Maybe it's not very user-friendly to those who can't remember the functions of those gates. I think it would be better if you show the state of each white line whenever a gate is placed, so that the player can at least find out which gate is incorrect.
But still, it's interesting to see someone introduce logic gates in their game. Good job.

@decappoolla Thanks for the feedback! That would definitely be a nice feature to have. It's probably too late to add it now, but I've added a reference in the description for gate input/outputs for now.
i always loved the idea of using circuitery for gameplay, but the rest of the game is a bit too confusing. There are many bugs (getting stuck in walls, buttons not working properly etc)

It take me around five tile reading instruction to understand how to win, I'm so dumb ;p . Anyway I love the bin monster. Fun game to look for logics gates and put them to the right circuit position trying to escape all this crazy bugs around. Great Job !
Fun overall. Collisions didn't work all the time. I felt that I was guessing most of the time about the gates, but I really appreciate that this could be fun in learning them. I really enjoyed that there was a tutorial. The music and sound effects really helped this game feel fun.
well done. you can tell how much care you put into this with all the comp sci puns, and the craftsmanships of the artwork. memory leeks was my favorite. i like the use of the spotlight to hide some fo the baddies too so they could be a surprise. well designed levels and well balanced game play.

I think (although perhaps this contradicts popular opinion) that forcing the player to remember the logic gates could be a useful pedagogical tool. I'm curious if you only wanted to use the logic gates as a mechanic for fun or if you had some educational goal. Either way, very cool concept! Nice work.

a brand new way to learn logic gate  that's great and creative, love the music too. but for me the enemies are to much and they spawn really quick. For player HP, i think it's better if player could heal their HP, like pick up drop item to heal for example.

@brndncn We mostly added the gate mechanics for fun, but it would be really cool if people got some educational value out of it too!

@amazura That's a great idea, I wish we thought of that during development! Giving enemies a percentage chance to drop healing items would definitely help ease the difficulty curve in the last few levels - thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately I didn't figure out the main idea and I could go through the walls along with enemies, but the sense of mystery was interesting to exerience

Cool game, couldn't really get it at first, took me back to when I studied logic gates
It was quite difficult to remember the logic gate functions. Also I'm really bad at this kind of bullet hell games.. But good idea to teach logic with a game like this
It took me a while to figure out what to do. At first I thought I just had to put *any* kind of logic gate that would fit, as it didn't seem like the type of logic gate really affected anything. I think I was expecting there to be a "current" state and a "goal" state, so like, the circuit would show you what result it was actually producing along with the one you wanted to create.
It also wasn't obvious that there needed to be a logic gate in every socket. This caused me to suicide once when I thought I put a gate somewhere I didn't want one.
It was also really easy to accidentally put a logic gate where you didn't want it. I think maybe there should be a button you have to press for the logic gate to actually go in the socket.
I also thought the enemy spawn rate might have been a little high. There was no way to actually kill all the enemies so your only chance was to hope to dodge the bullets.
Which makes sense, but the problem is that the logic gates spawn randomly. So it's completely random whether it'll take a couple seconds to find one, or take forever. I think on the first level with the leeks I simply couldn't find a not gate some times, and so I died.
Anyways, those were all the things that I think could be tweaked to make the gameplay better. I think the overall concept is fine, there's just a lot of little things that stack up to make it much less approachable than it could be.
I also enjoyed all the little puns on the enemies. Especially the memory leeks.

if i done something wrong, can i correct my error??
Game has a lot of potential. But I share a lot of the same feedback as @honey-pony. Still - for a jam this is pretty cool! I appreciated all the references :)

@xart2012 Yeah! If you make a mistake (I'm assuming you mean putting a gate in the wrong place), you can just drag another gate on top of it to replace it.

Really enjoyed the creativity here and the puns. Also was enjoying the tetris-like music while playing. The gameplay with the bullet hell and logic gate building didn't really mesh well IMO. I didn't really bother to shoot things, just dodged and got the pieces and tried to put it somewhere.

Nice game. Maybe consider changing the color schemes. It feels weird that the AND is green, but produces a false red. You might get people into logic gates faster by using both shape cues and color cues. Otherwise, the art and combination of mechanics are really fun.

This was an interesting experience - the graphical style of the game was neat (and had fun puns), and the controls felt well implemented enough to enjoy the bullet hell part of the game. The music was pretty good too. I felt that the mechanics of "put the gates into the right sockets" and "get the gates while dodging bullets" didn't mesh that well - I just quickly glanced at what gates I needed (though it seemed that all the puzzles had non-unique solutions?) and grabbed them, making it more like two separate stages than an integrated whole (this was especially true since if I waited any length of time to solve the puzzle side, the bullet side was just too hard from the spawn rate). I wonder if some sort of effect of the logic gates other than "you won!" might improve this - for instance, if they controlled something meaningful in game (e.g. some sort of upgrade or turret, or even just a door); such effects might also open the door to more creativity for the player, if different circuits did different things rather than were just right/wrong.
Wildly innovative, but a bit frustrating when I walked over a slot and dropped off a gate that I really needed somewhere else. It would also be helpful if the names of the gates were written on them for when you are just starting out, but they're not really needed once you get familiar with the types. I do think it'd be nice if the gates affected the shooting somehow - right now while playing it kinda feels like playing two unrelated games that really only tangentially affect each other. Nonetheless, I still thoroughly enjoyed this game and you have done a great job with it. (:
