I love circle strafing and the energy of the game. The whole things is a bit chaotic from the start. It could use a slower buildup. I had fun watching your posts while it was in development.
If I could add one thing it would be a nice fat explosion when you fire the shotgun.
Good work completing your entry! The graphics and textures look nice, though I think it would be nice if the enemies maybe exploded when getting close to you dealing damage? That way they don't take up too much of the screen space and there is a larger threat to them. A game over maybe showing a score would also be nice. But good work getting your game done!
Incredibly chaotic which would usually be a downside but give the goal was trying to work out where the next ten seconds was and shooting the enemies could clear the storm of particles a bit the chaos really worked.
Do the spaceships and boxes up in the skybox do anything? I kept trying to shoot them.
@ben-parisi Wow! I will note your feedback thanks! for having played
@davidbradbury Thanks for the review. As soon as I get home I'll play your game. Annotated feedback
@jibberwocky Thanks for the review. I thought, if too many particles would spoil the gameplay. I will remove some more of them. Annotated feedback I will play your game!
This game is very chaotic. That really could be used in a good way, but at the point it's at right now, I had trouble staying with it. The graphics were interesting, and I liked the idea for it, but I just wish there was more for me to do.

Good job! Always love shooting and the clutch nature of looking for the next 10 second timer. In the first two runs, I ended up looking all the way downwards, which made me think the controls were inverted. Limiting the camera movement downwards would be a good solution to that.
Cool game. I feel like my personal space got exceeded...
Everything about this game hits the spot, except the feel of the gun, it sounds rather weak, besides that, I loved the game.

Awesome Game. Enjoyed the overall concept and gameplay. really enjoyed the 10 seconds factor you imlemented in the game. A little more work from the SFX sides would have done wonder. But still a great job keep it up. Please do check out my submission as well.
This was a surprisingly fun experience, the mechanics are simple but addictive which is exactly what I look for in a LD game! the game is chaotic with non stop action, though there is no health system so I killed the enemies mainly so that they don't stick to my face lol
I think the game could use some more polish when it comes to enemy interactions and behaviors. also maybe multiple levels would make a great variety, but anyway the gameplay look is pretty fun! nice game. also bonus point for going low level with SDL I always like a fellow nerd
My thoughts on the game after playing it for a few minutes: Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "enemies" didn't seem to pose *any* threat at all, there really doesn't seem to be a concept of health, other than the 10 second timer that ticks down, but that didn't appear to go down faster when I got "hit" by the enemies. If the enemies were supposed to damage me there really should've been some clear indicator that this was happening. Also the sound could've used quite a bit more work I think, the shotgun sound was very unsatisfying, it really would've benefitted from a proper shotgun explosion sound. Also the sound the enemies made became very annoying after a short period so that could've either used some work, or fewer enemies from the start.
The graphics weren't half bad, although I noticed the camera rotation wasn't clamped so I accidentally turned the camera upside down.
Overall the game needs polish, but keep at it! -Peter

The game has got a good action vibe to it, though it was a bit chaotic and I had problems with my mouse inverted (probably from turning more then 90° up/downwards). The 10 seconds timer fits the theme pretty good, would be nice if the enemies would hurt you though :)
Took me a while to realize that I don't get hurt by "enemies". Overall I like the high energy of it all, though I have to say, I expect a shotgun to sound a bit... heavier ;)

Good game and cool graphics
Looks good and controls well! I especially like the sound the enemies make! I would definitely consider toning down the animation on the enemies though, it's a bit a hard to look at if they get close to you. And as others have said, maybe slow things down a bit at the start so that the player isn't getting jumped before they even realize what kind of game they're playing, haha.

This game appears to be very stunning! I like how crazy the game seems. I loved the gameplay, especially hearing the noises of the enemies as they approached! I know there is a cross-hair after you shoot; it would be more pleasant to have a cross hair permanently for the weapon to make shooting easier. The environment is really stunning. This is an excellent game! Excellent job! It's amazing! Thank you for a great time! :D
Hi, @hora-timer ! Glad to see you around! Guilherme here and I'll leave my feedback in portuguese, since I know it's your main language, ok?
Cool game!
The visuals are very beautiful and the mechanics are interesting, but could be a little more worked on, at first I was pretty lost on what to do, all those objects moving on the screen left me a little disoriented, but then I figured out what to do, maybe some indicator that helps the player improve gameplay.
I also noticed that enemies are inoffensive and don't damage or do anything to the player.
About the menu, I found the design very cool and I also found it very interesting that you put links to your discord, facebook and youtube, some links seem to have ads to access, my tip would be to remove this and put a direct link, people can give up accessing the page because of the impracticality of closing the ads.
Overall, great job and congratulations on being a part of Ludum Dare!
