ramped in a nice curve and the story was very cute. Great dialogue, very nice graphics and loved the music. Really impressed.

The atmosphere and music was quite nice!

Great job for such a short jam. I love a kinda turn-based platformer, and this one was well executed. Good cohesive art and sound design, and some real promise for more complex puzzles in a larger game. [spoiler] Not to mention the ecological callout at the end for the turtle tangled in plastic pollution. All in all a solid entry, especially for the time limit!

designernap 2025-04-16 12:40

Really love the audio and mood in this one. Was stuck for AGES at the start though as I didn't read the instructions and nothing advanced the text :D

oeuegha 2025-04-18 07:30

Feels gud, but i didn't realize how checkpoint have to work.

euler-moises 2025-04-20 00:07

Simple and well done. Not being able to go back is a bit frustrating sometimes, but I imagine you have a good reason for that.

Thank you so much for letting me save the turtle

Congratulations on having the courage to make a game by yourself and for succeeding!

Simple, but rich in mood and atmosphere. The visuals are very charming, and the tiles distinguishable enough from one another for the player to instantly recognise what action they're expected to perform. I also like that you have to time your defence right for reflecting bubbles to take effect, which adds a little bit of nuance to dealing with obstacles.

The slow, relaxing music really helped set the tone, and the choice to go with a more realistic looking direction for the animal characters' designs solidified it further. The ending scene made me tear up, which isn't something I can say for any other jam entry that I've seen so far.

Thank you so much for this charming experience! <3
