The game is very glitchy and the objective isn't too clear
I don't no what do you want to express and how to play
I couldn't control the ship very well but once I lasted about 30 seconds. Good work.
In the beginning I didn't quite understand what to do, but at the end, I sort of got the controls down and it was quite fun.
This was my first attempt with unity and we pushed the platforms falling at the last minute, in retrospect maybe without enough time to balance. I may have pushed to make the game too hard to compensate for being short with only a couple levels. I learned many things and had fun with @addison-hudzik who helped me appreciate games growing up--thanks Addison!
For a first attempt its a start on the path to a decent platformer - its all about learning! Good effort, thanks for taking time to make this!
I couldn't grasp the controls. It runs though!
Controls are hard, and its pretty cool!
It's a good first attempt, and it visually comes together strong. The physics are just too glitchy unfortunately.
Controls are very hard, too hard, but it's a cool game ! :D
Sometimes physics a really going crazy! Was not able to collect any survivors. Good luck!
Lovely first attempt but the controls are all over the place and the world spinning can be a bit nauseating. Keep at it though! :smiley_cat:
I wasn't entirely sure where I was supposed to go, but I think it does fit the theme well as it's difficult to stay alive.
Thank you for the entry!
I am glad I was not drunk during this game otherwise I would have to pain the wall. It felt a bit nauseting.
I liked the idea of crashed spaceship. Visual is also good but I was not able to grasp the physics and how to behave in order to progress in the level. Anyway thanks to being it such a challenge it kept me playing because I just wanted to find out what is going on.
Keep at the work! Thanks!
Was not expecting a platformer so it took a while to get the controls. A good attempt and a nice style of art which could look quite evocative if worked on a bit more. With a bit more time and bug-fixing this could be quite fun.
Cool game!
As others have pointed out the spaceship is a bit hard to control. But this is also has the benefit of making the game a bigger challenge and therefore more fun. I really enjoyed the struggle of trying to reach the next platforms again and again before losing the ground I stand on.
Although i have to admit that it sometimes felt a bit unfair when you saw the next to platforms fall to the ground before you even left the platform you were standing on at that time.
The simple graphics were really good and fitted the game well. I also liked the thruster animation and the particle effect ( I love particle effects :P ).
I hope you had fun and keep making games! I would also be really happy if you took the time to try out our game and give some feedback :)
Very strange and difficult game. However I had a lot of fun trying out different strategies to get even a little bit further! Definitely very original.
Didn't understand. I liked the music and visuals but I couldn't figure out the goal here.
Game idea is not bad but its rly hard to control
Frankly it's broken. Is it a platformer or a top-down space game? After the fourth time attempting to use it as a platformer and getting punished by the gravity turning sideways I had to call it.
To be honest, the gravity changes were somewhat disorienting. But I eventually managed to clear the first level! Good first attempt with Unity.
Like others mentioned, it was difficult to figure out the objective. I think getting the controls a little more streamlined can do a lot of good.
Good entry. Unfortunatelly it isn't playable as it is, but congrtulations for the effort!
10/10, enjoyed the seizures.
The objective wasn't super clear. I'd add instructions. The controls were super jumpy and I had no clue how they worked or the mechanics of the game. There was no goal or instruction. No points. The art was super programmer art if that was better the gameplay would sort of be worth overlooking but not in this instance. Definitely good practice, try again next year and take all these tips into consideration.
@rhinofreak I think you are joking, but if not I want to take this seriously--is there something in the game that should be removed or warned about re: seizures? I'm not certain if I still have the source, but I certainly would not want to cause anyone harm. Thanks for playing.
How did you make the gravity do whatever it's doing here?!
IMO this is actually a really interesting entry, it feels glitchy and looks bizarre, but somehow that makes for a pretty unique *thing*. I've actually been thinking about making something with a similar feel to this for a while already, so your game gave me some extra ideas there.
I can't actually rate your game (did you disable ratings?).
hm..can't rate this it seems. ...but..I have no idea how to play this either. xD
Everyone can use https://paperwall101.com to find some inspiration to write academic papers. They have a rich database of assignments on different topics.
Can't figure out how to play. Should have a tutorial scene or something to point players to the right direction.
The controls are really difficult
My best result is 5 seconds!
Interesting, but difficult control of the ship. I'm sorry, I didn't manage to go far, so the goal of the game was not clear.
Great game!
Online casinos and gambling, in general, are more popular now. I am a gamer myself and everything suits me. You can now play safely at the casino by depositing and withdrawing funds using innovative systems. i cant play the game :/
Wild controls, but it has a neat soundtrack and potentially cool art.
Unique artstyle.
I think the choice of a spaceship for a platformer was a bit confusing. It gave the impression to me as a player that I should fly, not jump. I'm not sure what the large blue things are or why they keep dissappearing.
The art style and the sound are very good. I didn't understand the objective and why I died but I think a tutorial would solve that.
Although the description is OK, I still could not play for more than 10sec without gameover and really getting the gameplay. And there was no obvoius reason for the gameover
Hello! Congratulations on your first attempt. Some broadstroke feedback for the next project:
It will do a lot of good for a game if the art assets are of a similar resolution. Meaning if the pixels are the same size. The difference between the ship, platforms and meteoroids is slightly jarring.
Punishing difficulty in this genre is a good idea, but the player should feel like the mistakes are their own. Right now it feels like the ship flips to the side for random reasons. This essentially already makes you lose but then you have to helplessly flop over the side as well, to restart.
Visual indications are also important to relay important gameplay elements to the players. At first glance it looks very much like an asteroids game or a shoot em' up. So even though I know it's a platformer, I still feel like I should be able to fly. Also platforms that disappear, but can still be jumped on, are kind of confusing.
This might seem harsh, but I took the time because I see there has been effort put in the game and I hope you keep developing!
After typing that all out I realize this is an entry for an old LD :D oh well.
Can't make progress in game. Too unstable.
what an interesting take on controls, took a while to figure them out  Fits the 'unstable' theme perfectly, thanks for making this!
UPD: haha, just noticed it was for LD42!
Didn´t undertand it at all.
If you are not an opponent of the game, then I recommend you the site with the best online casino platforms https://nodepositz.com/casino-cruise/ which you can use at any time of the day and I visit him very often.
Interesting game but it isn't obvious what the goal is or why things start spinning around. Also, once things start spinning it is difficult to know what your orientation is relative to your starting orientation.
However, it is a working, playable game made in 72 hours. Well done!
The movement of the spaceship is a bit difficult to understand but I was able to jump over some platforms after all. Nice first game with Unity :)
I’ll be honest here: I couldn’t figure out how the controls worked. Despite that I managed to go a couple seconds without dying. Some explanation in game or even on this page would help a lot!
The controls are super confusing, I think we probably shouldn't be able to rotate the player? It's kind of hard to tell what the objective is before the first couple of platforms as I inevitably end up stuck on my side or flying to my death.
Like others have said the controls are pretty confusing to understand. I liked the graphics though!
The controls are a little confusing. But from what I've played, I'm getting that the space ship does not have power and it's getting pulled by gravity to a planet. I have to land on the planet and save as many people on the way as possible. Let me know if you guys improve the controls! I will give it another shot!
I am confused on how to play this game. The objectives are unclear and what exactly is falling? Am I supposed to catch them?
Exciting game mechanics with screen flips. The game is fun to play 👍
maybe the game need polish. First at all, maybe you shoud block the camera rotation. Despite everything, I understand the idea to be carried out, and I would love to see it fixed. I have high hopes for this game.
LOL this is a game from Ludum Dare 42 , why was it suggested for LD55 rating? :-)
