Cool entry! The car sometimes felt a little more drifty then I wanted to - probably a little fast for the street width. Overall really great job! I like the graphics and the main game mechanic.

Cool entry! The car sometimes felt a little more drifty then I wanted to - probably a little fast for the street width. Overall really great job! I like the graphics and the main game mechanic.
Love the voice acting! nice!
Well that game is simply fun! :) With some polishing it would be a great game just to play on mobile or something. Liked the SFX, music eventually got a bit repetitive. Good job overall!
Really great entry in my opinion! I like the art and music. In the beginning I just tried avoiding the zombies not knowing that I could just run into them to kill them. Once I figured out the kill count it was even more fun killing those creeps :P I liked it a lot! Well done.
Well this was actually quite some fun! I had some audio bugs, but maybe those were due to unity and webgl issues, I dont know. Felt pretty awkward to catch all the science and bring it back into the building for the monkeys to just throw it out again xD And somehow I couldve gone on for ever xD Good job on the game mechanic! I like it.
LOVE the cat :D! really nice music =)
Very nicely done! I like the concept it's a pretty fun idea. You could easy expand on this with more minigames. Great job!
Pretty cool mechanic. At some points it felt a little random if I could beat a level, but overall it was a fun little game! Good job!
Well done! Especially the aesthetics are well executed. I like the artstyle and the music fits in just nice. The idea of shooting houses to build them is just brilliant :D Sometimes I had trouble with houses not registering as damage to the blob, when they clearly seemed to hit them, and the mouse was a little jittery which is why I got lost in some situations. For two days you managed to put in a lot - Overall great job!
Nice! This is a really cool idea. The first time was really overwhelming and I didnt quite understand everything that was going on, but with just one or two more tries I already got way better. Good design! The art is simple yet nice to look at and it all fits really well together. For my taste some of the sounds were a little loud. Great job.
Wow impressive art and audio! I really enjoyed watching and listening to your game. I think you put in quite some nice mechanics and managed to fit im some nice puzzles to explore using those mechanics. Yea sometimes it may be abused a little or there are slight bugs but overall I didn't really notice them or at least the styling of your game made me focus on that more. Great work, I really enjoyed it.
Ohhh I wish I could keep those gun upgrades! xD Really fun game. Pretty polished art and sounds! The little death animations made it feel super awesome! Great concept and delivery!
I had quite some fun participating in my first ever olympics! Good job overall, I think the physics can be a little too wacky at some points making it unforgiving, since you have to start all over again.
Very nice game. I loved it. For whatever reason the 2nd level took me way too long xD But that was because of my dumb thinking. As someone mentiuoned before, the difficulty curve seems a little odd, but other than that I really really liked it!
I am so glad I participated in this event. Actually you made me go for it, since I watched most of your YT post Ludum Dare's. First of all thank you for that, it was a great experience participating. As for the feedback on your game, I think you just did an awesome job!
I felt so bad playing this game... - which in this case obscure enough is a great thing. You really managed to deliver the mood with art and sound. As always I just enjoy looking at your art! Since I discovered your YT I fell in love with your own 2D style. In addition the changing sound and all the little details like helicopters appearing, little particle effects on buildings and so on helped pushing the mood further. This is a great entry! Really nicely done, greetings from Germany.
Nice work! Like the sounds, the graphics and the level design. Good job on the theme! Some bg music would have been awesome, but I think in this case I value the different puzzle pieces and levels higher! -I'm on it!
This is indeed a really simple game, that somehow keeps me engaged anyways - it feels satisfying. I really like the art, I just wish there were some sounds or music, that would have been awesome. Good job on this entry!
Really nice little game! So many little details and I think it all fit together really well. I missed some music, but aside from that everything looked so polished! I really like you put in the screen shake toggle as well, I personally dont have any issues with that, but I know of many people who basically can't really enjoy games with that feature. Really good job for a 48 hour game! Well done!
Nice little game! Liked the little sound track. Fitting tthe theme quite nice!
Nice little game. Found 1 way to win. Background music would / sounds have been awesome!
This is a great little creepy scary game. I expected a jumpscare all the time - and actually the ending caught me offguard, so good job! Really nice atmosphere and mood in this game! I also like the voice acting!
Wow! This is a super polished game with so many little details! I love the art, and of course the voice acting was just another level to add to the overall brilliant mood. I think I still didn't figure out everything, since there are so many things you can do - and on top of that it's all narrated. Great! For a game jam entry this is very impressive. Well done!
I will definitely play this game some more to find out about every little building details and units you can use!
Btw: just saw it played on stream, and HAD to play it myself, it looks so beautiful :)
I like the style of the game. music and art fit well together. Sometimes the physics where a little off - I could get stuck in a wall when sliding it too fast or glitched onto a wall without being able to jump back down. With some bugfixes this looks like it has great potential. Well done!
Cool idea. Gameplay wise I think it feels a little repetitive pretty fast, but well done on the theme!
Great job on this entry! I really like the art and sounds. The gameplay is fun, yet I had really different level generations where once I figured everything out it suddenly becam super easy, and then the next game holes where spawning so fast I couldn't get to patch them all. I had hoped for another submarine to fix after I got the first one done, but I like that the new game option presents you somewhat of a different challenge each time.
Look and presentation of the overall game is definitely one of the best I have seen so far! Great job.
Wow we had so similiar ideas :D You did a great job on the entry. I like it. spacerunner2048.PNG
Well done, I love the rubber duckies xD
Nicely done! We had the same idea in mind, yet ended up creating pretty different games. I like the music and the intro sequence - good job telling the player what's going on. Also good overall difficulty curve, you can feel how it get's more intense after each planet.
I think you did a great job on hitting the theme! However, as many mentioned before I also think with another camera angle this could be so much more fun. If I just were able to look over her shoulders to see where I am actually aiming at would make it a lot more enjoyable to play. I think it would have been nice to give some kind of feedback to the player when killing an enemy or when an enemy reaches the tower (like a sound or a little effect). Overall a cool idea that needed just some more tweaking to feel a little better.
Very well done! This is a beautiful little puzzler, managed to finish the game in just a nice amount of time. The levels were very well designed in my opinion, to the point were I certainly needed to think my way through, but never felt frustrated because it seemed undoable. Really good job. One of my favs so far!
Wow! Nice entry. I love the pixel art, I love the sounds and I love the music :) Sometimes I had some audio bugs, where it suddenly became silent and loud again or the sfx was cracking. Also at some points you aren't allowed to jump even though it feels / looks like you are perfectly on a platform. Overall really well done!
Not sure if there is a win / lose state, since when I figured it out I reloaded the site to start and it all made more sense! Quite interesting idea, cool little concept with maybe some more polishing needed to give feedback to the player. Could be a nice little puzzler. The asteroids gave it a whole other level you needed to keep in mind, I liked that.
I think I had exactly the same experience as @ilseroth . Game looks nice, first I didnt really get the goal and lost about 3-4 logs, but then figured out how to defeat the beavers. The AI is nice, however I think with the game progressing the time they need to gather the logs schould be decreased, so you actually have to decide what beavers to leave and which to attack. Good entry.
This is an awesome entry! It got me right from the beginning. I love the style and the gameplay was surprisingly relaxing and fun! I discovered a little bug where I wondered why my plant got planted in space, which after the next upgrade became much more clear :D Some screenshots to clarify:
sc1.png
after the upgrade it was clear where it got planted:
sc2.png
I loved it - could not stop playing :P! Really great work!
@zykroma I think the ruling is, if it is a gamebreaking bug you are allowed to fix it, otherwise I'd say just leave it as is. You can still work on the project but since your version is actually perfectly playable I'd say work on it outside of this event. (This is my first Ludum Dare too, though, so maybe someone else knows the exact guideline. This is what I got from the [rules page](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules).)
I liked the concept you developed here. It is a quite interesting game, however I do agree that it is maybe missing some feedback to the player. Even though I played some more rounds to get the idea of what actually was going on and where I could make some impacting choices I did not really get that feeling.
However, that could certainly be achieved with the underlaying system you have here. Again I like it, it may just need some more tweaking to get to its full potential.
Good job overall. I actually quite like the artstyle!
I actually liked this game a lot. After the first two, three, four tries I didn't really find it that engaging, but once I "mastered" the movement system and began just moving with the dashes it all made so much more sense. I'm not sure if I agree that the movement is too slow. I think it rewards controlled and well aimed dashes. I also do think the controls are what makes this game different and while I found it quite strange the first few tries I actually enjoyed it in my last try where I got a lot more points.
Maybe it makes more sense putting those aiming controls on the arrow keys tho.
Art style and music / sfx fit really well together! I think this is an excellent entry, that I may even just keep on my PC as it is for some inbetween downtimes and fun gameplay! Great job!
*Edit: btw, I think you nailed the theme as well!*
Nicely done! I love the art style - it looks sooo cute! The game gets challenging quite quickly and I managed to improve a lot after figuring out the jumping mechanic xD Good job on the jam! Also: super cute cat  :smiley_cat:
Wow great entry! I love the art and music. It fits really well together. As for me personally: when going on walljump missions I like it more to play with the gamepad, nice you gave me that option! I think however, it would be better to bind the movement to one of the joysticks, for me that feels more natural and easy to control.
Best part was when I discovered the suits. Felt so revarding!
I overall really enjoyed this entry. I like the artstyle a lot and do think the music and sounds fit in as well. This is a nice little shooter! However I had one major problem with playing beyond a certain point, see below.
Technical feedback: I am not sure if this only happened to me, or if it's something that needs actual work. But the game got really laggy somewhere after the first two - three upgrades. It felt like there was maybe an issue with objects not getting cleared out or something, but I don't know. Tried it 3 times and it happened always around the same point in the game.
Aside from that (which may be a problem on my end or could be fixed pretty fast) I really like the mood and style of the game. Well done!
Impressive mood in this entry! I liked the art as well. I don't know if there is any (did not play for me in that case) but I think some silent background music could even push the mood further. Have it increase with the sound FX when anxiety is increasing and maybe that feel would be even more intense. Very well delivered feelings. Good job!
I enjoyed it! Overall cool little game, like the graphics and sound!
Cool little idea! Found it pretty hard to get the skeletons pushed into the graves tho - but I think it's a cool mechanic.
Nice entry! I really like the graphics style of the planets. Need to get used to the controls, but then it worked for me. Now I have my colony somewhere up there =)
Nice little mechanic - as some others mentioned before I think it would be better with some cooldown in place, so you can't abuse the cupspam.
simple but nice audio! Would have liked a background too!
Nicely done! I like the idea and you managed to follow the theme really well. I read about the bugs before playing and still encountered them sometimes, which felt a little awkward. Other than that it was quite a fun puzzler.
I think it's a nice concept, but I am with the others and think that it is a little too dark. It is pretty confusing when you play the first time and don't know about the extra vision and such. Found out about that, but still was pretty confused why I died sometimes. Overall nice idea, but pretty difficult as it is.
HTML5 does not show up unless you hit the fullscreen - then I was able to play it. You got me with that voice acting xD
Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out the controls.
@qazikol ahh :D mhm i simply didnt hit space, even though i myself created a game with only spacebar as well :D - now i got to play it. LOVE the art and music =) nice short story!
Hehe - same game name :D. Could not find planets like in your screenshots though.
@guilhermoni thanks for the clarification. Think overall the controls are indeed a little confusing. Good job on the graphics! Edit: Some audio would have been really nice to support the art style I think.
Seems to run very fast, controls sometimes have extreme feedback and sometimes lack a bit of responsiveness (played with xbox 360 controller). Overall a nice idea with some polishing needed.
I like the art style of the characters. It felt like the music kept on overlapping when the game got reset so there were multiple tracks playing. Also I found a little cheese where I could just stand in the bottom left corner and was safe the whole time. I maybe spend 2 minutes there just to check if any zombie reaches me, but noone cared :D Good job on a first jam, maybe some more bugfixing needed overall.
@haley you mean some kind of vertical walljumps?
@dk5000p I don't know why the web version didn't load for you. Tried it on some browsers on mac and windows, so far I had no problems. Thnks for downloading and testing :) Yeah, I tried to fit in as many informations as I could, but I simply ran out of time at the end.
@ad31 @tulipekoni I can feel the level design issue. Since there is pretty much only one control I felt like designing a level where you really have to learn it - I think the first level is a little easier, so everyone at least can advance through that. I also tried to open up multiple ways for the player to finish the second level, that's why you can find more jetpack chargers in there. But yeah, especially the second one can be unforgiving when you are just learning the controls. This would be a kind of mid / late game level if this game was published. (Sadly I had no more time to add some "learning curve" levels)
@ad31 I can't seem to reproduce the alien bug at the second level. Could you explain what you mean with "shards are to big / high"? Thank you for testing!
@blobo @derek-volker @eric-kulbiej @missalpha thank you for your feedback! Pleased that I managed to put something together that is actually enjoyable :)
@agecaf wow thank you for your detailed feedback! I had a blast making the game and it's nice to see it being appreciated. I had this ultimately planned as an endless runner but since time was pretty short decided to instead get some levels done because I was more experienced with that workflow. I actually do agree that those parts probably could feel a little disjointed. Good to know that "easy" games aren't "bad". I mean, I think I already knew that, because I do enjoy slower paced games myself, but probably got stuck within the platformer like, more difficult leveldesign anyways. Again: I really appreciate your feedback, thank you!
@Ad31 no worries, I am thankful for every feedback!! Thanks for elaborating. I think I get what you are saying and will consider that in future level designs. Of course I ran out of time at the end which is why I could not spend more time on testing the levels further, why some situations may feel a little too difficult / unbalanced.
@steffanie @ranjan Thank you for playing! I actually intended to create a soundatmosphere as you would imagine it in space. While coding I listened to some NASA recordings for reference.. :D If it was any near like that floaty relaxing ambience that I wanted to create I am really pleased you noticed that!
@reuno @marsepstein @mgsx Thanks again for the feedback! Interesting how different the level design can be received. Some before mentioned that it somehow contrasts the spacey feel of the game. While I can understand why it may feel like that, I am really happy you enjoyed where I went with it!
@noa-calice Wow thanks for your feedback! Means a whole lot to me :) Really glad you enjoyed my entry. The simple controls where my main focus while developing the idea. I figured that it needed to be easy to understand and pick up, so the player could focus on all the other little details I tried to put in.
@nessa Thank you for the feedback! So nice to see all the different entries and some of the stories behind them!
@supernapie If I understand correctly what you mean, that was actually a design choice. Since it is only the jump / jetpack mechanic you need to learn as a player I wanted to focus a little on the correct timing to complete the levels. THank you for playing!
@nick-rafalski thank you for the nice feedback! It's really much appreciated.
@zykroma funny, but I actually thought about that myself while playing the game today again to check back on it. I think I want to work a little more on this project anyways and probably will implement this feature. It would certainly add to the simplistic controls. Thank you for the feedback.
@fenderbate Thank you for the feedback! Yes, I think I mentioned it somewhere above, if I were to actually release a game with those mechanics the 2nd level would probably be something for the midgame. Glad you enjoyed it!
@gmaker Nice you got it done! Thanks for the kind words.
@tontonpizza Thank you for the feedback. I do agree the alien needs some more tweaking, especially when you just respawn it can sometimes really mess with you ;D Basically I ran out of time to optimize it further. I am however thinking about working further on this project and will definitely look into the enemy idea in general. The last jump there can probably be pretty frustrating. I intended it to be difficult, but the camera is moving a little slow maybe.
@spudboy Thank you for that feedback! I tried designing the 2nd level so that you can take any path that is presented to you and will be able to finish the level, however, I am seeing how it may be overwhelming as a 2nd level.
@fritz @andy-d Yea I wish I could have put one or two more levels, unfortunately I ran out of time. I am working on this game further, since I quite like the relaxing gameplay and will add some content to it :)
@andy-d Yes I think it's actually the hitbox of the player that sometimes can irritate a little. I took care of the spikes, but with the jump animation the hitbox of the character is sometimes a little of.
**Thanks to all the ratings I have received so far. This is really helping me out!** If anyone is really interested on an improved version of the game - I will work on this project further - give me a follow on [twitter](https://twitter.com/jackousgames) / [itch](https://jackousgames.itch.io/) or just on LD, I will post about it most certainly.
@tetra Thank you for playtesting. Actually really helpful to see the gameplay! I have been featured on another stream aswell today and that really helps understanding what is easy to understand / what's not - and what may be a little poor designed. I will let you know once there is a new version available.
@aterlamia @iballs Thank you guys for palying the game! The feedback is really valuable.
@jamesolivermusic Thank you for the feedback! Yea, well I was not expecting someone to test it on studio speakers :D The rumbling was intended, but I could imagine it is way too loud if listened to with a subwoofer. I'll see if I can turn it down a little, I created this effect to mimic the feel of space. Will look into the theme for the levels - originally I intended to have the music increase in tempo with the players movespeed, but there was not enough time for such details. (Rocket btw is I think the same sound but intentionally distorted to sound death xD)
I really liked it! Nice mouth work :P
Really impressive! This is a lot you got done within such short time! Nice you actually also put an ending screen with some scripted camera, I really like this entry! Well done.
Nice game. I actually liked the steering mechanic - seemed to work as I expected it too. However I tried gathering all those swimmers behind me and njust run them over at once (for the extra fun ofc xD) which lead to the "bug" that some of them actually reached my side and got into the boat. Maybe a little timer would be great for the swimmers to get inside the boat. Overall interesting take on the theme and innovative game. Well done.
*Edit* Oh yeah the ocean actually makes you feel a little dizzy quite fast.
Sad it ended so quickly. I basically just got in took that Hammer and smashed something and the game seemed over. But with that said, I really liked the atmosphere and you got that feeling of no space / "claustrophobia". Well executed, just a little short to get all the way where it could get.
Little technical feedback: the mouse sensitivity was way to high for my taste, I use a mouse with pretty low dpi and sensitivity already and it just felt really fast anyways.
I think theme and mood are the best executed positions in this entry!
I think that's an entry with quite some potential. Overall the movement felt fine, but I think an animation for kick / hit would've been great to feel more responsive. I also do think the hitbox of the character is a little to big.
Oh and sometime in the game the music just stopped playing :(
Cool concept overall, nice entry.
I liked the game! Very fitting sounds and art. Good job overall!
liked the sounddesign - maybe a music track would have been nice too!
Nice entry. I like the overall mood, it feels like you are controlling that space ship. However it took me quite a while to figure out the movement, and even when I did I had a hard time moving around and collecting lifecells to survive when accidently hitting asteroids. I think the movement would need some more tweaking, even though I enjoyed that it was something different. Good job overall!
managed to hit the theme pretty well!
Needed a while to get use to that bullet overflow, overall nice oldschool style
