Good short game with nice sound effects and random faces. I won the last level when I was the light guy. And the music in the story part has a hard loop.

@oxropy Thanks for playing, I purposely let players win with any of the creatures. I was afraid people would just give up and not remember they needed the Queen. As you know, people don't always put much effort into playing each others games and I wanted as many people to beat the game as possible.
I liked this lil game. I think that the voiced out sound effects fit with the simple graphic style. I enjoyed the randomness of the sound effects and faces. One of my only complaints is that is a little short, but other than that I enjoyed this game.
Good game! Don't worry about not having a voice acted story and stuff by the way, it's a short jam, people shouldn't expect it. Loved the drawn graphics and the voices, though!
very charming, love the self made sfx lol, had some good little puzzles
The creature faces were fun!
This game brought back great childhood memories. The sfx were charming, and the music selection set a liminal mood that I didn't expect, but fit well with the game, I would say.
Fun little game. Liked the little voices. Neat idea to have different powers for different characters. Neat puzzles and was left kinda wanting more haha. Would definitely add more polish, polish is so important! Game juice and squish and stretch goes a long way!
I like the concept!
@pious What do you mean game juice, squish, and stretch?
Cute puzzle game, and I really enjoyed it! The different abilities for each character --climbing, light, exploding Platform--were a great touch and made for some fun gameplay. Most of the levels felt really good to play. The only thing I'd point out is the last level. It felt like I could complete it in a way that wasn't intended because I tried going up when it wasn't necessary and still managed to pass it. Overall, I loved the puzzle mechanics and had fun playing!Screenshot.png
@spirits Thanks a lot for actually playing it to the end. Regarding that last stage, did you use the Red explosion at the top and still beat the stage?
@beeb-gamecodecompany Search up "Juice it or Lose it," game feel and feedback. Games react to input all the time. Take a look at my game and notice how the only animation for the little guys is that they bounce a little when idling. For your game, I can see them moving by just squishing and stretching a little bit in their animation. I can see it looking really good for the vine to just bounce out when it spawns by stretching and then resting. The explosion expands and then rests in a bouncy way. Etc. It makes it look professional with little effort. Just a little bounce.
I like this game a lot! The story is really cute (even if not finished), I liked the growing mechanics and learning how each one comes in handy. Great job!
I feel like you undersold it. Even with the simple art, the game shows a ton of dedication with the amount of voice lines, alternate faces and mechanics in play. It's quick, funny and enjoyable. This is a great base to build on and I hope you keep at it.
I agree for the need to just a little bit more polish/juice, but this game is a very good start, there's some potential.
The gameplay is distinct in its own way, and the voice acting adds a lot of charm. The graphics are simple, but I really like how each of the little guys has their own look and unique personalities. The way the theme was interpreted with a non-animal creature is also creative. And I like the goal of bringing a princess to a castle, itβs cute. I get that lack of time might have been an issue, which is totally understandable in a game jam, but overall, It is a good entry! Well done!

those voice lines made me chuckle a few times, haha. Nice entry, would have liked more levels though!
The faces on the balls are really fun! It's great how they change when they spawn in different ways. The silly expressions make the game more enjoyable.

The mechanics here are really solid!
Would love to see some more levels to see how much mileage you can get out of 'em!
Positively surprises by squeezing every last drop of juice out of the graphics and sound in order to create a nice smooth drink of jokes and humour, which you can sip while playing this game. Very nice idea for gameplay too, shame it's so short, but I'd rather have it short rather than diluted :)
I really enjoyed the sounds that you made! Even small variations make a huge difference! I though the puzzles were more competent than I first expected. Cute and fun. Great work!
I had fun playing it, and I highly respect the random generated faces and the sound effects. The main issu for me was that many buttons reseted the stage (enter and space bar for sure) and I clicked them a lot by accident. I also finished the last stage, by walking with the red dude to the castle. I was pretty sure that only the queen should be able to do that.
Goofy game, with some more time I could see this being a fun little puzzle game.
innovative! They don't make em like this anymore!
I know it has been said a lot, but the faces just add so much to this game. It is truly amazing what even "simple" graphics can achieve when you focus on adding character to them. And the sounds are incredibly funny too!
Fun little game! The random faces and funny sound effects are a nice touch
