I don't quite see how this game fully fits the theme. Yes the camera has a "depth" to it but it seems really like silver lining. The game is still very good and the graphics are down right incredible. I struggled to find the eggs but overall very impressive!
you can really tell the amount of love on this entry. from the art design to the narrative. i really enjoyed this little investigation. congrats to the team!

The most cute game I have ever played in this gamejam. I like the idea that use the depth of camera to hide important elements. It's amazing to navigate the camera movement to find out the story behind everything.

Very cute game with a super cute art style!! Even though I didn't find much of a reason to zoom out, the camera depth mechanic has some neat potential.

Now that’s a truly fresh and intriguing game concept! It took me a moment to grasp how it works, but once I did, I was completely hooked. I just had to find out what happened to the egg!

It's a very cute game! I was hooked by the landing page of the game, executed very well. The sounds are good too. I can say that the controls in the game are not very convenient. When I zoom in, I expect the scroll to be up, but you've done the opposite.

As far as I understand, the subject matter is obvious in the depth of the investigation. I would also like to note the excellent audio and visual components.
The art and animation on this is so charming! Love the original take on the theme! Adjusting the depth of field as the main play mechanic is super fun!
@tryam So glad to hear you’re enjoying the game! As for the camera zooming—I seriously thought it through and ended up choosing the opposite direction, and only realized I was wrong after submitted hhhhh.

Really fun concept! Love the art too. A little confused by the mouse wheel direction, reversing it might be more intuitive.
I really liked the perspective mechanic! It feels very polished with the slight motion blur and the text that looks kindof 3D!
Beautiful art, and oh what a wonderful (albeit drunk) doggy. I very much enjoyed this one, but I'd love some more gameplay - the zooming/panning mechanic alongside those great parallax backgrounds really felt like a setup for something bigger gameplay-wise hah.
Still, given the timeframe, this is VERY impressive (and VERY VERY cute) - great job folks! :heart:

Adorable game! This just oozes charm. Love the cozy bardyard animals concept. The handwritten note book feels so good. And I love the happy and warm sounds and music.

A very cute and simple game with a sweet story. The visuals are very pleasant, even though they’re simple. And the gameplay is quite unique. The only thing I didn’t quite understand was how the theme of “depths” fits in. Depths of investigation, maybe?
Overall, a very easing and light-hearted experience.
The adorable character designs and delightful artstyle really help it stand out among the other jam entries, while the soft, cheerful music perfectly ties everything up.
I appreciate the novel approach to the "depth" theme through the implementation of actual, physical layers of screen depth. However, it does ultimately feel like a feature that the game could have easily done without and still not be impacted by its lack in any meaningful way, which is a bit of a shame.
Other than that, as a player, I also wish that the game was a little less streamlined, so that I could come to my own discoveries and conclusions, perhaps by being able to look for clues in multiple areas at once, without being limited to a single screen? Regardless, I still enjoyed my time with it. Fantastic work all four of you! <3
