Heya, this is password locked currently, is that related to the disclaimer about your unity key?

doomky 2025-04-08 09:03

Hello! same goes for me I cannot play the game because of the password

alexrose 2025-04-08 17:44

ahh I meant to put the itch.io page on private until chaz makes the page look pretty but it doesn't look like there's a way to make i listable but not publicly findable. well, I just unlocked it, chaz can fix it later when he's back from work

Excellent work all round. Graphics, and audio are top notch. The concept is great. I did find the mouse cursor a little hard to see on the white background, but it's not a deal breaker. I had lots of fun playing this. Good stuff :8ball:

The graphics and concept were really fun. I wish there was some volume control or something in-game, but I just lowered it through windows. There were a lot of sounds going on at once that made it hard to actually listen to what the tour guide was saying. My ears just tried to tune her out after a while because it was so constant. The idea that the overheating powers your bullets was a cool mechanic, I just felt like drilling was too powerful. It was almost always the better option over shooting the enemies. The intro cinematic was really funny, I appreciated the effort put in that. I also wish there was more enemy variation. Also, everything I said should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm pointing out the things I see as issues because I see a lot of potential with this game. well done guys

oh damn, we actually have a camera reticule but when you do [camera].ScreenToWorldPos(Vector2 in) it actually returns (x,y, -10) so it was appearing behind the camera's near clip. that's annoying. just set it to cast to vector2 and reupped, should be fixed

"Are you ready to re-live your childhood? Down here, everyone is fighting all the time" Felt like playing a game straight out of Newgrounds back in the 2010s, spectacular work. The music was wicked good too

Not sure if it's related to your issues with Itch page before, but I don't see a way to play it now? (Not here, and not on itch) If it's a webgl game, you can put it here on the page too, btw, it no longer needs to be on Itch.

alexrose 2025-04-09 14:41

@tiar it should be visible now? dunno what happened there, I think when fixing the page. it's not webgl yet. maybe I will do that later

That speaker is insane, what a ride !!

catusfelony 2025-04-09 18:46

This is sooo lovely, I couldn't resist the adorable thumbnail first of all. I really liked the commentary throughout the tour but I couldn't really understand the mechanics while playing, I kept getting additional weapons but I wasn't quite sure why, changing between depths to recover was definitely interesting.

Unfortunately, I think I died during the transition point between Violence and Fraud, and when that happened, the tour pod didn't spawn back in, I got through the entire Fraud phase without fighting (I was gone) and then got to the boss fight and couldn't do anything x3

Thanks Alex for sharing it in my streamchat yesterday. Had fun playing the game :)

THERE'S NO FREAKING WAY THAT THIS IS REAL OMG IT'S AMAZING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

[Thanks for submitting your game to stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2430455310?t=02h30m38s)

This was a really cool take on the traditional SHMUP genre. I like how you had to play a little risky by refilling your ammo in the lava.

And as usual, all of the audio in the game, from the music to the voice acting, was top-notch :ok_hand:

An excellent polished experience as always. I love your games! It is a pleasure to play them every time. When you introduced the DoF mechanic, it took everything to another level!

eugenik 2025-04-14 01:33

sooo nice!.

philstrahl 2025-04-17 16:54

Wow what a ride! Very polished throughout and so many jokes, omg! Music slaps as well! I had some issues understanding when exactly I’d run out of juice in the frantic gameplay but that was reaally minor. And you definitely should make a stickers of the icon! For reference, here's the VOD of my stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-LpcE-OANM

Jeez things got hectic at the end me dude! Yeah this had that wonderful Newgrounds vibe of the day, damn good stuff, humour on point too, overall damn good. Sometimes I didn't quite get the bullet meter/lava thing but if I just dipped into that sometimes, things all worked out in the end. Good stuff!

I really enjoyed the game aesthetically and the voice acting was great, but I think the gameplay could use some work. I didn't find myself needing to use the depth-of-field change mechanic often, and when I did the demons on the other layers blocked my view and made it difficult to tell what was going on. I found it much easier to just stay on one depth the whole time, which is a shame because it's a really interesting mechanic. Similarly, it also took so much sustained fire from the cannons to kill the demons that I just ended up using the drill for everything, and then in the later levels when there were too many demons onscreen to deal with I was able to kite them all to the center by flying in circles and just sort of let them accumulate until the level changed. I really like the idea of needing to balance health and reloading theoretically, but I think it would need some re-balancing in order to work well. The mechanics in this game were really cool and creative, but it felt like the gameplay discouraged me from engaging with them.

jeremy-ryan 2025-04-24 04:25

Nice entry! This was a fun concept executed with just the right amount of silliness.

The depth-of-field mechanic was cool in principle, but in practice it was difficult to interact with, especially when there were enemies closer to the camera than you were since they covered everything up. I also felt like some of the gameplay values could be tweaked --- it felt like enemies took a lot of hits to kill, while at the same time I was never in meaningful danger (I didn't even notice the bar filling up until the boss fight, when it got to maybe 10 or 15 percent).

The art, voiceover, and overall vibe and storytelling were fantastic. I really liked the juxtaposition of the frantic shmup gameplay on top of completely irrelevant jokes and quips as you're hurtling into hell, and the art style matched that feeling perfectly. I particularly liked cute little sheep satan.

Thanks for making this and good luck for the rest of play and rate!
