I really liked this one, one of the best I have played so far. Good ramping up of mechinics and the choice on the upgrade was a nice touch. Good job here!

I really liked this one, one of the best I have played so far. Good ramping up of mechinics and the choice on the upgrade was a nice touch. Good job here!
UI looks great but I was unable to play the game on itch :( It's all black and nothing happens when I click.
I had a lot of fun playing this! At first I didn't swipe and get enough rockets blown up during the pauses, but quickly you learn you need to take that quick pause very seriously!
Good job!
Really well presented game :) I quite liked it :)
Very very fun game. I could definitely spend some time playing it.
Small bug I found was that the music doubled up once I lost and it was playing the song twice (not a bit issue, just restart)
The UI was very nice and the game felt very smooth. well done!
nice game it makes you want to play more-... i think i could teleport cursor between sides
I instantly got the concept and it clearly has a good tie-in to the theme. The game felt very polished, and I thought that adding the upgrades was a nice unexpected touch. I couldn't really tell if there was a dominant strategy - I mostly just tried to move my hand in circles and hope that I didn't hit too many missiles.
Outstanding!, I had so much fun playing this, go ahead and do a full game, I see potential.
AWESOME! That was so much fun. I found the numbers in the middle too distracting, but otherwise it was great. It was really hard to get full clears on level that had tonnes of little rockets, but so it goes.
Well done
Really cool game, really like this one
@jonathan-vinesar Thanks for the heads up!
@raphiell Thanks for the feedback, I will keep that in mind!
@kenzie If you want to give it a try, it should be fixed now!
Very cool. Love the clean presentation and overall aesthetic. Couple nitpicks: The trail of particles left behind by the enemies creates a lot of visual clutter, it might not be as bad if the enemies were a brighter color and not gray like the particle trail. Also, I didn't understand the attack phase until backing out and reading the itch page, consider saying "attack phase" in-game during attack phase for players like me who skipped instructions? Anyway, it's a great entry, congrats!
wow this was a blast ;)
Oh the music gets me so hyped! The slow-mo when you're attacking is soooo satisfying, I really enjoyed it. The dotted trails that enemies left behind are too similar to the enemy themselves though, maybe change up the size to make them more distinguishable from one another? It gets pretty hard to see which is which when there are 50 of them swarming around. I really liked the color scheme, kept me focus on the gameplay.
One of my favorites so far! Super fun, easy to get into and high level of polish. The music fits well with the gameplay.
Don't know if it's a bug but think I've had some of the enemy ships start the laser when I'm in the slo-mo phase. (They don't do damage though)
Put it in my LD51 favorites.
At the end of the 10 seconds I move my mouse frantically from left to right to kill all the enemies
Absolutely amazing game! Looks great, sounds great, feels great. Great job. The only slight "complaint" I have is that's it's a bit too short :D

I had a great time playing this game. I really love the concept, graphics, sound and presentation. You should definitely expand and continue working on this game in the future. Well done!
Yahhh what a game!! So fun! You absolutely need to continue working on that. Well done. Thanks for this great time. And thank you for your feedback on my game.
The best game I played so far on this ludumdare. So stylish and so polished. I am jealous =)
Holy crap, this was freaking awesome! Definitely the best game I've played so far. I love these kinds of minimalistic arcade-style games and this was just polished so heavily. Everything from the well-done menu and UI, to the clearly displayed player and enemies. It was a ton of fun to whip around and dodge and then try to clean up as many as possible as quick as possible. No feedback here other than unreal job!
The polish really sets this apart. It's a simple idea executed very, very well.
Very fun! Loved how pumped up you get from the music while dodging everything that gets thrown to you, really really fun and polished. Great work!
wow, super fun and really polished. impressive
Good design and nice game! I like it!
Very good game! Nice music and gfx. works flawlessly! great job!
Really fun game with a great idea behind it, looks and sounds awesome - five stars!
Really impressive game. The gameplay was really fun and smooth, and things happening on screen felt like they had a lot of impact. I think the sound design could have been a bit louder and helped the player know when missiles are getting closer, colliding etc. but that's a small complaint for an otherwise really solid entry.
So minimalistic and so cool! UI is very comfortable, and I liked also colntrols almost without any keys, only mouse dragging =) Easy and genius :sunglasses:
Wow, this is great! The minimalist graphics work super well, and the slow-mo and colour change when you shift into Attack Mode is so satisfying. The difficulty ramp feels just right, with a constant stream of new, more challenging enemy types to keep you on your toes, and while hits don't matter so much at the start, by the end you're struggling to avoid every hit you can because they deal so much damage. I sadly didn't reach Level 10, but I came close!
I can only describe this as sort of a combination of Missile Command and Fruit Ninja, and it was really well done and polished! I got to stage 10, and beat that level, and then just stuck in a loop in a void. Fantastic game and a ton of fun! Awesome job!
@arkinrev Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Wow, this was very slick! A simple concept but executed flawlessly! The only thing I'd add is sometimes when the pause happens , you'll get a missile sat on the edge of the screen and you'll miss the 'full wipe' bonus. Not sure how to solve that other than having the missiles start converging into the screen before the timer runs down, but that might get too predictable?
@johnnysix I didn't telegraph this to the player, but you only have to destroy the missiles in the center part of the screen; Missiles on the very edges don't count towards a full wipe bonus, and don't need to be hit. In the future, only missiles that count towards the bonus will be highlighted in red.
Probably my favorite entry so far in this jam. Simple, addicting and visually effective. It actually makes me a bit jealous that I can never come up with cool loops like these. Great work. Not even one nitpick from me.
Excellent game with top notch enemy design! I managed to beat I, but it took me a few tries. Just an absolute great entry all around. The minimalist art style, the way the enemies moved, and the great soundtrack you selected. Excellent work, I didn't want it to end.
You know what, I've played a lot of games this jam, but this has to be my favourite one of all. Its exactly the kind of game jam entry I want to play. Kept me hooked all the way to VICTORY screen. The idea, the execution, the addictiveness, the juiciness, everything was tuned just right! Thank you for such a great game, 5 stars all around from me!
Can I make it to Level 10? You bet I can! Nice and intense, always ping-ponging between full health and the brink of death. It seemed like the best strategy was to just circle around the perimeter, would be cool to see an enemy that punishes that kind of behavior.
I completed the game on the third run! Absolutely fantastic! Visuals are great, I got the sense the game would great immediately I saw the UI, probably the one I have most enjoyed so far!
This is one of the best games. Only suggestion though, maybe add alternative keyboard controls? They probably aren't suitable for such a dynamic pace, but they might be more comfortable
My favorite game so far for this LD. Great use of the theme. Very polished all around great entry.
Great fast paced game. I'm not sure if the "tutorial" made any sense to me at first but the game was really easy to learn just by playing! Good job!
So cool! The graphics are amazing! Especially the UI! The game feels really good and is fun to play! I like that delay effect in the music syncs up with the milliseconds in the counter! This is just so good! Great work!
Nice! I like the clean graphics style. The gameplay is very fun and chaotic. A very polished entry overall! But I would like it if upgrades had a bigger impact instead of small stats upgrades
Really nice entry! The tutorial was very well presented. When beginning gameplay I initially didn't think much of it but it soon became really engaging. I think it was the perfect amount of difficulty ramp as well, so that levels 9 and 10 felt very exciting, with a very present risk of losing, but I still managed to complete it on the first run. I think that's about as perfect as difficulty can get for a jam. Excellent work!
Absolutely beautiful graphics design. Core gameplay is the best I've seen so far, mad fun, albeit not the most creative spin on the 10 second theme. Add some more inpactful/interesting upgrades and you got yourself a great iphone timekiller.
Nice game with solid visuals and intuitive controls :D
Nice game when I saw the tutorial it felt a bit overwelming but it was really easy to play. Nice work
really great entry! art is minimalistic yet very nice and polished, music is dope, controls are super smooth!
i was a bit distracted by the countdown in the middle of the screen, which is the only issue i've found.
Finally a game with truely engaging gameplay! As a bonus this game also excells in every other aspect - minimalistic graphics, sound, the overall style, optimization (appreciated tiny size) - everything seems fit. Best game I played this jam so far.
Well presented and explained game. Really liked it.
Really good and polished game! I liked your idea and your take on the theme a lot, and the execution was just right (super smooth controls, great game balance, strong visual identity). I also love the amount of effort put in drawing a clear and complete tutorial. The only change I'd suggest is to make the ship integrity more visible, as I was blind to the small bar in the lower part of the screen until I died (probably because I was concentrating on the middle of the screen and on the ship itself). This being said, I believe this is a really strong entry, good job!
Very cool entry!
I loved the visuals, especially in the menu. I clicked all the items multiple times only to see the cool transitions!
The game mechanic is really cool, and quite simple. In my opinion, it is actually that simple, that you shouldn't have bothered writing the tutorial and all those instructions on your LD page. To be honest, I found them quite unclear, and just started the game without understanding or knowing what to expect, to finally find out that the gameplay was straightforward.
The music was a bit annoying in the end, but I guess it's just due my personal taste.
Great job!
Nice entry! Initially when I saw the controls were just moving the mouse around the screen that it'd be too easy to avoid stuff but it was actually a good challenge! Nice job
So close...Screenshot (263).png This game was AMAZING! Definetly one of the best entries. The gameplay felt super good, loved the art style. Great job!!
Very exciting game. I cleared it on my first playthrough. I barely triggered the lasers or the acceleration missiles kept me from taking much damage.
Overall well done
Awesome and really creative game.
nice and clean, was able to beat it! I like the upgrade system and the variation of enemies. I was able to usually dodge most things save some missiles exploding. I did like the sort of are of denial effects from the laser, it would be interesting if the screen was broken up is more ways like that. Overall nice job!
This game was definitely one of the best I've played so far in this LD. Incredible UI, good mechanics and challenging gameplay. I really loved the whole experience and the SFX as well. Great job! The only thing I would consider is to make it a little bit more difficult: I didn't put much effort to survive the first 5 rounds and I thought the game would have increased in difficulty more over time. Great job anyway!
The game is very fun to play, and look very polish. Had a blast playing it. Great job!
The UI, the transitions and the art style in general is top-notch. Also the sound design and music. Well done!
The framerate in the browser was quite unstable for this type of game. A native build would have probably helped a lot.
Overall, a very solid entry. In my opinion eveything is on a high level. Very polished entry and loved the consitency of the game design. Just to give a little bit of feedback to improve upon, I have had problems seeing missiles with my peripheral vision. Bright white particles, flames of rockets and other noise was cluttering my perception severly, making it harder to play. But, once again, a very solid entry, hope to see you high in the rankings!
The overall feeling is great! I especially like the UI design of the game. Great work!
Wown so clean, and so fun! I'm pretty peeved to have died at level 9, but honeslty was a *blast* to play! I had to change my managing techniques every time a new enemy type appeared, so I never felt like I found "the cheat". Pretty neat idea to not count __every__ missile on screen for a full wipe bonus, because that would've been annoying
Congrats on this very cool entry!
Cool game! I liked the random skills and progression. I also enjoyed the different enemy types. I wish the bomb enemies would destroy fellow enemies, or trigger other bombs in chain effect. That would be cool :)
I like very much by
This is really fun! Love it! A bit easy maybe. I was surprised to see that it can actually be won, and not an endless score attack.
The visual feedback and player progression system is amazing. I was curious about the algorithm for generating enemy waves, in my game I did everything very random, in fact there is no progression in waves, the difficulty is casual and is in the enemies that survive between waves. Thanks, great game!
Very solid and clean game! Graphics, SFX, music, controls, and basically every aspect feels like it fits together very nicely. Really fun to play as well. I can only congratulate on an awesome game!
Very simple concept but very efficent ! It's hard but not to much it's very polish and clean, honestly I don't have any idea to make it better ^^
The game is so polished and well done! Also, a super fun and addictive concept. The minimal graphics compliment the gameplay and the music builds tension well. It even fits the theme perfectly. I seriously can't think of anything I didn't like about the game.
Very cool idea and well executed as well. Managed to beat it. Very well done. Great entry.
Never would've thought that such a simple game would invoke that Itano circus vibe. OpenLeafyBillygoat-size_restricted.gif
Everything just fits in perfectly, and was a wonderful treat to play though. The graphics were simple and clear to understand. The music fits to look and aesthetic. And the difficulty ramps up just right.
The best game I've played so far! Super clean graphics, gameplay, love the upgrades. This game is big mode.
Really, really neat game, it's so simple yet so effective ()! I think the mouse controls were literally the perfect choice for this, I couldn't have done it any better! I managed to beat it on my first try, which I'm gonna get a big head over ()! I loved the minimalist visual and auditory style, it does it's job super well!
Overall fantastic entry, you should be proud! Keep it up!
Very polished and solid game. I like your interpretation of theme and gameplay smoothness, well done! 5/5.
loved this game this is really polished !
I really liked your game! Great visual and sound design. The game is very fun to play. You did an execellent work!
All i gotta say....This game was illegaly too much fun
Whew, that was extremely fun. One of the best if not the best games so far.
Also you've somehow made 10 seconds feel like an eternity. Probably should've added milliseconds to countdown
The game is impressive in a way to make the simple sounds so fun and adictive to play. Great job!
On a personal level, this project plays like a mix of the "Luftrausers" and "Katana Zero" games. The first is based on the behavior of the opponents, and the second on bullet time. To this already good recipe add rogue-lite elements and get addictive gameplay on the background with stylish music, which draws replay again and again in it.
I honestly don't understand how people manage to do in 72 hours everything so well and holistically, the project is so polished that there are no controversial moments, even if I wanted to pick on it.
You are very cool! I wish you wouldn't leave the project at the prototype stage and bring it up to a full blown project. Very interesting which vector for the project you'll choose and which game design decisions you'll make. Will it be an emphasis on rhythm, like in the "BPM" game? Or will you go deeper into the direction of roguelikes? Or something completely different? I don't know, but I wish you all the best, thanks for the gaming experience!

I really like the level of polish you managed to pull of with this game!
@hellsquirrel You are very welcome! I am blown away by your thoughtful review! It means the world to me that you enjoyed your time with Impact-Effect!
I very much want to continue developing this project, and I would love to go for a full release, but Impact-Effect would need to place well in the jam for me to justify the time and effort it would take to make a full release a reality. Fingers crossed!
Thank you again for taking the time to rate, play, and write this uplifting review of Impact-Effect! I truly appreciate it!
:o Wow, very fun game! Very unique and clever mechanic! I'm hard-pressed to think of a game with the same level of really fast-paced spacing-based gameplay. The simple colors, shapes, and animations are all great. And the simple sounds and music work well too. I love the screen transitions as well. Really great game!
The only criticism I have is that my mouse would somewhat frequently freeze for 2 to 3 seconds, which usually had a pretty significant impact on my health!
This is a pretty sick game. I like it. The full wipe thing is cool, and the mechanics are so satisfying. I could play it all day if it was longer. Wish the final levels were harder though. Otherwise, pretty sick my dude.
@ukulelefury At what point in the game was your mouse freezing?
Really fun game! Love the different types of enemies and upgrades, adds lots of replayability.
I loved this game which in its principle is simple but terribly effective. The minimalist graphic design is just perfect, there is all the necessary feedback to inform the player and to delight the eyes. The soundtrack is top notch and the choice of the sound of the explosions gives an excellent sound rhythm, to the point where taking missiles was cool. The gameplay is simple, but rich enough to allow a lot of things and it was very nice to see new type of enemies really different in the graphic style and in the behavior. All in all it was a very satisfying game.
Ps : sorry my english level is not as good as I would like, so I use DeepL to translate from french.

I made it to level 10! What a great game, well designed and polished, well done!
That's a pretty solid game you got there, maybe you could even release it with some more content. Congratulations!
Holy awesome game. One of my most addicting games.
Congrats, that is an incredible jam game!
Everything is kept simple but super consistent and elegent. There are a lot of nicely polished stuff here and there to make the game feel fair.
As other said, it gives good Luftrauser vibes, but with way simpler controls, so much more adapted to a jam game.
Here are two things that bothered me a bit: - I couldn't see my life bar in full screen mode with the webgl version (hidden behind windows bar). - I couldn't pause the game (to go back to full screen for exemple) - I didn't really understand the laser enemy, maybe due to lack of feedback when the laser hits you?
Anyway, that's minor, you did a really good job with this game, I had a lot of fun!
@doot I just updated the itch.io page to have a full-screen button, which should solve most of your issues! I did want lasers to have more feedback when contacting the player, but I ran out of time to implement such a system. A future release would implement a better way of telegraphing damage from lasers to the player. Thank you for playing, rating, and leaving such detailed feedback! I greatly appreciate it!
Really fun and enjoyable :) Simple concept but tweaked with upgrades. Good work!

Ok This is a good game love to see this on the app strore ~guys.
This is such an elaborate game :) Everything works perfectly and smoothly. Beautiful graphics, great music. I haven't gotten through the whole game yet, but I will be trying more  Great job!
It was fun. It wasn't particularly difficult for me, as a fan of Bullet Hell games, but it was very dynamic). And your game reminded me of "Luftrausers".
Very polished . Remind me of vampire like but with very nice enemy inspiration . Especially like the rocket that speed up after you enter there proximity zone .
