Cute art. It was a little hard to understand how you combine ingredients at first but I got the hang of it!

I'm thriving in NYC making and eating ice cream (and) salad. Ice cream salad is so fortifying and invigorating that I haven't felt the need to sleep or socialize, I even sold my bed for a bit of extra cash.

More seriously, I was surprised by the mood this simple game gave me. Though my character was content and had a spacious apartment, he was spending all his time retracing his steps between the freezer and countertop crammed near the window (for max efficiency), furiously making salad and ice cream, all just to pay rent and subsist. And when I forgot to feed him enough ice cream to sustain his mood he lost hope and moved to Portland. Feels too real, man.

Hopped on that sigma male grind set and made it to $600 but couldn't quite pay up. Turns out ice cream can do anything. Sold my bed immediately

great idea and what's made so far works well together could do with some way to get something back off a counter once on i kept putting the wrong thing on getting stuck :)

Would be interesting to see this develop further :P

The game concept is really nice! It takes a few tries to get a hang of and have some sort of strategy, I wish there was a way to ease the player into the mechanics. I also think that the recipes should be shown in-game. It's fun and keeps the pressure and makes you think twice about what what you really need :)

Ha this was entertaining. First try I bought the oven and accidentally pushed it back through the window before I could use it. Never ended up needing to use too much space in the room. Just making salad as fast as I can. It would have been nice if there was some audio. Might make it clearer when I am eating vs selling or when a recipe is ready. Good job!

At first, it's a bit challenging to grasp, a brief tutorial would be interesting. However, once you understand it, it's incredibly fun! I love the carrot idea; I truly see them in a different perspective now, ha, ha. I noticed it has few votes, and I believe it deserves more. This seems like one of those hidden games that contain treasures within, it seems outstanding to me. Admittedly, I struggle a bit with the controls, but I can only congratulate you on this marvelous participation, congrats!

Really great game here! Took me a while to figure out the controls - and their use didn't feel very intuitive at times. I played on PC and I'm guessing it's a better experience with a controller. I also unfortunately didn't feel constrained by the space but that's probably because I sucked at the game, if I did better it'd probably get a lot tougher.

Really wonderful work here - this game was awesome!

Nice little game you made their

This was oddly stressful! Figuring out the recipe combinations was fun. I accidentally ate food many times q_q

The controls are unintuitive but from what I've played it's nice.

I feel like this an allegory for the cyclical nature of everyday life. Definitely add a music track in the future as that would greatly add more of a sense of urgency to the game. Also, pressing Z didn't restart the game for me. I'm using the Edge browser.
