Vibes are fantastic, cool style, really like it Hitting the beat was a bit difficult for me personally, it could use some difficulty modes I guess

peppersalt07 2025-04-08 06:06

AaaaAAEehrgh i love htis ;-;

Really unique atmosphere and hypnotic in more ways than one, which is arguably a rhythm games most important quality :D

I think the difficulty is perfect, especially as its mostly optional considering the game allows you to engage at your own pace. Cool stuff all around.

This is immaculate. Not a big fan of rhythm stuff but this is really fun

So weird it's awesome! Such a cool game!

Very trippy and unique game, definitely haven't seen something like that before :)

I feel like there is some input-lag for the instruments and / or the sound files have a slight bit of silence at the start which makes the notes a bit hard to hit. But for a one person project I am definitely impressed!

I really really like this premise and the presentation. I wasn't able to get my audio sync correct to pass the first level, unfortunately.

I've got my favorite game and I'd wish for this to get into further development. As a dance teacher and a person that teaches and still learns daily about music and rhythms this was just pure joy to play! I was so ready for a 5/4 beat combined with a 2/4, haha. Reall awesome!

The atmosphere has been donce nicely, as well, mostly because of the dramatic music, the hectic movement of the circle and the weird hands.

Stay awesome!

Whoa this was craaaaazy unique! I always enjoy rhythm games and this one was a lot of fun.

I do feel like it was a bit harder than it should have been to see the pattern. Once I got it, I often found myself saying "oh that's it? It looked way more complex." Maybe during the demonstration phase, rather than the hands just appearing, they either translate in from the side or something a quarter or half second before they are played, letting the player know that it's about to hit. And then maybe no hands at all for the player's input phase? I'm not sure it that would do it, I just found that my brain was hurting trying to recognize the patterns.

Great job though, once I got each pattern the game worked perfectly, so the difficulty was all on me, the game felt very well made and responsive to control.

As a drummer, I was excited to see a game about polyrhythms. It's a very cool concept, and I could even see it being used as a learning tool. The issue I had was that the visual of what to play was not very clear. From what I can tell, there was a demonstration (that you could play during without being punished) then it would repeat where you had to play along. I think it should be made very clear that it is a demonstration, and it should show how long it is demonstrating for. My first playthrough I would start playing what I thought was the pattern before the demonstration was over without realizing there was more to it (usually when the pattern shifted halfway through). I think if the demonstration period was clear, and there was a clear indication of the pattern, this game would be very useful. My first playthrough I actually lost all my fingers on the first pattern because I was looking at the rotating circle in the background and copying that pattern, and I was very confused on what was going on until I stopped playing along to notice the hands doing a slightly different rhythm. I think that rotating circle could serve as the visual for what you have to play. Cool game though, the visuals and sound were all on point, I don't have much to say about them.

This was crazy cool!! I love the aesthetic, the music, and playing correctly was very satisfying! Like others said, it was pretty difficult to understand when you were supposed to play, many times I did a pattern during the "watch" phase and got confused as to why it was showing me red hands xD though I got the hang of it, and thank god losing all my fingers didn't make me lose because I ended up with 1x0!!

The vibes were immaculate! Gameplay though ... could use some work

Loved this entry. I wish I didn't run out of time to play it, as watching the video I am happy to see I made it all the way to around the 3:56 mark in terms of the pattern I left on. I think the game oozes style, the hand and eye imagery was very cool, super alien and otherworldly, and in general I thought it definitely was fittign for the bizarre polyryhythms totally alien to your average rhythm game. I'm no musical expert but I love regular rhythm games so it was a fun jaunt outside my comfort zone! I thought the bell would get annoying, but no! it meshes so nicely with everything.

Reading the comments, I didn't realise there was a demonstration period either. My biggest critique in general is just a lack of feedback and player guidance. The biggest thing I'd advocate for more than anything, is a live timeline showing how far through the pattern we are. I appreciate it might detract from the challenge a little, but trying to figure out where the pattern even begins is not an aspect of the challenge I personally enjoy. For example, if that halo in the background perhaps filled up like a loading bar, to show how far through the pattern we are, resetting again when it reaches the end? I think that alone would have helped a tonne with the playability, at least ot me!

In general though I think this is an awesome, stylish entry, and I hope you get enouhg votes to get a ranking!

Yes indeed its challanging, i made it to the stage with hand with eye and cannot progress any further. Style and idea is very well but it seems like it could have better instructions) Thanks!

That was so much fun! I loved the challenge and the trance it induced on me! The aesthetics are fantastic, both audial and visual. And narrative, hahah. 5/5 experience, will try to save some fingers on the next trip!

EDIT:

Nice, that felt great. If you add steam achievements I'll go for hitless ^^

This game gave me a lot of fun! It was very challenging to the end and for me a bit confusing at the start, but nothing too impossible to figure out - the very act of figuring this game out was pure delight. I made it through the end (ofc without any fingers left) and each one of beaten stages, when music and scenery shifted gave me a pure sense of acomplishement. Cherry on the top - the visual design with these hands straight from the nightmare IS INSANE, I LOVE IT
