Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

Cool game ! It's interesting to see how use drawing on paper. I managed to solved few puzzles, nice ideas !

readyplayertom 2020-04-22 16:50

This is really a cool idea! And the graphics are awesome!

exainz 2020-04-22 16:51

noamraz 2020-04-22 16:51

pixel-error 2020-04-22 16:51

This game pooled my brain and i like it

studionokoi 2020-04-22 16:51

very cool art style, i like the idea of it being more of a multiple choice game. very unique, you have something cool here.

drskort 2020-04-22 16:54

Pretty cool entry ^^ I really liked this unique idea and design. Didn't expect a game with bootstrap ^^ It honestly felt like an iq test, but the idea was still very good. I'm just a bit tired now ^^ Cool entry :)

aguahervida 2020-04-22 16:56

I liked the game! It's a very simple art style and the music is a great complement. I like games that makes you think, I would add some transitions between scenes to make it feel more fluid, had a great time playing it, good job.

Quite nice, with a nice little story. Enigmas are a little too hard to me. Still, it was quite fun to play !

gamescodedogs 2020-04-22 16:59

Thank for the game :) It's a bit unfair to give me a game about a coding guy and a cat )) You knew that I am a big fan of while True: learn()!! I love how you combine puzzles and math tasks with stylish drawings and scenario :) Wish you the best of luck!

pxgluz 2020-04-22 16:59

Very cool concept, didn't really get the correlation to the theme though. Had a lot of trouble with some of the puzzle, had to wrap my head around it somehow. The puzzles were really fun!

marcusnystrand 2020-04-22 17:02

nice drawings!

r3l0ad1 2020-04-22 17:03

magoca 2020-04-22 17:04

Well designed puzzles and hilarious story. Also, I think the visual style fits very well within the game. Congratulations, it is an amazing submission!

bitpokit 2020-04-22 17:04

I love any game with a cat in it! :smiley_cat: Good job!

versatilesponge 2020-04-22 17:06

Hey, Nice concept ! Couln't win, I ran out of time, I couldn't answer the calculues properly twice lol. But the challenges were interesting. I enjoyed playing this game

nounka 2020-04-22 17:07

This little game was quite funny and lovely. Puzzles were hard but i was so happy when I succeed in the maths puzzles ! A restart Button would be nice to start it other easily but otherwise good job guys !

zlabya 2020-04-22 17:10

Hmmm, i helped all the girls but i didn't do the work :D nice game.

galactic-chimp 2020-04-22 17:11

Hmm, the art was interesting, and the coder's "NOOOOO" was funny, but I didn't really like the game, sorry :(

le-slo 2020-04-22 17:13

Funny little game, but it is possible to win? I did a perfect coding run, visiting zero friends (super cruel, but it wasn't my first time, I just wanted to watch the ending) and I still didn't finish my work, I'm definitely not the best coder I guess... Some logic puzzles were nice, but maths? Not very fun to do some simple calculations. Also whatever choices I did, I passed through all the questions and situations, so I guess time stretches to my will, something like picking some random events (and not all events) would give replayability to the game, the same way as reordering the answer for the test, so trial and error is prevented (but difficult to do with those cute pen and paper drawings). With some small changes this could be pretty fun!

Great game, I liked it.

good work, keep it up.

guy-withivy 2020-04-22 20:05

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions. So... the target is not to keep alive your project, but to keep alive your humanity helping your friends... Perhaps it is not clear in the story, but this was our intent, the theme that we want to transmit... a bit autobiographic indeed ;) thank you again to all of you @julienlussiez @readyplayertom @exainz @noamraz @pixel-error @studionokoi @drskort @aguahervida @minusc @gamescodedogs @pxgluz @marcusnystrand @game-coder28 @magoca @bitpokit @versatilesponge @nounka @zlabya @galactic-chimp @le-slo @burg113 @pilarius

Hey, I thought about that possibility, I actually played 4 runs:

-Helped sometimes and worked sometimes, a balance, those actions were organic to me. I got this ambiguous ending where I didn't have time to finish the job, and neither humanity. That's when I though about the humanity ending.

-I helped every one of my friends and didn't care about the code. I got a gameover ending and I thought that was the end if I followed that path. (See run 4 for future realization).

-I did a perfect work run, avoiding every friend and answering correclty every test. Another bad ending, that felt a bit cheap, it would be better if I kept the job, but at what cost.

-I tried again the humanity run, but paying attention to the code questions. I won the game. (When I asked for impossible to win the game, I should have used different words) Now I see that there wasn't actually gameplay sacrifice when helping friends, which is not consistent with the story in my opinion. Also since the theme was staying alive, how will they live after losing the job? The intro is a bit misleading. It is a good hearted message, and I enjoyed the intentions, but I think there are some inconsistencies that make the game not as powerful as it could be. Nonetheless I did enjoyed a lot the game and think you did a great job, just trying to show some criticism since giving well thought feedback is my favourite part of the jam, so it's not just a competition of making games, but an opportunity to learn, trying to point what are the good parts of a game and the flaws as well as listen to others criticism (as long as it is constructive). **Keep the good job**!
