The art style is really nice (the title picture is great!) And the music was also fitting for a space adventure.
Gameplaywise, the planet getting smaller was an interesting idea but it didn't really affect me.... (would have been interesting when it also gets smaller while you're inside and thus maybe crushes you after some point in time)...
I unfortunately never found any alien species or the likes in the caves and I found out about the jetpack just too late and then it was already all empty (maybe refilling it at the space ship would be a good idea)
The gravity and jump controls were quite floaty, which made for a good astronaut experience but also made the controls sometimes very difficult...
Good job in general :) Maybe next time focus more on fluid gameplay
Sorry for some reason I'm not able to play it, it just shows an pink screen in the beginning without progressing.... Looks interesting though, would have liked to try it out
@wildmusketeer The character portraits are unfortunately just a images without a real character yet ;). In version 2.0 there will be different characters with unique movesets.
@kantieno Thank you! Yes different characters with unique movesets are definitely the next step. Also gotta think some more about the wind game mechanic to make one's success it maybe a little bit less random...
@rombus I wanted both player to be able to play on one keyboard.... And I tried to arrange the keys in a rectangle of neighboring keys on the keyboard so it roughly resembles a gamepad :)
Simple idea, but it is a little bit hard in my opinion... The tree dies already very early especially when the monster comes from the upward direction.
Graphics are decent for a Jam entry, a background music would have been nice too ~~but I can totally understand that that is a little difficult in 48 hours when you're all alone~~
Edit: I just realized it was the three day jam.... then you could have definitely spared an hour to look for a somewhat matching music
Still Good job for your first finished game
After I got my first upgrades it became quite easy - except for the shooting enemies.... I didn't really understand whether I won or lost in the end.... Also I was not sure what effect the stage becoming smaller had on the gameplay.
But a nice little game with fitting music and sounds! :)
That was simple and fun.... The title picture gives the game a lot of additional flair in my opinion :) Using the turbo all the time should maybe be somehow limited and as a next step mayb different kind of stages or new obstacles :)
The mining was pretty slow and it could have needed some kind of feedback.... I want to second one reviewers opinion above, namely make the thing that you do 90% of the time in the game fun and interesting....
Apart from the gameplay issues the graphics (especially the design of the menu) were impressing and the music was nice but a little bit short....
Wow a great addictive game. The idea with the timed reveal of the explored tiles was really great... Especially when something big appeared I would become quite nervous :D I only realized quite late that uncovering a tile cost 1 hp when my speed was raised to 3 for the first time and I could uncover new tiles much faster than my HP at that time could keep up.
Graphics are great too. A soundtrack for the different areas would be great.
Wow really good game, I really love these kind of puzzle games. The new mechanics were introduced very natural :)
Music and sound are also fitting really well! Good job!!
I liked the dark mood of the game quite a lot. Live acting parts are a great idea!
The puzzle idea was simple but well executed. As others said before, more feedback about the tile switching and maybe a possibility to cancel a selection would have been nice.
Did I die in the end?
Wow the graphic style is simple but really nice... I like the colorful wind particles, and how the world gets more and more colorful when you go upwards... The music was also really catchy.
Great work!
Interesting small god simulation. It reminded me a little bit of Reigns because of the different kinds of Game Overs depending on having too much or not enough of a certain score.
I liked the failed planet attempts - quite funny. And also the introduction was sudden but I liked the approach of starting in media res right after another failed attempt :)
Music was nice but got repetitive after a while. I did not encounter the multiple music track playing bug that some people reported.
Wow with 13 you created this one? Not bad...
There's not a whole lot in the game, I for example didn't know how to find food. And also a display of the current time would have been nice. The controls also should be improved.... The turn and walk system was a little bit hard to get used to....
But keep on the work and your next game will be much better :)
I liked the random philosophical quotes in the blue area and also the 3D cube effect. Some music would have also been nice. I didn't try the Downloadable version but in the WebGL version the positioning of the 3D walls is a little bit slow on my PC.
It's quite a lot of content for the short time it was created in! Good work!
It looks really interesting but unfortunately its almost unplayable in my browser :( Movement often locks into one direction and gets unresponsive and especially when some of the slime are on the screen, everything is really laggy and I can't really control anything.
But a roguelike dungeon generator with simple pixel graphics and a certain mood given through the music :) I like what I have seen so far.
I almost gave up on the game before I read the comments since I thought I had to infect everyone... But fortunately I didn't.... I finished it and it was quite fun with unique mechanics and good graphics! Very good job. Be sure that the player knows what he has to do
Wow quite some complexity hidden inside this game.... It would probably be nicer if the information of the plant was shown already when hovering the mouse over the plant
Gameplay was very simple..... hitting the tank so many times felt a bit overboard.... I liked the music though.
Very original satiric idea. But as others said already it's very difficult.... But with even the tutorial being quite hard it still prepares you quite well for the actual gameplay... Is there a way to win by the way?
It was quite difficult... Morality died... :( Interesting idea to have typing game combined with obstacles etc. Are the balloons supposed to stop midway sometimes?
Wow this is really fun. Amazing how you reproduced the GTA feeling with vampires.... Only criticism is that it's maybe a bit too easy and repetitive. But Other than that very good job!
Wow the gameplay was really addicting. and quite unique! Eventually I got stuck when a moving spike bar was before a normal other bar..... but I felt I got quite far... Good job!
@raphy Oh actually it should give you a game over message if you shoot even one innocent person. In the later stages there's more than one assassin so maybe you hit one of them out of luck. There should be a kind of "Which stage is this" and "How many assassins left" display in the game.... but there was no time
@guille Thanks for playing. Did you play by any chance with Chrome? For me those mysterious freezes also happen sometimes.... And I'm not yet quite sure why.... Do you try to shoot someone immediately in the beginning of the game?
@guille Thanks for the feedback... I need to do some local debugging but since the game engine is still in active development it might also be something out of my control....
@thelemba Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it... Yes I intended the zoomed in controls to be a little bit shaky and hard to handle
@ramperkash Thanks for your feedback! The zoom controls probably need to be adjusted a bit... but it was intentional to have them shaky and hard to manage to have also a bit of a motoric kind of challenge... The freezing bug unfortunately happens on Chrome at the moment as mentioned by someone before.. Have to look into that...
@natpat Thanks for playing! At the moment I'm really just using a really zoomed out big pixelart picture.. which sometimes causes random grey pixels which (unintentionally) give a away the rifle sometimes even in a zoomed out state. In a more polished version I would add special sprites and animations for the zoomed out version.... so it's harder to distinguish
@koolruz Thanks for playing and your feedback.... Yes at the moment the only thing I change between the stages is the number of people appearing at the same time and the total number of snipers.... The probability of a particular person being a sniper is always the same.... which causes the first level to be a drag if you're unlucky.... definitely a pacing point to be improved!
Interesting concept and funny character.... the jump mechanics felt a little clunky but then again I'm not very good at infinite runner games ;)
Nice idea but much too difficult for me to enjoy it. At least with current level design and falling speed of the alien.
What else can I say what has not been said before..... Very interesting gameplay great graphics, sound and atmosphere..... Still surprised that there are 2 games in this LD that on the surface look so similar (and are both super super polished)
I liked the atmosphere and the music a lot.... and the 3d pixelish background was also nice! There were too many gauges and displays which I didn't really understand though which made gameplay a little bit confusing
This was quite a lot of fun though it's quite hard since the collision detection is in favor of the enemies.... I liked the personality of each of the enemies... really great animations and the music was also good!
I really liked this one.... The enemy shots were quite hard to dodge since they predict where you are walking. The background music and general atmosphere was also very good.
The graphics, sound and atmosphere in general is very good! It would have been nice to have maybe more unit types and more tactical choices during the game.
Simple but fun.... The hand drawn style and the over-the-top voice acting made the game atmosphere very unique and great!
Only criticism I have is that the ending was not marked clear enough... i.e. that there would be no new content after "Keep Playing"... Especially since I got the lover ending first.... and that paragraph ended with something like "There's only one more thing to do".....
It was quite difficult to remember the logic gate functions. Also I'm really bad at this kind of bullet hell games.. But good idea to teach logic with a game like this
Very nice graphics and atmosphere (and of course sound too)! I liked all the little ways how you had to protect your fire!
Interesting dark atmosphere. Good job! When I played it the fuel display was a bit too far to the right, so I couldn't really see it clearly. Also is there any way to avoid the rockets except for using the boost?
It was a very relaxing fun game. Graphics and sound were also great!
Very cute graphics... Gameplay was also quite addictive though I felt the difficulty stopped to rise after about 2 minutes (or maybe it's just my imagination) Would be nice to have sound and music and maybe some additional artwork but as a game it's already quite fun :)
Atmosphere and graphics are great.... it was quite difficult to play and the mechanics of the "wall jump" were a bit hard to understand...... The sounds reminded me of some kind of notification sound which was a little bit distracting :D
This was really fun, though eventually I lost because the wood on the map ran out.... (I think?) and too many ghosts came at once to kill the fire.... It would be nice if there was something like an indicator how much time you still have to play to win (like a progress bar from night to day or so?)
Graphics and sound were really good and the gameplay fun! Good job!
@jishin Oh yes my bad... I didn't play in full screen. In full screen it properly appeared! Thanks for your answer!
Very nice atmosphere and music. I like the somewhat board game like character of the game. I think I found a bug.... in the village where you can seemingly buy the artifacts but in the end only get offered expensive supplies you cannot decline to buy the supplies....
Wow I really really like this.... The world's structure being more and more ripped apart by different parallel universes being created... It becomes quite hard to play naturally after a while... but it's still amazing...
The split screen design is a little hommage to Rick and Morty I guess ? ;)
Wow very high quality for your first game! The loading screen and the dialogues were quite funny! And the mechanic of kicking the sheep in the butt :) Very good I enjoyed it!
That was a nice little dragon raising game and even in 3D. Very nice. I felt that all the mechanics were introduced much to quick in a succession... and also I felt the little apple trees never became bigger so I eventually ran out of apples.....
This was really nice... The graphics, sound and atmosphere were quite good. The difficulty increase between level 1 and 2 was quite huge and it was a pity that you didn't need the flamethrower at all in stage 2. Also I felt the game still kept running in the background when game over happened, which sometimes caused the egg to die immediately on a new stage retry. If you work on it and add more content this can become a really good game I think!
Nice idea. Good work on the art style. The game itself was a bit hard for me towards the end so I couldn't finish it
Wow for your first game this is really fun! One simple mechanic and well executed! Good job! Only negative point is maybe that it's maybe not the best timing for a game where you are the virus ;)
Funny little game... those sheeps are quite active :D I made it until I had to shoot 8 of them.... Good job.... Maybe some kind of background music would be nice :)
Nice game with simple but addictive mechanics. The difficulty scaling over time is quite good but the spears coming totally randomly (I guess?) causes sometimes situations you cannot escape from... But in general it was quite fun!I got 139 points.... (By the way...... the tone of yellow for the beak was really hard to see on top of the white body for me)
I liked the post-apocalyptic atmosphere of the game. The gameplay itself was nice with reacting to random weather and everything. The How To Play part was quite a lot of small text, so maybe that would be something that could be improved next time.
I really liked it. The puzzles were really well thought out... I cleared the whole game :) It would have been nice to have some sound effects but other than that really fun!
Nice little puzzle game and funny backstory. The music was a little too much for me after a while and it would be nice if the game play was more varied.....
I didn't really get the controls until I read other peoples comments.... And as most people said, the jump is quite clunky
Nice I love the oldschool Civ2 like graphics.... The gameplay itself was quite fun, though I didn't see the meaning in setting tiles to fire yourself... I usually started to build a wall of destroyed tiles a bit far away from the fire to stop it there eventually...... If you decide to expand it I'm looking forward to see what else you come up with!
It was quite fun but I forgot that I could upgrade my character... But I still somehow made it to level 7..... Good job!
The art and sound is really nice. As most other people already said... The walking speed could be faster and the attack radius a bit more forgiving.
Nice game, looking for an exit while keeping a fire alive is a nice idea. Sound would have really been nice. And I'm not sure if my fire was really getting smaller...
It's a interesting little game. It's a bit hard to know who is who in this game.... and it would have been nice if the wood blocks would not move (or not so easily) if the infected run against them
Simple but fun game!
On my first game I tried to kill the hacker by mistake... But then I got the hang of it.... Quite a difficult game though but a good start!
Very nice storytelling and writing :) I liked the little joking hints towards Steins;Gate I think? I also had my problems with the second code and was not smart enough to check my old messages for code of the upper floor. Good job anyways :)
Quite difficult but interesting game mechanics :) The overall graphics and experience is also very polished :) Good job!
Nice retro GB optic and sound :) Dying after just one hit made it quite difficult but it was still fun :) Good job!
@damonwakes Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. I'm glad to see that you liked the harpoon physics and controls (one of the points I spent quite a bit time on).
It's way too easy and I wanted to add more enemy types - the current one does not really do more than be a background nuisance even at lower depths.
Thanks for the advice with the game over screen. I will add that later.
@metadept @thedarkmagi Thank you!
Nice classic match-3 alike puzzle mechanic. The right side seemed a bit empty, so maybe centering everything and adding some more UI elements would be nice :) Good job!
Quite difficult but interesting mechanic. This would work very well on a touch screen :) Good job!
Very mellow peaceful experience. Though I have to admit that in the beginning I had minor flashbacks to a not so peaceful poetry/literature club related game where you need to choose words for a girl....
Very nice job on atmosphere and the visual novel style gameplay :) I really liked it
Interesting Inception like mechanic.... I'm a little troubled that all of them eventually have little Satans inside their head....
After you capture enemies it would be nice if they actively walk around to help you.
Good job and fun interpretation of the theme!
Wow very funny interpretation of the theme. The sound and the evergrowing laundry pile were so funny :) Good simple addicting game.
The sounds were funny and the game was also enjoyable. I reached 822 meters on my first try. I also liked that dying just threw you back a little bit and didn't force you to start from the beginning. Good job!
It was a really fun game. Liked the factory take on the Armageddon theme :)
There's a little problem in the main menu and during the cutscenes where you can freely zoom the scene.
Really good job on a fun little game :)
The humor was not really for me but the game itself was quite funny. Throwing cars all around and such.
Really nice and unique concept! It was really fun to explore all the little effects that were hidden inside the text. Music, graphics, atmosphere its a well-rounded whole and very good job for a jam game!
I didn't make it even through the first level since it was a bit hard for me. But it looked quite interesting. Something with the aiming was off and when all the cells ganged up on me after the first "worm tunnel" section it couldn't fight my way free. Good job for that short amount of time.
Next step would probably be polishing the user controls a bit :)
Really cute, fun game. It was fun to try out all the actions and see what the dog would dig up next :)
Interesting atmospheric setting. The gameplay was a bit too uneventful and unfortunately I somehow got stuck in the ground. Are the weapons actually able to defeat the enemies.
I really liked the robot voice-over :)
I liked the sound effects, they were really funny. The rope and helicopter dynamics, swinging the guy around and all was also fun to play around with. Good job!
There's some kind of Debug UI in the top left though, I'm not sure if that was on purpose
Interesting game idea. It's quite difficult but I think you can extend it to a nice game! Good job! Playing the game with the keyboard but having to click to restart was a bit annoying - maybe add a key for restarting the game, too?
It was quite fun and unique of a game :) Interesting not quite obvious interpretation of the theme. I enjoyed it
It took me a few tries to realize what was happening here - but then I was eager to find the right solution. Good atmospheric writing!
