Nice rules
haha thanks
This game is both visually and mechanically pleasing, but what I really like about is the eerie mood set up by the wonky and slightly offsetting music.
Very fun and fine-looking game. (animated zombies look fabulous). However camera is slightly slow, and i didnt always see whats in front of me, (collision masks also drive me crazy :pppp) But good entry after all.
thanks man
Art work is cool. Its a bit work to download .exe but artwork is good so worth it. Good try !! I love the gameplay.
Graphics are very nice, player and camara are a bit slow, but great game!
Very fun game ! The sounds and score aren't reseted after each death, so after few death, the audio overlaped. Good Job !
im sorry i ran out of time cus i needed to go to an bbq
Very nice for a first game Jam! Good job.
Nice work! I especially liked the post-it note menus, stylish.
Liked it a lot, the menu's reminded me a bit of the binding of isaac menu.
i know i got inspierd by it
Art style is nice and reminds me of Isaac, the collisions are a bit off but a cool idea either way.
Nice nice nice
Nice game! I noticed that moving both vertical and horizontal at the same time gives a bit of a speed boost ;) I guess this wasn't intended.
The art style is really pleasing, especially the main menu, i also love the music that gives the game a bit of a creepy feel. As for the gameplay, well, you just walk around trying not to die. But i think it still deserves a lot of praise just for the art style and music. Nice work.
realy apreciate it
I appreciate the work that went into the art, music, and fun menu in this game! I would have loved to see a bit more gameplay involved, though.
A few notes: When dealing with actor movement, you generally want to set a `moveSpeed`, and use actor input to control the identity of a vector. This way, you avoid having different move speeds when the actor moves diagonally. In pseudocode, this looks something like: ``` moveSpeed = 5; moveVector = Vector2(Player.HorizontalAxisInput, Player.VerticalAxisInput).identity * moveSpeed; ```
Additionally, please don't package into an installer for LudumDare, it's enough to just package your game into a zip file (this avoids unnecessary system bloat for the hundreds of LD games 3 times a year).
Overall, nice entry! I hope you come back this Winter for more.
Maybe I missed it but your supposed to make the source code available if you participate in COMPO. Anyhow nice work!
Loved the art style! Reminded me of Binding of Isaac!
I found it to be really tricky, and it fit the theme well! I did run into a bug where my time wouldn't reset after each try, but overall I enjoyed it!
Congrats on completing your first LD entry! That is no small feat!
I like the art style of the characters. It felt like the music kept on overlapping when the game got reset so there were multiple tracks playing. Also I found a little cheese where I could just stand in the bottom left corner and was safe the whole time. I maybe spend 2 minutes there just to check if any zombie reaches me, but noone cared :D Good job on a first jam, maybe some more bugfixing needed overall.
Not bad ! As others have said, the art definitively reminds me of Isaac. The music is pretty good, however, I noticed that another instance of it is played each time I restart, which can become pretty weird (just keep dying and clicking play again over and over and you'll understand what I mean ;) ).
Anyway, good work !
Hey there, good job with the game! I'm giving feedback considering that you're going to continue developing it.
My favorite part so far was the menu! The animation remind me 'Bind of Isaac'. Pretty nice.
But let's get into some criticism: • Be careful with "outside world" spawns. I died to a zombie that I couldn't see, feels frustrating.
• Interact more with your player. It lacks interaction. You don't need to go far to achieve this, maybe a block that you could push somewhere to protected yourself and block zombies path would be great.
• Music is great, congratulations. But it doesn't feel like it is part of the game.
That's all I can say. I've played for around ~2 minutes, die twice.
In case you continue to develop your game let me know! I'd love to see your progress, my info is on my LD profile.
Do you mind to give feedback to our game as well? (It’s a platformer, I don’t know if you like the genre but it is important for me to have feedback from player who like and dislike it). The link to it is on my profile, I won't post to avoid spam.
game worked well, kinda hard to follow the instructions though :P Personally I dislike installers, this may put of others from voting as well
Neat. The instructions/rules are very funny.
I think it needs a better mechanic than only running around, if you keep developing it. Maybe an ability to sprint, if you have the energy, but you need food to get the energy?
I'd be a little more generous in the hitboxes - gimme a few pixels of leeway when I'm near a guy.
