What a charming little prototype! I love the concept and the mechanics of quickly grabbing words, then having to slot them together! This may be an early proof-of-concept build but it definitely gets the idea across really well. The aesthetic is also very gentle and lovely! Great work
I really like this idea of going deeper! It was nice to play and to pick our words like this. I hope you will publish a complete version of it!
I really like what you did with this! (Though I'll be the first to admit, I was a little worried after a previous game about a literature club went... places, but I digress)
I feel like I never see narrative games in jams like Ludum Dare, and that's a little sad because I really enjoy them. This is one of the better uses of the theme I've seen so far. The art and music was also great, and really helped create a comfortable aesthetic.
I try to give a little constructive feedback for any game I play, so I'll mention that I got to the text "Just to set myself a challenge..." and the game seemed to freeze. I'm guessing that was the end of the prototype - if it was, a little "to be continued" would have helped.
I also managed to time picking a word right as the countdown ended and managed to get it to count backwards, which was kind of amusing. (It still moved on as soon as I picked one more word - I wasn't stuck or anything.)

That aside I really liked this, and I hope you'll continue with it. To steal words from an earlier commenter, this is a charming prototype. Thanks for an interesting game.
I really liked the art style also really cool idea not like the thousand of deep sea and mine shaft games. Good Job!

What an adorable game! I'm a little annoyed at the idea that a good poet would be able to come up with poems on the spot ... that seems like an unhealthy idea to spread, because there are plenty of poets who are not improvisers.
I really liked this interpretation of the theme, though it seems like you ran out of time to get to the "and deeper" part of it. As for the word, it would be cool if some of them were a bit more unusual and you could learn their definitions too, just like reading a dictionary. Great ideas for a start!

really cute game! the art style was appealing, and the music was relaxing without being forgettable. the use of the theme was original, and the poem themes were pretty creative. i would love to see the continued version of this game. it gave me a lot of doki doki literature club vibes (which i'm assuming was an inspiration)
REALLY cute and such expressive visuals! Loved the idea of the dictonary being used for later poems - creating the poem was fun! Would love to see more content like this!

Nice! When I heard the theme, I was hoping somebody would run with this meaning of "deeper", but I had no idea how that would be done in the time given. Great work!
Cute idea, I loved the music; very calming and fit the mood very well.

I love this idea and how this plays and the art is super pretty too, whole thins is just really cute
I think the mechanic you chose has a lot of potential in a narrative game. I'd be interested in seeing what could be done with it. I love seeing what people can do with narrative in a game jam, so it was great to see this.

very nice graphics and bgm, Rose is also lovely. it's good to see some diffrent perspect about the theme :)
@cppchriscpp Thanks for the feedback! We ironed out the bugs that were allowed and we are definitely fans of some narrative games. Always nice to do something unique :)
@carraka I guess you're right although we kinda didn't think about that too much as we wrote the script in a couple of hours. We surely wanted to get to the deeper part of it to get a better understanding of Rose as a character but we'll keep that for another time ;)

Love this take on the theme. The game was pretty enjoyable. Good job!
I love this take on the theme! The art style was warm and inviting, and the music was perfect. I'd definitely enjoy playing this further, if you were to build it out a bit more. One suggestion I have is (if you do build onto it more) to have less exposition at the beginning and let the player get into the gameplay faster. It would be cool to see if the player could shape the narrative through the words they select and the poetry they write.
As I was scrolling through games (or my feed, don't remember) I saw that your game was "kinda similar" to ours as it utilizes the use of words and "deep words" as the theme interpreatation, so I had to check it out! And I wasn't disappointed :3 It was really cool experience, I wish there was more levels to play and relax. I love the picking words mechanics and then creating a poem out of them (Roses are overwhelming, definitely a deep line of mine). I found it so adorable that I rated it 5/5 but I acknowledge it's unfinished and such. I just really liked it, it's so rare to see narrative-based games on jams. Great work!

That was mostly inovative and a little bit funny. :) I like the art and the music is really well fitted. I like how it changes during count down. I also liked the font - ah the little details! :) I know you were going for a narrative type of game, but maybe the narrative parts could have been shorter and at least for me, the mini activities are what makes the game fun! I like the concept, so please develop it further! ;) Also maybe include a "forward" and "back" buttons to go through the narrative - in case someone accidentally skips a part. The overall look is cute and it's cool that the characters are animated a bit. When developing further, maybe have them both on the screen. I don't know. :) Anway - nice entry - it made me laugh out loud during the activities! :)

A nice and serene game. There seems to be alot you can do with kind of thing. Anywho, cute game! Cute art! Good work! ;D
Super chill game, great proof of concept and you should take it further, Thanks for your work.
A charming, lovely game. I love the unique concept of composing a poem. It will be nice to see where this goes.
Very mellow peaceful experience. Though I have to admit that in the beginning I had minor flashbacks to a not so peaceful poetry/literature club related game where you need to choose words for a girl....
Very nice job on atmosphere and the visual novel style gameplay :) I really liked it
