Pretty plain given the time frame, but cleanly executed. Where it lacks content it compensates with responsiveness.
Really cool concept, was kind of confused by how to minigame worked at first, but I pulled through, managed to complete the game. I really felt like the music and the graphics were the strong point of this game though, rather than the gameplay itself, enjoyed it either way!
Played it for a while, seemed pretty unresponsive, if it were more responsive it would have been a lot more fun
Really loved the concept. Felt really unique alongside the other games.
I don't know weather the gorgeous artstyle or the satisfying gameplay kept me playing 'til the very end. But I don't really care, the game was a lot of fun! Nothing else to add other than "Good Job"!
We were going for a more enclosed view on the game in order to give the player some sort of anxiety and not knowing what will be in front of you next, as for the turning animation it is true that it could be smoother, but we were really short on time and we tried to get the game out as soon as possible to avoid last minute traffic when uploading
Considering that some people can't seem to get past the first monster it says a lot about our way of doing the hiding place a.k.a. the wardrobe. The notes scattered around the map not only fill you in on the story, but some of them contain crucial information to your progression to the game. For instance, the first monster, as said in the note immediately near where you spawn in the game, can be beaten if you hide, in the wardrobe (the light going away when you enter it means that you are hiding). I will not spoil the way you beat the 2nd monster, I will let you realize it, as it gives you the chance to enjoy the story, as we intended it to be told.
@rkhadder @evert @ebediam @ranjan About the checkpoints... We didn't really take into consideration the game might become frustrating due to needing to backtrack, even though it was on the back of our minds that the player doesn't see the game through the same eyes as the developer. It is true that checkpoints would have made the game a lot less frustrating, but from a story standpoint it doesn't really fit and we tried sticking to our story as closely as we could.
SPOILER AHEAD! (For the people that find themselves a little confused because of the ending @gurkenlabs @ryzy27 @invixel)
The ending is supposed to portray the idea that the character is stuck in the constant loop of dying over and over again no matter his choices, thus succumbing to madness. We didn't think some people would actually manage to dodge the final monster (which is supposed to kill you), but either way congrats on finding a hole in our game and telling us about it, we really appreciate the feedback.
A very pleasant and gripping experience! I found myself playing the game all the way through, it was really satisfying seeing the little bacteria working and slowly building up a "community". The ending was just hilarious too! The game is not hard, but it didn't feel easy either. Great Job!
Very cool concept, didn't really get the correlation to the theme though. Had a lot of trouble with some of the puzzle, had to wrap my head around it somehow. The puzzles were really fun!
Really good concept, I really liked the old flash game look it had going, brought back some good memories. I would have turned down the difficulty curve a little though, it felt really unfair and overwhelming at times.
I was legit grooving to the soundtrack, really enjoyed how I had to think every time a new map layout loaded, though some of them felt impossible, but within the 72 hours given, it is more than enough.
Didn't really get what I had to do but I had a lot of fun flicking around the food and the pandas, though I somehow lost them and had no way of restarting (from what I've seen). Cool concept though.
Loved the idea and the game. The soundtrack was just hilarious!
I didn't see many idle games on this ludum dare, but the hacker attacks seemed a little too forced at times and all I could do at a point is just buy the weakest battery. Of course, I could just be bad at the game, but I consider there should be some way of working around the wall in the progression of the game. Cool concept though.
Really loved the concept and the arstyle, I didn't get the fertilizing part, but I think I got pretty far.
Very nice concept, didn't really get the science part, but I brute forced my way through it and it worked. Loved the artstyle, especially the tiny astronaut!
Really enjoyed the concept, survived till 24, couldn't help but always be alert when the death was closing in on me.
I think I got the good ending, couldn't really feel like I had anything to do other than drink water and eat every day. I think I know what the Tree on the end screen requires, but I don't know how to get to it. Very quirky artstyle, didn't see anything like it in any of the other submissions, it's always a breath of fresh air seeing somebody pull of the "stunt" of using a very minimalist pixel artstyle in a game jam, where, from what I can see, people try to make their games as good looking as possible.
Loved the concept, but it felt really slow at times, a sprint button would have made the game a lot more enjoyable, though audio detection takes a lot of time. For the time given, the mechanics worked smoothly and I really enjoyed the soundtrack.
Very cool concept, loved the art style, took me a little to figure out what i was supposed to do, but I pulled through. I don't know what I did wrong though, the train stopped working even though I had full coal and the passengers were all fed and had their tickets checked.
Didn't really get what I was supposed to do, but I think I broke the game. All the ghosts were stuck. Loved the artstyle though.
Very innovative gameplay! I enjoyed it so much, I liked glitching the player with the plank in order to get height/glide, it just seemed hilarious to me. I also liked the rather smooth difficulty curve, the levels didn't get instantly harder, they progressively got harder and harder. Nice game design!
@dummy432 what build did you download? The one on itch.io or the one here?
@dummy432 try the version on itch.io it is more stable, we'll also add that same download here for conveniance
The game is simply oozing with personality holy crap, very nice presentation
Very cool concept, really loved the aesthetic, didn't really get what I was supposed to do though...
Very satisfying gameplay, a little to easy though. Good Job overall!
Really nice concept, a little bit of a grind though. It took me a while to realise what the energy drinks were doing, since it wasn't very obvious without reading the game description, but overall a fun game.
Pretty cool take on the theme, love the vampire survivor inspiration
Holy!!! I really love the concept, really unique! AIGalleryPainting-2022-10-08_11-31-03.png
Really loved the artstyle, couldn't make it 'til the end since I didn't know whether or not I was able to get some air some other way, or if there was a faster way of getting down. It would've been nice if I the breath timer was always 10 seconds when you were on the surface, made me wait a lot of times just so I could get a good diving attempt.
Very cool take on the theme, couldn't quite catch most of the mechanics straight from the game though...
Really loved the gameplay, day 2 really caught me off guard lol
Very nice concept, reminded me of the cell stage in Spore! The Survivor elements took me by surprise when I filled up the bar.
