Making a survival game fits the theme and I liked the idea you were trying to go for! Took a while to understand the controls and I wish there were better graphics. Also the file was really big in the future I would recommend that you ether make it a web.gl or compress your file further.

Nice straightforward take on the theme (nothing wrong with that) and I ended up enjoying the graphics, they are quite funky. Wish there was a little more feedback on user input as it's quite confusing whether your button presses are actually doing anything sometimes. The gameplay was fairly simple, but a great first attempt at a compo! Hope you enter again next time :)
just a heads up my antivirus (avast) is having a fit when i try to download this
i know the antivirus is probably more harmful than the game but let me know if you know what sets this off.
I liked what you were going for, but there just wasn't enough feedback on what was going on. I could never tell if I was doing anything when I clicked, I didn't know what the requirements were for the items, and I had trouble finding bunnies for the longest time (took me 3 games to figure it out). Again, not a bad idea and with a little bit more feedback I think I would have liked it a lot more. Not bad for a first jam.
OH! And two more things. First, no need to apologize for the graphics, I thought they were fun. You've got an interesting style there, lean into it. Second, the file size was huge. You're not going to get nearly as many people to play a game that big, so in the future you may want to look for ways to decrease your file size. I almost wasn't able to play it because my internet was being finicky.
As others have said, the lack of feedback on your actions made it very difficult to play. You might want to add something like knocking back enemies when you successfully attack or even very basic sound effects (you can generate these quickly with sfxr and similar programs).
Good job finishing something for your first jam. The graphics were the best part, so no need to apologize for them.

cute game, wish there was more feedback lol, wish something told me that something was happening, I agree with a lot of the comments above, my computor had a stroke downloading this
I like the graphics! They're unique and the monster designs are interesting. I agree with the others though, it was hard to tell whether you were attacking or being attacked, so some feedback there would be useful. For example, if the character could swing the weapon so you could see what the hitbox would be, or if the character said "ow!" when attacked. I eventually got the spear and killed a rabbit but as the theme says, death was inevitable for me. :)
The art was nice, sticking to an art style is never a bad thing. A survival game fits well with the theme, too. The user interface was frustrating to use. The inputs for cooking and eating rabbit weren't intuitive, and I shouldn't need to select the log before being able to buy fire from the shop. Seems like with more time this could become a polished game.
