LD42 — Running out of space

Full Stack Combat by RetroSpecter 2018-08-14T02:56:24Z

I like how fleshed out everything is, especially for a 48 hour compo game. There isn't really much I can say to improve on - great job!

AQUATIC SUBGAL by neontropics 2018-08-13T23:23:49Z

Finished! I opted for the kamikaze mad rush to the finish method. Great job!

Debris Trail by chromableedstudios 2020-04-22T02:19:46Z

To be honest, the gravity changes were somewhat disorienting. But I eventually managed to clear the first level! Good first attempt with Unity.

Slime Escape by Dom Harris 2018-08-14T01:55:27Z

The art and music are both fantastic. The gameplay is a bit unforgiving, since it pretty much requires you to know what's coming next to beat it. And maybe the jump could've had a bit more float to it, but I got used to it after dying a few times. It also would've really benefited from a retry option that reset the timer, to make leaderboard climbing easier. Overall, great job, I really enjoyed it!

Stop the Darkness by Florian van Strien 2018-08-14T01:16:20Z

I like the concept! It was easy to understand while still somewhat challenging to win the first time around. It would've been even better with some calming background music.

The Big Crunch: Cosmic Horizon by Daniel Alhadeff 2018-08-14T00:42:09Z

Great game, especially for 24 hours. The music was really catchy, and I liked how tight the controls were (I usually find these physics based space games to be a bit too floaty). My only feedback would be that the firing rate is somewhat inconsistent. Well done!

BlockDrop by kippllo 2018-08-13T02:20:13Z

Fun! The power up that sucked everything in seemed a bit overpowered though.

backSpace-X by omercanbalandi 2018-08-12T23:12:24Z

Really good! The only thing I found off about it was the first time I played, the audio worked fine but the second, around phase 4 the background audio cut out for me.

Overall, great job!

Real Espace by Viater 2018-08-12T23:29:54Z

Really fun! My personal best is about 700 - no idea how you managed 2300 without getting blocked off.

Feedback - it would be nice if you could access the shop in the middle of a run from the pause menu.

Great job!

[Running Out of Spac] by Sean Doyle 2018-08-14T01:11:21Z

Pretty good! I'd prefer it if the turning speed was a bit faster, and maybe if the number of enemies increased over time (to better fit the theme of running out of space).

Zlinx by frontlinesaint 2018-08-13T02:04:31Z

Finally beat it! The gap on the second water level gave me some trouble.

Really good overall. The music was calming, yet subtly infuriating after dying repeatedly :)

SpaceRunner by jackou 2018-08-14T01:35:41Z

I enjoyed the game a lot. My only feedback would be that sometimes the aliens attacks are placed so that you can't really dodge them (as I think others have mentioned). I actually liked how the calm music contrasted with the difficulty of the platforming. Great job!

A blob with a destination - LD42 by Dries Vuylsteke 2018-08-14T02:13:06Z

Really fun! My only issue would be that the jump mechanics take a while to get used to, and even then it's kind of difficult to control to the degree of accuracy needed in this game. Overall, great job!

No Space For Corpses by bigboyenzo 2018-08-13T23:11:06Z

Really enjoyed it! My only feedback would be to tone down the gunshot sounds a bit, and to allow the player to switch guns in the middle of a reload. Good job!

Anstorm by ShivArt 2018-08-13T00:37:01Z

Great! I'm impressed by how good the art is for a 48 hour jam.

Greenie Goes Right by quicklyer 2018-08-13T00:33:13Z

Simple, but really fun. Great job!

InkCleaner by neuralcoder 2018-08-14T01:20:43Z

I like it! My advice would be to increase the pace a bit by making the player character move faster and maybe increasing the range/fire rate of the broom.

LD46 — Keep it alive

The Show Must Go On by Jedeen 2020-04-21T02:13:46Z

Nice! Very creative use of the theme. More difficulty modes (maybe with 3 or 4 prop combinations) would be really fun!

In The Flesh by LandoSystems 2020-04-21T04:01:33Z

Unique concept! The variety of art is really nice. It takes some time to get around, though I guess zombies walk slowly so that makes sense. Very fun!

Genomix by Herman Chau 2020-04-21T03:53:40Z

Nice! The UI was very polished, especially considering the time restraints. The ending was fun!

A Healer's Tale by Space_man 2020-04-22T04:54:58Z

Interesting take on the theme! The party dynamic definitely gave me old school MMO vibes. Joining Scar at the end was cathartic.

Vote Jack! by kfischer-okarin 2020-04-22T03:23:08Z

I liked it, it fits the theme very well! I also didn't realize you had to wait for the snipers to pull their weapons out before dispatching them for a while. Well done!

Atlantoid Plantoid by microwerx 2020-04-22T02:38:25Z

Pretty great! I liked the music a lot, and balancing your air and the plant's health was quite enjoyable.

The Forest Below by raphy 2020-04-22T03:43:10Z

The art and atmosphere were both really good! Adding more gameplay elements would definitely be beneficial here.

Responsibility by BlueMirror 2020-04-22T02:55:26Z

So cute! I really liked the whole balancing aspect of the game, with having to keep your health up and the dragon's hunger down, and always having to remember your way back to the castle before freezing to death. More combat options would be nice too!

Gate Crash by Ranjan 2020-04-21T03:31:49Z

@decappoolla Thanks for the feedback! That would definitely be a nice feature to have. It's probably too late to add it now, but I've added a reference in the description for gate input/outputs for now.

Gate Crash by Ranjan 2020-04-22T07:27:21Z

@brndncn We mostly added the gate mechanics for fun, but it would be really cool if people got some educational value out of it too!

Gate Crash by Ranjan 2020-04-22T07:28:52Z

@amazura That's a great idea, I wish we thought of that during development! Giving enemies a percentage chance to drop healing items would definitely help ease the difficulty curve in the last few levels - thanks for the feedback!

Gate Crash by Ranjan 2020-04-26T06:11:50Z

@xart2012 Yeah! If you make a mistake (I'm assuming you mean putting a gate in the wrong place), you can just drag another gate on top of it to replace it.

Exolvuntur by PxGluz 2020-04-22T04:39:33Z

I didn't manage to finish (got up to the third enemy) but I had a good time! The atmosphere was very well done, I definitely felt a sense of urgency while playing. I do kind of wish there were checkpoints, so I wouldn't have to go to the very beginning at each death.

Leap Of Faith by ryan123rudder 2020-04-21T02:45:58Z

Fun and relaxing!

B.U.B.B.A. Express by Pizzasgood 2020-04-21T05:22:31Z

I like the idea! I couldn't actually get to the end, either me or bubba would always die, still, had a lot of fun with it!

Chaincards by Federico Giorgi 2020-04-21T02:21:44Z

Very creative, the artwork is great! Only criticism is that I wish we got new cards faster.

Stoke It ! - V1.3 by WegPast 2020-04-21T01:38:17Z

Fun! The graphics are very well polished. I would recommend letting the player move with WASD - it seems like arrows and the SD keys work for movement, but not W and A, which confused me a bit in the beginning. Overall, great job!

The Dragon's Curse by Aditya Kumar 2020-04-21T02:52:15Z

Very creative! I made a beeline for the tower the first time and ended up dying, my next runs were pretty successful though. The art and music are really good!

Jack's Star Destroyer by TheAxe316 2020-04-21T03:22:24Z

Pretty difficult! I had a good time with it, the graphics were nice and gameplay was satisfying, very well polished!

Mage or Trouble by SynysterCola 2020-04-23T04:02:47Z

Really nice! I definitely didn't expect anyone to attempt a JRPG in 3 days, very impressive. As others have mentioned, the encounter rate was a bit high, but other than that everything was great! Congrats!

Desertification by hwaet 2020-04-22T02:25:14Z

Pretty unique! It was hard for me to grasp the mechanics of what the wells did though, maybe a tutorial of some kind would be nice.

The Tree by Vadzim 2020-04-21T05:04:52Z

Looks promising! Waiting on the link to be up.

UnLeeched by Jason Q 2020-04-21T02:35:12Z

Solid platformer! I liked the art and animation a lot.

Lost Beneath by Honey Pony 2020-04-22T03:10:49Z

Fun! The mechanics were very unique! It was a bit too hard for me to get very far, but I had a good time with it!

The Last Plant by Bailey 2020-04-22T03:16:44Z

I liked having to balance all the different factors keeping the plant alive, and the random weather events were interesting to deal with. Good job!

Dungeon Farmer by TheQiwiBoy 2020-04-21T04:02:19Z

Can't open it :(

Captain Bean and lil Jalapeño by Tsamf 2020-04-21T03:17:42Z

Cool concept! I think it would be better if the jump was less floaty, and with updated visuals for the players. Well done!

♡thump-thump♡ by anystarabove 2020-04-22T03:34:00Z

I liked the aesthetic, very minimalistic and well constructed! Very easy to understand and pick up. The first level was pretty easy, but I had a hard time on the challenge level. Good job!

The Lightwielder - Ludum Dare 46 by 1StepCloser 2020-04-21T04:57:47Z

The art and atmosphere are amazing! I'm a bit confused about the actual gameplay mechanics though, a tutorial would be appreciated.

Planty's Day Out by CitDev Chris 2020-04-21T01:41:17Z

Very polished! Gameplay was straightforward and enjoyable.

Runner 2049 by inact1v1ty 2020-04-21T02:07:23Z

Very nice! The graphics are really good, gameplay is quite enjoyable.

INFLAME;Z by wareya 2020-04-21T02:41:34Z

Very fun! The art and the music are really good, and the platforming mechanics are solid.

Package Protectors by AeroSoap 2020-04-21T04:29:45Z

The controls were hard to get used to, but learning the controls was very satisfying! The music on the second level was a bit jarring. Overall, really fun!

Paradigm by nspevacek 2020-04-21T02:01:19Z

Very calming! I enjoyed it, though it would be nice if power ups lasted a bit longer.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Heaven Slash by FireSlash 2020-10-26T02:06:10Z

This has an astonishing amount of polish for a game jam entry, super impressive! Big fan of the retro gameplay, and the character design are great! Being able to strafe would be a great QOL improvement.

Block Runner 2049 by LandoSystems 2020-10-06T08:40:36Z

This was great! The augmented tetris gameplay was pretty fun, and I really like your remix of the original tetris theme.

Hula Hype by conrad123 2020-10-26T01:01:44Z

That was really fun! I don't have arrow keys on my keyboard so moving and balancing the hoop at the same time was kind of hard, but I enjoyed the challenge :)

lööps by HeadZerg 2020-10-06T08:36:06Z

The art style is really nice! I think gameplay could have used a bit more variety, and some ambient music would've been really great. It's pretty relaxing though, good work!

File 47: An Incident in the Exclusion Zone by juxipolo 2020-10-10T07:06:10Z

That was cool! The UI design was very good. I kind of agree with the other comment about the early parts feeling a bit directionless, but it definitely picked up after that!

Blank Tape by Greet 2020-10-06T08:32:59Z

Very fun! Being able to move the camera in the later levels made this really stand out.

Loop Labs by Daniel Conway 2020-10-26T01:06:01Z

Pretty nice, I liked the vibe and the existing mechanics were polished. I think some additional obstacles maybe would've made it more of a challenge. Overall, great! :D

Inferno of Espantalho by gustavo.christino 2020-10-26T01:16:17Z

The concept is cool! It'd be great if the genetic algorithm implementation was more evident through the actual gameplay, but I understand that's a lot to do for a game jam. Overall, great job! :D

The A.R.T.S. Loop by TarvisPlays 2020-10-26T02:15:45Z

Nice! The voice work was really well done, and the theme was integrated well.

Eat your cereals by Harksa 2020-10-06T19:09:34Z

That was actually quite engaging, it kind of felt like playing Jenga, I enjoyed it :)

BEAT HIM by D119 2020-10-08T06:38:25Z

That was pretty fun, very unique concept :D

Office Havoc by Abiral 2020-10-26T02:11:31Z

Fun! I liked the variety of tasks, though it seemed like they ramped up in frequency very quickly.

Stuck in a planet by Ethery 2020-10-06T08:25:25Z

Pretty enjoyable, the platforming mechanics all satisfying!

Sudo-over by JArtis 2020-10-26T01:25:50Z

I had a lot of fun! The additional mechanics were very enjoyable, additional difficulties would be great to experiment with in the future!

Plague Friend's Deathly Journey by sakura_magika 2020-10-26T01:11:32Z

Very cute, I love the style of everything! The dialogue was pretty engaging too. Congrats on a very solid first ludum dare game!
