LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Decaedia by arzi 2022-10-04T01:16:39Z

Let me just start out by saying the art in this game is very very impressive. And how much you guys have gotten done in this short amount of time is also impressive. But I could not get very far in this game.

The "every ten seconds" theme does not seem very prevalent, some cut scenes seemingly randomly triggered and didn't make much sense for the story, and at one point I just got sent back to the beginning of the game again (starting with the cutscene), so I got a little frustrated and stopped. I can totally tell that with more time to work out the kinks, this could be an awesome game. But right now it's hard to get a handle on.

I would love to try playing again after a little bit more time is added to the game however! I'm really liking the direction.

Rightful by jirrev 2022-10-04T20:32:11Z

I liked the perspective and camera movement on this one. It felt very clean. Unfortunately, the game did crash for me when I got to wave 40, but I had fun regardless! I would agree with what someone said earlier, the white circle indicators for the towers is very distracting. I also wish I could get stats or information on what the buildings did exactly. otherwise, well done!

Le Petit Jardin by auxC 2022-10-03T23:19:01Z

What a lovely game. I definitely spent more time than I thought I would playing this, and it was a very chill experience. Graphics are amazing, and the sound design is very crisp. I wish there were more easter eggs!

Sinister Urbanism by SudoCat 2022-10-05T01:37:48Z

I wish I could try a completed version of this game! Sadly, a lot of the rough edges put me off and made it hard for me to enjoy it. There weren't any clear indicators during the game that showed me how well I was doing or if my ideas were working, and I just had to hope things were working out for 5 mins of gameplay or so.

That being said, I really enjoyed the art and music! It was definitely a vibe

You Have a Call by dp3rucha 2022-10-03T21:37:26Z

Interesting concept. I had trouble finding what my objective was at first, but I did have fun reading the different dialogues and seeing what different options lead to.

Lys by VPhyre 2022-10-04T05:44:15Z

The art style was AMAZING! There were a few bugs with the game (I passed some levels even though I didn't beat the game), bu I had fun playing it! To reiterate, I LOVED the art style !!!

Homunculus Heist by Ry-for 2022-10-03T21:56:22Z

I definitely got jump scared a couple times! The ramping up of speed really made me feel more adrenaline, which was a really nice touch. Lasted 1:10 on my best run (pun intended).

110% by SciDev 2022-10-05T01:46:04Z

awesome awesome AWESOME! love the art direction and the movement felt very fluid. Audio was very loud, but I really enjoyed the other aspects of this game! I really liked the main menu doodle feel as well. Loved it.

Pot10n by Kousetsu 2022-10-04T05:05:02Z

I really REALLY liked the concept here. I feel like it could be a very puzzle game if a couple of the kinks were worked out.

Maybe I missed it, but I wish there was a way to check what the potions did without having to restart the game. some of the movement is a bit clunky, and the animations dont always match. For example, sometimes I start the round in the falling animation. Also, the 10 seconds to prepare before the level is a bit much when you've been trying he level a few times, but I understand that you did it for the theme. I just feel like it hurts the game overall.

But I did enjoy the game! Thank you for that!

10s Bar Brawl by Cedric86 2022-10-03T21:48:29Z

It was fun to knock chairs around and the hammer thing was my favorite weapon. I liked what happened when I tried to quit the game. Got you some humor points there!

Don't Go Into the Light by Jaco van Hemert 2022-10-03T22:54:51Z

The movement felt fun, and the story mixed with the music really made me feel the intensity. great game!

Escape From Planet Earth! by saintchristopher777 2022-10-03T23:01:27Z

Nice progression. The sound effects were a lot louder than the music, but I like some of the hand drawn feel of the art!

Rush Hour by SephoWepho 2022-10-03T22:15:31Z

Wow! I'm pretty impressed by this game. Something fun I noticed is that I started out putting the ingredients nicely and in order, but as the line got bigger, I just started piling everything in the middle of the sandwich (much like a real fast-food worker would haha). The visuals are very nice as well, and the sound effects work well.

My only gripes would be that 5 minutes is too long for a game like this (that's 60 orders!) That being said, I did beat the game in a couple tries even though some people were left in line. I loved the humorous story telling.

One quality of life change I would suggest is putting the order in the top middle of the screen. Looking back and forth to the bottom right to see the menu can be very tiresome.

But all in all, well done! I really enjoyed it. Keep it up!

Impact-Effect by IdeasPerSecond 2022-10-03T23:59:02Z

Very very fun game. I could definitely spend some time playing it.

Small bug I found was that the music doubled up once I lost and it was playing the song twice (not a bit issue, just restart)

The UI was very nice and the game felt very smooth. well done!

Dubious Arcade by ocwal 2022-10-03T22:23:26Z

Boop the snoot was my favorite mini game! Reminded me of the Wario Ware minigames. Some of the games took a second to figure out the controls for, but I had fun, I just have to try with some friends now!

Spooky Glitch by nicorm 2022-10-03T22:34:10Z

Got 30! The art style was nice (worked especially well in the bat game). The zombie jumping one was definitely the most tricky!

RunCubungus by williewlchew 2022-10-04T04:38:41Z

The music was very fun!! Gameplay wise, I struggled to feel like I was progressing, and I only felt like I was walking around and avoiding stuff, but I enjoyed my time doing so!

Sandcastles by paloobi 2022-10-04T01:01:42Z

I definitely loved the touch of the waves breaking down the sandcastles the most. I wish there was a way to erase or break down some of the stuff you built since you can't build everything on top of each other.

Phantom of Time by Lemare 2022-10-04T05:30:47Z

I had fun with this! I got a bit frustrated when I first played and didn't pick the upgrade in time (so I died), but I kept trying and got a score of 214! Interesting ideas and upgrades, but some of them counteracted each other. So I would choose and upgrade for one, and it could be completely countered by the next. It would be better (imho) if the upgrade still had a slight gain after each other.

Clockwork Owl by spacefudge 2022-10-04T01:29:26Z

I don't quite see where the ten seconds comes into play (maybe I missed it?), but I did enjoy the short nostalgia trip!

Enemies always make big speeches by Thiefaine 2022-10-03T22:39:25Z

Some very fun mechanics in here, and the art is awesome! I especially liked bouncing my arrows off the wall to hit the boss twice. I wish there was more!

Justin Time: Man of the Hour by applecore555 2022-10-04T20:53:08Z

I had fun with this one! Very well done for a ludem dare. My only critiques would be:

It was kind of difficult to target enemies sometimes, and you could just end up using a card on and empty space

The indicator for how much time left you had, how much damage you did, and how much health you have were not very clear. If you only have 10 seconds to make decisions for your turn, everything needs to be as readable and instantly digestible as possible.

It was sometimes difficult to click on the intended card (it would kind of bug out)

Lastly, I wish there was more enemy variety.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this, the music was fun and it was an interesting/fun concept to play with. And I love roguelikes hehe

The Dawn by Hora-Timer 2022-10-04T05:19:00Z

This game is very chaotic. That really could be used in a good way, but at the point it's at right now, I had trouble staying with it. The graphics were interesting, and I liked the idea for it, but I just wish there was more for me to do.

LD53 — Delivery

RIP: Ridiculously Injury Prone by theArtifacts 2023-05-01T23:11:04Z

Nice game! I could definitely see the potential as well as the work that was put in!

Mouse Mail by Mateu 2023-05-01T23:12:59Z

@shamantramp Haha, love the pun. Thank you so much, and thanks for playing!

Mouse Mail by Mateu 2023-05-03T22:05:43Z

@dan-allison You're too kind! I'm glad you could enjoy it!!

De-livery by Sylf 2023-05-08T20:03:23Z

It was a little difficult to control exactly how I wanted, but it was a very unique idea! well done

Fraud!! by Sean Atterbury 2023-05-04T03:07:58Z

The hardest part of this game was withstanding the sound of a thousand sprinklers. Was it worth spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on my home sprinkler system in order to avoid taxes? Yes. Yes it was. Taxation is tough man. 6/10

The last help by Linkway 2023-05-08T19:57:13Z

very interesting game. definitely took a turn i wasnt expecting, but i enjoyed it!

Project Spirit by Naive Games 2023-05-03T18:10:15Z

Very cute game. I don't think other's realized that their message could be seen by others eventually (I didn't until later), so I think that's the reason for some of the random ones, but other than that and the simple letters, I loved it. Well done :)

Of Mice and Mail by ShamanTramp 2023-05-01T23:23:28Z

That's some funky music! The graphic and music are both amazing. The game was pretty fun too! One thing I realized is that you could spam the mouse button because the swing animation is only visual. Made it to 49000$ with that, haha. That mouse is going to jail for a long time

LD54 — Limited Space

PIO by sbeif 2023-10-05T19:35:29Z

pretty fun! I really like the concept and see potential in it. Audio was a bit lacking and the constantly screeching eagles was a bit much, but it was enjoyable.

Silicon Boulevard 2 - No Space to Kill by David Mason 2023-10-13T18:42:01Z

Cool concept. if you had a bigger team or more time, it could be something super interesting. Ignoring the effect the time constraint probably had on you guys, I feel like the ideas for a unique story game are all here. The character design is also super super cool. well done!

No Cats! by Raphiell 2023-10-21T02:37:30Z

Very fun game and concept! The art was great as well. Screw the AI overlords!

Astro Bastion by Soul Grinder 2023-10-05T01:06:27Z

Puzzles reminded me of pokemon gyms, I had fun! music was a bop as well.

Space Ltd. by Jon Curtin 2023-10-05T00:58:01Z

fun entry! enjoyed using the gravity of the planet to fling around, just wish there were more stages

Considerate Inferno by AidanBacon 2023-10-03T20:43:35Z

Cool idea! Blowing up the cars was pretty fun, haha. Couldn't crack the code on the last level, but enjoyed regardless

LD55 — Summoning

Eye See Demons by designernap 2024-04-21T05:04:27Z

Controls were a bit wonky, and the big runes really limited vision, I would have preferred if the darkness played that role more than the UI. The story was interesting and engaging, and there was a solid mood in the game. I think this game would have benefitted from the skills just being more impactful, but I still had a good time playing.

Nose Deep In A Book by Yorsh 2024-04-16T02:02:34Z

Well made but frustrated the hell out of me.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-21T05:13:31Z

Pretty polished game, just wish the ending was more satisfying. Definitely looks like there could be a lot of depth to this idea, I enjoyed it! The animation on the hands was awesome, and the art in general was great. Good job!

Conjurer's Cup by dreamscale 2024-04-21T04:43:21Z

This game was a game that made me so frustrated that I had to keep replaying until I won, but I could not win. Interesting idea that would be fun with pvp.

Summoned to Another World to Fight the Demon Lord! by Asieke 2024-04-21T04:51:00Z

It's tough to find words to describe how I'm feeling. Just wow.

Purgatory Pizza Protection Plan by SnowShino 2024-04-21T05:37:49Z

Felt impossible to lose with just one flamethrower, and there's no real end, but if you balance it and keep going with this idea, it could turn into a pretty fun tower defense game!

Party Wizard by braktheman 2024-04-21T04:29:24Z

I will be excellent moving forwards, giving the constitution to a boy who needs medical help was not the play.

Bring on the Blocks by alzhu1 2024-04-21T21:56:48Z

Simple but effective game. Definitely would have loved some more complicated puzzles, but this is a solid start to a puzzle game

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Bento Bugs by superjai 2024-10-10T06:45:00Z

what a great entry. sound design is on point, just wish there were some audio sliders since it was pretty loud. You ramp up very quickly, which is perfect for a game jam, but I can definitely see a longer version of this being a very successful mobile game. Well done guys!

Chirpy's Adventure by DJTequila 2024-10-11T21:20:31Z

nice entry to the game jam! attacking stopping momentum made movement feel not very fluid, and I got pushed out of bounds by a lowering platform, lol, but I like the idea for the game with a mix of platforming and puzzle solving. I like where everything was heading, well done

TiNY's GardEEn by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2024-10-07T19:26:57Z

cute little game about protecting tiny creatures. I definitely see more potential if there were different creatures you had to protect that wanted different food and you had to manage all that while protecting them well done!

Metamorph by Renier 2024-10-09T05:09:08Z

Pretty fun game, changing based on what you needed was a cool idea, but i definitely would have liked more enemy variation, and checkpoints would have been nice. But overall i had fun. Thanks!

Pill Sub by Nikolas van Rus 2024-10-12T16:53:26Z

For some reason the task bar at the bottom stopped even though the engines were running and the fuel was full, I thought eventually something would happen, but I let the ship go down after killing 366 viruses. Not sure what went wrong, but ignoring that I thought the game was pretty fun! Maintaining the ship was overwhelming at first, but once you understand the flow of things, you can keep the ship alive endlessly. I think this would be a fun game with multiplayer and some sort of control station to move the ship. Nicely done overall though!

Goo Patrol by Mateu 2024-10-09T02:13:40Z

@zyppi The ending idea came from an offhand joke that we thought was too funny. It really doesn't make sense, you're right, but those goos are goin home, and the quickest way is by train. Thanks for playing!

I'm Next! by Beeb GameCodeCompany 2024-10-09T22:55:32Z

those voice lines made me chuckle a few times, haha. Nice entry, would have liked more levels though!

Mimic by Lizz 2024-10-09T05:19:22Z

unfortunately the music is bringing up a 404 error for me, but this took me back to when i would read so many choose your own adventure books. definitely would have loves some graphics or something to draw me deeper into the story, but it was still fun to try a few routes.

Dishes by LJ Wei 2024-10-11T04:41:43Z

the art for this is incredible, such a cute game! i love the art style change when you get bigger as well. Obviously you know what things are missing from the game, but I like where you were heading with everything. nicely done :)

MushMush by Leykal 2024-10-09T02:24:43Z

the art is amazing in the game and the animations are great. excellent work on that. I do wish there was a little more to the game, but the vibe and experience alone was great. well done!

For you my Lord by Maïssa 2024-10-11T21:31:34Z

Some improvement I could see useful would be if you could see some sort of indicator of where the king would be before he falls, the option to make the king fall early so you don't have to wait the full timer, and better indication on how many of the little creature you could use and more restrictions and variations on that. Overall though I like the ideas you put forward, and the silly vibe of the game worked well (the gta death sound was funny). Nice game!

Roly Poly Derby by bertobui 2024-10-07T19:59:22Z

I AM THE GRAND CHAMPION!!! I had a lot of fun playing this game, it rewards reaction time and the ability to predict the trajectory of you and your opponent. I can see so much potential with different maps and abilities, and multiplayer? Only thing it was missing was audio. Not sure if it was just broken for me or if there is no audio, but it would really make the game more satisfying and intense. Very well done though. Art was fire too.

Tiny Terrors by ArtAllester 2024-10-07T19:37:12Z

fun vampire survivor-like game. audio was pretty grating, but the game was fun. When I tried to resist the mutation I lost, and I was a bit confused by that. A bit more direction would be nice. Overall, the art is nice, the game is pretty fun, and I like the little dialogue that kind grandma with a glock has.

Gramlins by matchaberi 2024-10-11T22:34:31Z

Art and music do a lot for this game, it definitely puts you in a certain mood when you play it. The problem I see with the game is that there's not really much incentive to make the little creatures multiply. It adds more work without much reward if your goal is to just last a long time. Overall though, the mood of the game was great, and with more work I could definitely see this as a mindless game to sink some time into if there was progression.

LD57 — Depths

Strafe To Hell by alexrose 2025-04-08T22:03:11Z

The graphics and concept were really fun. I wish there was some volume control or something in-game, but I just lowered it through windows. There were a lot of sounds going on at once that made it hard to actually listen to what the tour guide was saying. My ears just tried to tune her out after a while because it was so constant. The idea that the overheating powers your bullets was a cool mechanic, I just felt like drilling was too powerful. It was almost always the better option over shooting the enemies. The intro cinematic was really funny, I appreciated the effort put in that. I also wish there was more enemy variation. Also, everything I said should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm pointing out the things I see as issues because I see a lot of potential with this game. well done guys

Inner Worlds by ryusui 2025-04-12T18:37:51Z

A lot of cool stuff in this game! Some sort of map and an alert for new abilities would be very much appreciated, but I understand with the time limitation. The parts of the game where I struggled were when I got lost, or when I didn't realize I had unlocked a new ability with one of the characters. More enemy types would be a cool idea too. Overall though, I thought this was a fun unique game, you did well!

Where's My Pants?! by gamesplusjames 2025-04-10T05:22:45Z

My biggest issue with the game is that if you just race to your pants, your depth meter doesn't get lowered fast enough to really punish you. Because of that, the game only took around 2 minutes to beat. I think it would be a lot of fun to have a longer level as well as a way to raise your depth meter back up to sustain on a long level.

The Offering Well by sepjani 2025-04-13T07:11:39Z

It definitely has to be tuned a little bit to give the player the feeling that they're having an impact on the game. Right now, I could just spam bring coins to the well until I eventually win. I think some more time before waves where you could strategize and collect the gold laying on the floor would be nice. I see the direction the game is going, though, and it looks like there's some fun ideas. Well done!

JetMine by Thomas Higgins 2025-04-09T22:19:44Z

I liked how quick the jet pack moved, it was kind of hard to control, but that made it fun. I wish there was a way to check the order without being by the airship, and more upgrades to yourself would be cool; like a bigger fuel tank or bigger bag. Overall, this is a good start towards a bigger idea! The deeper cave music was a jam!

Mr. Money's Phenomenally Soggy Water Removal Romp by Rhoka 2025-04-10T05:11:09Z

Really concise and well-made game for a game jam. I'm not a huge fan of clickers, but I found it fun to explore to find the items for the upgrades. It's a cool idea to have more to do in a clicker once the production rate is really high. The music was great, sometimes the music would stop for a minute or two before coming back tho. The humor was great too, it added to the overall vibe of the game. Overall, great job guys!

Leap of Faith by Kyrios 2025-04-13T01:13:40Z

As everyone else has said, the art and the music are both very on point! I do wish there was more to the game though. It's very simple, but the inclusion of the final boss was a nice touch. It's almost a variation of bullet hell games, but only dodging and no shooting (except for the boss). If there was no timer, I don't think I would replay the game, BUT I see potential in there being multiple levels with leaderboard times. Also, pretty sure I got world record if that counts for anything, lol.leap of faith time.png

Leap of Faith by Kyrios 2025-04-13T03:03:17Z

@Nomus Yeah, I used two hands on the mouse to click faster, lol

Depths of Hell by GabrielGameDev 2025-04-08T21:07:27Z

A lot of good things in this game! The music is sick, the narration is funny, and the mechanics keep evolving as you play, which is fun. There are a few things that made this game unnecessarily frustrating to play though. The fact that dying from objects returns you to a checkpoint, but dying from the lava sends you back to the start just feels bad as a mechanic. Also, the choice to have the mouse button be dash for a keyboard platformer is uncomfortable. I also didn't memorize what the dash hotkey was, so when that mechanic was introduced, I panic pressed buttons on my keyboard to try to dash but died in what felt like an unfair way. That last one can simply be fixed by having some on screen text to remind the player how to dash when it's introduced. Overall, the aspects of the game that feel unintuitive to the player can mostly be fixed fairly quickly. And again, banger music. Well done!

Temple of Hands by coyotethursday 2025-04-12T17:32:34Z

As a drummer, I was excited to see a game about polyrhythms. It's a very cool concept, and I could even see it being used as a learning tool. The issue I had was that the visual of what to play was not very clear. From what I can tell, there was a demonstration (that you could play during without being punished) then it would repeat where you had to play along. I think it should be made very clear that it is a demonstration, and it should show how long it is demonstrating for. My first playthrough I would start playing what I thought was the pattern before the demonstration was over without realizing there was more to it (usually when the pattern shifted halfway through). I think if the demonstration period was clear, and there was a clear indication of the pattern, this game would be very useful. My first playthrough I actually lost all my fingers on the first pattern because I was looking at the rotating circle in the background and copying that pattern, and I was very confused on what was going on until I stopped playing along to notice the hands doing a slightly different rhythm. I think that rotating circle could serve as the visual for what you have to play. Cool game though, the visuals and sound were all on point, I don't have much to say about them.

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-09T20:54:45Z

Our games feel like they're in a similar vein, haha. Definitely a fun mechanic, but also super frustrating, which I think fits the genre. I could see someone getting really good and fluid with the movement. I played for about 20 minutes and got stuck on the double diamond jump. It was still fun though! I just got skill checked haha.

I escaped, but I feel even more gloomy outside than I did in the cave.

Down the Rabbit Hole by Mirinae 2025-04-08T20:33:16Z

art is so well done! I wish there was a more conclusive end though. Or maybe I didn't get to the end correctly? either way, it was a nice little undertale clone. If I were to try and give some constructive criticism it would be that the combat attacks happen really suddenly sometimes, it'd be nice to have just half a second before the attacks come in. The third battle also repeated attacks on me, I'm unsure if that was a bug or if it was by design to make the final fight harder, but that should be made more clear to the player. And finally, I wish the talking had more impact on gameplay, not just text, but I also understand the time limitation. Overall I had fun! well done guys
