Really interesting take on the theme, I really enjoyed it. The controls felt a bit weird at the start, but I got used to them

Nice idea, fun to play!
I like the idea a great deal, though I'll admit I'm no good at chess games! I will admit I'm not sure what's going on with the graphics, a lot of it seems blurry and pixelated, which takes away from the overall feel a bit. Also there seems to be some typos in the text, but it's perfectly fine.
A very fun game stuck to the game jam theme well. The levels were fun and tricky. I did not understand the enemy troops movement or enemy horses movement at first, but once I figured it out I enjoyed the game a lot more.
Love it, really fun to play and simple to understand :D
That was really interesting. The goal of "rebuilding" the king was interesting. A nice concept of "keeping it alive". One thing that set me off was awkward, but it was understandable (and I can't judge as some creators do not speak English). The A.I. is hard to read and seems random so completing a level is sometimes impossible. I do like how losing rearranges the map so each experience is different. Art looks cute and feels good and progress is fine.
Another Game based on chess pieces! This is a great game, but having indicators where the pieces could move would be great!
Great entry! Had fun using the chess mechanics with a clear goal!
I was legit grooving to the soundtrack, really enjoyed how I had to think every time a new map layout loaded, though some of them felt impossible, but within the 72 hours given, it is more than enough.
I liked it. Good soundtrack and art. But it was hard for me to understand enemies movement patterns.
Great game! The music is so fun, the messages the king says are fun, the challenges for each map are fun. I loved!
Cool game! Liked the idea of recovering the king. Easy controls and fastly understandable movements of figures. Thank you!
The music was groovy and the game is fairly easy to get into. I think it's a cool game overall. Good job.
Nice game. I love the art in this game.
Very clever use of chess mechanics!
I like the idea, character and story is original and fun. Fortunately it's easier than the real chess game ^^, good job.
Interesting game! But I would change the controls or the perspective. WASD directions confuse me a lot with isometric. It's definitely very difficult game at least for me!
Soooooo clever idea! Reusing the chess game this way is so cool! The AI is a bit random though, so it is at the same time difficult to anticipate the next move but also very easy if the AI doesn't chase you. A more polished version of this game could definitely be very enjoyable to play! :D
Really cool idea here. This game surprisingly challenging after a while. The perspective messed little bit the controls, but once you got them it was fine
Loved gameplay, sound and the concept, but i would suggest not haveing random enemy placement and having a Into the Breach sytle system where u know exatey when the enemy AI will move next because it was diffculty to tell where they were going to go based on my next move.
I love it! I'm a chessnoob but know some movements of the enemies and even though it said "CHESSBOARD" I didn't realize my enemies are chess figures so I straight ran into an enemy. Compared to others I had no problem with WASD (I WOULD have had them if the camera moved too) and I think it's really smooth made! Love the graphics too! Well done :)
Really nice concept, simple and fun :)
I reeaally suck at chess but had good fun with this. I found the isometric angle made it a little difficult to see where the enemies could move but the speed of play kept me having fun when I skrewed up. Good job!
I am so bad at chess :D And it took me some time to realize they are moving like prope chess peaces... But I did it! Really nice game, good job!
